Because I forgot to explain what they looked like in the last chapter, you all know what Rini looks like: but she has long pink hair tied into pigtails with buns that look kind of like rabbit ears and has red eyes.
Haku has dark blonde, almost brown hair and blue eyes.
"Daddy—where are we going?" Amaya asked, rubbing her eyes as Trunks set her in her car seat.
"We are going to get Ms. Usagi, Rini and Haku. I know; it's early. You can go ahead and go back to sleep for a while. Dashi, Kishu; come on, or we're going to be late!" Trunks calmly told Amaya before calling to his boys.
"Coming!" Dashi and Kishu called, pushing and shoving each other to get to the front—or so Trunks thought.
"I don't know why you're shoving and pushing each other, when you both know you're not big enough to sit in the front yet." Trunks told his boys.
"We know that. We want the seat behind the passenger seat." Dashi answered.
"You mean your sister's spot? You both know why I have her in that specific spot. She didn't have a good night last night, so keep down and let her sleep. Now, get in. Come on." Trunks explained, standing by the minivan.
"If you promise not to fight, sit still, and wear your seatbelts, you may sit in the back—the way back." Trunks told his boys, getting their attention right away as they immediately got in.
Forty Minutes Later:
"Well, this is the place. Wait here until I come get you. And keep the doors locked." Trunks sternly told the kids; he didn't like the looks of the neighborhood.
"Yes, Dad." Dashi and Kishu replied at the same time.
"And watch your sister. I want you both by her." Trunks demanded this time.
The boys didn't say anything; they just climbed up by a sleeping Amaya.
Once he knew the boys were watching their sister, he went up to Apartment 5B.
"Oh, good. We found the right place." Goten stated with a smile, following Trunks with Bulla, Gohan, and Videl.
"Bulla, what are you doing here?" Trunks asked, slightly annoyed.
"Mom sent me; it was me or her." Bulla answered.
"Fine. Just stay with Goten, Gohan, and Videl." Trunks told Bulla, walking up the steps.
Knock. Knock.
Knock.
"Hello?" Usagi tiredly asked, opening her door to reveal Trunks and the others.
"Good morning." Trunks replied with somewhat of a smile.
"What are you doing here?" Usagi asked, confused.
"Well, we're here to help you move. You did get your stuff packed, didn't you?" Trunks asked, concerned.
"I did—but I didn't think you'd be here until later." Usagi answered, kind of shocked.
"The sooner the better. Plus, I took off work for this." Trunks stated.
"Did you bring Amaya?" Rini asked, coming to the door.
"What about Dashi and Kishu?" Haku called from behind Usagi and Rini.
"Yeah, they're waiting in the van. I knew Amaya really wanted to see Rini again. And the boys; they seemed to like Haku. Not the original plan, but both my parents had to work—and couldn't get off work. No offence, but I really wish I had a sitter for today…" Trunks answered and then explained.
"Yeah… I know, but it's all I can afford. And it's not too terrible; most leave my kids and me alone." Usagi replied, knowing the look on Trunks's face.
"Ok. By the way, these are my friends, Gohan and Goten, my sister, Bulla and Gohan's girlfriend, Videl; Goten and Bulla are dating. Everyone, this is Usagi and her twins, Rini and Haku." Trunks introduced everyone, making somewhat of a face that Bulla and Goten couldn't see.
"Hello. Well, get your kids and come in. While it's not horrible; it's safer in the house." Usagi insisted, inviting them into her small, one-bedroom apartment.
"Ok. Go straight to Ms. Usagi. Do not stop until you get inside. Walk, quickly but don't run, and watch where you're going." Trunks strictly told Dashi and Kishu.
"Yes, Dad." Dashi and Kishu replied, stepping out of the van.
"I'll race you." Dashi told Kishu, pushing him back a little, and took off running.
"Hey! That's not fair!" Kishu yelled, running after Dashi.
"Hey! I said no running! Be careful! Watch where you're going!" Trunks yelled, watching the boys.
Too late:
Kishu and Dashi both tripped over a pipe sticking out of the ground:
Dashi, who fell first, got the side of his leg on the pipe—but it wasn't terrible.
Kishu hit the pipe but tripped over Dashi's foot and cut his hand and knee on some glass.
"We got them!" Gohan and Goten called, picking the boys up.
"I'll get them cleaned and bandaged up!" Usagi called from her door.
"Ok… Come on." Trunks sighed before going to remove Amaya from her car seat.
"Mmmm…" Amaya moaned, fussing a little.
"I know, but you can't stay in the van." Trunks gently told his daughter, laying her head on his shoulder before shutting and locking the van.
Once inside, Usagi started cleaning Dashi's leg before bandaging it. She then moved all the glass stuck in Kishu's hand and knee, cleaned the areas, and bandaged him.
