In this second portion we have a morning after scene with hilarious, embarrassing, and enlightening results. It will also include a little meeting between Gabriel and someone surprising.

Ch. 2 - Make Miraculous Results

Marinette loved feeling warm and cozy especially on cold rainy nights. As her mind started to stir in the morning hours she was especially satisfied by how cozy she was at this moment. She didn't want to get up even though the light of the room around her was begging her to. Instead she cuddled up to the amazing heat source beside her and kept on in her semi-conscious state.

Adrien was now only partly aware of something warm laying against him as the morning light told him it was about time to wake up. "Hmmm…?" He grumbled knowing Nathalie may knock on his door any moment now instinctively. It was part of why he couldn't wait for his apartment renovations to be done. With a yawn he pushed himself up with an elbow but quickly realized his arm was lying under something. It was a second later that he also realized he couldn't really turn either as his leg was caught on something heavy. "Huh?" He blearily looked to his side to find something sizable under his blanket. It only seemed odd and so he pulled the comforter down a bit more. "What is…" He focused his eyes and they snapped open wide. Laying beside him, or right up on him, was Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She was pinning his other arm down as well as straddling one of his legs from what he could feel.

Suddenly, the events of last night hit him. They went to bed together! "But she was…" He looked on his side and there was just a little. He more than likely turned over in his sleep, but on her side? She must've rolled over half the bed! "Uh… Marinette?" He called in a nervous whisper. She made a groan and rubbed her face into his chest. "Come on, Marinette… It's morning." He tried again hoping he wouldn't spook her. He saw her eyes squeeze tighter and that was proof he was getting her. "Come on, Mari." He teased a little more confidently before realizing he just used a nickname.

"Ng… Early… Adrien… Warm, love…" And then her arm snaked around his waist to hold him tighter.

"Damn she's stubborn…" He muttered at her need to keep sleeping. Now that he thought about it, she was usually late getting into school due to over sleeping. At this point trying quietly wasn't getting him anywhere, and if he was loud and shocked her awake she might misunderstand. Instead he moved to pull away from her slowly. Not the easiest thing to do with how she latched onto him, but he knew he couldn't just let things be. His luck would make it… very complicated.

"Stop… Warm…" Marinette complained as he attempted to pull his leg free. She wasn't having any of it and her leg wrapped tighter around his causing an escalation worthy of any rom-com level misunderstanding.

The spike of pleasure that hit him was intense and let him know his common morning condition was present and now accounted for. "Shit…" He gritted out while trying not to give into how nice it felt to have her right up on him. "M-Mari…nette…" He tried again before falling back on his pillow in defeat. If he kept struggling he'd only make things worse. He looked down at her cozily snuggled up to him. She looked so comfortable really…. How could he just ruin that? It was likely to blow up in his face soon, but it was kind of nice to just lay here with her.

It was his own misfortune that that very thought would jinx him as Marinette started to stir on her own. "Hmmm…?"

He froze at feeling her grip loosen especially her leg which still had her basically riding him. "Think cold shower… Lila groping you during a photo shoot…. That time you walked in on your dad making out with Nathalie…." He whispered with every ounce of hope he could muster.

"… Adrien?" She questioned as her eyes adjusted to the morning light.

Adrien looked away from her. "G-good morning… Marinette…"

"Good morning." She responded with a yawn.

It was so calm it had him even more worried there would be hell to pay. "So um…" He glance down at her and instantly regretted it. Her 'just woke up' face was even more adorable than her 'sleeping soundly' face! "J-just… um… I wasn't…" He tried to explain while also trying not to think about his arousal, her reaction, and the fact he couldn't move without either of those blowing up.

"Oh my god!" There it was… She quickly let him go and pushed away from him in the bed. While losing her warmth especially around his waist was disappointing, he was now feeling a lot calmer. "I'm so sorry, Adrien!" She quickly apologized before Adrien could.

"Huh? I uh… You're sorry?" He asked as he sat up while sure to keep the blanket over his lap bunched up.

