Author Info-Hello again reader, This is the start of Hikari's story. Now to
make sure that this actually feels like a reboot I'm gonna change up some of
the dialogue and scenes from the game. That way it doesn't feel like you are
reading the same stuff that you have played or watched from UDG with
Komaru. Also im gonna do some recommendations of music or custom bgm
alerts for some scenes, It's just to make this more fun to , Let's get this
ball rolling, I hope you enjoy it :)
The sound of a door being busted open can be heard. A lot of footsteps also can be heard as a group of men with white and black bear-like masks rushed into a living room. And in that living room was a family of three, just trying to live their lives normally while dealing with the world going to hell from the " Tragedy"
" OH MY GOD." screamed a woman in pure horror, The women quickly hugged a little girl next to her tightly as they both stared at the strange men in fright and confusion .
" H-HEY ! WHO ARE YOU GUYS? WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN OUR HOUSE?" screamed a man angrily as he stared at the strange men. He quickly stood protectively in front of his wife and daughter.
One of the masked men pointed at the little girl instead of answering the angry man's question." That's the brat, Grab her and let's go!" The other men start making their way towards the family.
" WHAT? NO!,JUST PLEASE GET OUT AND LEAVE US ALONE!" screamed the woman as she held her daughter even tighter, trying to back away both of them toward the kitchen where the backdoor was. The daughter's father quickly looked around for a weapon to help defend his family and saw a lamp near took the lamp and charged forward towards the men.
" YOU'RE NOT TAKING MY DAUGHTER ANYWHERE YOU BASTARDS!" yelled the man, swinging the lamp at one of the masked the masked man takes hold of the lamp before it can hit his face. Then another mask man lunges forward and punches the girl's father hard in the face,causing him to fall over onto the floor.
" DAD!" screamed the little girl in fright
"DARLING! screamed the girl's mother in fright as well, the fallen man tried to get up but the masked man who punched him had walked over and kicked him hard in the stomach causing him to gasp in pain.
" Huh? what's wrong Mr. Hero?" said the masked man, laughing at the fallen man on the floor in pain." I thought you were gonna protect your family, How can you do that while lying down on the floor like a little bitch?"he says again while beginning to give him kick after kick over his body. Some masked men walked over to join in.
" STOP IT, DONT HURT MY DAD!" yelled the little girl, angry tears rolling down her face as she tried to get out of her mother's hold to help her dad but her mother wouldn't let go.
" Honey no!, wait! you- the mother began saying but stopped when the masked men began making their way toward again. She began backing her and her daughter toward the kitchen again ."NO! STAY BACK!". as the girl's father was getting beaten he could see the other men going toward his wife and daughter.
" GIRLS! …. RUN…." yelled the girl's father while he struggled to get the words out from the beating he was getting.
"DAD NO!" screamed the little girl, not wanting to leave her father
" WHAT? DARLING BUT"- the wife tried to say but her husband cuts her off.
"GO!...PLEASE." he yells again as he starts to lose consciousness
" You wrenches ain't going anywhere!" said one of the masked men as they got closer. The girl's mother didn't want to leave her husband but knows that she must to keep their daughter safe. She quickly grabs a large bowl of fruit and throws it at the men and runs out the backdoor with her daughter.
" Mom wait!, what about dad?" the little girl asked in extreme concern as they run toward the front of the house.
" I don't want to leave your father honey but we have to get you- the way was cut off when they ran into two masked men standing in their path.
" Why hello there ladies."one of them says as the other one laughs. The woman and the girl look in fear at them, they hear footsteps behind them and turn to look to see the other masked men.
" This cat and mouse game is over, get the girl now!" one of the men ordered, The men pulled the woman and the girl apart from each other. Both the woman and girl scream in protest,some held the woman down as a big masked man has the girl over his shoulder and takes her to the front of the house towards a black van with other men followed.
" NO! MOM HELP!" screamed the girl reach out for her mother
" PLEASE NO!, DON'T TAKE MY DAUGHTER!" the crying woman begged as she tried to get out of the men's hold on her. One of the men grabs her by the throat and slams her against the wall next to them then punches her in the face, knocking her out cold.
The little girl sees this and is filled with anger"LET ME GO, I SAID LET ME GO!" the little girl yelled as she began hitting the back of the man's head.