"How are they?" Trunks asked, walking in while Usagi was working on Kishu.
"They're fine and will live. Have they had tetanus shots?" Usagi asked, finishing with Kishu.
"Yeah, they're all vaccinated." Trunks answered, watching Usagi with his boys.
"They'll be fine. That damn pipe… I don't know how many times I've called the owner, manger, or whoever about it. Both Rini and Haku have hurt themselves on it. And now—kids who don't even live here got hurt on it. Their last solution was to stack rocks over it. It worked until whenever the brats of this area take and chuck them at animals. Which reminds me; I have two cats: Luna and Diana." Usagi mumbled to herself, annoyed before coming back to reality.
"That's fine; Amaya wants a kitten—of two." Trunks replied.
"Or ten-hundred." Dashi stated.
"What? It's true. She says it every day with her arms up." Kishu defended Dashi.
"That's enough. Are your cats good with dogs? The boys want a puppy." Trunks told the boys before asking Usagi.
"Umm… I don't really know; I've never had them around dogs before." Usagi replied.
"Ok. We'll just have to test those waters when they come. Which—at this point I don't know if we'll have to." Trunks replied, getting reactions out of his boys.
"Why not?!" Dashi and Kishu panicked, standing up—hobbling a little.
"Why not? You both disobeyed me when I told you not to run to Ms. Usagi. I told you to quickly walk, not run." Trunks scolded both boys.
"Sorry." Both boys sincerely apologized, plopping back onto the old couch.
"Thanks for that. Now, we'll talk about your groundings later. I don't wanna hear any complaints. Even one complaint comes from either of your mouths, there will be no puppies." Trunks sternly informed his sons.
"Yes, Dad…" Dashi and Kishu mumbled.
While this was going on, Usagi called her friends to come over and help.
"You know; for such a small apartment, you sure have a lot of things." Goten finally spoke up, looking around.
"Most of its Rini's and Haku's; I left most of my stuff at my parents'." Usagi answered, looking at the others.
"I see." Trunks, Gohan, and Goten, responded, looking around.
"Well, at least you're upgrading. Ow!" Goten happily stated and then exclaimed, holding his head; Gohan hit him over the head.
"Stop being so rude." Gohan scolded his brother.
"It's ok. And thanks again for letting me, Rini, and Haku stay with you and your kids. Uh-oh… Ummm… please make yourself at home." Usagi thanked before nervously insisting, heading outside.
There was a man with black hair and blue eyes standing out there with a girl with long black hair and purple eyes.
"Mamoru, Rei, what are you doing here?" Usagi asked, slightly annoyed.
"What is the meaning of you moving out of this perfectly good apartment, and into some guy's house?" Mamoru demanded, pissed off.
"It's just for a job; I'm watching his kids for him. And his name is Trunks Briefs." Usagi seriously answered.
"As if Trunks Briefs would hire the likes of you." Rei snobbishly shot at Usagi.
"Actually, I did." Trunks spoke up, looking at Rei as he walked out with Amaya, still asleep.
"Why would you want her? She's so classless." Rei stated, watching Trunks.
"I like her for my kids; she really good with them. From what I can tell from here, she has more class than you." Trunks calmly responded, rubbing Amaya's back, offending Rei.
"So why are my children moving in with you as well?" Mamoru demanded, pissed off.
"Because they're my children; I have full custody of them after you gave up all your rights." Usagi fired back.
"I don't wanna go with them!" Rini yelled from the steps.
"I know, Baby." Usagi called back.
"Baby, it's me; it's Daddy…" Mamoru started.
"I know who you are; you hurt mommy with her. I don't want anything to do with you!" Rini yelled; they were her own words.
"You're the one who decided to start kissing Aunt Rei instead of Mom." Haku calmly spoke.
"What did you do to my daughter?" Mamoru asked, raising his fists in the air, completely ignoring Haku.
"Is there a problem here?" A group of girls asked, annoyed.
"No, no problem at all." Mamoru replied, backing away with Rei.
"Then leave." One of the girls warned.
"Who's he?" Minako asked, looking at Trunks.
"This is my new boss, Trunks Briefs." Usagi answered as Mamoru and Rei left on his motorcycle.
"Nice to meet you." Trunks replied as Gohan and Goten started carrying boxes down.
"Trunks, these are my friends, Ami, Makoto, Minako, Haruka, and Michiru.
Those are Trunks's friends Gohan and Goten; their girlfriends are in the house. One of them is Trunks's sister, Bulla. Sorry I can't remember the other's name." Usagi said softly.
"The other one is Videl and she's dating Gohan; my sister Bulla is dating Goten." Trunks explained.
"You could've waited until Amaya was more awake to come over." Usagi told Trunks, noticing Amaya still asleep.