She glanced away with an obvious blush. "I uh… Well I grabbed onto you so…"

He raised a brow. TV taught him that in these situations the man was the one to get blamed. "Okay but… How do you know I didn't? I mean, not that I did. I definitely didn't." He quickly defended.

Marinette blushed harder as she rolled the long sleeves back so she could see her own hands again. While the PJs fit her around, they still were too long since she was rather short. "I… I'm sorry I didn't say this last night, but I didn't want to make sharing a bed awkward so…" She let out a sigh. "I tend to cling to things when I sleep, and if another person is in the bed… Well… It's always them…"

"So you… Knew this was going to happen?" He asked back wondering why she didn't mention it even if it was awkward. His wake up was even more awkward!

"Well no… I honestly didn't think it would since it only happens when I get cold. Your house was plenty warm last night."

"I guess... It is a little cold?" He turned to look at his alarm clock which also had the temperatures for inside and outside displayed. "Just a couple degrees though… Oh, right." He suddenly remembered feeling a little guilty for forgetting. "My father has the house air conditioning system set to lower the temperature at night, though it's super gradual so I never really noticed before."

"Why would he do that now? It's the middle of fall, and freezing at night." Marinette balked thinking it sounded insane in her mind.

"Well, ever since my dad turned fifty, Nathalie's been trying to keep external stressors down in the house. Apparently it can be dangerous to keep the inside and outside temperatures too drastically different for a man his age. I've heard the shock of going in and out can actually cause a heart attack." Which is something that actually could happen considering how much his father worked. He was pretty sure he was taking something for blood pressure.

"Oh…" She responded looking still a little baffled. "I guess that makes sense?" As she thought about it she recalled how much she hated going downstairs in her own home first thing in the morning too. "Well, anyway, I'm sorry." She apologized again with another blush. "I regret not mentioning it as a possibility."

"I'm sure you would have if you'd known." He countered with an understanding expression. "Now that that is out of the way though… Maybe we should go ahead and get dressed?" He himself was only wearing a t-shirt and underwear, while her PJs continued to malfunction and keep the sleeves up.

"Yeah… Good idea…" She turned to the dress she had draped over the side of the couch. "Though if I'd known I was sleeping over, I would have brought a change of clothes."

"Want to try some of mine? I still have a few things from when I was younger." He admitted with a blush. "I still like them though they don't really fit anymore." Adrien maneuvered himself off the bed carefully to keep his issue concealed and made for the bathroom. "Just give me a few minutes and I'll get them for you."

She let out a sigh still hating her Ladybug instincts to cling to warm things. It was one of the few irritating side effects she got from being connected to the Ladybug miraculous so long. She had very little cold tolerance though that wasn't nearly as bad as the sugar cravings she got on occasion. There were others, but those two were the worst. Knowing even his older clothes will probably still fit weird, she slid off the bed to find her purse, and the mini-alteration kit she kept inside it. "There it is." It was sitting at his desk right where she left it.

As she picked it up she accidently hit the mouse, and the screen flickered awake. "Oh… Wow…." His screen had a collage of Ladybug pictures as the background. She could even see a folder labeled "Ladybug" on his desktop and decided to be nosy and look. "He's got over 5,000 pictures in here!?" He may have more pictures of Ladybug than she did of him back when her collection was at its prime. She scrolled through noting that some were drawings, and a few even included Chat Noir and her together.

How long she looked was hard to determine, but she was instantly pulled away when Adrien came back out. "Sorry I took a bit longer than…. What are you doing at my computer?" He asked and she turned to him looking flustered.

"I um… I was getting my purse and noticed you had Ladybug pictures… quite a few actually…" She admitted. "Sorry for being nosy, I just couldn't help myself?" She gave him a sheepish smile though he didn't have time to admire how cute she looked.

He was busy panicking over the fact she probably though he was a freak. "Those are… I just…" He dashed over to see the folder she was looking through and let out a small sigh of relief she hadn't stumbled across the more adult themed ones. "I'm a fan?" He finally tried though her disbelieving brow showed he failed.