" HEY!,CUT THE SHIT YOU LITTLE BITCH!" The big masked man yelled as he took her to the back of the black van, the other men opened the doors up and the man throws her inside of the van. She tries to get up but is held down by the big masked man, "It's gonna be a long ride kid so why don't you take a nap!" the big man says as he punches the girl in her face.
The little girl's vision begins to get blurry, as she starts to lose consciousness the last thing that she hears is " Sweet dreams kiddo, hehe", and everything turns black.
A little girl with pink eyes jolts up in her bed as the sound of a loud ringing going off, she is breathing hard as if she just ran a looks over to her left at the thing that had woken her up, she reaches over to her night stand and turns the annoying alarm clock off. She signs and puts a hand to her forehead.
" Another nightmare, and it was my favorite one too," she said sarcastically.
The girl pulls the cover off of her body and swings her legs over the side of the bed and her bare feet touch the rug covered floor. She has long black hair with a little ahoge on top, she is wearing a yellow shirt with red sunflowers and pink lightly slaps the cheeks on her face to help wake her up little." Ok, time to get up", she said tiredly as she gets up to go to the bathroom. After using the bathroom and washing her face she makes her way into the living room, she usually gets ready for the day before breakfast but today she decide to do that after walks over to look outside the window the fancy apartment she was in as the morning sunlight shines through the this little girl's name is Hikari Naegi, the 10 year old little sister of Makoto Naegi, she used to be a normal little girl living a normal life with her family but for over a year and a half she has been nothing but baby bird trapped in it's cage,because she is actually a prisoner in this apartment.

Hikari signs as she turns around and walks away from the window, She stops walking and looks at the locked front door in the hallway. It had a slot in the middle of the door where the kidnappers would slip her three meals a day. Hikari begins to fill the feelings of hate for her kidnappers. She marches back to her room to grab some socks and her only pair of sneakers,she puts them on her feet and heads back to the locked she does some quick stretches she back up a little to prepare to run to the door.
" Ok!,let's do this!"Hikari saids as she charges at the door and begins to bang, kick and shout at the door.

"HEY!, LET ME OUTTA HERE YOU JERKWADS! LET ME OUT!".
Normally she does this whole daily thing of " bang on the door, kicking and screaming till getting tired" routine after she has eaten something but she figured getting an early start would not hurt. She continues this for about 45 minutes until she finally gives up. She signs, " I'll try again after breakfast."
Hikari goes back into her room,she takes her sneakers back off and walks over to her tv stand that has a medium sized flat screen tv on top with a PS2 console on the side,she opens one of the tv stand drawers to pick out a game to play. Surprisingly who ever owned this apartment they have a lifetime supply of movies and video games, so while she was trapped here at least she won't go crazy with boredom. She picks out a game called " Sly Cooper 2 Band of Thieves" and puts it in the PS2 console.
" I guess i will play this until breakfast gets here," Hikari says as she grabs a bean bag chair to sit on, pauses and looks at the pikachu plush doll over on one of the dressers. She walks over to it and grabs it, " Come on Pikachu, Let's go play Sly Cooper."
She plays the game for about 30 minutes when she hears the sound of a doorbell ringing. She pauses the game, stands up and walks out of the room with the pokemon plush in her arms into the living room, " WOW!,NICE OF YOU TO FINALLY REMEMBER YOU HAVE A PRISONER TO FEED ASSHOLES!" Hikari yelled in irritation as she puts the plush doll on the dining table and walked over to the hallway of where the locked door was. She stops in front of the door with her hands on her hips and taps her foot, waiting for her breakfast to slip through the metal slot. The slot opens with a ding and outcomes her a tray was a plate of eggs, bacon, and sausage with a glass cup of milk on the side. Hikari looks at the food with a small pout on her face.
" Really?"this is like the third time in row they gave me westren style food for breakfast, I wanted japanese style" she complains but picks up the tray and takes it to the dining room sits down and puts her hands to together," Thank you for the food" she says and starts to eat. While she hates her living situation, she is at least a little thankful that they are not letting her starved to death

Hikari eats her food in silence, she glances at the pikachu doll and then at the chair next to it,then she looks at the other chairs at the feeling of loneliness starts to get to her again and tears start to fill her eyes, she begins to remember her family and wishes she could be with them again.
