2.DAMON THE DEMON

"Great", Caroline mumbled.

'I seriously need to brush up my ninja skills and how the hell did he even get here so fast. Must be one of his weird vampire super powers', she thought with her gaze lowered at the floor (she knew they were fast, but she didn't think that they were this fast). She had absolutely no courage to lift her gaze and look at him as she would either freak out Or get completely lost in those piercing blue eyes. Neither of those options sounded good.

Damon just looked at her with an amused expression at her attempt to look at everything but him.

"Good morning", Damon whispered into Caroline's ear. His voice and the breath fanning on her ear seemed to break Caroline from whatever trans she was in, as her face twisted into an horrified expression remembering her current life or death situation and she started to panic immediately. In a quick motion she moved away from him nearing her bedside while picking up her table lamp as a device to protect herself (which wouldn't have even protected her from a human, let alone a vampire, but one has to work with what they have)

"Ah, Ah, Ah", Damon objected in a mocking manner as he quickly appear in front of her blocking her only path of escape.

Without a second thought, Caroline swing the lamb she was holding in her hand, hitting him right across his face (which honestly didn't do anything other than bruising his ego). Noticing that it had no effect whatsoever, she threw the lamb on the floor which instantly produced a shattering sound and crawling across her bed to the other side of her room, picking up the the small jewellery box from the table and threw it at him. It missed him by a fluke as he ducked to the left. The glass box hit the wall immediately smashing into smithereens, scarring all the contents all over the room.

Seeing no other chance to get away, Caroline decides to bolt for the door without a second thought (which again proved to be just another unfruitful attempt to escape), but before she can even reach the door knob, Damon grabs her by the waist and flings her at the center of the bed.

Caroline land on the bed producing a loud thump sound (loud enough to alert her mom downstairs, but her mom wasn't even home, because she prefer working extra hours then spending some time with her only daughter just like everyone else in Caroline's life). As a last ditch effort she started to throw her pillows at him, one of them hitting him directly in the face.

That made Damon lose his last shred of patience as his eyes blackened, veins appearing and fangs extending along with an evil sly ready to attack.

For a moment Caroline was spellbound at his vampire features, (They look sickening yet at the same time mesmerising), but she quickly snapped out of it as she became aware of him approaching to her, just like a predator approaching their prey.

Just when he was about to go for the kill (he wasn't going to kill her but she didn't need to know that), Caroline yelled so loud that it could wake the whole neighbourhood up, "STOP!, Just WAIT a damn minute".

That stopped Damon from biting down her neck and looking at her with an amused expression.

" What now little birdie, want to spread your wings one last time?", Damon questioned with his oh so charming smirk (the same smirk that got her in this situation in the first place)

Caroline frowned at the pet name clearly not like it one bit. But now was not the time to ponder about that awful nickname.

Damon looked even more amused at the frown on her pretty that was now on full display. Obviously she hated his choice of endearment. The pout on her face looked so freaking adorable (Not that he is going confess that fact to ANYONE. He has an image keep. Can't ruin his 168 year old reputation). Such a pretty thing she was too bad she was going to die soon (But not yet. He still needs her for his plans)

Noticing that he was clearly engrossed in his thoughts,(Probably thinking of hundred ways to end her pitiful lonely life), She took the opportunity to Clear her thoughts. Caroline took a deep breath to calm down her nerves as she spoke with confidence (or as much confidence she could manage. Number one rule of life is to not show your opponent FEAR. There was a reason why she was the Queen Bee of her high school despite being a junior)

"I know what you are. And why you are here." Caroline said, looking him directly in the eyes, not breaking eye contact even for a second.

That surprised Damon. The fact that she looked him right in the eye, gaze not faltering even for a second, with so much confidence impressed him. She didn't even look a tiny bit scared of him and he would honestly believe her act, if he didn't still feel her slightly trembling in his arms.

The surprised look was soon replace with disbelief and amusement. "And what is that little birdie?" he responded with a sly grin. He used the same nickname again just to agitate her and by the exasperated look on her face evidently meant that he had succeeded.

The sly grin on his face as he spoke and the mocking tone in his voice surely was indicating that he didn't believe her one bit. But Caroline was not going to falter. She had come too far from backing down now. She will survive and get out of this sticky situation that she got her self in the first place. Damn him and his beautiful eyes.

"You're a VAMPIRE", Caroline responded smirking as she watched the grin completely dropping off his face and being replace by a look of shock and disbelief.

A/N: So that was the second chapter. I'm sorry, I know that I took a long time to upgrade. Pretty sure most of you might have even forgotten about this story. With my college and online class and the fact that I was covid positive gave me no time to update. But I am all good now and ready to get back into this story or at least I Hope I can.

All that aside, how did you guys like this chapter?

And a major question for you guys, Would you want me to stay on canon or would it be okay if I go off canon?

By off canon I mean is that certain events which happen in the show will go randomly or I might even skip it, not sure yet. I will also introduced some new plotline and maybe some new characters as well, so tell me what you all think.

The next chapter or two will still focus on Damon and Caroline before I start other character interactions.
