The life was peaceful again in the Pridelands since Simba took his rightful place as King 9 years ago. It was morning and the entire Pride was sleeping peacefully when a little figure bursted out of the Royal Den to gaze at the land before her reddish-brown eyes. The figure belonged to none other that Kiara , Simba's and Nala's daughter and so the future heir of the throne.
Kiara's pelt was of a more peach tone, like her father's, but her fur was tempered by the creamy hues of her mother's . As a result, she didn't carried a rich gold fur like her father's or grandfather's. Her muzzle, paws, and underbelly were all cream in color, while her tail tuft is creamy brown.
The little Lioness was about to go explore when someone called after her "Hey wait for us !" the Princess turned her head to see Jelani and Furaha , her cousins and playmate. Furaha had a brown-orange fur, a pink nose and a sand-colored underbelly , muzzle and paws she inherit from her mother Nuru. But unlike her mother, Furaha had the blue eyes of her father , Kibwe , Simba's brother.
Her brother Jelani was a carbon copy of their father but he inherited their mother's emeral green eyes. "Hey good morning guys !" Kiara welcomed them happily as they hugged each other "Let's go play !" Furaha inquired excitedly and her companions nodded in agreement. Kiara was the first one who started to jump...until someone picked her up by her neck. The figure in question then putted the Princess down before asking "Where do you think you're going in such a hurry ?" The figure was none other than Simba , King of the Pridelands.
"Hi Uncle Simba !" Jelani and Furaha said to the Red Maned Lion who nodded a greeting to them as he lifted Kiara with his left front-paw "Daddy ! Let go !" "Well...I just want you to be careful..." The King began to say as Kiara started to chase a moth. She was about to pounce when Simba putted a paw on her tail preventing her to do so "Kiara are you listening ? Accidents can happen...You could easily get hurt or-" As the King talked to his daughter, his niece and nephew were waiting patiently that he finished. Well...;Jelani was the one waiting patiently while his sister wanted nothing but to go NOW. They snickered when they saw the annoyance on their cousin's face as she recited all the rules her father taught her to be safe.
Suddenly someone else approached and nuzzled the two cubs from behind "Good morning you two~" Nala's voice cooed behind them and the two turned around to face the Queen who was watching them with a warm smile "Good Morning Auntie !" Jelani and his sister said at the same time as they looked at their aunt who smiled at them before approaching her husband and daughter "Mind you father Kiara !" The cream-colored Lioness said to her daughter who smiled at her "Yes Mom"
Then her father added " And stay away from the Outlands !" Zazu appeared and all cubs groaned : they all hated the King's majordomo ...he was annoying. The Hornbill was muttering something about Outsiders and Simba nodded "Zazu's right...You can't turn your back on them..." Furaha then stepped in with curiosity "Really ? How come Uncle Simba ?" The Red Maned Lion looked at the three cubs before sighing "Never mind... Just run along now you three !" "But Dad-" "You will understand what your father mean one day but not now little ones !" Another voice echoed not too far from them.
Simba , Nala , Jelani , Furahi and Kiara turned their head to see Kibwe stepping out of the Royal Den. "Good morning Brother " Simba said as he approached the White Lion before the two shared a hug. "Good morning to you all " Kibwe responded as his blue eyes gazed at everyone "Daddy !" Furaha and Jelani shouted as they jumped on their father , pressing their little bodies against his soft Mane , purring. Kiara looked at her Uncle with a titled head "Uncle Kibwe why we shouldn't turn our back when we saw an Outsider ?"
The White Lion looked at his niece with a smile "You will understand one day Kiara but not now...Now go away before I decided to have a early breakfast from you !" Kibwe said with a fake look of hunger on his face and the three cubs ran away , laughing. "And stay on the path I marked for you !" Simba shouted to them but it was mostly to his daughter who was the most adventurous one of the group. Furaha was adventurous as well but she knew how to control herself sometimes. Jelani , for his part, was entirely like his father when he had the same age. The White Lion cub was the protector of the group , ready to protect his family at all cost. Thanks to his father, he knew how to fight and hunt like his father before him did.
As the adults watched the three ran away, Nala looked at hr husband "Simba... Who does she remind you of ?" Kibwe grinned as he understood WHO she was referring. "Uh ? What ? Who ?" the Red Maned King asked with a raise-brow of confusion. "She's just like you when you were young !" The Queen responded as she pressed her head under his chin " Exactly ! Do you realize the dangers we put ourselves in ?" Suddenly, Simba found himself on his back as Nala pinned him without efforts "You mean the dangers YOU put us in !" As they nuzzled each other, Kibwe couldn't help but remarked teasingly "Even after all this time Simba, you can't still pin down your own mate... How pitiful..."
Nala giggled as her mate glared at his brother who only smiled innocently in response. "Good morning everyone~" A honey-like voice echoed and Nuru stepped in. Her brown-orange fur shined under the sun and her emerald eyes sparkled as she looked at them. "Good morning love~" Kibwe said back gently as the two nuzzled each other. Then Nuru asked "Have you seen the cubs ?" "Yes they went out to play..." "Without someone to look after them ?" Nuru asked her husband with concern "I don't think so..." The White Lion remarked as he looked at Simba who was talking to Timon and Pumbaa before the two ran away.
"Let me guess ...You sent those two after the cubs ?" Kibwe said with a grin and Simba nodded in agreement before the four of them started chatting.
Meanwhile, the cubs were chasing after a Moth. Jelani , being the cautious one of the group, kept watching around just in case while his sister and cousin were trying to catch the insect who soon landed on a rock. Kiara and Furaha ,at the same time, went into pouncing position before striking. Sadly, the Moth flied away and the two she-cubs' eyes widened when they saw the Outlands' border in the distance. "Whoaaaa..." They said at the same time while Jelani , who joined them, staid silent. He was curious too but the adults told him to not go there because it was dangerous and he promised to never go in the Outlands .
Then a rustling sound was heard behind them and the cubs turned their heads to face Timon and Pumbaa. However due to surprise , the two groups screamed fearfully to each other until Kiara took a few steps back...only to fall in a small pound of water. Jelani , Furaha , Timon and Pumbaa watched before the Warthog jumped "Don't worry Kiara ! Uncle Pumbaa's coming !" As the red Warthog disappeared underwater , Timon was frantic as he imagined talking to the King "Geez Simba the good news is we found your daughter ! The bad news is we drop a Warthog on her ! Is there a problem with that ?"
Pumbaa was sitting in the pound looking around "Kiara ?" "Pumbaa !" Timon called for his friend who up looked at him " Let me define...BABYSITTING !" The Red Warthog understood what the Meerkat meant and stepped back. Kiara appeared from under him , coughing water and breathing for air before glaring at Pumbaa who smiled sheepishly "Sorry... Now Princess Kiara ! As Simba's daughter , you know better than to go off by yourself ! You could have been hurt "
"We are here guys you know... " Furaha muttered as she watched the scene , sitting beside her brother. Timon was right now inspecting Kiara for any sight of injuries and the Princess was really annoyed. She tried to explain that being a Princess was only a part of what she was and when Pumbaa asked her what was the other part, she went silent. Then the two walked toward an Old Log and , after the Warthog lifted it, Timon picked up a leaf full of grubs on it before presenting it to Kiara "Ewww gross !"