Her parents, her big brother Makoto, her grandma Setsuna, and her big cousin Komaru, she has not seen them all for over a year and a remembers the nightmare she had last night about day she was happened a little bit after a certain incident, which ended up changing the world. That incident being "The Tragedy," which people called it on the news. It started as a violent student movement at her brother's school Hope's Peak Academy, a terrible set of events began to happen that led to one after school tried to cover up the incident, trying to act as if it never happened, but that only made things worse in the long run. The movement got so bad and violent, it spread all over the Earth as if it was some despair inducing disease somehow, leading to the world becoming extremely hostile, hard to survive, and full of despair.
But it wasn't bad in the area where her family lived. Until one horrible day, Hikari and the dance group she was a part of, were supposed to perform at some music hall downtown. There was a bus that would pick them up from the dance studio to the music hall, Hikari's parents were diving her to the studio, they were only a 5 minutes away from the studio when a huge explosion erupts at the direction of the studio,Hikari's father quickly gets them to a safe distance away from the explosion.
They find out hours later that someone had bombed the dance studio and Hikari's dance teacher and team mates were caught in the was a painful memory, and then later on the area her family lived in started to slowly but surely become just all the other places being hit with didn't help that a good friend of hers named Kohaku disappear from school which brought even more sadness to her at the despite all of that she always had her family there to help keep her sprint strong,but then the day of her kidnapping comes and takes some of her hope away.
Hikari and parents were just resting at home after they had finished getting supplies for the house the other day due to what was happening .They also got a phone call from grandma Setsuna saying that she and cousin Komaru were gonna arrive there the next day so that way they can all be with each other. She was happy about that but she was still worried about Makoto, they have not heard from him since the school incident,her parents were talking about going to go get him, but then their whole lives changed when the men with black and whilte bear masks came into their home. It still makes her blood boil remembering those men hurting her parents, She just hopes that they and the rest of her family are alive and hopefully are trying their best to find her. But even if she has hopeful thoughts, she will admit that there are some days when she has bad thoughts about her family being dead or that she will be trapped in this place forever.
But after a little while she would remind herself of what her father has always told her and her brother of what to do when things get bad , "Try your best keep moving forward with hope in your heart and believe that things can get better."
She puts the toast back on to the plate and reaches for a nakin to try her tears after remembering his words. She also remembers her grandma's words as well, "Don't let other people keep you down Kari, keep fighting to the very end." Hikari puts the nakin back on the table.
" Come on Kari, don't let these kidnappers get to you, just keep having hope in your heart and things will get better."she says to herself, she goes back to eating her breakfast with a better mood. She finishes her meal and gets up to bring the tray back over to the locked door and places the tray on a metal hatch where it will slip back in to replace the empty tray with a new one when it's time for lunch. She walks back into the living room and was about to make her way to her room to find some clothes to wear for the day after her shower but stops when she hears the sounds of banging coming from the front door.
" Huh?" …. "What the?" Hikari says in shock and slowly walks back over to the small hallway of the front door,
The banging could be heard again, then next comes the sounds of the door knob being turned repeated. It looks as if someone was trying to open the locked door.
" N-No way,... Could it be that? Someone is here to let me out ?" Said Hikari, after she quickly gets over her shock she runs over to the door and starts banging on it.
"HEY!, WHOEVER YOU ARE PLEASE HELP ME!, IM TRAP IN HERE" yelled Hikari, she was met with silence after she stopped for a sec, but went right back to yelling and banging on the door " PLEASE SAVE ME!", I'M BEGGING YOU, OPEN DOOR!" she screamed as she started crying. She doesn't want to live in this place anymore, she wants to go home and be with her family.
But she was not prepared for what happened next, Sharp metal claws pierced through the door, to the side of Hikari's face, barely missing her, her face pales as she looks at the sharp claws next to her. She falls to the ground, and quickly backs away from the door .
"W-What was t-that" says Hikari in fear while looking at the door.
Soon the metal claws twisted, ripping the door apart until it came off completely. Hikari''s face soon becomes even more horrified at who came in. It was a giant black and white bear, it stared back at her with a creepy smile, as it held its sharp claws out eagerly as it started to come closer to her, causing Hikari let out a bloodcurdling scream
and that is the part 1 of the Prolog, next chapter Kari will be meeting Togami and seeing the city go to hell from the Monokuma Robots, Once again thank you for having an interest in my alternate universe fanfic for Ultra Despair Girls, I hope I will be able to keep your interest in this till the end.
