It was an unusually quiet day at the hidden retirement home that housed a former Avenger. Steve Rogers, once called Captain America, was sitting in the garden sketching out the scenery before him on his art pad. He had just finished playing a game of poker with his hallway neighbors and just wanted some peace a quiet for a few hours. Just when he finished the outline of the basket holding the roses, his phone started buzzing. Putting his earbuds in, he hit the answer button and listened to Bucky and Sam confirm who was calling. "This better be good you two because I retired for a reason... what?!" Steve listened intently and shocked as Bucky restated what he had said for his best pal. "Nats back?! How is this possible?... Yeah, okay. Umm, I will be on my way soon, probably expect me in an hour. It's hard to get a ride somewhere last minute and I'm getting too old to run everywhere. Actually, could one of you come and pick me up?" Getting an affirmative from Bucky, Steve started to pack up his things. "I'll be at the front door in a second." Steve then hang up the phone and walked back inside the facility to put his things away and grab his necessities.
Pepper Stark was once asked who demanded more energy, Morgan or Tony. In all honesty, they both took a lot out of her, but she didn't even care. As long as they were there to love her, and as long as she was there to love them, she was content. She missed Tony with all her heart, and just thanked the lucky stars that they had the time together that they had. Day by Day, Morgan was growing to have all of the good traits of her father. She also loved to party, but that wasn't allowed until she left home. On the days that Morgan was at school, Pepper would work on Stark Industries things, and then they would fly around in their suits for fun on the weekends. Smiling at the memory of the recent weekend, Pepper returned her focus onto the document in front of her. This paperwork would need to be finished before Morgan got home. Suddenly, Friday's voice was heard from the ceiling. "Sam Wilson is calling Boss, would you like to go to voicemail or speaker?" Peper looked up from her work and smiled, "Speaker please." There was a moment of silence, and then a voice rang out. "Hey Pepper, this is Sam, Buck's here too, we have some kinda strange news." Pepper put down her laptop and stared at the ceiling. "Hi, Sam, Bucky. Go ahead your on speakerphone." There was a sharp intake on the other end. "You know-how, for the last few years we've been staying at the new compound?" Pepper nodded and then replied that she did. There was a pause, and then Bucky could be heard. "There was a loud crack, and then a red-headed figure appeared in our kitchen. Pepper, it's Nat." Pepper froze for a moment. That was impossible, there was no way Natasha was back. Natasha had died just a few hours before Tony had, her sacrifice had gained them the soul stone. "Pepper, I know it's shocking, but she's really back. And um, well, she's undergoing emergency surgery on our kitchen table right now. Her ribs are cracked and there's something wrong with her back. Doctor Strange and his nurse are taking care of her." Sam said after hearing nothing on the line for a moment. Pepper, still in denial, said: "You boys better not be pranking me because this isn't funny!" After a moment, Bucky's voice could be heard. "It's not a prank Pepper. She is really back, and we already have a bunch of people coming over, but if you can too that'll be great." Pepper saved the document to her drive, and then said: "I'll be there in a second. Friday, end call." She then grabbed her purse and left the room. "Text Happy and let him know to bring Morgan to the compound. Don't give them any other information on the subject." After getting a response from the AI confirming the action had been completed, Pepper activated her suit. A few minutes later, Rescue flew off to the new compound.
Wanda was having a perfectly normal day. Her husband had been rebuilt properly with his memories, and her kids had come back to life, so all was as normal as it could be in a magical family. Currently, her kids were at school, her husband was out monitoring the streets, and her next-door neighbor from Westview was sitting in her living room, sipping and spilling Sokovian Tea on the town's women. "And I said that my former husband Ralph hated to swing, and the children ran away from me like I was some sort of witch!" Ahh yes, her brainwashed prisoner. When freed from her mental prison, her name was Agatha Harkness, but under the spell, everyone called her Agnes. No one knew her last name, and no one needed to. Although she was more than glad to listen to Agnes talk all day, a small part of Wanda was relieved when her phone had gone off. She had felt a strange change in her magic, and wanted someone magical to talk to about it. Leaving Agnes on the couch with her tea, Wanda stepped outside under the blazing sun and answered the call. "Hello, Vision residence, Wanda speaking. Oh sorry Sam, a force of habit I guess. How are you? ... I'm sorry, what happened? ... Stop Stop, are you saying that Nat's back?" Wanda sat down on the steps in shock, putting her tea next to her. "Yeah, I know that It's possible, I mean I have my children back... But this is different on a whole level! This might explain what I felt earlier while talking to Agnes! Okay. Yeah, alright. I'll go get my husband and kids, then I'll be on my way. You guys have room for a mind-controlled prisoner right? Oh, don't worry, she's just a witch, but If I put runes in her room then she won't be able to hurt anyone if she ever broke free of her mental confinement. Alright, I'll see you soon then boys." Hanging up the phone, Wanda grabbed her tea and hurried back inside the house. She has a lot to do in so little time.
Sam and Bucky had just hung up with Wanda when they heard Doctor Strange entering the room. His face was tense, and he was a little worried, but he smiled at them and nodded. "The surgery is done. Her back had to be realigned, but we figured it out. The ribs are back in place, and they will heal with time. She will need to take it slow and use a wheelchair for a while, but after that, she will be fine. It's quite a miracle actually, usually, home surgeries aren't so successful." Shaking his head slightly, Strange gestured to the kitchen. "She will have to be moved to a bedroom soon, but you can see her now." Sam and Bucky exchanged looks and then walked towards the kitchen.