Jelani too was making a face as well as his sister. Then suddenly, Timon and Pumbaa began ti argue about which type of bugs were the best "Slimy " "Crunchy " "Slimy " "Crunchy " "SLIMY !" "CRUNCHY !" Seeing an opportunity to escape, Kiara walked away silently before running away in the tall grasses quickly followed by Jelani and Furaha "Hey Kiara where are we going ?" The White Cub asked his cousin with a raise-brow "To the Outlands !" The Princess responded and Furaha squealed in excitedly "Are you crazy ?! If our parents find out , we will be in BIG trouble !" "Come on bro , don't be such a wimp ! It will be fun !" The White Lion cub seemed conflicted : he didn't wanted to disobeying his parents but he didn't want to let those two alone "Alright I will come along..." he muttered and the other smiled as they walked toward the border between Pridelands and Outlands.
Back at Priderock, Simba was talking with his brother along with Nala and Nuru. "Simba when did you plan to tell them about you-know-who ?" The White Lion inquired to her brother who sighed before replying "Not now...I don't want them to be scared..." "They will found out everntually" Nuru remarked in a soft tone and her husband nodded in agreement "The Sooner the better Simba ! " Nala said as she looked at the King with a frown.
The Red Maned Lion sighed deeply "Alright when they will come back we will tell them..." " Wise decision brother...for someone who can't handle his wife in fake fight~" Simba grumbled with annoyance when the Lionesses began to laugh along with Kibwe "Sometimes I DO hate you Kibwe..." The King remarked with a glare as the White Lion grinned deviously " But you could never hate me for long , right ?" "Touché" The King muttered when two voices echoed not too far from them. Everyone turned their heads to see Timon and Pumbaa running toward them.
The first thing Kibwe noticed was the alarmed look on the two's faces and he understood something was wrong "Timon ? Pumbaa ? What are you doing here ? You were supposed to watch the cubs ?!" Simba asked them with concern and a bit of anger " Simba ! Kibwe ! Please forgive us ! " The Meerkat was saying pleadingly and Nuru approached them with a frown "What happened ? Where are the cubs ?! " "Me and Timon looked away for a second and the cubs took the advantages to run away ! " The Warthog responded hesitantly.
Nala then asked "Where would they go ? We have to find them !" "Before we lost them, Kiara was looking at the Outlands with excitement " Pumbaa inquired softy but sadly everyone heard him "THE OUTLANDS ?! Are you sure ?!" Simba asked hurriedly with wide eyes of shock and when the Warthog nodded, the King looked at Nala , Nuru and Kibwe who nodded in response before the group of four dashed toward the Outlands at full speed , hoping their cubs were safe.
Kiara , Jelani and Furaha were on the Pridelands' side of the border along with a strange Outsider cub with auburn fur and a creamy brown underbelly . He also had a dark brown head tuft and emerald green eyes. A few minutes ago, the three Pridelanders cubs met these Outsider who instantly barred his teeth at them menacingly. Jelani had growled at him and as the two males cubs circled each other , the auburn cub said that White Lions were nothing but Freaks and not true Lions which Jelani shouted that having a mentality like this was only showing how stupid he was.
Then the Outsider , hauntingly, remarked that he could take care of himself but soon after, he and Kiara , which had climbed on some rocks in the middle of the river, had to face a Crocodile's attack. As they thought they were safe , more Crocodiles had appeared and the auburn cub tried to lead them away from Kiara while Jelani and his sister were on the log they traversed earlier. When the Outsider was about to get eaten by one of the Reptiles, Jelani stepped on its mouth before the two ran away to safety. Soon Kiara and Furaha joined them and together , they mocked the Crocodiles still trying to reach them but in vain.
" Whoah, man- did you see the size of those teeth? They were goin'" Kiara remarked as she rolled over on her back before laughing " He was just totally eatin' you up right there, and Jelani jumped on his head..." Furaha added as she looked at her brother with amazement causing the White Cub to look away in embarrassment.
Unknown to them all, a menacing figure was watching them from the grasses.
"We make such a good team! And you... you were really brave!" Kiara said as she looked at the auburn cub who looked at them all "Yeah... you were pretty brave too. My name's Kovu" the auburn cub presented himself " I'm Kiara and those two are my cousins : Jelani and Furaha !". The Princess said as she pointed at the White Cub and his sister respectively. Kovu looked at Jelani with a smile and a bit of shame "Thank you for saving me Jelani and... sorry about what I said earlier... Its just...what my mother taught me.." "Its okay I understand..." The White Cub said gently in response . Kovu smiled gratefully in response before Kiara batted him with her paw "Tag you're it !" the Princess said playfully and her cousins grinned in response as they waited for Kovu to act. But it never happen.
The auburn cub just stared at her with confusion "Hello? You run, I tag... get it? What's the matter? Don't you know how to play?" Kiara asked with a raise-brow. Jelani and Furaha watched in silence but quickly became playful when their cousin crouched down and goes back to playing his style, with bared teeth and growls. Kovu instantly got the idea and mocked-growls back when suddenly Simba himself appeared with a powerful roar.
Then in response, a grayish-tan Lioness appeared with a roar of her own. She had red eyes, black eyebrows, dark brown upper eye patches, and eyelids and white under patches, a black, pointy triangular nose, one notched ear, and a dark stripe down the center of her head. The two Adults glared at each other while the cubs watched the scene with wide eyes. "Zira " The King snarled in contained anger "Simba !" The Lioness , now know as Zira, grinned evilly as she looked ready to pounce.
But suddenly another roar echoed and Kibwe appeared flanked with Nala and Nuru who glared at Zira hatefully. Timon and Pumbaa were equally with them. Zira looked at the Queen with nonchalance "Nala..." "Zira..." Nala muttered in disgust as she glared at the most devoted of Scar's followers. Then the Evil Lioness looked at the White Lion with disgust "White Freak..." earning a challenging growl from Kibwe who snarled on her face.
"Timon, Pumbaa. Great. Now that we all know each other.. GET OUTTA OUR PRIDE LANDS! " The Meerkat shouted as he spoke to the Evil Lioness before him while riding on Pumbaa's head. "Your Pride Lands ?" Zira snarled angrily , making Timon leap backwards over Pumbaa's head fearfully. " These lands belonged to Scar !" The Evil Lioness spat at Simba who was looking at her coldly (like everyone else in fact..) "I banished you from the Pride Lands! Now you and your young cub... get out! " The Red Maned Lion snarled back at her at the end of his phrase.
However , the Lioness grinned as she circled the auburn cub " Oh... haven't you met my son, Kovu? He was hand-chosen by Scar to follow in his pawprints... and become King! " Zira explained evilly and Simba growled at the cub who shivered in fear under the King's hard gaze " That's not a king... that's a fuzzy maraca! " Timon scoffed and Kibwe couldn't help but chuckled at this testament.
" Kovu was the last born before you exiled us to the Outlands, where we have little food, less water... " The Evil Lioness explained softy but with an undertone of anger. Nuru looked at Kovu sympathetically as well as Nala but the Males were still glaring at Scar's follower "You know the penalty for returning to the Pride Lands! " Kibwe inquired with an icy glare. " But the child does not! However... if you NEED your pound of flesh... here~" Zira said as she nudged Kovu toward Simba who looked down at him with a frown. Kibwe glared at Simba hatefully and she grinned back in response "Take him and get out ! We're finished here..." The King said as he picked up Kiara by the neck.
