Beep beep beep beep!

Jodi's once peaceful slumber was swiftly interrupted by the annoying alarm beside her bed. Her hand fumbled around to silence the sound, finding the snooze button and wacking it. Silence reigned throughout the room. Sighing in relief, Jodi shifted back into bed. The teen felt a smaller body pressed against her own for a moment, almost forgetting that Sophie had been sleeping with her. Her hand wrapped around her younger sister for a moment before pulling away. She slowly sat up, groaning a bit when her back and shoulders cracked at the movement. Sophie continued to sleep soundly. The teen sighed as she climbed out of bed and rubbed her face. The traditional bags under her eyes had reappeared. Another sleepless night.

Jodi's quiet shuffling footsteps caused Ripley's ears to perk up. He raised his head from his spot beside the bed and leapt to his feet. Trotting beside his owner, the German Shepherd's tail brushed against Jodi's leg. That made her smile. "Hey boy. Good morning." She whispered, managing to pet his head in greeting. Jodi made her way to the kitchen, her hands trailing across the counter and pausing when she found the coffee machine. She turned it on, found a mug drying beside the sink, and placed it underneath the spout. Then, she carefully poured some coffee grinds into the machine. Thankfully there was only a small mess compared to previous times. Finally, once the grounds were in, she pressed the pour button. Jodi listened to the sound of the coffee machine whirring and then sputtering as it poured a fresh cup of coffee. Taking a sip after she poured some creamer in, Jodi sighed in content while leaning back against the counter.

It was quiet most mornings, which she enjoyed. The only sounds that were evident occasionally were the clock above the kitchen table ticking and Ripley's panting. Ripley sat beside Jodi patiently with his tail wagging. "Oh! Sorry, Rip." Jodi said, breaking up her thoughts. She reached behind her where a jar of dog treats sat. She felt the grainy texture of a treat and handed it to him. He gently took it and his tail wagged even faster, full of joy. He crunched on his treat before going to his dog bowl, which still had food in it. Jodi chuckled softly and went back to drinking her coffee. After a few minutes, the clock chimed, making Jodi jump and turn her head to listen. 1...2...3...4...5...6...7! "Son of a-!" Jodi muttered and quickly put her mug down. "I'm going to be late!" The redhead hurried back down the hall, bumping her side against the counter as she left. She groaned in pain. "Ahhh...every time..." Jodi grumbled. She crept into her room, scrambling to find her work uniform and change. Her hands fumbled around to get her uniform. The attire was usually in her middle drawer inside her dresser, with the-Ah ha! With the metal name tag attached to the front! The uniform wasn't much. A pale purple buttoned up long sleeve shirt came with a pair of black slacks.

Once she was dressed, Jodi whistled to Ripley. He sniffed around and found her white cane before carrying it over to her in his mouth. He whined and pawed her leg. "Thanks, boy." Jodi said when she felt him. She knelt down and gently took it from Ripley, scratching behind his ears. He smiled a goofy and proud smile. Jodi stood up with her white cane before gesturing for him to follow her to the front door of the house. Before they left, she made sure Ripley's harness was on. A light breeze hit the teen's face as she stepped outside. The sun was beginning to rise over the trees and Jodi began making her way down the street, Ripley gently pulling her along.

Jodi enjoyed the morning tranquility, since it was so early and no one was up to make any noise. Some times, silence was relaxing to her. She and her furry companion made it to the pizzeria, the German Shepherd leading the teen to the front door. Jodi stopped, found the handle, and pulled open the door. She stepped inside and the smell of pizza immediately hit her nose. Scrunching up her face slightly, she made her way across the floor and over to the front desk. Just as she slid into her seat, a male voice suddenly spoke.

"You're late, Jo."

Jodi frowned and felt her eyes roll in annoyance. "Yes, I know, Dustin." She replied back. "What's your excuse this time?" Dustin, her 26-year-old co-worker with raven black hair and brown eyes, asked as he crossed his arms. The red-head inhaled deeply, silently considering whacking him with her cane. He was a nice guy, just very...naggy and annoying at times. After a moment, she answered.

"Sophie had a nightmare last night. She wanted to sleep with me." Jodi began taking out the meal menus and crayons for children. Dustin raised a brow. "Seriously?" He asked with a hint of the "You let your sibling sleep with you?" tone. "Yes. Now let me get ready before I get the sudden urge to smack you." Jodi muttered as she sat back in her chair, tying her frizzy hair into a ponytail. Her response was met with silence and Dustin leaned away from Jodi with a grimace. She smirked faintly. Ripley made himself comfortable at her feet as Dustin sighed. He left Jodi alone, moving to go check on the animatronics. The girl resumed preparing her workspace for the day as she listened to Dustin power on the animatronics.

She knew what kind of animatronics there were. Her father talked about them frequently. They appeared to be like some original versions of animatronics, but she didn't know about that. All she did know was that they were brightly colored and had special quirks about them. Rockstar Freddy had a thing for coins, always bugging the customers for some. Rockstar Chica wasn't supposed to be around wet floors, only because she would be oblivious and slip instead of going around it. Rockstars Bonnie and Foxy weren't that bad from what Jodi heard. The fox was very into his act and Bonnie wasn't very talkative. The only animatronic Jodi didn't know was Lefty.

Her dad found him out back a few weeks ago and had been trying to keep him in the back room until he could be fixed. Currently, said room was off limits to employees. Why, no one seemed to know. Granted, her father didn't want anyone taking or messing with it but it just seemed strange... The sound of the clock chiming 9am made Jodi sit up straight in her chair. It was time to start the day. Her hand trailing over the desk, the teen's fingers felt the familiar button that opened the front doors. She pressed it before hearing a faint Buzz, followed by doors opening.

There were already people waiting outside, and she could hear footsteps shuffling across the floor. Children and adult voices met her ears and Jodi sucked in a breath. Once the footsteps came to a stop in front of her desk, she clasped her hands together and forced a smile onto her face.

"Hi, welcome to Fazbear's Pizzeria. How can I help you?"
