COUPLES

SINGLES
-Mike
The islanders all rushed to explore the place as soon as Jessica left, with Mike and Harvey occasionally stealing glances at each other when the other isn't looking. They explored the lobby, noticing the gorgeous ombré staircase that led to the dressing rooms which they would be using later that evening.
Just beside the staircase was a door which led to the huge bedroom where they would all be sleeping. They all hurried to see what it would be like.
The room was vibrant and spacious; however, the beds were around half a metre apart from each other, making sex at night near impossible or just plain awkward- not to mention the cameras scattered around every corner of the villa.
Mike, Rachel and Jenny all rushed to see how soft the beds would be, and ended up tangled and giggling in a pile of limbs. It seemed they were already starting to get along.
All over the walls and furniture were trendy phrases scrawled in neon writing or curved in LED lights, giving the place a modern and hip feel.
Each couple soon picked their beds, with Mike on his own bed until tomorrow when he would couple up. On the end was Tess and Zoe, then Trevor and Jenny, then Mike followed by Harvey and Scottie, and then Kyle and Rachel.
Soon after, their bags and suitcases were delivered by room service, and they were each given a phone which would be used strictly for texting within the villa, and they were fitted with waterproof microphones strung loosely around their necks.
The cameras weren't filming for now, so they were all given a couple of hours to unpack and familiarise themselves with the place and then filming would resume.
A few hours had passed and they islanders had all unpacked and had eaten lunch. They were expected to make their own lunches and breakfast in the outdoor kitchen, but dinner would be served to them by the villa's chef.
The islanders were now just relaxing on the day beds or sitting by the pool getting to know their couples.
Meanwhile, Mike was on the prowl, trying to figure out who he planned to take on his dates this evening.
The warm breeze rippled across the surface of the clear infinity pool where Mike, Rachel and Kyle were currently relaxing and getting to know each other.
They all took a moment to enjoy the gorgeous view whilst sitting with their feet dangling in the cool water.
"So, what do you both do for a living?" Rachel interrupts the silence.
"I do modelling as a side job but I'm planning to resume studying next year." Kyle says.
"Nice! What're you studying for?" Mike asks.
"I'm hoping to study the law but we'll see what happens."
"I envy you- I have a few side jobs but I'm currently not studying. Bike messenger, barista, test taker, you name it…" Mike says.
"Test taker? What do you mean exactly?" Rachel asks.
"Oh, well… I used to take the LSATs for people with my eidetic memory and all, but that's behind me now. I thought I'd enter Love Island to start fresh if you know what I mean?"
"Yeah I do." Kyle replies. "How about you, Rachel?"
"I'm a makeup influencer but I've done a small amount of modelling on the side. My dad's a lawyer though. Funny isn't it? Well, anyway, he initially didn't approve of my career and was less than thrilled to hear I was coming on Love Island. Thankfully he's okay with it now, but I just feel like I should be able to live my life ya know?"
Mike and Kyle both hummed in agreement and they carried on chatting for a bit.
Meanwhile, Harvey and Scottie were sitting on the sunbeds behind the pool and were flirting shamelessly.
"Quite the charmer, aren't you?" Scottie says, looking up at Harvey through her eyelashes seductively.
"You could call me that, yes." He replies with a wink.
Not long afterwards, they were making out passionately without a care for whoever might be watching.
"I would… say…. let's take… take this somewhere… more private..." Scottie begins, trying to catch her breath, "but there are cameras… virtually everywhere".
Harvey is biting on her neck, kissing his way downwards, until he hears a voice from across the villa.
"I got a texttt!"
Jenny and Trevor were lying lazily on the outdoor sofa with Zoe and Tess, until and distinct sound of a notification comes from one of their phones.
"Oh! It's mine!" Jenny says excitedly.
"Say it then!" Trevor says.
"Oh, right yeah!" she replies. Jenny then says in an over-the-top voice like she had heard on the TV from last year's Love Island: "I got a texttt!"
Everyone's heads whip round from all ends of the villa, and they gather around where they are seated.
"You can read it out now, hun!" Tess laughs jokily once they've all gathered around.
"Sorry! It says: 'It's time for an icebreaker. Gather around the firepit to play a game of truths. #thetruthisout #allisrevealed'"