But then Zira approached him and the White Lion tensed as he growled threateningly , silently challenging her to do something. But the Evil Lioness ognored him as she looked down at a terrified Kiara " Oh no, Simba... we have barely begun..." She glared wickedly at Kiara before turning around and picking up Kovu in her jaws. As the two group separated from each other, Kibwe picked up Furaha while Nuru picked up their son by his scruff. As they walked away, Kiara and Kovu looked at each other dangling "Bye..." Kiara whispered softy "Bye..." Kovu whispered back as his mother carried back to the Outlands.
Once within sight of Priderock, Kibwe and Nuru heard Nala's voice echoing "Simba ?" Everyone turned their heads to see that the King had stopped. Then they heard him clearing his throat with Kiara still dangling in his mouth. They all understood that it was time for The Talk so they all walked away to leave the King and the Princess alone. During all this time, Jelani had staid silent as well as his sister . In fact, they didn't wanted to make a sound no wanting to anger their parents more than they already were.
When everyone arrived at Priderock, Kibwe and his wife putted their charges down and Furaha looked up at them grinning ingratiatingly but they glared at her sternly. Jelani staid silent and looked up at them with sadness and shame. "What were you thinking you two ? You could have got killed !" Nuru shouted angrily at them and her mate nodded before adding "Did we taught you nothing ? We told you not to go there and yet you disobeyed us deliberately !" "We are really disappointed in you...both of you.." Nuru finished sternly.
The two cubs felt miserable right now but Furaha suddenly said in a soft voice " Jelani tried to stop us from going there...but we didn't listen to him... I called him a wimp..." Kibwe and Nuru looked angrily at their daughter who shrank back in fear under their hard gazes "You did WHAT ?!" Nuru yelled angrily. Jelani then stepped between them "Its not her fault ! Its mine too...I should have insisted... I know I promised to not go there Mom but...I couldn't let my sister and cousin go there alone..." His explanation caused his father to smile as his heart was filled with Proud. Before Nuru could retort , the Adult White Lion said gently " Your love for your sister and cousin is strong son and I understand you want to be there for them...but next time they planned something, come get us !"
Jelani nodded in understanding and then Kibwe looked at his daughter who was looking down in shame "And you Furaha... You are our daughter and we only want to see you and your brother safe and unharmed. I won't tolerate having you calling your brother a 'wimp' I am clear ?" "Yes Daddy I'm sorry..." The little blue-eyed she-cub whispered softy before their parents pulled them into a hug , purring.
"We are grounded right Mom ?" Jelani asked his mother as a matter of fact "Yes you are ! " this answer earned a groan from both cubs. Later , Simba came back quickly followed by Kiara who seemed deflected as well. Nala was sitting beside Nuru and Kibwe while Jelani and Furaha were between their parents. The Princess walked over and stopped in front of her mother who licked her forehead gently as Simba crouched down near them. "Uncle Simba ? Who was this strange Lioness ?" Furaha asked the Red Maned Lion with curiosity.
Every adults tensed at the question but soon the King sighed before answering " It was Zira...Scar's most devoted follower... She was banished along with some Lionesses to the Outlands after they refused to consider me as their King..." "But why ?" Kiara asked with confusion but before her father could reply, Kibwe stepped in " Zira is a mad Lioness who think Scar was the one true King of the Pridelands which he wasn't of course ! When Simba took back his throne after defeating Scar , she accused him of to have murdered Scar and she tried to kill him..."
All cubs gasped in shock before Simba added " The attack took me off guard and Kibwe pushed her away from me...When Zira got up , she attacked me again and we fought. As you have guessed I won and Zira was exiled after that" The cubs stood there in silence. Then Kiara asked "Daddy why Scar was so mean and cruel ?" It was Nala who responded " Scar always wanted to be King... When Mufasa was chosen years ago, Scar developed a strong hatred toward his older brother and became even more furious when Simba was born... He later planned a stampede in the gorge and used Simba as a bait to lure Mufasa in and then got the two of them killed..."
"Uncle Simba didn't know about Scar's plans ?" Furaha asked them with a titled head and Simba responded by saying "I was a bit naive back there... " " A bit ?" Nala asked with a playful raise-brow and her husband groaned "Alright I was REALLY naive around my Uncle... He told me my father had a big surprise in the gorge so of course I didn't think it was suspicious". Kibwe and Nuru were chuckling at the little scene before them while the cubs were still looking at them with wide eyes "And what happened Grandfather Mufasa entered the gorge ?" Kiara asked with curiosity.
Everyone staid silent a moment until Simba responded "He managed to save me but...he didn't make it...thanks to Scar. As he climbed the wall, he asked his brother for help but Scar pushed him back in the gorge to his fate... " Then he told them about how Scar brainwashed him by saying he saw responsible for his father's death. The Red Maned told them about his errancy in the Desert until he was saved by Timon and Pumbaa who taught him about the joys of Hakuna Matata.
"During my second day with them, we got to meet Kibwe who had the same age that me at the time and him and I became really good friends... before becoming brothers" Simba said with a smile as he looked at the White Lion who smiled back at him "We weren't brothers by Blood but it doesn't mattered to us !" Kibwe said gently before chuckling "We were living happily until a certain Lionss decided to broke our peaceful life~" The White Lion said with a grin as he eyed Nala pointedly. Simba chuckled as well "Yeah she tried to eat Pumbaa and then she and I got into a fight..." "And he got pinned down by her" Kibwe added with a grin before earning a glare from his brother and a laugh from everyone.
"I was happy to see Simba again after years of believing he was dead ! I tried to persuade him to come back to Pridelands but he stubbornly refused to return so he got into an argument..." Nala began to explain before stopping for a second " Then Kibwe went to talk to him and he successfully manage to knot some sense into this stupid furball !" Simna glared at his mate this time and was about to retort when Kibwe interrupted him "I wasn't the one who knot some sense into him but I contributed... Anyway then we all came back to Pridelands and we were shocked to find how desolated it was ! No Herds , no water, no plants...Everything was dead..."
Kiara and her cousins couldn't believe what they heard and staid silent " Simba went to confront his Uncle and when Scar tried to taunt him about what happened in the gorge , Kibwe confronted the False King. After that, Scar confessed he was the one who killed Mufasa and a terrible fight took place between us and Scar's Hyenas..." Nala explained softy and Nuru resumed " During the fight, I was almost killed by some Hyenas but someone saved me..." "Who Mama ?" Jelani asked with wide eyes
The Brow-Orange Lioness with green eyes looked fondly at her mate and they nuzzled each other. " Daddy saved you ?!" Furaha asked her mother with shock "He did ! And it was at this moment, we fell in love for each other..." "Even if you took AGES to admit it to each other~" Simba replied with a grin earning a glare from both Kibwe and Nuru.
With a giggle, Nala looked back at the cubs "Simba managed to defeat his Uncle and took his rightful place as King. He presented Kibwe to the Pride and told everyone about his brother's past. Sarabi , may she rest in peace, decided to adopt Kibwe despise his age as her own. Simba appointed him as his second-in-comment after that. Later, I gave birth to you Kiara and Nuru gave birth to Jelani and Furaha~" Nala said the last part with a warm smile , remembering the day she gave birth to her beloved daughter.
