Across the world, in a small Irish village, a small black-haired blue-eyed girl was wandering around the local market. Walking over to a pastier she overheard a group of people talking outside a pub "Did ya hear about what happened in Amity Park?" one of the guys asked, Dani, slowed to listen in.
"Isn't it that town that gets attacked from ghosts?" one of the others asked, taking a drink from his pint.
"Yeah it apparently got wrecked by a couple of big ghosts" the first guy replied leaning forward on the table.
Dani stopped listening to the group for two reasons, one her own thoughts worrying about Danny and everyone in amity and two her ghost sense went off "all right where are you?" she whispered, scanning the area.
A blast landed at her feet startling the young halfa, while the crowd screamed and ran away.
Looking up Dani saw Skulker floating there his arm cannon still smoking "the whelp would have seen that coming" he flatly said lowering his arm.
Dani's eyes narrowed "yeah? he finally gets too strong for you so you decided to go after little weak me?" she challenged.
"It seems like you at least have his talent for annoying me" skulker sighed his tone still flat "but it looks like that's it since you still have a way to go to catch him in battle awareness"
"What are you..." Dani started before a stinging pain on her arm caught her attention looking down. Dani saw a dart lodged in the pale flesh and she quickly fell unconscious.
"Nor do you seem to have his tolerance" Skulker sighed once more wrapping Dani in a net before flying off towards the direction of Amity leaving behind the now emptied square.
Despite the repairs and clean-up in Amity, there was still an overhang of dreariness to the town few children out playing and adults constantly looking at the sky as if hoping to see something or someone. In Vlad mansion Jazz was looking through his library specifically his collection of ghostly texts trying to find something to bring Danny and the others back, the fireplace opened up and Vlad walked out "ah Jasmine just the person I wanted to talk to" his voice hollow despite the false chipper tone he tried to use.
"What do you want Vlad?" Jazz growled not bothering with pleasantries.
"An associate of mine found something of interest that I think you might be inclined to see" Vlad calmly replied.
"Who?" Jazz questioned her eyebrow-raising.
"Trust me…" Vlad started.
"I don't though" Jazz cut him off.
"Jasmine…"
"You've done almost nothing since I've known the truth to prove you're trustworthy" jazz continued stalked closer building steam.
"Child listen to me!" Vlad snapped Jazz's mouth hung open for a few moments until she closed it glaring at Vlad "do not interrupt me again this is an important thing…"
"What's so important?" jazz asked smirking at Vlad's eye twitch.
"If you would let me say"
"You just keep dodging around the topic, what is it?"
"It's your niece, Daniels daughter!" Vlad shouted snapping the flames in the fireplace rising higher.
Jazz stood stunned for a moment "nice try fruitloop but Danny didn't have a daughter you of all people should know that" she turned towards the bookcase again "you spied on him enough"
"Yes and no," Vlad said, his voice tired.
"What did you do Vlad?" Jazz growled spinning to glare at the billionaire halfa.
"When Daniel did not cooperate with becoming my son, I decided to take a different path using his DNA to create the perfect half-ghost son" Vlad explained starting to pace "one of the less successful clones begin to think on her own after meeting with Daniel and due to a misfortunate turn of events"
"They kicked your butt?" Jazz put in with a smirk.
"Yes," Vlad remarked scowling "anyways even if Daniel or Danielle don't realize it they are father and daughter, I used his DNA to create her and despite it killing me to admit he did act more like a father to her than I"
"So you illegally cloned my brother?" Jazz frowned, glaring at him more viciously.
"Yes yes I'm an evil monster we've gone over this a thousand times, now stop focusing on that point Jasmine I thought you were smart enough to realize the big point in this" Vlad growled in return.
"What do you… oh no." the realization dawned on Jazz.
"Yes, quite literally the only person in the world who could understand and care for her is gone now how do you think she is going to react?" Vlad walked over "now come along Skulker will be arriving shortly"
Jazz numbly nodded letting Vlad pull her down to the lab, as the two walked in they saw Skulker floating there next to a containment cube "plasmius… whelp's sister"
"That's all Skulker," Vlad told him.
Skulker nodded "I'm returning to the hunt my scouts think they've found some traces"
"Your payment will be in the usual place" Vlad replied.
Skulker left and Danielle began to stir "I believe that is my cue to leave you two alone," Vlad said handing Jazz a remote and floating up the stairs to check on Jack and Maddie.
Jazz waited for a few more minutes until Danielle woke up with a gasp. Jazz could see the resemblance to Danny in her. There were a few subtle differences between them but jazz put the matter aside due to the shockingly blue eyes staring at her.
After Danielle got past the panic of being in Vlad's lab she noticed Jazz watching her from the shadows "hey you're Danny's sister right?"
Jazz nodded mutely.
Dani gave a relieved smile not noticing the tears gathering in the older girl's eyes "then can you go get him and help me out of here"
Jazz took a small step forward "dan… Dani"
"Yeah him," Dani nodded "we need to hurry up before the cheese head comes back"
Jazz shook her head holding up the remote "I can let you out but… there are some things we need to talk about."
"Yeah whatever you want we need to hurry up and leave first" Dani nervously glanced at the door expecting Vlad any moment.
"there's no need to hurry Vlad won't be coming back anytime soon"
Dani relaxed slightly "oh Danny must be keeping him distracted"
A tear slid down Jazz's face startling Dani
"ah um it's okay don't… don't cry"
Jazz reached up and wiped the tear away "Dani I need to tell you something" taking a shuddering breath "do you know about the disaster a few days ago?"
Dani nodded "yeah I just heard about it before I was caught what's that got to do with this?"
Taking another deep breath she looked Dani in the eyes "while dealing with the ghosts responsible for the disaster the portal blew up... catching Danny, Sam, and Tucker in its blast."
"What?... you're… you're joking… right? This is just a bad joke... Danny's just outside waiting to jump in to surprise me and say got you…" Dani's voice petered off as she saw Jazz's face, tears welled in Dani's eyes "please… please tell me that you're lying… that they're okay… that he's okay…" she weakly begged her voice growing softer.
Jazz's legs gave as she knelt repeating "I'm sorry" as her shoulders shook holding the girl close.
a bit rushed for chapter two but chapter three should be better I just need to think about what needs to be done and what would change during the time Danny is gone but I hope you guys and gals have been enjoying, have a good day night morning afternoon whatever it is where ever you are!