"A fan?" She glanced back at the screen. "5,000 huh?"

"Okay… Maybe more than a fan." He amended at her smirk.

"You have a crush on Ladybug, don't you?" She asked internally cheering at the impossibility of her luck.

He instantly blushed a deep red confirming her theory. "I… Kind of…?" He just hoped she didn't grill him on it or he could slip about his secret identity. To his great confusion she actually blushed back and closed the file.

"Oh… Well, s-she's a hero so… What's not to like, right?" God why was she suddenly so flustered about!? It was already obvious so why was him admitting it so different!?

"Uh… Well she is, but she's also super smart, creative, kind, and beautiful…" He trailed off and covered his face at realizing he'd just gushed about her. "Kill me…"

"It's okay." Marinette giggled as she got up. "I c-completely understand, r-really." In her last second bout of clumsiness she hit his keyboard with her elbow and made the worst possible thing appear for both to see. It was the cover image to his favorite X rated fan-comic, aptly named "Here, Kitty Kitty" Where Ladybug is only dressed in a frilly red and black spotted apron and her hero mask and her expression was a seriously seductive one as her finger called to the reader to turn the page.

He watched as Marinette looked at it in utter horror and a blush fell past the collar of her shirt. "I-I… Shit…" He reached for the power for the screen and denied the device any more chances to ruin his image.

"So… How about those clothes?"

"I uh… Yeah, I'll go get them."

"I uh… I should just come with you." She decided as she followed. At this point she really didn't want to get curious again.

With the awkward air still thick he guided her to a dresser at the back of his closet. "I keep most of my old clothes in here so my father or Nathalie won't stumble on them." Now that he thought about it, bringing them to his apartment would probably be safer despite the smaller closet space. "Just pick whatever…" He finished and swiftly left the large closet for her to change.

Marinette let out a sigh though her blush just wouldn't fade. "To think Adrien has that kind of crush…" It was flattering in all kinds of ways, but if only it wasn't so awkward now! Considering how much time they'd be spending together, though, maybe she could play it to her advantage? Sure, she couldn't start coming onto him as Ladybug, but maybe she could try the apron fantasy? "Nope…" Just the mere thought of it made her brain start to overheat. There was no way she could do that in front of Adrien! "Just... Concentrate on getting dressed and getting past the first day." Fantasies, however crazy, could come later.

She opened the top drawer and found an old pair of jeans easily enough. Though they were snug on her hips, they weren't impossible and she only had to roll up the legs. The next drawer was filled with shirts and she started looking through them for something basic. She soon realized these shirts had a common theme, and it was no wonder he was keeping them hidden away. "Paw-amid Scheme, Purr-itto, Meowy Christmas…. Every shirt he has in here is a cat pun…" It was the kind of collection she'd always imagined Chat Noir to have. The though made her laugh a little before a few mental puzzle pieces lined up. "No way… No… He can't be…" Her denials grew more and more flustered as she thought. Cat puns, an extensive crush on Ladybug… And my god, that bed head!"

Meanwhile, Adrien was having his own existential crisis outside the closet. With his morning already being one unfortunate event after another he decided to get ahead of it this time and make sure Plagg didn't give himself away. "That would be one of the only ways this morning could get worse…" He lamented with a sigh. "That and if Ladybug had seen that comic…" He added with a dry chuckle while checking a few of his drawers and cabinets. Plagg had any number of places he liked to hide when he couldn't be out in the open.

After checking around a dozen drawers he finally found him curled up on his favorite cheese tin. "Hey Plagg… Huh?" That's when he noticed Plagg was curled up with something red. "Are you sleeping with a cheese wheel again?" He deduced from the kwami's habits. It was bad enough parts of his room still smelled like cheese even now that he didn't live here anymore, but he didn't need the smell getting any stronger. Adrien reached into the drawer and grabbed the wheel of cheese only to realize it wasn't a wheel of cheese. What he'd assumed was a read rind was actually the red skin of a very familiar kwami.

