ATM: The Bonehead and the Brain – Faith Star and the Blue Thunder Kid
As DX regains control of the NXT roster, Seth Rollins and his God girls realise that they might have underestimated just how powerful Sasha's new Gift is.
Chapter Two – Mirror, Mirror
DX Kitchen, the Sandbox
"Wow, your hair looks terrible," Roman said touching Seth's hair.
"Abiyah's been pulling at it, he's really, really strong," Seth said as Roman touched his scalp.
"I wonder where he gets that from?" Roman said proudly. "Can I see him?"
"Of course, come upstairs with me," Seth said.
"Don't you want a pancake Roman?" Hunter asked the Big Dog.
"Um, actually I ate before I got here," Roman replied.
"Did you think you had to eat before you got here? I would have made you something," Hunter protested.
"Seriously Hunter I'm fine, thank you though," Roman said politely and Seth and Roman headed to the North Wing of the Sandbox to see Abiyah while Hunter scowled at Shawn and the God girls.
"Ever since Roman started coming over, I feel like a stranger in my own house. This is becoming a Shield house. First Abiyah turns on me and now Roman refuses my delicious pancakes. Screw Beth Hardy girls, I need you to remind Seth that this is the house that DX built!"
"What does that even mean?" Bianca said furrowing her brow.
"He wants you to call Faith Star and get her to come over and spend time with Abiyah. Hunter wants the DX kid to influence Abiyah, you know, to keep the DX tradition going," Bliss explained and Bianca protested.
"Faith Star only comes to see Abiyah when it's important. This is not important," Bianca replied.
"Just do it!" Hunter said firmly interrupting Bianca but the God girls ignored him and left the kitchen to go figure out how to deal with Bayley without Seth's help.
Hunter turned to Shawn who was quietly munching on a pancake, "Now the God girls have turned against me, we're losing control of our household Shawn. We have got to do something before it's too late!" Hunter insisted.
"Your son is getting married in two weeks, shouldn't you be turning your attention to that instead of getting in Seth and Sasha's business?" Shawn reminded his best friend.
"Those kids need to realise who's in charge around here," Hunter argued. "My son will be just fine Shawn. After all, he's a DX kid," Hunter said proudly and he hugged Shawn while calling his daughter LC and asking her to bring Faith Star over for the rest of the week. He explained the whole situation with Bayley and Beth Hardy to her. As far as the Game was concerned, Becky, Bianca and Bliss needed to focus on their upcoming matches instead of running around doing stuff for Seth and Sasha Rollins. Faith Star could handle the Bayley situation far better than they could, after all, she was a DX kid and she was on assignment to Abiyah Rollins now.
The Hardys, Cameron, NC
Beth Hardy stood in front of her bedroom mirror with her mother Stephanie McMahon Hardy behind her like a proud shadow. Stephanie smiled with approval at her daughter's brand-new look; Stephanie had taken her daughter to a high-end salon in New York City and Beth's hair was now dead straight, parted down the middle with ends so sharp they could cut glass. Beth also had gotten a full make-over; her pure innocent complexion was now a powdered up, well-defined mask with heavy eyes, black mascara and magenta lipstick. She was so strikingly different from the girl who followed Becky Lynch around like a lost puppy, in other words, she was finally a McMahon.
"You're perfect my darling," Stephanie said proudly and she kissed her daughter on the head. "We better get going, your father's taking us out for the day and then you have to join Bayley for a photo shoot in Los Angeles,"
Elizabeth nodded at her mother with a smile before Stephanie left, then she turned back to her reflection in the mirror, twisting her string of pearls back and forth, her black power suit was squeezing her in like viper skin. Her Chanel heels were so high she felt like she was walking on spikes.
"This is not me," she said to herself and she shakily walked to her drawer and pulled out her cut off jean shorts and fish net tights. She packed them into her new leather tote bag and took a deep breath. She caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror and turned back looking out of her bedroom window with a sigh, "Who am I?" she said to herself before leaving to join her parents for a family day out.
The Rock's mansion, Los Angeles, CA
"Wow," Bayley said as the Rock welcomed Beth Hardy into his Los Angeles home. "You're mother really did a number on you,"
Beth Hardy walked cautiously towards the Black Hearted One, as always, Bayley was in peak physical condition and she was a lot more attractive than Beth ever remembered her being before. Her clothes, as always, were incredibly tight, today she was wearing an indigo leather jumpsuit that stuck to her body like a magnet. Her hair was still short but her legs seemed longer, most likely because she was always wearing expense designer heel shoes.
"You ready for our photo shoot?" Bayley asked Beth.
"I just need to use the bathroom real quick," Beth Hardy said.
"It's the third door on your left," Rocky told Beth and the Hardy girl walked shakily up the steps with her leather tote in hand. Rocky walked up to Bayley, "She looks just like her mother," he said to his fiancé. "You can barely tell it's Beth Hardy,"
"That's the point babe," Rocky said stroking her fiancé on the cheek, "This week, we are going to introduce the new Beth Hardy to the world,"
When Beth Hardy came back down the stairs, she was no longer wearing her power suit pants, she was now wearing her cut off jean shorts and fishnet tights with her blazer and pearls. Basically, she was half McMahon and half the Man.
"How rebellious," Rocky said with a smile and Bayley frowned at the change in attire.
"Clearly, there's still a little of the Man left in you Beth. I don't think your Mom's going to be impressed if she sees you looking half Man, half McMahon. When are you going to realise, you can't be in both worlds. Becky Lynch is an enemy to your family, dressing like her is not going to send your mother the right message," Bayley said but Beth Hardy wasn't interested in sending any messages to her mother; she was trying to send a message to Becky Lynch.
