The next day Romin, Akiza, and Sayer arrived as Romin looked around in awe with her Duel Guitar in her Guitar Case before asking Sayer, "So what exactly is this Fortune Cup about?"
"It's a tournament where the best duelists in New Domino City compete and the winner gets an opportunity to duel the champion Jack Atlas himself." Sayer answered calmly.
"The Duel King himself?" Romin asked shocked before admitting, "That sounds more like Roa, or Luke's thing for the Duel King title."
Sayer put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, there's no harm in losing so just do your best."
"I'm planning on that." Romin nodded up to him with a smile before telling Akiza, "Let's do our best out there Akiza."
"Of course." Akiza nodded calmly.
"Follow me." a guard told the two girls as they nodded bidding farewell to Sayer for now following him where the contestants will be presented to the crowd.
Akiza followed him calmly as Romin looked around.
They reached a room where 6 other people are at. A large tanned man wearing bronze armor, a knight like figure having on gold armor, a gray suited man that has glasses, a polite man that has a robe on, a black haired man wearing a blue suit while having a yellow mark on his face, and Romin felt her heart skip a beat when she notices a twin green haired pigtailed girl wearing a white jacket looking excited. She noticed Akiza suddenly glare at the man with the yellow mark on his face.
"What's the matter?" Romin asked Akiza noticing that.
She just frowned. "It's nothing."
Romin didn't looked convinced but nodded as they waited to be presented on a platform. They heard a voice talking to people before one by one the platform raised them up. Soon it was Romin's turn as she was raised bracing against the light before a voice announced, "And finally we have a new member to New Domino City eager to show us her skills with an all new way to dueling, Romin Kirishima!"
Romin adjust her eyes enough to see what's happening. She was standing on a dueling field along with the seven other competitors. She looked around in awe as the crowd sheered though sometimes booed at the man with the mark. But soon the tall man snatched the microphone from the startled MC, "All of you need to stop, yes Yusei has a criminal marker. I can't personally say I know who he is or why he was arrested. That doesn't matter, here on this field the only thing that I judge someone on is their actions during a duel. No more and no less, he has just as much right to be here as any of us."
With that he handed a startled MC his microphone.
'Criminal Mark...?' Romin blinked in confusion hearing that.
"The mark on his face." Akiza answered noticing her confusion. "It tells the citizens of the city that he committed a crime and it's used for security to track him."
Romin nodded understanding that before the MC called, "Now why don't we see what the matches will be for the first round." A huge amount of cheering from the crowd answered. "Alright! Take a look on the big screen for our first round match ups!"
The pictures on the screen spin around as they watched before they stopped revealing which, which.
"And the first match will be Romin vs Luna!"
Romin looked around for Luna noticing her before nodding to her with a smile, "Good luck."
"Thanks, same to you." Luna smiled.
"And our next match will be Akiza vs Professor Frank!" the MC continued.
Akiza turned to him calmly. Frank only smiled a kind nod.
"And our next match is Randsborg vs Grieger!" the MC continued.
The knight figure Randsborg told Grieger, "I'd admire your speech a while ago but that has nothing to do with our match."
"Agreed, we'll have to see what happens on the dueling field." Grieger nodded.
"And last but no moments least the final match is Yusei vs Commander Koda!" the MC declared on the last match.
"Good luck, may the best duelist win." Yusei mentioned.
Koda only glared at him turning away.
"And now duelists let us see what these duelists can do! Romin, Luna shake hands, and let's have a clean match!" the MC declared as everyone but the two girls exited the field allowing the two girls to shake hands.
Luna walked over with a smile offering her hand. Romin smiled shaking her hand.
"Do you want to go first?" Luna asked.
"No you can take the first turn." Romin smiled as they readied on the field, "Be ready to be amazed Luna for I will show you the potential of RoaRomin's lead guitarist!"
Luna's eyes widened slightly hearing that. "You're in a band?"
"Yup, allow me to show you." Taking out her Duel Guitar she called, "Duel Guitar, set!" Her Duel Disk exited it's Standby Phase forming into her Duel Guitar as she grinned readying doing a Guitar Solo finishing with a high note amazing the audience.
Luna's eyes widened before blushing slightly. "That... whoa."
"Ya like?" Romin grinned as it drew her hand where she placed it where she can see the cards.
"Yeah... that's really cool." Luna nodded blushing more as she activated her own Duel Disk and drew her cards.
"Alright let's get started." Romin grinned as they begun.

Celfon's chest glowed beeping between numbers before stopping at 4. Luna nodded looking at the cards before smiling. "Awesome, I got Morphtronic Datatron, I play him in attack mode."

"Okay I draw!" Romin called looking see she drawn her ace, Prima Guitarna, 'She, and everyone else doesn't know Rush Dueling yet... I better test the waters first before making big moves.' With that in mind she placed Prima Guitarna in her hand, and then grabbed a card, "I activate the Continuous Spell, Teleport!"