"Eep!" The little red creature squeaked as she flailed her arms and realized she was being held.

The blonde looked at the kwami long and hard. "You… You're…"

She looked at him with her big blue eyes and he saw her blush. "Hi?" Without warning he dropped her and she caught herself in a float.

"Oh shit…" He started to groan and put his hands over his face. "You're Ladybug's kwami! That means Ladybug is nearby, and the only one nearby who could possibly be her is…" He turned to the closet just as the door started to open. Out walked a blushing Marinette in a pair of jeans and a cat shirt showing a black cat in a mask and cape standing on a building edge. "… Cat Man… I uh… Always liked that one…" He stated with a forced chuckle at the end.

Marinette blushed though her surprise at seeing Tikki right next to him interrupted her embarrassment. "Um…" She reached up to point to her and Tikki gave a sheepish smile.

"Oh… Um… Yeah." He started too though silence quickly took them.

"So… We should probably talk, huh?" Marinette finally asked about 3 minutes into the silence.

"Y-yeah… Um… Ladybug?"

She nodded. "Yes, Chat Noir?" He raised a brow and nodded as well. She let out a breath and walked over to sit on the couch. "I guess I wasn't jumping to conclusions with those shirts then, and the pictures…" She sighed with a blush. "No, I'm just going to dwell on the 20 or so cat pun shirts you have in there."

"Kill me now…" Adrien groaned realizing Ladybug indeed saw his most treasured and shameful porn comic.

"Kitty." Marinette interrupted before he could crawl away. "Please get dressed so we can talk."

The model complied without looking at her and retreated into the closet himself. He exited a few minutes later in his own jeans, white shirt and black button up. "Milady?" He called and she looked up from her thoughts. "Um… About the pictures. It's just-"

"Save it, kitty, I know." She responded with a sigh and a creeping blush. "If it makes you feel better, I um… Have a collection of pictures from your last underwear campaign." She glanced away at the revelation.

"My last…. Hold on, you mean Adrien's?" He asked while still pointing to himself and she nodded. "So you… Like Adrien? Or me I guess…"

She gave a nod and turned to him with a sheepish blush. "Y-yeah, so you remember that guy I told you I liked all those years ago?"

Adrien started her with a deadpan expression. "So I was cock blocking myself?"

Her blush grew at his words. "Um… I guess?"

He smacked his own forehead loud enough to echo in the room. "This is stupid!"

"You got that right, kid." Plagg agreed as he floated up by his other half. "Now you know the hell you've put us through."

"Plagg!" Tikki scolded with a stern tone.

"Oh, come on! I deserve this!"

She swatted his ear and he flinched back. "Be nice, Plagg. It's not their faults they couldn't tell each other." Plagg just groaned back with his ears pinned down. "Anyway, it is relieving that you two stumbled onto each other. I was beginning to lose hope about the type of connection you two had." Tikki stated with a smile though her stomach growling ruined her attempt to be sensitive. "Oh…" She blushed as rubbed her stomach.

"Oh, right." Marinette went for her purse to get her kwami some food. "Oops… I guess I didn't pack enough cookies."

"Cookies, huh? She can have one of mine. Nathalie brought them to me a few days ago, and they're still good." Adrien walked over to his desk where the macaroons sat.

Tikki floated over to him and he opened the box. "Oh wow, I finally get to try one of your passion fruit macarons, Marinette!" She scooped one up and dug right in.

"What, she never let you have one before?" He didn't think Marinette could deny her kwami. He certainly couldn't deny Plagg his constant need for camembert.

"Oh no, these are made special for you every week… Oops…" She realized what she said and quickly flashed Marinette an apologetic glance.

Adrien furrowed his brow and turned to the mortified designer on his couch. "Wait, what? But Nathalie picks these up for me… from your bakery." He finished seeing how some sense could be made there. "Oh…"

"Nathalie came in a few months ago saying she wanted to bring a snack for you, and it just evolved into me making you a batch every week that she could pick up." She revealed with a nervous hand weaving through her hair.

