Chapter 2: The Fun Begins
The sun finally rises on the next day, and Phineas and Ferb are excited to start their day. They wake up early in the morning, and hear the birds chirping. They then put on new clothes and start their day. They go downstairs, and eat breakfast, and see that their mom is leaving to do he errands for the day. Before they decide to build anything, they first go to their friends' houses, and wake them up. Phineas and Ferb go to Isabella, Buford, and Baljeet's house, and wake them up. Together, they all go to the famous backyard, where new ideas and creations are made every day. All of the five friends start to brainstorm different things they can make. They think of a big water slide, a big bouncy house, a mega trampoline, and many more ideas. Soon, Isabella said that they should make a big slingshot, which allows them to travel across the Earth in a few seconds. Phineas was very excited with this idea, and soon decided to build this mega slingshot. Before he could build it however, he needed all the materials. Phineas first went to the store to get the blueprints needed to construct it. Along the way, he met Dr. Doofenshmirtz, who was also getting different blueprints. Phineas finally got the blueprints he needed and walked out the store, to meet his friends again.
Phineas along with his friends first went to a shop where they sell very strong and big rubber bands. The gang decided to order some, so they could use it for the sling shot. Next, they walked to another store, which sold massive metal pipes. They decided to buy many of these pipes and construct the shape of the slingshot. Next, they brought a capsule, in which they could sit when being launched. The time finally came, where Phineas and his friends would be able to construct their first invention of the summer. All of them were excited, as this was their first invention in a long time.
Phineas along with his friends finally began to make it. They first made the shape of the slingshot out of the metal pipes. This took some time, as they needed a really big ladder to set up the slingshot. They drilled a massive hole into the ground, and but the structure of the slingshot into the hole. The base of the slingshot was now completed and stood higher then Phineas' house. Next was the massive rubber band. The rubber band was very big in length, however Phineas and his friends soon got it connected to both ends. The sling shot was not ready. They just needed to make a robotic hand, which pulled the slingshot back. This part took some time; however, Buford was able to use his muscles, and set up the robotic hand. Now that the slingshot was ready, it was time to have fun. Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Buford, and Baljeet put so much work into this invention, and now it was ready. The five of them went around town, inviting other kids to join them on their adventure. After some time, they were able to collect a large group of kids, that were very excited. All of these kids remembered these inventions last summer, and they were ecstatic to try them out again. The kids then entered the backyard and got inside the capsule. While this entire incident was taking place, Candace was stocking them from her room. She was looking at their every move and was shocked to see how big this invention was. She immediately called her mom, who was busy at a yoga lesson. Her mom ignored her and continued her yoga lesson in piece. Candace continued to watch them, until the slingshot finally launched the capsule. Candace's jaw dropped to the floor, as she was surprised as to how far they went. A few minutes passed by, and soon enough the capsule returns, with all the kids laughing. They decided to keep on riding it, as they were having so much fun. While they were having all this fun, Candace was watching them from her room. She was motivated to catch her brother in the act this time, as she was unsuccessful all last summer. She was motivated, to catch her brothers, and made sure that nothing stood between her goals. In the meantime, however, she had to wait for her mom, as she was still at her yoga class doing yoga. She would not be back for the next couple hours. As the time continued to tick, Candace became more and more anxious, as she had finally thought that today would be the day that she would successfully catch her brothers in the act.
