A/N thanks for your reviews and support.
Yumi Edogawa: thanks for your review my friend. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. What happened to the others will be revealed later down the line. You are right however they would not just abandon their friends.
Shinsou's POV
There were times he questioned his best friend's sanity. Today was most certainly one of those days. Izuku had his nose buried in a notebook that Hitoshi couldnt remember him having before. The excitement was almost palpable in the way it was coming off of him.
Hitoshi knew that something had happened to his friend the day before. Izuku had seemed off and almost distracted even before he took the notebook out. If he had to guess it had something to do with Bakugo and his goons.
Bakugo hated everything and everyone that he saw as weaker than himself. Which in his eyes was anyone that wasnt a pro hero. For whatever reason though he had a particular hatred for Izuku. While he bullied everyone he was harsher even using his quirk freely on Izuku.
The other students followed Bakugo's lead and turned their backs on Izuku. No matter what school he went to everyone called him Deku. Treated him as if he was less than them because his quirk was weak in their eyes.
Only Hitoshi, Kavar, and Mei knew the truth. Izuku was strong. He put everything into what he set his mind to. Whether that was improving his quirk or helping others improve theirs.
The kindness that Izuku showed others was drew the group to him. All four members of the group had family issues. Izuku and Hitoshi's families were abusive and had little faith that the two could amount to anything.
While Kavar and Mei's families werent abusive they were neglectful. Kavar had self esteem issues almost as bad as Izuku's. Mei's parents wanted her to be the perfect little princess. They wanted a child that would win beauty pageants and wear dresses. What they got was a girl who's dream was to design and make support gear. According to Kavar they were always telling her that she would never make it into the support course. That it was a man's world and she should focus on beauty instead.
So she made support gear with them in secret. The four friends swore up and down that they would not let their parents get to them. They would make it into their chosen fields no matter what anyone else said.
With it being their last year of elementary school they had to find ways to stand out. Hero weeks at middle school level were nothing like at elementary level. Heroes could choose a student to study under them. It was a huge honor to get chosen and would almost guarantee the child a spot in the recommendation exams.
To Hitoshi it had been a fool's dream. They had nowhere that they could safely practice. If they were caught and given public quirk usage to their records they would never make it into a good hero school.
Now however things were actually beginning to look up. The factory was so far out of the way police and heroes wouldnt patrol it. If they could get the computer up and running then Izuku could work on his hacking. Hitoshi wasnt stupid he knew his friend was learning hacking. If his eager smiles were any indication he was getting fairly good at it. System was the perfect quirk for such a thing after all. He didn't even need a phone or computer of his own to hack. He just had to be around them.
Speaking of computers he saw Izuku messing with the supercomputer. Oh, oh no. Izuku messing with supercomputer was not going to end well. Kavar however stopped him from interfering by reminding him about the journals. Right he should probably read these before they got ahead of themselves.
Halfway through the first journal he looked up and rubbed tiredly at his eyes. This was intriguing but why did they need to care? From what he understood XANA was gone. He had been stopped by the kids over two centuries ago.
Opening his mouth to question Izuku he found to his horror Mei sitting at the computer. Izuku was nowhere in sight as she typed away at it. Where the hell did his best friend sneak off to?
He asked before he could stop himself, "Where's Izuku?"
That had Kavar looking up concern etching itself across the other's face. Meanwhile Mei cackled, "He's in the scanner room of course?"
Both he and Kavar cried at the same time, "He's what?! Mei you have got to stop him."
She cackled again delight lighting up her eyes, "Too late. Scanning Izuku."
A card appeared on the screen in front of her as well as a computer rendition of his form. The card filled itself out with his name and quirk. When it showed his face however it was covered by a black cowl. A hood pooled at his back.
Izuku's card had him wearing a black jacket with an armband that had a red eye like symbol on it. Under the jacket was a dark green shirt. His pants were similar to that of the military BDU style. Black fingerless gloves covered his hands and combat boots protected his feet.
Hitoshi was just beginning to understand what this would all mean for them. To Mei he said with hard eyes, "Have scanner to waiting for me. I'm not letting Izuku go in there alone."
Kavar agreed already heading for the door, "That's ditto for me too. I'll take the third scanner."
From one generation to the next the Lyoko Warriors had returned.
Izuku's POV
As the others read the notebooks he began messing with the computer. After what he read he was intent on seeing Lyoko for himself. A whole different world inside the computer systems. It had to be the most interesting thing he had ever heard. He wanted to know how System would react.
It only took a few moments for the computer to come to life. He started running the programs to get things up and working again. For being so old things were running well. Without the journals none of them would have been able to guess that it was over 200 years old.
Using System he found he could piggyback off of a nearby tower and give the computer access to the internet. Something he hesitated at doing at first. XANA was still in the computer somewhere. Izuku had no idea if they had anyway to combat the program. If they didnt and it got out onto the internet their world would be in danger.
No. It was better to wait and see what all they were able to do first. Then plan for any dangers before they hooked the computer up to the internet.
Pulling the journal with the different codings and programs in it closer to him Izuku began run them. The first being for the scanners. Wrapped up in his work he barely noticed Mei coming up to watch.
Izuku whispered so that the other two couldnt hear, "You want to test out the scanners?"
The grin he received in answer would have been terrifying if he didnt have one of his own. Discreetly they switched places and Izuku went into the room. When he stood in front of the first scanner it opened allowing him to step inside.
Behind him the door closed a white light surrounded him. Seconds later Izuku had the feeling of falling over take him. On instinct he rolled but went to far forward as an unfamiliar weight was on him.
Izuku hit what felt like grass with a grunt before popping up to his feet. This was most certainly was not the factory. Trees surrounded him from all sides but it was like no forest he had ever been in. The air was still and it was absolutely silent around him.
This was Lyoko? Glancing down at himself he knew for a fact it was. The armband he was now wearing was proof of the fact. The journals had spoken of the mark. Mark of both Lyoko and XANA himself.
A wardrobe change was not the only thing he was contending with either. A katana was across one shoulder the handle coming up his left side for easy draw. Not many people knew but he was in fact ambidextrous though he preferred to use his left hand.
On his belt was two knives as well. Interesting it seemed Lyoko took into account their preferences in fighting styles. He had to wonder how far that would extend to.
Focusing on his quirk he was assaulted by a grid layout of the world. Almost immediately he had to stop using it. That was terrifying but at the same time interesting. Another thing he would have to experiment with. For now it was time to explore.