"So even those?" He asked and she nodded. "Huh…"

"Actually, Adrien," Tikki started seeing the secret was out.

"Tikki!" Marinette called with a blush and stood up to stop her.

"Those macarons are a special recipe." Marientte reached for the kwami but she flew out of reach. "A recipe Marinette won't share with anyone." She continued as Marinette tried to catch her. "Not even her parents."

"Damn it, Tikki!" The designer wailed and slumped over the desk chair in defeat.

"So what you're saying is, I'm the only one who ever gets these passion fruit macaroons?"

Tikki grinned. "Yes, since Marinette made that recipe especially for you."

"Traitor…" Marinette groaned from the chair.

Tikki giggled at her chosen and looked to Adrien who was sporting a red that reached his ears. "I thought it might make things even." She then floated away to join Plagg who had scrounged up a small wheel of cheese.

"Well… I really love the cookies, Marinette. Thank you." He didn't want her feeling too embarrassed about it like he did with his comic. "And look at it this way, we are both pretty crazy about each other." He chuckled at the humor. "Considering our current situation, it's kind of perfect right?"

Marinette remained silent for a moment before turning to look up at him. "All things considered… I suppose." She pushed herself up to stand.

"Honestly, I never really had many girlfriends before since I was always hoping Ladybug would change her mind." He admitted with a deeper blush. "And so the fact that the one person I go to for a fake girlfriend turning out to be Ladybug is actually kind of amazing."

Marinette looked at him curiously. "You're not disappointed are you? That I'm Ladybug?"

"Of course not, Marinette. You're just as kind, talented and beautiful as you ever were as Ladybug. Plus…" He hesitated with a hand on the back of his neck. "I'm actually really happy you like me as Adrien. I was always worried you'd be disappointed when you found out who I was."

Marinette looked at him a moment before breaking down laughing. "Seriously? But you were constantly pushing to reveal ourselves back in school!"

"Well… That was before I really saw how boring my life was. I wasn't really allowed to do much of anything until I moved out, and even then I didn't have a lot of free time. My father told me before that he was surprised I didn't have a girlfriend, and I just wanted to slap him and say 'with all the crap I have to do every day, yeah right!'" Adrien grumbled in irritation.

"Well then, I guess it's good that he's so understanding of our relationship now." Marinette started with an amused tone. "After all, he can't take all of your free time if you have a girlfriend he's already approved of, can he?"

The blonde furrowed his brow before it hit him. "Right, he said his blessing was solely dependent on you coming to dinner."

"Which I did, so I think we're home free." She confirmed with a nod.

"So… What started as my father making an unreasonable demand out of the blue eventually led to us finding each other? That might just be the first time I'm actually happy about him being unreasonable." He revealed with a chuckle.

"Yeah, though I suppose it may have gone very differently if you'd picked someone else to be your fake girlfriend." Marinette noted as she spotted the manila folder on his desk. "Is this that folder of profiles you mentioned before?" She asked while looking through it.

Adrien scowled at the thing. "Yeah, his list of preapproved partners. I only recognized one from the few I looked at. I was too annoyed to look through them all, and honestly, I hated the very idea of getting engaged with someone I barely knew."

"I understand that-" She cut off as she looked over one of the pictures. "Adrien… When did you get this folder?"

"At dinner the same night I came to you, so two days ago."

Marinette looked up at him in confusion. "This woman, Lillian, she's been engaged for almost two weeks. Her engagement was big news since the man she's engaged with was a simple mechanic. I'm kind of surprised your father wouldn't have heard."

Adrien looked over the picture again, and found it only vaguely familiar. "I'm not big on the pop culture news to be honest. I never really liked it since it had stories about me that were often choreographed by my father or gossip."

"But still… Wait, this one is already married." Marinette pulled out another profile. "She's been married since spring. I remember looking at the wedding photos online. She dyed her hair for the wedding in order to match her flowery theme."

"Married? But… Why? Wouldn't my father have known that?"

