Ryu wolf: No ones coming back from a fatal injury. Unless...
New Arrivals
The caves were dark, small drops of water fell from the ceiling. A series of tunnels and caverns had been dug out for an unknown reason. Within the largest cavern, several Insecticon warriors were busy excavating another tunnel. A sudden sound echoed, causing all optics to turn.
A heavy fall and rise of metal pedes reached their audio receptors. From above, a truly gigantic Insecticon fell, slamming into the ground. His plating shifted slightly, the deep green and purples stood out amongst the black colouring of the others. A crimson visor glowed dimly as the warrior fell to a single knee. His clawed pincers closed tightly, listening, waiting for his master to emerge from the shadows.
From the tunnel, Galvatronus emerged, those present quickly fell to their knees, bowing before him. The titan scanned the cavern, a small grin forming on his lips. "I see preparations for my citadel have gone underway without interruption." It truly was a sight to behold, not even a day since his arrival and his legions had already begun work on his central base of operations.
His optics soon fell upon the Insecticon warrior before him. "Rise Scorponok." He spoke, watching the warrior stand tall. Scorponok was an inch or two taller then him, and could easily overpower him should he wish to do so. "You have provided where Airachnid failed."
Scorponok grinned, just like the other Insecticons, he wasn't pleased with Airachnid, Afterall, Airachnid forced her will onto them, forcing their loyalty. Galvatronus, he was different, he embodied the very will of their ideals, he did not force his will upon them, he earned their loyalty, their trust and companionship.
"What is your biding, Lord Galvatronus?"
Scorponok was ever observant, constantly observing, seeing if he could improve the hive further, it was this trait that Galvatronus liked, sadly, despite his raw strength and savage might, Scorponok preferred to be behind computer terminals, furthering research for their cause. Thus, where Scorponok was unsuited, another three would succeed. "Bombshock, Kickback, Sharpshot!"
Three Insecticons fell form above, one spotted many legs along his back, another featured two large pincers behind him, each crackling with a small charge of electricity. The final warrior, however, was Hardshell's twin. In quick succession of one another, they bowed. "Lord Galvatronus."
With a smirk, Galvatronus turned his attention towards the baren cavern and tunnels leading out from it. The place needed a lot more work before it could be a place he'd call home. "As of this moment, the hive is lacking, we are small, worked close to extinction. Such numbers will not do."
Raising a clawed servo, he clenched it tight. "Head out and raid facilities, gather resources, Scorponok shall provide the shopping list." His orders were heard, and as such, they would be heeded, for Galvatronus provided the hive with strong leadership and protection from those who would use them for their own gain.
A day had passed since the fateful mission yesterday, the Autobots were still recovering from their loss. Morale was low, Arcee had been, despite her size, one of the best warriors they had. Her absence would leave a noticeable void, one that would one day have to be filled.
Jack had refused to leave the berth, content to mourn Arcee's death by her side, the lifeless shell of her body rested, untouched by the others. Ratchet could only watch from a distance, saddened that he couldn't do anything to save her life.
A ping on the monitors drew his attention away from Arcee's death. Focusing upon the ping, he widened his optics, it was a ping he didn't recognise, but the signature was coming from orbit, General Bryce had been kind enough to allow them access to a satellite, enabling them a better reaction time, and to keep an eye on the skies for any more unwelcome guests from elsewhere.
"Optimus, I'm detecting an Autobot ship approaching fast."
The Prime moved, coming to a stop before the monitor. His optics narrowed as he observed the ping. "Contact the ship." He ordered, waiting for Ratchet to confirm. With a quick glance at Ratchet, the medic nodded. "Autobot vessel, this is Optimus Prime, identify yourself."
"Sir, this is Lieutenant Chromia, I was tracking a Decepticon signal for some time. Then I felt her pain."
The Prime froze, glancing towards their fallen comrade, his Optics narrowed in thought. Jack leaning against Arcee's frame, sleeping for the time being. With a glance at the others, he sighed. "Chromia, clock the signatures of both your ship and yourself and proceed to these coordinates. I shall greet you in person."