"We gave birth at the same time Nala remember !" Nuru shimmed in and the two Lionesses giggled. The cubs were completely in awe about what they just learnt when then they remembered a detail Nala had said "Auntie ? You said Uncle Simba told the Pride about Daddy's past...What do you meant ?" Furaha asked with a curious look on her face "Yes what do you mean Mom ?" Kiara asked her mother equally curious. Jelani , despise his curiosity, staid silent.
Simba , Nala and Nuru looked at the White Lion with a sad frown as he sighed deeply in sadness "When I was a cub , I lost my entire family because of Hyenas...I ran away for days... wandered the Desert without food or water... But then I encountered Simba , Timon and Pumbaa and my life was better..." Furaha approached her father before pressing herself against his chest and the White Lion purred as he nuzzled her. Jelani came over as well and did the same that his sister. "I still miss my birth Pride but now I am happy again : thanks to you Simba , Nala and you as well my love~"
Nuru purred and pressed her head against his cheek which he happily returned. "Alright everyone. Its time to sleep !" Simba announced and all the Pride entered the Royal den to enjoy a peaceful night. Kiara snuggled between her parents while her cousins were doing the same with Nuru and Kibwe. "Goodnight " The Princess said as she yawned softy "Goodnight Princess~" Her parents responded softy at the same time before nuzzling her gently and falling asleep. Furaha was against her father's mane while Jelani was against his mother's belly already asleep.
Kibwe looked at his mate who smiled lovingly at him before the two shared one last nuzzle before joining their children and Pride into dreamland.
The time passed and the Pridelands was still peaceful and full of life. 10 years had passed since the last encounter with Zira and the entire Pride was reunited at Priderock. Today was a special day for Furaha and Kiara : it was their first hunt ! When the now , young adult Lionesses approached their parents , the Pride encouraged them. Jelani was sitting beside his parents , looking at his sister with proud. He was now a young Lion with a large mane. He was the perfect copy of his father except the eyes.
Nuru and Nala approached their daughters and gently embraced them "You will do just fine~" Nala said to Kiara who looked at her father seriously "Daddy ? You have to promise me to let me do this on my own ! Promise ? " Simba looked at Nala , unsure about this. When the King looked at him with amused raise-brows , the King sighed deeply " Alright... I promise..." then father and daughter cuddled each other.
Furaha was with her father and brother who looked at her encouragingly " You can do it sister" "Thank you brother" The Brown-Orange Lioness with blue eyes thanked her brother before looking at her father who was smiling "I'm proud of you, my daughter" "Thank you Daddy I won't disappoint you " "I know~" the two embraced each other before Furaha and Kiara ran away to find their future preys. The Pride returned into the Royal Den when Kibwe noticed that Simba was secretly talking with Timon and Pumbaa.
The White Lion rolled his eyes at his brother's over-protectiveness and walked toward him as his Meerkat and Warthog friend ran away after the two Lionesses. "Brother you promised !" Kibwe said to his brother who sighed before responding "I know I did but I'm worried..." "I know you are but if she discover that you broke your promise...She won't forgive you..." Simba sighed as he walked away. Kibwe was about to follow when he saw his son sneaking away "Jelani where do you think you are going ?" His son looked at him "Father I wanted to watch them hunt !" "Alright son go and stay out of sight unless its necessary !" " Understood ! Thank you Dad !" "Anytime no GO !" Jelani didn't needed to be told twice and ran away after his sister and cousin while his father chuckled as he walked toward the Royal Den.
Meanwhile, Furaha and Kiara were tracking a herd of antelopes when the Princess walked on a twig which cracked loudly alerting the herd who ran away. Kiara chased after them unaware that something was happening in the abandoned Elephant Graveyard. Furaha then helped Kiara to chase the antelopes when familiar yells echoed. Approaching , she saw Kiara fuming over Timon and Pumbaa who looked at the Princess sheepishly. "My father sent you ! After he promised to let me do this on my own ! He lied !" "No ! He just doesn't want you to get hurt !" Timon tried to calm her but it was in vain "I should have know he would never give me a real chance..." Then the Princess jumped away and as she ran away she said "I'll do this on my own...away from the Pridelands !" Furaha sighed and glared at Timon and Pumbaa before following her cousin. Jelani had saw and heard everything . The young White Lion ran quietly after his cousin and sister without being noticed despise his white fur.
She found her stalking the same herd of antelope from earlier and she approached her gently. Kiara tensed when she heard someone behind her but calmed down when she saw it was her cousin who smiled at her before they looked back at the herd who suddenly ran away. Kiara chased after them as did her cousin ...only to gasp in horror when they saw a fire in the distance and the herd heading to them ! "RUN !" Kiara ordered as she and Furaha tried to escape.
At the same time, Simba couldn't stop pacing and Kibwe was trying his best to calm his brother "Simba ! Kiara and Furaha would be fine ! Stop worrying so much !" Simba didn't listen and then glanced briefly at the horizon before stopping dead in his track with horror in his eyes. Looking at the horizon, he saw smokes ! " No...No !KIARA !" As the King rushed down Priderock , he yelled "Zazu fly ahead !" Kibwe too noticed the fire and followed his brother , now worried for his daughter and niece.
Simba passed near the Lionesses and ordered without looking at them "FIND THEM !" The Pride separated to find Kiara and Furaha. Nuru and Nala ran alongside Simba and Kibwe , worried for their babies.
At the same time, Furaha and Kiara were trapped. All around them, they was nothing but fire. The smokes started to burn their lungs which caused them to cough loudly "FURAHA ! KIARA ! OVER THERE !" Someone called after them. The two Lionesses looked around before spotting Jelani on a tall rock looking at them worriedly "HERE QUICK !" The two ran toward the rock and Furaha was the first one to jump. She managed to grad the edge when Jelani lowered his head down to pick up by the scruff of her neck , pulling her toward safety while Kiara attempted to jump as well. The Princess almost fell, but managed to climb just before passing out.
Jelani , who putted her sister down , looked at his cousin with a worried expression. Now he had a problem : he had two ins-conscious Lionesses to carry on his own ! Suddenly, a figure approached him : it was another young Male Lion with green eyes. He was familiar to Jelani and the young White Lion eyed him carefully : this Lion had an auburn fur and a creamy brown underbelly . He also had a dark brown mane and emerald green eyes. Jelani's eyes widened when he recognized this Lion "Kovu ?!" The auburn male looked at him and his eyes widened as well "Jelani ?! " "Kovu help me get them to safety ! Please !" "Alright let's go !" Kovu said as he bragged Kiara before putting her on his back while Jelani was doing the same with his sister.
Then the two Males ran through the fire before jumping to a nearby lake. Zazu was flyign not too far from there when he spotted the four "I must tell Simba !" the Hornbill said hurriedly as he flied away while Kovu and Jelani were putting their charges on the shores. Kiara coughed up before asking weakly "Where I am ?" "You're safe ! In the Pridelands !" Kovu responded as he gazed at the Princess while Jelani was looking at his sister who was just starting to get up "Are you alright sis ?" "I am okay...Thank you brother ! But what were you doing around ?" "Well..." Jelani began to say before his attention turned toward Kovu and Kiara who were arguing.
