When Lena first moved in with the Sabrewings, she had been so eager to have a chance for a normal life and a normal family that she had accepted whatever rules Violet told her. There were only two bedrooms in the small home, and Ty and Indy refused to let her sleep on the sofa. Violet didn't like the idea of bunk beds, she gave the statistics for their danger to Lena, and so they shared the double bed in her room. As more time passed and Lena settled into life with the Sabrewings she relaxed enough that some of her habits caused confusion and irritation to Violet.
Violet Is it normal for siblings to argue over every little thing?
Huey Yes. It was worse when we were living on Uncle Donald's houseboat. In the mansion we can have our own space which means we don't annoy each other as much. What happened?
Violet Lena is messy, she leaves her things lying around the room, then when I try to tidy them up she gets upset because I touched her journal. The journal was lying on the floor where anyone could have tripped over it and become injured.
Huey She was probably more worried that you might have read the journal, than about you moving it. Her journal might contain private thoughts that she doesn't want to share with you.
Violet That is ridiculous, I had already analysed her behaviour and concluded everything that she had written about.
Huey Violet, please tell me that you didn't read her journal.
Violet It was in my room, not protected against viewing and as we are sisters we shouldn't have any secrets from each other. Correct?
Huey Oh dear.
Violet Huey?
Huey I think this is something we should discuss in person.
Violet Very well, I shall arrange transport to the mansion.