Romin explained with a grin having closed eyes before opening them explaining, "However during each of my Standby Phases, I have to give up 500 points to keep Mind Protector on the field."
"Wait, but I don't use Psychic Type monsters." Luna realized.
"Which means the lockdown goes to you. And I won't be paying the points you will." Romin grinned much to Luna's confusion before Romin called, "I then activate Creature Swap!"

"What a interesting strategy duel fans! Since monsters that aren't Psychics with over 2000 or lower points can't attack Luna's monsters can't land much of a dent on Romin, and by giving her Mind Protector, it is Luna who will have to give up points for it's maintenance cost!" the MC declared seeing that.
Luna grinned. "Great move."
"Next I place a monster down." Romin said setting a monster, "Then history will repeat itself cause I'll use Datatron to sacrifice it, and deal you 600 points."
Her face-down vanished as Datatron fired a stream of fire at Luna. Luna braced herself as the flames hit her.

"And then I'll switch Datatron to Defense Mode." Romin said adjusting the position which Datatron turned into a lighter.

Datatron fired another stream of fire to Luna. Luna braced herself again.

"What the, when did that get in your graveyard?" Luna asked in shock.
Romin only grinned pocketing the card, "You remember when I used Datatron's attack mode effect? I had to sacrifice a monster, and I'll give a Quarter on what monster that card is."
Luna frowned. "Well, I'll end my turn then. Though Gadget Hauler's attack points stay at 2900."
Radion shattered as she said that.

"My turn!" Romin called drawing looking seeing her hand only contains Rush Duel cards, 'Okay I tested the waters, and she certainly got through that without trouble... With my current hand it's unavoidable now.' "Okay, I activate Pot of Greed!"
The spell appeared but everyone immediately realizes... That's not what Pot of Greed should look like at all.

At that Prima Guitarna rose up making solos with her Guitar with a grin.

"I'll tell ya after." Romin gestured her arm to Prima Guitarna, "Prima Guitarna give everyone a finale they won't forget!" Prima Guitarna rose up readying her solo before Romin declared, "Concert Finale!" She fired the music notes down at Gadget Hauler.
Gadget Hauler exploded sending Luna flying back.