"Who is this ?" Furaha asked with a growl and Jelani looked at her "Don't you recognized him ? I know its been years but still..." The Brown-Orange Lioness with blue eyes inspected the other Male with sharp eyes and soon she recognized him as well "Kovu ?" The say Lion looked at her "Good to see you two Furaha !" Kiara watched with wide eyes as she looked at the auburn male "Kovu ?" When the say Lion smiled in response, another voice echoed "KIARA !".
Everyone turned around to see Simba who roared angrily at Kovu when Kibwe , Nala and Nuru approached. Kibwe stood with his brother , glaring at the strange male before him while the Lionesses were approaching their cubs "Kiara ! You are alright..." Nala said as she nuzzled her daughter while Nuru was cuddling BOTH Jelani and Furaha "Father how could you break your promise ?!" Kiara shouted to her father who was still glaring at Kovu with hostility "Its a good thing I did ! I almost lost you...No more hunts for you not ever !" The King declared at he glanced at his daughter.
Kibwe was still glaring at the auburn Male who glared back at him but he managed to hear Kiara's answer "But me and Furaha were doing just fine ! Even before Jelani and Kovu-" "KOVU !" Simba and Kibwe said angrily at the same time before the three Males roared at each other. Kovu tried to look intimidating but he could help but fell weak : he knew he couldn't win a fight with TWO full grown Male adults.
Rafiki then appeared "Hey you ! How dare you saves the King's daughter ?" the Mandrill asked Kovu where he was. Simba looked at the auburn with an angry frown "You saved her ? Why ?" Kovu responded softy "I humbly ask to join your Pride..." "NO ! You were banished with the other Outsiders !" "I have left the Outsiders ! I am a rogue...Judge me now for who I am ! Or I am to be blamed for a crime I didn't commit ?" Kibwe listened carefully as his brother paced angrily. The White Lion had to admit Kovu was right : he wasn't responsible for Scar's schemes.
"Yes Sire... Clearly we are in his debt ! And royal protocol demands that all debts must be paid ! But in this case, you might want to make an exception!" Zazu said as he looked at the King before glaring at Kovu. Simba then looked back at the auburn Lion before saying "My father's laws will prevail... For now I reserve judgment ! We'll see who you really are..." Then he walked away. Kovu grinned at Kiara and Nala before following Simba...but not before being stopped by Kibwe "I warn you Kovu : Try anything against my brother or the Pride , and Simba would be the least of your problems ! Understood ?" Kovu quickly nodded in understanding and watched as the Great White Lion walked away.
Zira had told him about this Lion's strength and he knew he shouldn't anger him before he got the chance to kill Simba. With a sigh and a hidden smirk, the auburn Male followed the group to Priderock. When they finally arrived it was the night and Kovu was about to enter the Royal Den was Simba stopped him with a growl. The auburn male watched as the King entered the den and was soon followed by Kibwe who glanced at Kovu but said nothing. Nuru entered the den after her husband without looking at the Dark brown Maned Lion. Jelani and his sister entered the den after their parents after giving a reassuring smile to him.
Kovu had no choice but to sleep outside but then Kiara approached him " Hey ! Thanks for saving me today..." " What kind of hunter are you anyway Princess ? You almost got killed yourself out there !" Kovu remarked as he slowly got up. "What ?" "You wouldn't last days on your own..." Kou responded nonchalantly "Oh ? And I suppose YOU could teach me" She said with a grin "Oh yeah... " Kovu responded with a smirk on is own "KIARA !" Simba called for his daughter from the Royal Den. "Coming ! "Kiara responded to her father before looking back at Kovu with a grin . She stepped in front of the auburn male before saying "Alright ! Impress me ! We start at dawn !" Kiara then entered the Royal Den while Kovu curled around himself falling asleep.
The next day, Kiara went with Kovu to start their 'Hunting Lessons'. She asked Furaha and Jelani to leave them be for a while. The two were currently with their parents at the Watering Hole "Kovu had sure grown a lot since the last time we saw him !" Furaha remarked as she talked to her brother " Yes he did ! He must be thinking the same about us !" Jelani responded to his sister with a smile.
Kibwe, who was sitting near them, sighed as he closed his eyes. He was TOTALLY against the idea of having Kovu with them : after all he was Zira's son and only the Great Kings of the Past knew what this twisted Lioness had put into his head. Nuru , for her part, was not entirely against the idea of having this stranger around. After all, it would be good to their children to have someone of their age around.
Then she noticed her husband's face and asked concernedly "Are you alright love ?" "Hum ? Oh don't worry honey I am fine I was thinking about...you-know" The Brown-Orange Lioness with green eyes sighed before saying "I know hun but look at the bright side : our children would have a new friend and I think Kiara is taking a real interest in Kovu if you know what I mean~" The White Lion sighed "I know and I hope Simba didn't notice the way Kiara looked at him...He would have a Heart Attack !" "Yes but he had to learn Kiara is a not a cub anymore ! She can take care of herself !"
"I know she can thank you !" Kibwe and Nuru turned their heads to see Simba approaching them . Nala then came over "Nuru can you come hunt with me ?" "Of course see you later love~" the Green eyed Lioness cooed to the White Lion who nuzzled her lovingly before the two Lionesses ran away with some others. Kibwe then looked at his brother who crouched next to him "Nuru is right ! I know its hard to see your children grew up but you can't do anything about it... " "I know brother I know but I miss the time she was still small and defenseless... I feel...useless and empty..." Kibwe pulled his brother into a hug like they always did in the past to comfort each other "I understand the feeling brother...I feel the same way toward Jelani and Furaha but I know that they will always need me even if they are big enough to take care of themselves !"
Simba then broke the hug before looking at his brother "Thank you Kibwe...You always knew what to say..." "Daddy is right we will always need you~" The two Males turned their heads to see Furaha and Jelani approaching them. It was Furaha who talked as she pressed her head against her father before her brother took her place. Then the Brown-Orange with blue eyes approached her uncle and hugged him which the King returned happily. Then Jelani approached the King before giving him a hug of his own.
"Thank you kids ! I feel better now !" The two seemed pleased as they walked away. After that, Simba and Kibwe chatted about others things and even about things of the past especially the pranks they did to Timon causing them both to laugh at the memory of the Meerkat's face every time he got pranked.
It was the night in Pridelands . Kiara , Kovu , Jelani and Furaha were stargazing together. "Oh Look ! There's one that look like a baby rabbit ! See the fluffy tail ? " Kiara remarked as she looked at the stars "Yeah...there's one that looks like two lions killing each other for a scrap of meat !" Kovu said as he pointed at the sky. Jelani looked at him "Nice one Kovu " The auburn Lion grinned at him "I've never done this before " Kovu admitted as he looked back at the stars. " Really ? My father and I used to do this all the time" Kiara explained as she looked at the sky as well.
"Us too !" Jelani and Furaha responded at the same time and everyone laughed. "He always says that the Great Kings of the Past are up there " Kiara added after a moment. Then Kovu asked something that shut them up "Do you think Scar's up there ?" Suddenly, he got up earning a look of confusion from everyone. Kovu sat not too far from them looking down in sadness "He wasn't my father but he was still part of me..." Kiara approached him gently "My father said there was a darkness in Scar that he couldn't escape" "There's a darkness in me too..." Kovu whispered when Jelani and his sister approached them.