"It's ok; she just didn't sleep well last night. She's usually up by eight; she slept 'til nine; I try not to let her sleep late unless she's sick or had an awful night—something I'll explain later. And like I said: the sooner, the better.
"Dad!" Kishu yelled, slowly walking down the steps.
"What is it?" Trunks calmly asked, watching Kishu, making sure he didn't fall down the steps.
"Dashi's being cranky." Kishu answered, looking at Trunks.
"What did he do this time?" Trunks asked, sighing a bit.
"He shoved me, running down the hall and locked himself in the bathroom." Kishu answered, annoyed.
Trunks just sighed, starting to walk up the steps to get his son.
"No, let me; it'll be good practice." Usagi insisted, heading up the stairs.
"Ok…" Trunks replied, staring at Usagi; the girls all saw the look.
"Dashi, are you in there?" Usagi asked, standing by the bathroom door.
"Go away!" Dashi yelled from inside the bathroom.
"Dashi, I'm not trying to replace your mother or anything. I just really need this job." Usagi said seriously.
"I never thought you were trying to replace my mom! Besides, I don't even know my mom; she died while I was being born! Kishu's mom cheated on Dad and ran away and landed herself in jail! Amaya's mom just disappeared and never comes around; she didn't even want us to have Amaya! I just don't want a babysitter; I'm too old for one!" Dashi yelled, frustrated.
"Ah, I get it now. What if I give you some leeway—granted I get your dad's permission first?" Usagi asked, standing there, trying to bargain with the distressed boy.
"I'm listening." Dashi calmly replied, listening.
"Well, I can cook you whatever you, your brother, and sister want—as long as Rini and Haku get a say as well. I also love to bake—granted I'm not that great at it. But I have a very best friend who loves to and can bake. Maybe when she's not terribly busy, I can get her to make something special for everyone. And—I can't promise anything because I have to ask your dad, but maybe I can convince him to give you an extra half an hour before you have to go to bed at night." Usagi offered Dashi, not realizing Trunks was listening.
"Ok…" Dashi replied, walking out of the bathroom; he shocked Usagi and Trunks by hugging her.
"I think you need to apologize to your brother, Rini, and Haku." Usagi calmly but strictly told Dashi.
"Ok…" Dashi agreed, walking away.
"I'm sorry." Dashi sincerely apologized to Kishu, Haku, and Rini before helping carry stuff out to the moving truck.
"You did well with him. I'm quite surprised; he can be so stubborn.
Now, I really am glad I picked you for the job. And he and Kishu can both have an extra fifteen minutes. Well, good morning. Are you ready to get up now?" Trunks sincerely told Usagi before talking to Amaya, who finally pulled away to stretch and wake up.
"Ok." Usagi replied with a smile.
"Pancake?" Amaya softly asked, looking at Trunks.
"I wish at lease one of your grandparents could've taken off… Can you wait a little bit? We have to get Ms. Usagi's, Rini's, and Haku's things packed into the moving vehicles and such." Trunks told Amaya.
"Umm… If I may…" Usagi started, speaking up, getting Trunks's attention.
"Yes?" Trunks asked, looking at Usagi, holding Amaya.
"My cousin is having a little girl in a few months and needs some things that I still have. I can set up Rini's old highchair; she's small enough and should fit. I know they're not as good as homemade pancakes, but I have a box or two of mini pancakes—and I've yet to unplug the microwave. I could make her some—if that's ok. I mean, everything else is out of the kitchen." Usagi offered.
"Do you want some mini pancakes?" Trunks asked, looking at Amaya.
"Yeah." Amaya softly replied.
"Come on, you two; we have to get your stuff out before tonight!" Haruka yelled up at the two.
"My landlord said so…" Usagi dully stated as she went to make some mini pancakes for the kids.
"Oh." Trunks sighed, walking inside to feed Amaya, his boys and then help pack things into the vehicles.
An Hour & A Half Later:
"Ready?" Trunks asked, looking at Usagi.
"For what?" Usagi asked, confused, seeing Trunks didn't mean to go to his place.
"We're going to your parents' to get your things. I had one of your friends call to make sure it was ok. Your mom said it was fine." Trunks answered, watching Usagi.
"Oh… Ok. Thanks." Usagi replied, stunned.
They stopped at Usagi's parents' to get her things and then go home to unpack; it should've only taken half an hour—an hour at most.
While there, Usagi and her father, Kenji, made up and are starting a new relationship.
Ikuko just fawned all over Amaya, hugging and taking pictures of her and Rini; she also got pictures of Dashi, Haku, and Kishu. For some reason, she was just over the moon.
Then they insisted on feeding them lunch—which the boys were thrilled about.
So, after three hours, they finally left the Tsukino home and were on their way to Trunks and his kids' home—and Usagi and her twins' new home…
