Helios's Secret Child Chapter 2
As time went by Cedric raised Blaise with some help from Roland and Baileywick as they helped raise not just Blaise, but Amber and James as well who were both about 6 months old when Blaise came into their lives.
At first Amber wasn't sure about the new baby, but slowly she warmed up to the little charmer and James was just happy to have another boy to knight and dragon with.
By the time Blaise was 1 year he was walking and talking just like any other child, but he was still a daddy's boy and liked to be with his Papa when he could.
When it came time for Blaise to start kindergarten, Cedric had to reassure the young 5 year old that he would come and get him when it was time to leave and that he would have a lot of fun and make new friends.
It took about a week for Blaise to love going to school and Cedric just happy to see his son happy and enjoying the experience. At first Cedric was worried about how Blaise would cope being away, but once he saw the smile on the young boy's face, he no longer had to worry about it.
For the most part Blaise was a relatively, easygoing child, but he had fiery temper that got him into trouble every now and then and most of the time, it was for a good reason, like bullies picking on his friends or other kids, other times Blaise would be teased for being a "Adopted reject" or "A motherless bastard" by some of the other kids and Cedric always taught him to ignore it, but sometimes Blaise let his temper get the better of him and he ended up pushing the kids down to ground, which cause to cry crocodile tears as they claimed that he beat them up, which after a through exam, was proven false by the school's nurse.
But Cedric would still get summoned to talk with Blaise's teacher and headmaster at times, because of the teasing and after Cedric found out, he make sure to tell the children's parents about what their child was doing and saying to his son, and for the most part the teasing stopped and the kids left him alone.
Over time as Cedric watched his son grow and learn from the world around him, Cedric would sometimes wish that his son didn't have to grow up just yet, so he would try to make pictures of their times together and there were a few with Roland and Baileywick and the Twins as well that decorated the walls of their home.
'I still sometimes can't believe it's been 10 years since I had found him in those woods in the beginning of winter wrapped in nothing but a blanket, he has grown so much these past 10 years and he is at the top of his class at Hexley Hall.' Cedric thought fondly as he tried to study the spell book in front of him without much success as he waited for his son to come down for breakfast.
Hearing the door upstairs to his rooms open and shut loudly, made Cedric put the book away before making his way to the table where the still hot food laid under sliver covers.
"Good Morning, Blaise I trust you a good night's rest." Cedric asked as the boy with messy fiery red hair and icy blue blue still daze with sleep walks over his chair and sits, before putting his head down in his arms with a groan.
"None of that now, sit up and eat, before it gets cold." Cedric said as he took off the covers to reveal a simple spread of pancakes with melted butter and syrup with a side of sausage and scramble eggs, when Blaise smells the scent of food he sits up and begins to eat with gusto, making Cedric smile fondly at him before he tucks into his own, only to gently remind his son to slow down or he would choke.
After a few moments of silent, with sounds of eating, and scraping of silverware on plates as they both ate the food.
Once all the food was gone, Cedric asked Blaise "Did you finish your homework last night? and did you remember to pack your school bag? I don't repeat the last time and I don't want to get a call from the school again that "My Papa accidently made my homework disappear."
Now more awake, Blaise blushed in embarrassment as he remembers the scolding he got in front of his friends by both his teachers and his Papa as they found his little plan and the two week grounding that followed afterwards.
"Yes to both and I already triple checked to make sure, trust me Papa, I learned my lesson the first time."
Cedric smiles as he reaches over to ruffle his son's messy red hair, making it look more wild, which makes his son fuss about how he just got right making the sorcerer chuckle "Go and get dressed son."
Blaine goes off to get ready for school, while Cedric goes back to where he put his book and starts to resume reading it once more, but then a pair of arms wrapped around his neck, as he gave the child a kiss on the forehead, before saying.
"Have a spell-tastic day and be good, my little firecracker." Cedric said as he returned the hug.
"I will see you later Papa, love you."
Cedric's heart still melts every time he hears that.
"I love you too, son."
When Blaise left the tower, he met up with both Amber and James as they were waiting for him so they could all share a carriage, so that way they could talk while being dropped off at their schools.
"Good morning, James, Amber." Blaise said as gave a mock bow and pretended to kiss Amber's hand which had Amber saying "Cut it out!" making them all laugh at his antics, before racing for the carriage.
The ride to school was pretty uneventful, for the most part, James and Blaise were thinking of pranks or jokes that they both thought they could pull off and not get caught, only Amber just snorted with amusement.
"If you get caught it will be your own fault, now come on James we have to get going." Amber said as she fanned herself as the carriage landed at the entrance to the Royal Preparatory Academy.
"Aw! Okay, bye Blaise see you after school, maybe you can show me some cool new spells for pranks." James said he fist bumped with Blaise before leaving the carriage with Amber who gave a small wave, before the carriage took off once more with an now anxious sorcerer in training as he started to silently pray.
'I hope that I don't run into Elliot or Merlin forbid, Henry." Blaise thought fearfully as the carriage touched down to the entrance of Hexley Hall where all the students were still being dropped off.
After he gathered his bag and checked to make sure his wand was in its holster, he quickly leaves the carriage and tries to speed walk into the school before anyone could notice him, but fate wasn't on his side as he was grabbed from behind by his robes, and turned to face the two most feared bullies of Hexley Hall, Elliot and Henry.
Two boy in his year that decided to target him since day one, just because of his looks and his background with having a sorcerer that wasn't his real father and they all thought he was just an a fake at first, but when Blaise proved them all wrong by doing magic that no other sorcerer could do, manipulate fire a will without a wand or chant.