Suddenly, Kiara pressed her head against Kovu's and the auburn Lion relaxed as he enjoyed the moment while Jelani and Furaha watched them with a smile. They didn't noticed that Simba was nearby , watching them. " Father... I am lost... Kovu is one of them...Scar's heir... How can I accept him ?" the Red Maned Lion asked softy as he looked at the stars hoping Mufasa would answer him.
"Simba ?" "Brother ?" Two voices called him and he turned his head to see Nala and Kibwe amking their way toward him before sitting at each side of the King. "I was seeking counsel from the Great Kings " He explained to them softy "Did they help ," Nala asked him gently " Silent as Stars... My father would never-" The Queen interrupted him by saying "Oh Simba... you want so much to walk the path expected of you ! Perhaps Kovu does not..." What ? How do you know it ?" Simba asked her with wide eyes and she looked at him still gently
"I can see them down there just as easily as you can ! Get to know him and see~" With that said, she left. Kibwe had staid silent during the while time and Simba looked at him "What do you think I should do brother ?" The White Lion sighed "To be honest, she is right... We can't judge Kovu because he is Scar's heir...Knowing him would help us see who he really is..." The King nodded and staid silent as he got up and walked away. Kibwe looked at the little group of young adults and smiled before following his brother to the way to Priderock.
At the same time, Kovu pulled himself away from Kiara who seemed surprised "What's wrong ?" the Princess asked gently and he responded "Nothing..." "Kovu ?" "Its just that my whole life I've been trained to... Ah Nothing...I gotta go !" the auburn Lion said as he walked away. Jelani , Kiara and Furaha looked at each other before approaching Kovu "Kovu wait !" The auburn Lion looked back at them to see the sadness in Kiara's reddish-brown eyes. Kovu sighed and tried to walk away but then a finger appeared out of nowhere "And where are you goin ?"
Then it disappeared leaving Kovu confused about the situation "huh... nowhere..." " Suddenly Rafiki appeared in front of him "HA Thats what you think !" the Monkey disappeared. Kovu looked around saying loudly "Who is that ?" Kiara , Jelani and Furaha approached him " Friend of the family..." The Princess responded when suddenly everyone saw the Old Mandrill on Kovu's back "Come on ! You follow Old Rafiki ! He know the way hehehe" the Monkey said crazily as he pulled on the auburn Male's tail before running away. "The way to where ?" Kovu asked his friends who shrugged before running after the Mandrill.
Soon the four young adults arrived at a beautiful place with a waterfall. Then the Mandrill started to sing 'Upendi'.

During the song, Jelani and his sister felt a bit...out of place. The two siblings knew their cousins was in love with Kovu so it was understandable that this song would be for them. But Jelani and Furaha were singles. They didn't have a mate . However Rafiki looked toward them with a grin before approaching them "Come one you two join us !" "Why ? We didn't have a girlfriend ! " the siblings responded at the same time. With a grin, the Monkey pointed at something in the distance and they looked over to see 2 Lionesses !
The two strangers were absolutely beautiful : one of them had gold fur and beautiful sky blue eyes while the other one had equally a gold fur but darker (not as much as Simba thought) and pale green eyes . The siblings were completely in awe and Furaha was shocked about Rafiki knowing her secret : she never was interested in having a MALE mate. Yes she was homosexual. Only her mother , brother , Aunt and Kiara were aware of it and she didn't how this Mandrill knew about this !
The Monkey in question seemed to know what she was thinking and laughed "I saw the way you look at the others Lionesses in the Pride so it was not difficult to put two and two together ! " The Brown-Orange Lioness with Blue eyes blushed madly before approaching the two strangers along with her brother.
As they approached the two beautiful Lionesses looked at them with a warm smile "Hello there I'm Nyota and this is my sister Ayana ~" the Dark-Gold Lioness with green eyes said gently as she presented herself and her sister who nodded at them gently. " I am Jelani and this is my sister Furaha" the Green-eyed young White Lion said with some timidity earning a giggle from the others two. "Its a pleasure to meet you both~" Ayana said as she eyed Jelani seductively earning a blush from the White Lion.
Nyota , for her part, approached Furaha who was acting rather shyly until the dark-golden Lioness with green eyes whispered in her ear "You are really sexy you know~" Furaha blushed madly but she managed to respond back "You are really beautiful yourself Nyota~" With a purr, the two cuddled each other while Ayana was seductively pressing her head agaisnt Jelani's white mane.
Kiara and Kovu were watching the two from a hill not too far. The Princess was happy that her cousins got to find a mate like she did and she pressed her head against Kovu's brown mane. This night was truly perfect.
When the group returned to Priderock, it was past the middle of the night. However, they weren't only Jelani , Kovu , Kiara and Furaha but also Nyota and her sister ! The two beautiful Lionesses were invited by Kiara to join the Pride after she told them who she was along with Jelani and Furaha. Of course, the two sisters were both shocked and excited : shocked because they never thought that they would met King Simba's daughter , niece and nephew and excited because they would finally join a Pride.
The two sisters' story wasn't a happy one : they were chased from their home by a rogue who killed their father. He wanted to abuse them but they escaped and he swore that if he ever saw them again he would kill. Of course our friends were shocked by the news and promised the two that everything would be fine.
However, Jelani decided until tomorrow to present Nyota and Ayana to the Pride as they would without doubting asleep right now. So he and Furaha , after saying Goodnight to Kiara and Kovu , leaded them to a large cave near Priderock where they could sleep together.
The Princess and her lover made their way to Priderock before stopping at the entrance of the Royal Den. The two nuzzled each other one more time "Goodnight " Kovu whispered to his love who whispered back "Goodnight~" before separating each other. While Kiara entered the cave , Kovu went to the rock he slept against last night. But unknown to the two, someone was watching them. It was Simba. The Red Maned Lion looked at Kovu then at Kiara before approaching the younger male Lion with a smile. The auburn Lion saw a shadow and looked up to see Simba smiling at him " Its kinda cold tonight huh ? Come on in..." the King said gently. Kovu got up and followed after the King as the two entered the den.
The next day, Kibwe woke up with his mate and the two were shocked to not find their children in the den along with Simba and Kovu. Thankfully Nala was there "Nala where is Simba and Kovu ?" Kibwe asked her calmly "Simba decided to give Kovu and chance so he took him alone for a patrol" the Queen responded gently and Nuru asked "Where are our children ?" Nala was about to respond when Jelani's voice echoed "Mom ? Dad ? Can you come out please ?"
Kibwe , Nuru and Nala looked at each other with raise-brow before stepping out of the cave to see Jelani , Furaha and Kiara...along with two strangers ! But before the adults could say something, Jelani stepped in "Mom...Dad...Aunt Nala...I am honored to present you Nyota and her sister Ayana" the Golden sisters bowed in front of them respectfully which caused the adults to calm down a bit.