"I would hope so, or he'd be setting you up for a really awkward time." She pointed to another picture. "This one."

"That's another model, and I'm pretty sure she's single, right?"

"She is but… She's 16, Adrien."

"Her!? Seriously?" Any way he looked at the picture she looked at least 21. "And… My father though I could ask her to marry me? Is he insane? That's an 8 year difference!"

Marinette nodded as she continued through the pictures. "Adrien… The more I look through these, the more I think your father just filled it with pictures of women who were attractive. It doesn't look like he even cared if they were taken or minors, or even interested in men." She pointed to another picture. "She's got a girlfriend."

Adrien stared at the folder in shock. "So… Why? Why would he give me options if they weren't actually options?" It made no sense. It was insane! Was his father toying with him?

Marinette closed the folder and set it aside. "I think… I think he was trying to trick you." She declared with a wary expression. She knew his relationship with his father was tense so the fact his father would be so deceptive didn't help anything.

"That ass!" Adrien raged as the pieces fell and turned to his door. "I can't believe he-"

"Now hold on, Adrien, please." Marinette grabbed his arm to stop him. "You know your father, and going and picking a fight with him won't fix anything. It will only cause problems."

"Like the problems he cases me?" Adrien countered with a frown.

"No, since this situation isn't really a problem… Right?" The model stopped to think on it. "After all, if he hadn't tricked you, then we wouldn't be dating or moving in together."

"So… You still want to move in with me?" He asked looking back at her.

"Of course, kitty, especially now that I know it's you. To tell you the truth, this whole situation turned out for the best."

Adrien didn't really want to admit his father's bullshit was actually a good thing, but in this case, it was. "Fine… I'll leave it alone." He relented with a sigh.

"Good, and we'll just pretend we never noticed okay?"

Adrien raised his arm and pulled her into his. "And stop pretending to be dating, and actually be dating?" He asked back with a smirk as he held her close.

"I-I… yeah… I'd like that." She blushed and leaned her head on his chest.

"Then consider it forgotten." He purred as he leaned down for a kiss. Marinette looked up at him with a bashful expression. She'd always dreamed of kissing Adrien, but… It felt so fast. Adrien chuckled when he saw her. "Come on, purr-incess. Don't you know that agreements between lovers are sealed with kisses."

"It is pretty hard to stay nervous when you drop puns like that, kitty." She mused and stood on her toes to meet his lips. This wasn't just Adrien, but her long time partner as well.

"Now," Adrien started once he'd gotten one kiss to turn to a half dozen. "Why don't we go let your parents know all about our secret relationship so my father doesn't blindside them?"

Marinette gave him a smile but it was weak. "It's probably far too late for that to be honest."

It was about three weeks after that life changing dinner that Marinette moved in with Adrien at his newly renovated apartment. Apparently the changes included converting a poorly used bedroom into an open studio space next to the terrace. While it was unfortunate to lose a room, the apartment still had two including the master. Sabine beamed at her daughter as she left both of them, Tom and the movers to their work in order to make an appointment she had that day. It was a nice day to walk with only a light jacket and her destination wasn't too far. When she arrived at the mansion Nathalie quickly buzzed her in and escorted her to Gabriel's studio. "Ah, Mrs. Cheng. You're a little early."

She nodded and took a seat by his desk. "Yes, well Tom was very enthusiastic and insisted we start early. It's not a problem is it?"

Gabriel shook his head. "No in fact I just finished selecting a wine for the occasion. How do you feel about Pinot Noir?"

"Yes, please." She thanked as he poured her a glass.

"Like mother, like daughter I see." He mused and walked over once he finished his own. "Shall we start with a toast?"

Sabine grinned and raised her glass. "To our silly children who needed a push." She declared.

"And a fruitful relationship for the company." Gabriel added while Sabine rolled her eyes lightly. Mr. Agreste really was too business minded in these things, and it was a wonder he was able to pull dinner off like he did. Then again, if he wasn't, then she might not have been able to set up her daughter with Adrien so easily.

