Chapter Two

"So exactly what is it that brought you all the way to the far end of this cosmos?" Sigyn asked, downing her drink. The quicker they got what they wanted the faster they got out of her way.

The human was the one to answer, "We are looking for someone."

The insect followed in one of the most floating voices Sigyn had ever heard and she had grown up with Lorelei. "She is our friend and we want to help her."

"That's nice dear, but if you cannot find her maybe she doesn't want to be helped?" Sigyn stated,

"Sigyn, please can you help us find her?" Thor practically begged. It was almost fun to watch. She looked at the rest and could see exactly how exhausted and tired they were, they must have been looking for quite sometime.

"Fine, but you owe me more than one lifetime can repay Thor."

"Thank you Sigyn." He replied quietly.

Sigyn stood up, her girls had as always managed to keep the bar going while she had been busy talking to the rag tag team. She strode to the middle and lifted her hands from her side. Purple smoke billowed from her finger tips and shot into the air. It didn't take long for the show to have everyone's attention. The smoke filling the roof and small tendrils drifting down, when each little wisp touched a patron they stood up and walked without complaint out of the pub. Sigyn could see Thor's shocked face watching the show. She smiled to herself, she had not been doing nothing for the last 500 years. That was a nice amount of time to train and learn.

When the whole place was empty Sigyn dropped her hands and all the smoke disappeared. She just had to look at the doors for them to lock themselves. Then the only people left were her girls and Thor's team. Turning to her ladies,

"Girls you all have the night off, I will see you all tomorrow."

and without question they left in a very orderly manner. "Now," Sigyn said as she turned to the team. "Did you bring something of hers?"

The human was the one who stepped forward, handing her a scape of fabric. Sigyn brought it up to her face and sniffed, she wasn't a fan of using her gifts like that of a blood hound but it was the easiest way. The smell was putrid and foul and had only one reason for this.

"Do you play me for a fool?" Sigyn screeched at them all throwing the scape into the fire place, "Do you expect me to resurrect the dead?"

The human answered her, "What, no she is not dead!"

Sigyn scowled back, "the person who once held this fabric is dead, there is no debate about that."

The half machine grabbed the human and pulled him back, speaking for the first time. "Yes, that version of her is dead,"

Sigyn sighed and turned ready to push them all out of her haven.

"Wait please, we do have something that the current version of her held dear." the partial machine spoke.

"Then give it to me." Sigyn said impatiently. Throwing a look at Thor who returned it attempting to be sorry. She was then handed a double edged blade that she had most definitely seen before. And without thinking Sigyn said,

"You want me to find the daughter of Thanos?"

Every single one of them had freezed, but Sigyn took no notice, "I had not realised that he was still looking for her?"

"Thanos is dead." Thor stated.

This caused Sigyn to look up, she could see that Thor was telling the truth, then looking down at her arm she shook her head and said to herself. "One would think that I would be able to tell when one of my husbands dies."

Again the entire group freezed and only Thor spoke. "Husband?" he asked.

"Yes" Sigyn laughed, "I was pissed off at your family and found someone who had the same beliefs in death that I did. We were both young and stupid. Another marriage I later regretted entering. But that is History."

"You seem to have had an interesting life.." Thor stated.

"Most definitely." Sigyn replied. "So I take it I am looking for Gamora,"

The half machine answered, "Yes."

Sigyn looked hard at the half Machine, "Nebula?" she asked and stated at the same time.

Nebula nodded in acknowledgement

"I doubt you would remember me, you were very young when Thanos brought you into the family and we argued regularly so I was not around too much, though I do remember that you and Gamora were rather close."

"Yes, Thanos enjoyed using that closeness against us." Nebula said.

Sigyn began to laugh, and had to control herself before she could tell them why.

"Thanos was smart yes, but not smart enough to set siblings against one another, no." Sigyn said, "That was my idea. I had seen a father set two boys against one another in the promise of a crown and that made the both of them the best of themselves so I thought it may work with the two of you."

Sigyn looked at Gamora again, "Though I do think he took it a little too far."

The human man seemed to be getting a little too annoyed now.

"Can you tell us where she is?" he asked,

"Of course," Sigyn said her voice turning cold. I know exactly where that child is, the question is, why do I need to tell you?"

"Please Sigyn," Thor begged again.

Looking at him hard Sigyn played as many scenarios in her mind, "She is on a fairly close planet, only three jumps away, the planet itself has no name and the inhabitants are nothing but animals. We tend to go there only to hunt."

"Thank you" the insect said. And the others followed suit.

"Thank you Sigyn," Thor said last, "are you at least happy here?"

Sigyn laughed, the rest of his group leaving out the now open door. "Thor, I have done something that both you and Loki did not manage to, I have taken complete control over this planet and they all bow to me as their reigning Queen. I am beyond happy."

Thor needed to take yet another look at the Girl he used to call his sister, she had changed more than anyone he had ever met. He then followed his friends out of the building.

Watching their little ship leave the atmosphere she felt the presence of two people behind her, two men pulled themselves from their hiding places in the wall.

"So that was Thor," said one of the men.

"Yes." Sigyn said,

"What do you want us to do?" the other man said.

Sigyn turned and looked at her Sons. Fire blazing in her eyes; "I want you to bring me his head."