"Its a pleasure to meet you Nyota and Ayana ! I'm Nala , Queen of the Pridelands~" Nala said with a warm smile. The White Lion looked at the two Lionesses with a soft smile "I am Kibwe , brother of King Simba and his second-in-command and this is Nuru , my wife~" Nuru nuzzled her husband before looking at the two warmly "My , you two are absolutely gorgeous ! I assume you are Jelani's and Furaha's mate~"
When their children nodded with a smile , Kibwe looked at his mate questioningly and she seemed to know what he was gonna ask because she said "Furaha confessed to me that she wasn't interested in boys but in girls... She told me and Nala to keep it a secret because we weren't sure about how you would react..." The White Lion looked at everyone present with wide eyes and soon looked at the Golden Sisters who seemed nervous.
Then to everyone's surprise, he laughed loudly "I should have guessed ! I noticed the way our daughter looked at the other Lionesses !" Furaha , hearing this , blushed madly but soon asked "Daddy ? You accept my relationship with Nyota ?" Kibwe looked at his children with nothing but pure fatherly love "Of course I do ! As long as you are both happy, I'm fine with that !" Squealing happily, Furaha embraced her father and Jelani did the same to his mother and both parents returned the gesture before looking at their daughters-in-laws "Come over there you two ! You are family now~" Nuru cooed to the Golden Sisters who slowly approached them embracing their new family. Nala and Kiara watched the scene with a warm smile and Kiara left Priderock along with Timon, Pumbaa and Zazu while Kibwe and Nuru got to know their new daughters-in-laws.
Kiara was still walking with her companions when they spotted something in the distance. Coming closer, the Princess gasped in shock when she recognized the muscular body of her father and he seemed in pain. "Father ! Zazu get help !" While the Bird flied back to Priderock, Kiara approached her father along with Timon and Pumbaa who were concerned for their friend "Simba ! Talk to me ! What happened ? " the Meerkat asked with wide eyes. Simba breathed deeply for a second before saying as best as he could "Kovu ! Ambush..." then he collapsed on his side. Kiara watched her father with shock "No..." she whispered in denial. Kovu couldn't have done this ! It cannot be true !
" Its alright buddy we're here for you..." Timon said as he and Pumbaa lifted Simba from the ground before carrying him. Suddenly, many footsteps approached them and Kiara looked up to see Kibwe, Nuru , Nala , Jelani , Furaha , Nyota , Ayana and Zazu.
Jelani and his sister gasped in shock when they saw their Uncle and Nala approached Simba along with Nuru and Kibwe who looked at his brother with horror "Simba , brother what happened ? Who did this to you ?" It was Pumbaa who responded "He said 'Kovu ' and "Ambush' before collapsing ". Kibwe looked at his brother in pain for a second before roaring in pure anger causing everyone to flinch in fear. Only Nala and Nuru had saw him in an anger state years ago. But this time , his rage was FAR worse because a loved one was hurt "WHERE IS HE ?! I WILL MAKE SURE HE PAY FOR THIS ! I WILL KILL HIM !" The White Lion roared in rage until Nuru nuzzled him comfortingly "Kibwe please calm down let's carry Simba back to Priderock first ! We will deal with Kovu later!"
Kibwe stood there , taking a few more breaths but eventually calmed down as he picked up his brother effortlessly before putting him on his back. Then the group walked back to Priderock fast enough to be there but not enough to aggravate Simba's state . Kiara was still thinking about what just happened : Kovu couldn't have betrayed her ...He couldn't have... Jelani and Furaha were at lost of words. Their new-found mates were trying to comfort as best as they could , saddened by the broken look on their faces. The group walked silence toward Priderock thinking about Kovu's betrayal.
Time and the new about Kovu leading the King into a trap spread like a Wildfire. Now all Animals of the Pridelands were gathered around Priderock as everyone was concerned about the condition of their king, who was trying to recover from the ambush. After she heard about what happened in the gorge, Kiara tried to convince her father that there must be a mistake, as Kovu could not possibly be involved in the attempt to kill him.
Right now, Simba was standing at the edge of Priderock flanked by his Brother who staid close to him just in case. Nala and the rest of the Pride including Nyota and Ayana , who had been allowed to stay by Simba who got to meet them despise his injuries. Suddenly, one word echoed from the gathered Animals around Priderock. "Kovu".
The herds separated to let the auburn young Lion reach the bottom of Priderock. Lionesses wereblocking his way to reach Kiara as she cheered his name. Simba blocked her way growling angrily before looking down at Kovu as did his brother who was giving the younger Lion an icy glare that sent chills down everyone's chills.
"Why have you come back ?" Simba asked Kovu with a glare as the younger Lion looked at him pleadingly "Simba I have nothing to do with..." Kovu began to say before Kibwe snarled "You don't belong here !" " Please I ask for forgiveness..." Kivu tried desperately to convince them of his innocence. "Daddy please listen to him..." Kiara inquired pleadingly to her father who looked at her sternly "Silence !" he told her before looking back at Kovu " When you first came here, you asked for judgment and I pass it now..."
The herds began to ask what what the King's decision when the Red Maned Lion suddenly said in a loud and angry tone " EXILE !" "NO !" Kiara said in shock as the herds began to drive Kovu away and some Lionesses blocked Kiara when she tried to reach the auburn Male.

While the herds left, Kibwe watched as the traitor was running away from the Pridelands then he heard Kiara begging her father to reconsider his decision but Simba told only told her that she wouldn't go anywhere without an escort from now on. "No that's not..." Kiara began to say before her father cutted her "He used you to get to me !" "No , he loves me ! For me !" "Because you are my daughter , you'll not leave Priderock. You will stay where I can keep an eye on you away from him !" "But you don't know him !" Kiara said at the verge of tears.
" I know he's following in Scar's paw-prints and I must follow my in father's..." The King said calmly. "You'll never be Mufasa !" Kiara replied loudly and Simba froze in shock as she turned away to run into the cave. The Red Maned Lion looked completely shocked by his daughter's testament and his brother nudged him gently "She didn't thought what she said brother... Let's just give her some space... She will calm down eventually" The King nodded before the two left to be sure Kovu wasn't in the Pridelands anymore. Nuru and Nala decided to let Kiara alone as they walked away. Jelani , Furaha , Nyota and Ayana were conflicted about what to do but soon agreed that Kiara needed some time alone so they left her be unaware that she escaped.
Later, it was raining in the Pridelands. Jelani , his sister and their mates entered the Toyal Den only to find Timon and Pumbaa arguing to each other. Then footsteps caught their attention and they turned their heads to see Simba and Kibwe shaking their manes to get rid of the water. Then the two Males noticed Timon and Pumbaa's behavior and looked at the young ones with a raise-brow. When the group shrugged, Simba asked the arguing duo "What are you doing ?" They instantly stopped fighting and faced the group . Timon said that it was a good question and decided to ask the King a hypothetical question.
"There's a guy..." "Who is not a Lion" "Definitely not a Lion and his daughter says...Vanished..." Timon finished sheepishly "KIARA'S GONE ?!" Everyone yelled at the same tone when Zazu flied in " Sire the Outsiders are on the attack heading this way... Its WAR !" the Hornbill shouted and the King and his brother nodded to each other before ordering "Zazu , you , Jelani, Furaha , Nyota and Aya go find Kiara. Me and Kibwe we'll rally the Lionesses. Move now !"