She will admit, it started as a sort of joke one day when Nathalie came into the bakery. It was slow and the woman was tired. Gabriel had been stewing over how he was going to go about choosing a designer to replace him and how he would make sure that Adrien didn't naively allow said designer to take him for all he had. Gabriel was confident Adrien could run it, but he was not as wise when it came to the underhanded tactics of business. Gabriel had already cut off a handful of attempts by his own board to take his company and crushed them under heel. "Adrien was always a sweet boy when I knew him, so I can see the worry." Sabine had acknowledged. "I worry about my own daughter in a similar way. She had so many job offers from fashion houses after she graduated, but insisted she come home to help after Tom took that nasty fall. She doesn't seem to understand that even talent can be overlooked if she misses her chance."

Nathalie nodded. "Yes, Gabriel would hate to be kept waiting, but I've seen him change his mind before when he saw real talent though. When it comes to Adrien, however, his complaints go in circles over how he wished he could design instead of do business. At least then he could be the backbone of the company."

Both ladies laughed before Sabine decided to add in her own proposal. "Or maybe Adrien just needs to marry a designer like my daughter. Then they'd run it together problem solved." And that was how it began. It was only a few days before Nathalie returned with Gabriel via tablet. He asked to see Marinette's work, and since she was out for the day and the bakery was slow, Sabine did so. It seemed harmless to be honest, and Sabine had hoped that her daughter may be given an excellent job opportunity. She didn't imagine Gabriel would comment about her collection of Adrien pictures, or that her mentioning Marinette's decade long crush would spark anything substantial at all. She was happy it did though, and she loved the expression her daughter wore that morning she came home and announced she had a 'secret' boyfriend to introduce.

About the only thing she did regret though, was letting Gabriel Agreste orchestrate the whole plan from there. She was only able to put her two cents in here and there and hope he used them. She never liked lying to her daughter and was unsettled at how easily he could lie to his own son. Then again, her daughter wasn't so easy to fool. She took a sip as she looked at the text her daughter sent her. "If Mr. Agreste contacts you about anything crazy, ask me first." She read with a curious brow raised.

"Something interesting?" He asked noting her expression.

Before she could answer an urgent knock on the door sounded, and Nathalie entered before he gave permission. "Gabriel!"

"Nathalie, I'm in a meeting, and since when do you barge in?" He scolded while obviously surprised.

"Of course, sir, but I thought you'd want to know as soon as possible." Nathalie jogged over to him to show him the message she'd just received. "Adrien just sent me this a second ago." She turned her device to show him.

"Hey, father, I've got the best news ever. You said before you were worried about my future right, well you're a future grandfather! Mari's pregnant." He read out with a very confused expression. "She's what!?" He shouted a second later in honest surprise, but he didn't look very happy. "I know they've only been dating a few weeks, how could this happen already!? I thought I was clear when I provided him adequate protection." The designer looked so out of sorts even Nathalie was amused.

She glanced at Sabine who already put this news and her daughter's message together. Both women knew what was actually going on, but neither moved to correct him. Yes, her daughter wasn't as easy to fool as he thought she was. Gabriel would do well to learn that as soon as possible.

So yes, Sabine was in on it too, but no she didn't really have a lot of say. You could say she gave Gabriel ideas that he used in his own way. Sabine's main role was in making sure Marinette went along with Gabriel's demands regarding the couple, and Marinette already knew her mother well enough to know she would want all of it to happen anyway. And of course, she knows how to deal a trick of her own when its due.=^-^=

In regards to how they made it so Adrien went to Marinette specifically, well that would have been a few well placed hints. The first one was the cookies Nathalie brought. They would make him think of the bakery and so eventually Marinette. There were back up plans, but luckily enough, Plagg was there to help.=^-^=

This story was spawned as I looked over another story I planned to post very soon. The concept involves the engagement thing but in that one... Well it doesn't have a nice response. I was just thinking, what if it did, and this was born. It feels a little crackish at times, but I'm happy its been received pretty well. Thank you for reading, and appreciate comments.=^-^=
