Monday Night Raw

At Raw, the day went great. I was able to show the NXT talent around, took them to the back to the trucks so they could get the full experience, had them bump before the show with a couple of the vets and myself. I knew they were all excited to be there.

Kevin and Karina, KO's wife, came up to me with smiles and greeted me with hugs. Karina and I exchanged pleasantries. They truly were wonderful people.

"We're all going out tonight, you should join us." I looked at Kevin and scrunched my nose. "I don't know…" I said half-jokingly. "Or are you too corporate for us now," Kevin joked back to me.

I rolled my eyes and giggled, "who's all going," I looked around to see that none of my "corporate colleagues" were around.

"Basically the Indy crew. ROH is having a show in Fort Lauderdale, we all want to meet up, it's been awhile since we've seen each other." Karina touched my hand, "you should really come with us, please, I don't want to be the only girl there!" Her sweet voice and invitation made me melt.

"I feel like I'm not going to fit in! I'm not an Indy girl." It was true, I had made my career in the WWE since I was 18 years old. Almost 11 years later, I was still a staple in the WWE.

"Aww, you know we don't care. Just come have fun with us!" Kevin added on.

"Alright, alright, please stop begging, you're embarrassing me." I put my hand over my eyes, in a joking manner. Kevin and Karina laughed. Karina gave me a half hug and said "yay!"

"Alright, I'll see you guys later then! I started walking off in the opposite direction of them.

"Alright, we'll see ya!" I heard from behind me.

Later that night.

I looked at the pictures on my Instagram of my family scrolling by. I missed my family so much. I'd been in the WWE for 11 years, non-stop. It never got easy missing all the milestones; birthdays, Prom's, first steps, graduations. It never got any easier. My new role at NXT helped me to be able to see my family a lot more. I was so thankful for the opportunity. Suddenly, I heard a knock at my make-shift office door.

Karina walked in with a huge smile on her face, "are ya ready!?" she asked with anticipation. I smiled and giggled softly.

I grabbed my suitcase and walked towards her, "I'm coming, all set!" We walked to our cars together. We would all be driving to the hotel where we were going to be staying for the night and then Ubering to the main strip of Miami, where we would meet up with everyone else.

Karina, Kevin, Gargano, and Candace were in the main lobby area. There were a few faces that I recognized, but never had met.

Karina and Kevin walked up to me, followed my Karrion, Scarlette, and Candace. There were other WWE superstars that made their way to me as well. We all chatted for a few minutes while we waited for the others, all us girls gushing about each other's outfits. I wore a tight black dress that didn't leave much to the imagination.

We all walked out and piled into the Uber rides.

At the front of the first bar, we all stood and waited for a couple more people. I noticed a group of guys making their way towards us. I could hear Kevin, O'Reilly, and Gargano greeting the guys.

"Oh have you guys met yet?" Adam Cole said to me. He looked at me and then looked back at the girl next to him. "I don't think so, hi, I'm Lexi, you can call me Sassy." I shook a hand, in which she replied with a shy smile. "Hi, I'm Britt!" I smiled at her. She was very beautiful. I knew exactly who she was. I'd heard her name from Adam and from the Wrestling media outlets, touting her as one of the top women's wrestlers in the Indies.

"It's very nice to finally meet you Britt. I've heard a lot of great things about you," I said genuinely to her. "Thank you so much, that means the world to me!" Britt said, placing her other hand to her heart.

As a 12 time WWE Champion, it was very often that I heard that from up and coming pro-wrestlers. I definitely could feel that her words were genuine towards me.

Suddenly, I felt someone standing very close to me. It was a man with sideburns that I had scouted intently on the internet. Matt Jackson. He looked only at Adam, who returned the stare with a smile and a low handshake.

"Well look at this son-of-bitch who decided to come and see us!" Both men laughed and embraced. Adam quickly turned to me and said, "Sassy I want to introduce you to the greatest tag-team of all time! Matt and Nick Jackson, the Young Bucks. I'm sure we all know each other," Adam said with a sly tone to his words.

I looked at the two men in front of me. Nick's blue eyes and Matt's brown eyes looked at me with a smirk. I had never actually met the guys, only talked to them on the phone and exchanged a few texts with them. "Guys, it is finally nice to meet you." I shook both of their hands with a firm grip, never breaking the gaze from their eyes.

Nick spoke, "hey you too. Thank you for all the opportunities you've presented us with. I know we couldn't meet eye-to-eye on things, but it truly means a lot that you were interested in us." Matt added, "really, truly, Lexi. It does mean a lot that you wanted us in NXT. We've heard nothing but great things about you."

"Thanks guys. I do what I can to help. And when I see great talent, I do my best to get them to the best wrestling company in the world. But, I know I can't always get what I want. You guys really made me work for my money when I was trying to recruit you guys, I will say that. Maybe next time." I winked at both guys.

The Young Bucks smirked at me, "hey maybe!" Nick said.

"Or… maybe we'll just have to do better at recruiting you," Matt added.

"Maybe," I responded with a smirk back at them.

Adam continued introducing me to a few more of the guys before we even stepped foot in the bar. I met Adam "Hangman" Page, Kenny Omega, Chuck Taylor, the Gunn brothers, Darby Allin, and a few more. I had reconnected with some old friends in Chris Jericho, Christian, and Colt Cabana.

I was excited to be hanging out with this rowdy bunch!
