"Watch out behind you Klein!" Kage yelled as he slashed at the boar he was fighting.
"Oh shiiiittttt!" Klein yelled as a boar rammed him in the back and sent him flying.
Kage finished killing the boar he was fighting making it explode into shards and earning a few cols before running to check up on Klein, who was just lying on the ground groaning.
"You ok dude," Kage asked as he offered him a hand to help him up.
"Yeah, but why the hell does it hurt so damn much for a game," he complained.
"Well Kayaba wanted to make the game as realistic as possible so he set the basic pain nullification at 40% but if you want you can change it," Kage explained to Klein.
"Dude how do you know all this stuff?" Klein asked.
"Its simple, I actually paid attention to the tutorial earlier, unlike a certain someone," Kage told him.
"It was a lot of words that I didn't want to read." Klein protested.
"It was read to you," Kage said rolling his eyes.
"Whatever man, just tell me how to turn down the pain," Klein said.
Kage helped Klein fix his settings so that he wouldn't feel pain when he got hit.
"What is your pain set at?" Klein asked after he finished resetting his own.
"80%," Kage told him.
"Dude are you crazy?" Klein asked wide-eyed.
"No, I just like a greater sense of realism," Kage explained
"Still isn't that a bit much, I mean I was set to only 40%, and that hurt like hell.
"Well I might change it later if it becomes too much to handle but for now it's fine," Kage said while he walked towards the place where all the boars were roaming.
While he was walking he saw another player killing all of the boars with little trouble in the distance. He had black hair with it down to his chin on his right side with beginner clothes and a large One-Handed Sword. He skillfully swung his sword like he had practiced it for a long time. The guy looked up and saw that Kage and Klein were walking towards him.
"Hello," Kage said waving at the guy.
"Hello," the guy said waving back. The name tag about his head read Kirito
"How are you so good at using sword skills?" Klein asked walking up.
"Its all about timing," Kirito said picking up a stone and throwing it at the boar while activating a sword skill causing the stone to glow blue and kill the boar when it hit.
"Woah cool," Klein said, "Mind showing me how to do that?"
"Sure I have a few hours to spare so I don't mind," Kirito said, "I'm Kirito by the way."
"I'm Klien and this here is Kage." Klein introduced.
"Well nice to meet you two," Kirito said.
"Yeah, you too," Kage said.
Kirito started to help Klein out so Kage went and started hunting the Frenzied Boars on his own. He had practiced a few years of ninjutsu and Iaido so he knew how to handle a katana quite well. He placed his katana in the sheath and walked up to one of the boars and got into a standard stance and waited until the boar started to charge at him. He waited until it was right in front of him then drew his blade and slashed down at the boar activating his sword skill.
"You're quite good at handling a sword," A voice said from behind him.
Kage turned around to see Kirito standing there.
"I have a bit of practice IRL," Kage replied.
"I see," Kirito said.
"So hows Klein doing?" Kage asked.
"He is... making progress," Kirito said with an odd look on his face.
"AHHHH!" Klein yelled as a boar hit him and he exploded into shards.
"So do you two know each other IRL?" Kirito asked as he watched Klein get bullied by the boar.
"No, we met in the beginner town and have just been partied up with him," Kage said.
"I see," Kirito said.
"What about you? Did you come with anyone?" Kage asked.
"No, I'm solo," Kirito said.
"You could join me and Klein" Kage offered.
"You sure that I won't be intruding?" Kirito asked.
"Nah its fine man," Kage told him. "Plus I'm sure Klein would be happy to have along to help for the day."
"Why don't we hunt some monster together for a while before you decide to stay with us." Kage offered.
"Alright, but for right now we should go help Klein before he gets killed again," Kirito said.
"SONOFABITCH!" Klein yelled as he got thrown by another boar.
Both Kirito and Kage rushed at the boars that were charging at Klein. Kage quickly drew his katana out of its sheath and slashed the boar in half while Kirito rushed at his and slashed down on it. They both looked at Klein who was on the ground just lying there like he was out of breath. Kage checked the time and saw that it said 15:00.
"Well, I have a couple more hours till I have to go so you guys want to go hunt some more?" Kage asked.
"Sure," Kirito said.
"Well my friends won't arrive till 18:00 with pizza so why not," Klein said shrugging his shoulders.
"Alright, it's decided then," Kage said.
So the three of them spent the next couple of hours hunting down boars and getting used to the way SAO worked.
"Well my pizza will be here soon so I'm gonna log out," Klein said, "But first let's add each other as friends so we can hang out together some other time."
"Yeah, I gotta go to so this is a perfect time," Kage said.
"Alright, then I'll see you two later," Kirito said
The three of them added each other as friends. Kage and Klein went to log out, but when Kage opened his menu to logout he noticed that something was missing. The logout button.
