Hotshot: I may do a random Digimon Partner generator and see what Digivolutions the Digimon has so I can decide. Anyways, enjoy this chapter!

Digimon Adventure:
First Encounter
Chapter 2

I sat in front of Kitty Ears next to Kari while she was holding a piece of chocolate bar that we had gotten thanks to our grandmother, who had stopped in to check up on us earlier. Our new friend sniffed at the piece of chocolate for a moment before taking and eating it. Once it had swallowed a piece, it let out a purr that reminded me that of a cat's. I smiled at the little thing as Kari grabbed the remaining bars and began to feed them to it.

"Kari, stop giving it so many candy bars, You'll make it sick." Tai told her. "Hey- those are mine! ...Thanks a lot."

Tai crossed his arms before letting out a slight huff in annoyance at Kari and Kitty Ears. "Well, now that it's here, how do we get rid of it?"

Kari looked over at Tai and shook her head, each movement making her breath into her whistle that she constantly has in her mouth.

"We can't keep it." Tai told her, making Kari nod. "Where is it going to sleep? Oh no, not in my bed!"

Kari whistled again, making Tai huff again. "Fine, than it's going to sleep on the couch. Man, I can't imagine what mom will say when she comes home. I guess we'll just tell mom that it's a throw pillow that we found."

The phone rang in the living room, causing Tai to pause before he head out of the room. I looked over at Kari and that she was wrapping her arms around Kitty Ears the best she could and was leaning her head on it, eyes closed. I watched the two for a long moment before turning and walked to the living room. He had picked up the phone and was staring at it with clear confusion on his face.

"Who was it, Tai?" I asked him as he set the phone back down on its hook.

"I don't know. I think the phone's broken or the phonelines are down." Tai answered before he and I walked to our bedroom and we noticed the electronics were acting up. "Huh, weird. Everything electronic in the house is going nuts- Waaah! Kari!"

My head whipped around and my eyes widened at what I see. Instead of coming back to Kari hugging Kitty Ears, Kari was now hugging a slightly larger, pink- long-eared creature. Kari opened her eyes and sat up, her eyes finding the nearly changed creature, Floppy Ears I guess its name will be, who had opened its red eyes to look at her.

"It changed- it got bigger! What did you do?!" Tai stammered. "Oh no, where are we going to hide him? What's mom going to say if she finds out? This can't get any worse!"

A noise came from Floppy Ears that sounded like a fart. Kari lifted it up, making me scrunch my nose.

"It just got worse." Tai groaned in despair. As Kari put it down and Tai began to clean up the mess, I sat in front of Floppy Ears and, after a moment of staring, began to make faces at it. It watched for a moment before starting to try and mimic the faces I make. I giggled as this went on for a few minutes before Floppy Ears decided that it wanted to do something else and began to jump in place. It only took a few minutes for Kari to suddenly appear and sitting the cat's food bowl down and Floppy Ears quickly rushed over.

"It's not going to eat it." I warned but it looked like it would.

"Boy, he looks pretty hungry." Tai commented and Floppy Ears made a purr like sound before it looked up at us. Then, it jumped, ears wrapping around Kari's head and practically smashed their faces together. "Hey! Kari isn't something you eat!"

Tai managed to to get Floppy Ears off of Kari but He ended up getting the same treatment. He stumbled and took him a few seconds before he finally pulled Floppy Ears off and threw it onto the ground, making it yelp.

"His...breath...stinks..." Tai panted as he helped a dazed Kari up as Floppy Ears began to eat the cat food. "I've had enough. He's outta here!"

Miko made his appearance, staring down Floppy Ears. It noticed the cat and looked over and that's when Miko attacked. We watched as the two went around the room, Floppy Ears trying to get away and Miko following and attacking it. When Miko had it cornered, Tai let Kari go and quickly went over, grabbing Miko. "Hey- Miko- stop! That's enough!"

Kari and I went over to Floppy Ears, making sure it was fine before looking over at Tai and Miko, Kari standing with a foot and leg in front of our pink friend. Miko managed to squirm and turn until he was able to scratch Tai's cheek, making him drop the cat before Miko bolted forward and doing the same to Floppy Ears' forehead. Then, he was dragging his bowl out and Kari closed the door after him and she and I looked over at our brother and Floppy Ears.

"We don't make much of a tag team do it?" Tai mumbled to Floppy Ears who just let out a whine of shame and tried to hide its face behind its ears.

"Kids, I made your favorite, liver sticks!" I heard our mom call from the kitchen. The sun had started to set, casting a orange glow in the room. I was sitting with Kari, in front of Floppy Ears and Tai was by the door.

"Oh great." he grumbled before raising his voice. "In a minute!"

"Do you have a name?" Kari asked Floppy Ears and, to my surprise, it- he- replied in a childish voice.

"Koromon!"

"We're in luck- she burned them." Tai stated from his spot.

"Tai, his name is Koromon!" Kari told him.

"Who's name?"

"I'm sorry about Miko earlier..." I cut in.

"It's okay, but I was really scared!" Koromon told me.

"Koromon, What are you, anyway?"

"I'm a Digimon." answered Koromon. "It's short for Digital Monster, I'm from the Digital World."

"How come you talk to him...but only whistle at me?" Tai pouted as he walked over to us.

"My name is Kari, Kaaariii. This is my twin, Sota, Soootaaaa, and this is my brother, Tai, Taai." Kari introduced us to the Digimon.

"Hi Kari Kari, Sota Sota and Tai Tai!" chirped Koromon.

"Nevermind." sighed Kari.

"He can...talk." Tai mumbled as realization finally hit him and he fell onto his knees, staring at Koromon in disbelief.

"You three are the best friends I've ever had!" Koromon grinned.

"We're the only friends you've had." Kari stated before Koromon jumped up and wrapped his ears around Kari's head and promptly kissed her. Then, he let her go before landing, turning towards me.

"This will be the sign of our friendship!" Koromon all but declared before doing the same to me. Once he was done, he turned towards Tai.

"Thanks for saving me from that scratching furball." Koromon once more, did the same to Tai. After a moment, Koromon let Tai go and landed on the floor once more.

"Warn me before you...kiss me again." Tai told the Digimon quietly. A farting noise came from Koromon and Tai lifted him up.

"Lets have a warning for this too." he stated.

After we had eaten and gotten a bath, we were all in our beds, Koromon between Kari and I. Kari was wearing a pink Koala onesie while I was wearing a green dinosaur onesie that mom had let me pick out myself at the store a year before this night. I was just about to fall asleep, my eyelids drooping down slowly...until Kari let out a loud whistle, making me jolt, eyes flying open and I was wide awake as was Tai.

"I'm up- what?!" Tai snapped, irritated before he climbed down off of the top bunk and looked over at us. My eyes fell down to Koromon and I realized that he was trembling and there was no red or black in his eyes, they were just all white and his face had a tinge of blue AND I moved away off of the bed so Tai could get a better look at him. "Koromon? What's wrong with him? Is he sick? You gave him your liver sticks, didn't you!"

I watched as the blanket began to raise up as Koromon began to grow and change, pink skin became yellowish-orange scales, red eyes turned to green and the top bunk had broken from the sheer size of our friend before the blanket fell from Koromon, revealing his new form. He had arms now with big hands and claws.

One thing's for sure...there's now way we can hide Koromon from our parents now.
