Kagome wished she could get over it. She knew she could never go back to the Feudal Era. She could never see Inuyasha again.

Kagome didn't comment when the Sohma students at her new school had animal spirits. She kept the secret and stayed out of their way.

Kagome was done with all of it. She didn't want to get hurt again.

But here Kyo was, buying her a drink, sitting across from her, awkward but trying. And all she could do was cry.

"Why are you still crying?" Kyo asked again.

"Because you're cheering me up," Kagome said sadly. "You need cheering up, you need happiness more than anyone, with the zodiac..."

Kyo shushed her. "How did you...?"

"I'm a priestess." Kagome admitted. "Don't worry about it. Report it to Akito if you have to. It won't matter. Wiping my memory won't work. If it would, I'd have done it long ago."

"So there's something you want to forget?" Kyo pressed.

"Yeah." Kagome said, in a final tone that ended the conversation. "It was a good date." She laughed at his blush. "See you around, Kyo."

Kyo sat there, blushing in shock, as she walked away.