For a while no one would doing anything to provoke him, but then one day an angry and jealous, Elliot and his partner in crime, Henry decided to change that and dragged him into a bathroom and roughed him up, scaring the boy as they left him on the floor of the bathroom in ball, but after awhile, Blaise got up and straightens himself in the mirror, leaving the bathroom, acting as if nothing happen, but since then he had been afraid to use his fire powers for fear of making others attack him again.
But the bullying didn't stop, no matter how well Blaise hid or ran, they always managed to catch him and beat him up, and it seem to get worse everyday, no matter what he did or didn't do.
Blaise looks in the bathroom mirror as he shakenly tries to cover up the black eye and split lip with a concealment spell before he gets ready to go home, so that his Papa would not find out about and ask too many questions.
After about the fifth time, he got it right and sighs in relief as the bruise was completely gone from view, even though he still felt it and thankfully it hid his ashen face and the dark circles under his eyes, from the many sleepless nights he had in his room.
Leaving the bathroom, he tried to stick to the shadows in the hopes of not being seen, but it was in vain as he was quickly grabbed from behind by not just Elliot and Henry this time but their two older brothers Jason and Charles "Well, well, looks like you were right, little bro, the Freak healed himself, why don't we teach him another lesson, boys." Jason snapped his fingers, which had the two younger boys pin his arms behind his back, while the two older boys took turns punching him in the stomach, chest, face until they got bored and let him crumble to the floor in a heap.
Once they are gone, Blaise carefully lifts himself off the floor, taking care to not put his full weight on his swollen ankle as he slowly leaves the school and heads towards the carriage that was waiting for him, cradling his sprained wrist close to his chest.
'At least on the way home I can heal some of the sprains and bruises.' Blaise thought as he opened the door to his surprise he saw his father sitting there with a smile on his face, but it quickly vanished when he felt the concealment spell's magic around his son, with a quick flick of his wand, the spell fell away to reveal the state of his son.
"Who did this to you?! Cedric exclaimed as he took in the sorry state of his little boy as he carefully brought him into the carriage and made him lay down.
Blaise looked awful, his face was ashen, his once lively red hair, was now a dull rusty red, his poor face was covered in bruise in various stages of healing and from the looks of his son had lost a lot of weight and he was favoring one leg, which said that he injury on his leg.
With a quick diagnosis spell, Cedric had the results of his son's general health and what he read had his blood boiling.
Name: Blaise
Age: 10
Biological Mother: Princess Anna of Arendelle
Biological Father: Helios, Titan Sun God
Adopted Father: Cedric of Enchancia
General Health: Bruises covering the face, chest, stomach and back, bruised ribs, sprain wrist, sprain ankle, stomach ulcers and malnutrition
When Cedric read the current state of his son's health was both angry and sad at himself for not noticing that his son was hurting and it made him feel like a failure as a father.
"You're not a failure, Papa, it was my fault for not telling you, but I was so scared and I was ashamed."
Cedric's heart was breaking at hearing the defeat in his son's voice and he knew that he had to put his own personal anger aside to help his son.
"Tell me." Cedric said as he held his son close to him, while the boy confessed to everything that happened the bullying, the teachers ignoring or turning a blind eye to it and by the time he was done, the full weight of everything hit him hard as he broke down into tears, while Cedric comforted him.
'Don't worry, Blaise, I will make sure that they all pay for hurting you.' Cedric thought as he carried his now sleeping son, out of the carriage and made his way quickly to their home.
After tucking the boy into bed, Cedric was quick to pen a letter to the Headmaster of Hexley, explaining the situation and the state he found his son in while picking him up from the school, leaving the ink to dry, Cedric has Baileywick bring up a simple dinner of broth and bread, saying that his son had a upset stomach.
"Poor boy, I hope he feels better soon." Baileywick said as he personally brought the tray of soup and fresh bread up to Cedric's door.
"Thank you, Baileywick." Cedric said as he quickly left Stewart to go see his son.
Setting the tray down on small desk beside his son's bed, he gently wakes the boy enough to feed him some of the bread soaked in broth, until he was barely able to keep his eyes open, after cleaning up dinner, Cedric quickly tucks Blaise back into bed and gives him a kiss on the forehead, before leaving to send off the letter to the school's Headmaster.
For the next few days, Blaise mostly was on bed rest to help him heal and take any of the various healing potions that Cedric made him take, no matter how disgusting they were, but what Cedric was his son's mental and emotional state of mind.
Blaise looked scared and sad about something and it broke Cedric's heart, as he tried to think of what it could be that had his son afraid of, but kept frustratingly coming up empty. So he decided to go read for a bit while Blaise rest and did some homework that Cedric had sent to help Blaise keep up with his classes, while Cedric was searching for a book to read, a piece of paper fell of his desk, so he bent over to pick it up and recognized that it was Blaise's diagnosis results and so he decided to take a second and when he got to the part of who the parents were, his face went pale with shock.
Biological Mother: Princess Anna of Arendelle
Biological Father: Helios, Titan Sun God
"Merlin's Mushroom! My son is a demigod and a prince!" Cedric exclaimed out loud before sitting heavily in his chair as he let the piece of paper fall out of his hands, before he quickly flicks his wand and burns the paper into ashes, and cleaning them away into the still burning fireplace.
'No one should know about this, he will be hunted for the rest of his life, because of what and who he is.' Cedric thought with protective determination, as he grabbed the memory wipe potion, tosses it back and falling into deep sleep on his chair, while the potion let him forget the last few hours. Forever.
