Sarven was a simple man. He Knew he was a scumbag. He Has the loot of a wandering trader he killed after all. And Multiple pillagers have paid him top dollar to get the loot to their base. He was poor unfortunately. And this was the best thing he could do.
So he had a heavy heart in his chest when he landed his amphithere on the roof of a Woodland mansion. He got off and grabbed his Travel sack. "I'll be back. Don't you worry." Sarven tells the creature. Who lightly chirped in worry. "I know. I'm be back. I promise." He says.
He turns to the only room that is on the roof and heads over. Feeling tense when he met the guard there. He motioned to his loot and the guard let's him through.
The guard leads him through the halls with another holding a Rifle crossbow hybrid behind him. Sarven didn't dare turn his head. But he managed to catch glimpses of things that set him on edge. Greifers were filling their blasters with Alumentum and blaze rods, Evokers were Making longer Jaws Come from the ground. That now seem to close four ways with longer more viscous teeth. Illusioners playing cards with their clones. It set Sarven on edge.
But he steeled himself as he Was led to a treasury to drop his loot off. A hoarder villager took them and Sarven breathed a sigh of relief. The worst was over. He was about to leave when a Guard stopped him. "The king wishes to see you." He spoke.
Sarven gulped and let himself be led to a new place within the mansion. When he enter the throne room he saw a King that oozed fear. He wore lavish velvet robes over his form. His grown fitted with the most beautiful of gems and made of the most precious of gold. Above his throne chair was a hanging statue of a Chimera like being in flight.
The beast was as big as level 3 dragon. On its back were wide wings on which it flew on. which also acted as its front limbs. Its short stubby feet pulled back. Its tail splitting at the end and its head made from a real dragon skull. But on its chest and belly was a marking that resembled a gate. with a stained glass window obscured by something.
"Sarven Martyr. Correct?" He asks. No. Demands. "Y-yes sir. You w-wanted to speak with me?" Sarven asks. "Yes. I wanna ask. Why did you bring the villager guards here?" He asks. Sarven paled. "E-excu-" "DON'T LIE TO ME! You led the Village guards here didn't you!? What the hell were you thinking!?" The king demands.
"I swear My King! I've never led anyone here! I have no idea why they are here!" Sarven pleads. "Then why are they demanding for me to relinquish a treasure right now?" The king asks. "W-what?" He asks.
"You heard me! Right now there is a group of Village guards outside my mansion demanding I relinquish the Modbreaker. I don't have anything like that!" The king demands. "I'm S-sorry my king! I have no idea what they are reffering to. I myself do not know what this Modbreaker is either." Sarven explains.
The king scowls and Sarven whimpers under his glare. "Alright then. If you won't tell me. Then I'll have to send a message. Guards. Hold him down." The king illager orders.
Sarven felt two guards grab him and he began to panic. "WAIT! NO! NO!" He yells in a panic. "Executioner. Bring the sword." The king orders. The executioner nodded and Opens a display case. In was a Beautiful long sword. The blade made of an alloy of metals unknown to everyone. The curved crossguard holding a caged gem that seems to have no support in it. The handle was made of a warped stem cut and stained into a dark blue. And the pommel was a gold sphere with a divot at the end.
Up in the air the Hanging dragon lightly shuddered. And the hidden stasis chamber in the dragon was begin to release the person inside.
"For the crime of betrayed king Falnik the third. You shall die by my hand." King Falnic declares as he brings the sword up. "PLEASE! NO!" Sarven begs.
"Now do me a service and relinquish your life." He says as he brings the blade down.
The Dragon roared as The entire mansion shuddered under its call. The Amphithere above was Screeching but soon calmed down. As if it heard the command of the dragon.
Falnick Covered his ears and when it stopped he looked up to see the Metal plating of the Dragon's Belly had fallen off. he looks up to see in shock something he never would have imagined. It was a Human. In a Vat of liquid that was being drained away. His body bare bones with just a Mask over his mouth and nose. Various tubes going into his body. Only a pair of boxers to cover his modesty. His long hair clung to his body as the liquid had drained.
Then a multitude of things happened when he opened his eyes. The liquid had finished draining, the glass slowly slid open vertically, the mask and tubes retracted, and the Sword Shuddered and Flew up to the person. who fell and caught the blade as he fell. He spun in the air once and Landed on his feet and hands. King Falnick's word went split as his entire top half of his head fell backwards. Falnick stumbled and attempted to reach out only for him to fall to the floor. Blood splattering the Person's face.
No one spoke. No one moved. Then the one holding the sword stood up, and spoke. "May the sinners repent for attempting to kill an Innocent." He declares pointing his sword to the Illagers.
"KILL HIM! HE KILLED THE KING!" An Illager yells. and Like a switch has been flipped, Almost every guard and Illager ran straight at the Attacker ready to kill him.
The man freed from stasis known as Markus grinned. He always relished a good fight. He Swung his sword and Dashed.
Meanwhile Sarven was just booking it out of here. He wanted out of this mansion. He ran Past The Illager's and Residents of this mansion that had all but kept their focus on the unexpected assassin.
He ran. And ran until he couldn't run anymore. And in response to it he kept running. He just wanted to get out of this crazy place. He finally reached the top floor and saw that his amphithere was still here. He Smiled and ran for it. Only to gag and feel a Blunderbuss be put to his head. "Don't come any closer!" The Man who had taken him hostage yells to Markus.
Markus stopped in amusement. With a few clothes he looted from the Illagers on his shoulders and his Blade in his other hand. The Weapon itself stained with the blood of the villagers behind him.
"Oh that's cute. You think that will affect me?" He asks. "I said don't come any fucking closer! I'll blow this fucker's brains out dammit!" The Illager yells. Markus chuckles and stabs his sword into the floor. "Alright. I need to get dressed anyway." He remarks. He then pulled up a pair of jeans and hooked a belt onto himself. The Illager was confused and Decided to back away to the amphithere. Ready to hijack it.
"Besides. I won't be the one killing you?" Markus remarks putting a dark cyan shirt on. The Illager gave a confused look at him then felt pain. The Amphithere had bitten his arm and pulled his hand with the Gun in it away. It tossed him aside and Pounced on him. Tearing into him with its beak. All the while the Illager screamed as he died.
Sarven watched in Astonishment at this. His amphithere was never this aggressive. Markus meanwhile had come back up after getting dressed to now hold one of the weapons the Greifers had. A rucksack on his back full of items he took. And a scabbard to put his sword in. He Grabbed a spare shirt and Wiped his blade clean to then sheath it.
The cage shutting as the collected souls were stored in it. Sarven grabbed the pistol and pointed it straight at Markus. "Don't come any closer!" he warns.
"Don't worry. I'm not gonna harm you." Markus says as he steps over to the Amphithere. "Hello my reptilian avain friend. Was it good to save your master?" He asks it. He gets the Amphithere to rub its head against him. Making him chuckle. "Awe. I know. Let me clean your beak real quick." He says. "W-who, Who are you?" Sarven asks. Markus Turned to him as he wiped the Amphithere's blood off. "Me? I'm Markus D. Thaumius." He declares.