Romin walked over after placing her Duel Guitar in her Guitar Case walking, and offering Luna a hand. Luna took it before sighing. "I thought I had you with Gadget Hauler."
"Being honest at the end of the duel you acted a bit like a boy." Romin admitted to her.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" Luna asked nervously.
"You looked a bit upset when you lost, and called my copy of Pot of Greed a cool copy." Romin answered.
"Well, I mean... who wouldn't be a little upset to lose? Plus it looked different from any copy I've ever seen." Luna admitted.
Romin shrugged, "Ah well doesn't matter. Anyway you did ask me where I got it?"
"Yeah." Luna nodded as they walked off the field so Akiza could duel Professor Frank.
They walked down the hall as Romin explained, "It's something known as a Rush Duel card."
"Rush Duel?" Luna asked her.
"It's something my friend, Yuga Ohdo, created." Romin explained before telling her all about Rush Duels, and why it exist.
Luna's eyes widened hearing it. "That sounds amazing, you're so lucky to have a friend like that."
"Well yeah at first, since my cousin wanted to have it all to himself at first." Romin sighed at the mention of Roa before looking at her locket seeing the picture of him.
"Is that him?" Luna asked.
"Roa Kirishima, the band leader, and singer of RoaRomin." Romin explained.
"RoaRom... wait, he's in the same band as you?" Luna asked in shock.
Romin nodded confirming that.
"Wow, being in a band with your cousin and having such a great friend. That's really awesome." Luna smiled before turning and walking over to Yusei.
'Yeah...' Romin trailed off looking back to the locket of Roa sighing.
A few minutes later Akiza walked back. "We both won our matches."
Romin looked over to her putting her locket back, "Sorry, I didn't see the duel."
"You didn't miss anything, he barely put up a fight." Akiza replied before pausing. "Romin, do you mind I ask you something?"
"Yes?" Romin asked her.
"What kind of relationship do you have with Yuga?" Akiza inquired.
Romin hearing that gave thought. Otherside from his tinkering methods, and road creation, she also grows worried each time he duels, and thought he wouldn't forgive her when Roa revealed the real reason why she's with him, Gakuto, and Luke but much to her surprise he did forgave her, and given her the Duel Guitar after she praised one of his creations which was based on the Duel Guitar. But despite that she doesn't seem that interested in Yuga, and still doesn't know how he figured out she's tone-deaf (It made her really embarrassed that day).
So in the end she shrugged to her, "He's a good friend but don't have any kind of special feelings."
Akiza nodded. "Well I think your opponent in that duel last match, Luna, she might be a lesbian... I think she might have a crush on you."
Romin blinked asking, "What gave you that idea?"
"She was talking with Yusei when I came back, blushing, and mentioned your name." Akiza answered before indicating where Luna was talking with the man with the criminal mark and her face was red.
Romin stared before mentioning, "Come to think of it, I did felt a flutter in my heart when I first saw her."
"Well, it's not my place but if you want to talk with her about it go ahead." Akiza mentioned before walking to stand against a wall and watch the duels.
Romin looked back before walking over to Luna, and Yusei.
"... don't know what to do Yusei." Luna was saying with a blush.
Yusei gave a shrug before noticing Romin walking over, "Well you have time to think cause she's coming over."
Luna's eyes widened before turning to see Romin. Romin nodded to her with a smile, "Hello again Luna."
"Hi." she replied. "Is everything ok?"
"Are you? My friend told me that you been talking about me." Romin asked her.
"Oh... yeah, I was just talking about how you're a really good duelist." Luna mentioned quickly.
"Are you sure it's not for... anything else?" Romin pressed on getting closer.
Luna leaned back starting to blush heavily. "Wh... what are you talking about?"
"Do you LIKE me?" Romin asked emphasizing on 'like'.
Luna blushed even more at that.
"Well?" Romin asked getting close to her face asking that.
Luna was blushing a lot at that. "Um... well..."
Romin only grinned a fliterious grin before winking. Seeing that Luna blushed before closing her eyes and kissing Romin only to pull back nervously. Romin couldn't help but blink but chuckle, "Guess that's your answer." She pulled back as she said that.
Luna was looking down with a blush.
"Then be honest with me." She told him having a hand on her hip while her other hand rests on her Guitar Case, "Are you really a girl cause your acting like a boy."
Luna looked nervous before looking down. "That's um... both?"
"Both?" Romin asked blinking, "How can that be possible?"
Luna looked down before whispering so only Romin could hear. "Luna's... my twin sister, I entered in her place. Luna is a girl though."
Romin blinked looking at him, "So... who are you?"
"My name's... Leo." he answered.
Romin smiled to him before saying, "Glad to hear your honest. Your not a bad duelist yourself Leo, and your actually the first opponent I had to damage me in a duel."
"Wait really?" Leo asked hearing that.
"Well since I got here to this city at least." Romin admitted.
"Wow... you're really strong, super talented, and an awesome duelist too?" Leo asked in shock.
"Just wait until you meet Yuga, Luke, Gakuto, and Roa. Those four are skillful then me." Romin told him.
Leo looked unsure but nodded before Yusei walked back having won his duel. "Oh, well good luck in the next round Romin."
She nodded before the MC announced, "And now will Grieger, Romin, Akiza, and Yusei come to the field please!"
The four of them nodded walking to the field.
They were there on the field as the MC announced, "All four of these duelists are all good in there match, and now it is time for the semi-Oh what is this?"
The screen turned to static before turning into a man in his 40s having long white hair.
"Goodwin?" Yusei asked seeing him.
"Goodwin?" Romin asked him having never heard of this man.
"A very evil man." Akiza told her quietly. "He's trying to take over the entire world and Sayer is the only one who can stop him."
Romin looked shocked as Goodwin announced, "People of New Domino City, I hope you've all been enjoying the competition thus far."
The people started to talk excitedly at this.
"Now I'm certain most if not all of you are eagerly awaiting the remaining matches in order to see who earns the right to challenge Jack Atlas, and as you can see the next two duels have been chosen." Goodwin stated as images of Romin is dueling against Grieger next while Akiza is dueling Yusei appeared.
The crowd were excited about the next match.
"However before we move on I must ask you, the people of New Domino City. Would you feel better is one of the eliminated contestants get a chance to show their real prowess against one of these other duelists?" Goodwin asked the city.
The crowd all started to cheer at that.
"Therefor, I have a proposal for you. An exhibition match for one of the eliminated contestants to be brought back in the Fortune Cup for another shot to duel against Jack Atlas once more." Goodwin told the crowd.
Akiza frowned hearing that. "What is he plotting?"
"Then without any more delay the exhibition match will pit Professor Frank against Luna, we seen Luna had warrior's spirit but never displayed it fully, and Professor Frank hasn't shown us his true potential so we will see what they can really do." Goodwin stated as Luna and Professor Frank's images appeared in the center of the field.
Romin muttered to herself, "Does this mean Leo will take over for his sister again?"
That's when to her shock a spotlight shone on the crowd where a man with blue hair, and old man, and a young green-haired young boy were sitting with the light seeming to focus on the boy.
"Did they managed to figure out the real Luna?" Romin asked seeing that.
She noticed Yusei frowned before a few minutes later the real Luna walked down looking nervous as Romin saw how similar she looked to Leo.
The four remaining duelists walked out but Romin handed Luna a card whispering, "Here, she will help you." She slipped the card into her Deck nodding before walking off.
Luna blinked at that in confusion. 'Why would she give me a card?'
Shaking her head she looked at her opponent nervously.
Ulrich362: Well, Romin made an... acquaintance? Friend? Boyfriend? Well something, and the Fortune Cup is well underway.
bopdog111: And now Luna is in her reconciliation match with a card Romin gave her.
Ulrich362: Will that card be the key to her victory?
