It was 4 pm when Buck walked away from the stupid bar. He was supposed to meet up with Charlie and Zach, they owed him some favors after all,(They drank is precious liquor TT) so then he could be on his merrily high way. But no~, the three of 'em did not expect there to be a murder in said bar, and cops to show up a literal 5 seconds later. Someone must've snitched real quick, might've been Deede's kids.
Anyway, they had to book it. Fast and quick. Hopefully the dealer would catch news of the crime and be a no show, but whatever.
"Alright Buck, we gotta go, we good?" Charlie had grabbed Zachary's hand, protectively. (Zach and he are brothers, btw).
"Sure whatever, try again next week?" After a nod of confirmation, the duo left. Sighing, I slow my pace down, and head to La fila, the bar/grilled BBQ joint up the block. Guess we depending on alcohol today.
However, on my way there, I noticed a few things. One, no wallet. The brothers were supposed to take its place tonight. Shiiiitttt.
And two, a man. Now don't get me wrong, everyone loves themselves a good looking person, even I can't refute being bi myself, but I wasn't looking at him in that light. Nah, he was crying, and half sitting in his own vomit.
Now, I'm not an asshole, and I will never turn down someone in need, so I went over to help the guy out a little. You never know, he might be willing to pay.
"Hey, um, you alright?" I crept a bit closer, not minding the smell. You get used to it after a while.
Instead of answering, the man continues vomiting, trying to wave me away.
Author POV
Once the man finished puking up his snack, he finally turned to Buck.
"I'm 'ine. Just a lil' tired, thats all." Buck rolls his eyes. Bullshit, he thought.
"Are you sure? I think you might need help there. Here lemme.." Buck went over to the man, sidestepping the pile of er, goo.. and helped him to his feet.
"You have a friend or, a car, or even an address you can get to?" The man shook his head, causing Buck to sigh again. "What about a wallet? I'm almost 100% sure you have your i.d., couldn't have drank without one. Unless your a regular. Which you can't be because I would have probably saw you. Emphasis on probably."
"'ack pocket." The man grumbled out.