"Understood sir. Chromia out."
"Who's Chromia?"
Optimus turned, his gaze focused on Sierra, since her arrival, he had sensed something off about her, there was something strangely familiar about her. He turned his thoughts away before they could linger on his lost love. "Chromia is, Arcee's twin. The two of them shared the same Spark, feeling one another's pain."
The Prime paused, his gaze falling upon Arcee. "Chromia is here because she felt Arcee's Spark extinguish." He finished grimly, turning to leave. "I suggest you give both Chromia and Jack space to mourn her death."
Sierra nodded in understanding, watching as the Prime left, leaving her to wonder just what the future held in store for them all.
Chromia eyed the military base closely, it was strange, seeing another species military that operated in a near identical fashion to their own military forces, it was slightly unnerving. But the sight of Optimus Prime was a sore one, he was different, taller, bulkier.
"Sir." She greeted, coming to a stop, her servos moved to salute Optimus. "I wish to see my sister."
The Prime nodded, turning slightly. "Before I allow you to see her, I must speak with you regarding our presence here on Earth." He began, gesturing for her to follow. "On this world, only a select few know of our existence. I would recommend scanning an Earth vehicle."
Chromia nodded, however, she was curious about a few things. "So, if the world doesn't know about you, does that mean the Decepticons aren't active here?"
Optimus paused in his movement, optics locked onto Chromia. "Megatron and his forces are currently recovering from a major defeat, sadly, it seems that even in defeat, Megatron always has an ace to play."
Chromia narrowed her optics, focused upon the Prime's concerned expression. "Who is it? Who did Megatron send to kill my sis?" She wanted to know, to avenge her sisters death. Whatever Decepticon killed Arcee would pay dearly, and when they did, she would make sure they felt pain.
Optimus sighed. "Galvatronus."
Chromia froze, optics going wide at the name. She was no stranger to Galvatronus, the very Decepticon who had succeed where others failed, taking Kalis, forcing the Autobots to Iacon. She was no stranger to the fact that he was Megatron's twin.
"He survived?"
Chromia wasn't sure how to react, Ultra Magnus lead an unsanctioned assault on Tesarus, leading to the destruction of his citadel, Wheeljack had packed the entire thing full of explosives. How Galvatronus survived such a devastating explosion lead to questions rising, questions that the others were no doubt asking themselves.
It certainly put a halt to her plans for revenge, there was no way she'd be able to fight Galvatronus, the Con was a brutal warrior, a cunning being who, strangely enough, never told a lie, never deceived others for to obtain what he wanted. It was something that threw many who faced him odd, often leading to their ultimate demise.
But even then, Galvatronus was shrouded in mystery, despite her investigations of him during the war, she'd never found much on him. She feared that this mystery made him a threat far greater then Megatron ever was.
"I… take me to see her."
Chromia had been prepared for many things, but upon entering the hangar, seeing her sisters frame, resting upon the berth with no sign of life within her, it brought her to her knees, her own cries of agony and sadness echoed through the hangar, they had survived for so long, that now, now Chromia wasn't sure what to do.
She wasn't sure if she could live in a world without Arcee.
Sharpshot and Kickback look as they did in Fall of Cybertron, because that Kickback in RID was an insult, just as Steeljaw and many other characters in the that show were. Bombshock went unnamed in the show(Thought he was named with the release of his commander class figure and in the credits of the episode), but he did appear, he was the Insecticon leading the operation Optimus investigated in Project Predacon.
Galvatronus, only a select few know him well, or do they? Even Galvatronus can be a mystery to others.
Scorponok is apparently, an Insecticon in the aligned continuity, most likely because of RID, I only learned that during the research for an Insecticon character that'll be appearing later down the line.
For some character appearances, I often draw and post things on my DeviantArt (Galvatream)
The characters that I've posted there that relate to this story so far are (Note, the description I gave them on DeviantArt relates to Decepticon's Rising, not this story.)
Galvatron(For Galvatronus because they are pretty much the same person in this story.)
Cyclonus
Scorponok