"My photo is going to be blasted all over the world this week and this is the look I want people to see me with," Beth Hardy said defiantly.
Bayley sighed, "Well, the look's not bad, maybe we can tweak it a little. Instead of you looking like a partial Becky Lynch rip-off, maybe you can wear purple or green cut offs, you know, really bring out the Hardy Girl side of you instead of the Becky Lynch side of you,"
"No, I'm not changing again. This is the look I want," Beth Hardy said defiantly and Bayley shook her head.
"I can see we're going to be having a lot of after school conversations Elizabeth Hardy. You're gonna learn to love your mother one day," Bayley assured Beth Hardy.
"This isn't about my mother Bayley, this is about me; I don't want to change who I am," Beth Hardy replied.
"How can you change who you are Beth? You don't know who you are," Bayley replied and she touched Beth on the shoulder gently, "but don't worry, a few weeks with me and you'll fall in love with yourself," Bayley reassured her. "I'll fill you with so much confidence, you'll have the fellas eating out of the palm of your hand,"
"Fellas?" Beth Hardy replied cautiously, "but I don't want to date anyone,"
"Let's talk some more about that when we're at the Black Heart Studios," Bayley replied putting her arm around Beth and they walked with the Rock to the People's Limousine.
Rock leaned over to Bayley as she got into the limo, "I sure hope you and Steph know what you're doing," he said to his future wife.
"We're in this together now Rocky, we made a deal with Stephanie and we're sticking to it. This is the only way we're going to get those DX jewels back into the hands of the McMahon family," Bayley reminded the Rock who was clearly uncomfortable with the plan.
"But it's Beth Hardy, she's just a kid. It's too soon to bring her into your dark-ass world," Rocky said.
"Don't go soft on me now Rocky, you're starting to sound like Rollins," Bayley said and she got into the limo while Rocky paused in thought.
"At least one of us does," he replied to himself before getting into the limo and heading off to the Black Heart Studios for a photo shoot.
NXT, Orlando, FL
"Whoa," Johnny Gargano said checking his phone while the NXT roster got ready for the first NXT taping back in Florida for a couple of weeks.
Candice Larae came up to her husband to see what had gained his interest.
"What is it?" she asked him looking at his cell-phone and she saw a photo of two people in an intimate embrace. "Who's Seth Rollins' kissing?"
"That's not Seth Rollins, it's Bayley dressed up like Seth Rollins," Johnny Gargano said.
"And the girl is?" Candice asked Johnny.
"It's Stephanie McMahon's daughter Elizabeth," Johnny replied and Candice pulled the phone away from him and pulled it up close to her face.
"You are kidding me?!" she said in disbelief, "This is lil' Beth Hardy?!"
"Yeah, she's like a younger, hotter version of her mother," Johnny said.
"Yeah but Steph would never wear cut off jean shorts and fish net tights, wow I can't believe this," Candice Larae said and she went to discuss the photo with the other women in the NXT locker room.
Becky Lynch shook her head as the NXT women gathered around their cell-phones dissecting the photo of Bayley and Beth Hardy that had been released to get everyone talking about the Black Heart Diaries. Apparently, the deal that Beth Hardy had made to appease her mother was in full effect and the former Women's Champion resented the Hell out of it. The girl in that photo was not Beth Hardy but "Beth Hardy" was now the number one trend on twitter.
"Damn it," Becky Lynch said. "I have got to shut this down,"
"Shut what down?" Kenny Omega said coming over to Becky Lynch an the women stared at him as he came into their locker room.
"Kenny get out of here, this is the women's locker room," Raquel Gonzalez said.
"How can this be the women's locker room if the Man's in it?" Kenny said and he turned to Becky Lynch. "I need to talk to you,"
"What do you want Omega?" Becky Lynch said with disinterest.
"It's about Finn Balor, I think you should call him," Kenny Omega said.
"And why would I do that?" Becky Lynch said nonchalantly.
"Well, the truth is, he misses you Becky and I think he wants to get back together with you," Kenny said.
"No, that's not going to happen. I've got more important things on my mind that dealing with my treacherous ex-boyfriend," Becky Lynch said and she strong-armed Kenny Omega to the door. "Now get out, we've got a show to put on later tonight and you're distracting everyone,"
"Becky when are you going to learn you can't solve the world's problems on your own, you need Finn's help," Kenny Omega said.
"I'm not on my own, later Omega," Becky Lynch said and she called Bianca and Bliss who were in New York City with Charlotte Flair and the Street Profits.
"We were expecting your call," Bianca said answering her cell-phone.
"Has Seth seen the photo yet?" Becky asked Bianca.
"No, he's busy with baby stuff. I don't know how long we can keep him off of social media though," Bianca replied.
"Long enough for us to do some serious damage control," Becky said.
"What have you got in mind?" Bianca asked her.
"I think we need to do a little photo shoot of our own," Becky said. "Get Bliss and tell her to sit tight. I'll see you in New York first thing in the morning, we're going to take the Black Heart by surprise,"
"So you wanna play fire with fire huh?" Bianca said knowing what Becky had come up with.
"It's the only way to deal with Bayley, I just hope Seth won't mind," Becky replied.
"Mind? He's gonna love it," Bianca said and she hung up and told Alexa Bliss Becky's idea to get one over on Bayley and Stephanie.
"What a cool idea," Alexa Bliss said. "Seth'll love it,"
Bianca nodded but it still concerned her that they appeared to be retaliating; it wasn't the fact that Seth loved it as much as it was the fact that the Black Hearted Bayley was going to hate it and that was not a good thing at all.