At those words we separated from each others. While Jelani and his group went looking for Kiara , Simba , Kibwe and the Pride went to confronts the Outsiders. Furaha noticed two figures in the horizon and alerted the others. Jelani fixed the two figures inquisitively before saying loudly "Its Kiara and Kovu ! Let's go !" Nodding his companions ran after him. When the group was closer , Kiara stopped dead in her tracks as did Kovu "Jelani ! Furaha ! Nyota ! Ayana ! What are you doing here ?" "Kiara the Outsiders decided to attack us ! Your father sent us to find you !" Nyota explained to the Princess whose eyes widened in horror
"We have to stop this war now !" Kovu ordered loudly before dashing away quickly followed by Kiara and the others. "Kovu...What happened in the gorge ?" Furaha asked the auburn Lion who stopped a moment to answer "Well...I was with Simba who was telling the truth about Scar...Then Zira and the rest of the Outsiders appeared and my mother congratulated me for luring Simba there but I had nothing to do with this ! When they attacked him, I tried to help him but I got knocked out. Later, my mother scratched me for betraying them..." Everyone listened before Jelani said with relief "I knew you were innocent...but its not the moment to talk...We have a War to stop !" The young White Lion with green eyes said strongly and at the moment he was talking like his father. Ayana nuzzled him proudly before the group ran away to join the Pride.
The two Prides were facing each other near the gorge Mufasa died in years ago. The Outsiders were covered in mud. Zira was standing on a tall rock while her followers flanked the boulder glaring at their opponents. The Pridelanders were standing proudly in front of their adversaries with Simba standing in front of them. Timon and Pumbaa then started to mock their enemies.
"Its over Simba ! I've been dreaming of nothing else for years !" Zira inquired as she glared at the Red Maned Lion who was standing beside his white brother. "Man she DOES really need a hobby" Timon muttered as he looked at Pumbaa earning a chuckle from the White Lion. "This is your last chance Zira, go home !" Simba told the Evil Lioness who looked back at him with an evil toothy grin. " But I AM home~" she said sweetly before shouting loudly "ATTACK !" The two Prides started to advance slowly toward their enemies before running off at full speed roaring at each other. It was a terrible fight : Claws piercing flesh, fangs against fangs, roars of anger or pain.
At the same time, Jelani , Furaha , their mates along with Kiara and Kovu arrived at the gorge and saw the two Prides fighting. Looking at each others, they ran toward the dam to cross the canyon and to stop this pointless fight once and for all. As they ran, Furaha was praying that her family was fine and not...She shook her head to get rid of those thoughts and glanced at her brother who looked back at her with a smile. Knowing he was thinking the same, the two ran faster.
"Where is your pretty daughter Nala ?" Vitani , Kovu's sister, taunted the Queen as she stood on a rock " Vitani !" The Cream-Lioness snarled at her before Vitani pounced at her. Timon and Pumbaa were purchased by 5 Outsiders who cornered them and looked ready to attack when Kibwe stepped in. He attacked them with hatred in his eyes and managed to defeat them as they ran away with their tails between their legs. "Thanks pal " Timon said to the White Lion who nodded before a terrible from Zira caught his attention.
His blue eyes widened when he saw his brother attacked by too many Outsiders for him to handle. The White Lion roared loudly and charged . After that , the two brothers fought side by side like they did years ago during Scar's final moments. Suddenly Zira appeared and the two Leaders circled each other as both Prides formed a circle around them. Kibwe saw Nuru among the Lionesses and internally sighed in relief. She got some scratches but nothing serious.
Just as the two Leaders were about to land the first blows, Kiara and Kovu appeared before standing between Simba and Zira. Soon they were followed by Jelani and the rest of the group. "Kiara ?" Simba said in shock "Kovu !" Zira snapped as her son glared at her hatefully. "Move " she sneered as she narrowed his eyes at him. "Step aside" The King told his daughter who responded firmly "Daddy this had to stop !" "You're even weaker that I thought !" Get out of the way !" Zira roared angrily at Kovu who didn't even flinch at her harsh tone and responded coldly "You'll never hurt Kiara or Simba ! Not while I'm here..."
This declaration surprised everyone especially Kibwe. He thought Kovu was responsible for the ambush in the gorge but it seems that they were all wrong. Kovu was innocent. A smile appeared on the White Lion's face as he watched the scene before him. "Stay out of this !" Simba said to his daughter who told him " A wise King once told me : We are One. I didn't understand what he meant then...Now I do"
"But they..." the King tried to say but Furaha stepped in "Them ? Us ? Look at them Uncle Simba...They are us~" the Brown-Orange Lioness with Blue eyes said to her Uncle before Jelani stepped in as well " What differences do you see between them and us ? Aren't we all part of the Great Circle of Life ?"
Nuru and Kibwe were looking at their children with nothing but proud. The Red Maned Lion paused for a moment when the clouds parted as the rain stopped. The King looked at the sky before looking back at his daughter warmly and the two nuzzled each other before doing the same to his niece and nephew.
"You three are right..." Simba told his daughter, niece and nephew who smiled back at him. Zira , for her part, was glaring at them before shouting "Vitani...Now !" "No Mother..." Vitani looked at her brother who was raising a raise-brow as the Pridelanders looked at her in surprise and shock "Kiara's right !" Then deliberately, Vitani went with her brother before looking at Zira's other followers "Enough ".
The Outsiders were looking at each others unsure but then Zira muttered loudly " If you will not fight... then YOU will die as well !" Zira's followers ,hearing this, looked at their leader in disgust before joining Simba's Pride. " Where are you all going ? Get back here !" "Let it go Zira ! Its time to put the past behind us..." Simba tried to reason her but in vain.
"I'll never let it go ! " The Evil Lioness snarled when a crack took Simba's attention and the Red Maned Lion didn't saw his enemy going into a pouncing position. "This is for you Scar !" then she pounced. Kibwe noticed that his niece was about to prevent Zira to attack her father so he acted quicker. With a terrible roar, he crashed against Zira sending the two of them in the gorge ! "KIBWE !" Simba , Nala and Nuru yelled at the same time as they approached the edge "DAD !" "UNCLE KIBWE !" Without thinking, Simba bravely jumped into the gorge to save his brother.
The White Lion was crashing against some rocks as did Zira and two fell for a while until Kibwe managed to get a hold onto a small edge. The Evil Lioness clinged to the rocks below the White Lion , hanging with her front-paws " Hold on Kibwe !" Nala shouted as she looked at her brother-in-law worriedly while Nuru looked FRANTIC as did their children.
At the same time, the dam broke and the river suddenly created a flood which descended toward the hanging Lions ! "SIMBA THE RIVER !" Nala yelled loudly and her husband saw the flood coming . He leaped from rocks to rocks trying to reach his brother. Zira was still hanging precariously but suddenly, using her hint-legs, she jumped and she managed to reachKibwe's back-paws causing him to almost lost his balance "If I fall , You fall with me White Freak !"The Evil Lioness snarled wickedly "You are right Zira !" The White Lion's answer was loud enough for everyone to hear "Because I won't let you hurt my family ever again ! FOR THE PRIDELANDS !" Kibwe shouted as he let go of his grip , falling in the gorge again with Zira who yelled in terror before the two Lions found themselves in the river.
"NOOOOOOOOOO!" Everyone yelled in horror as Kibwe disappeared underwater. Zira's clawed paw appeared for a moment but it went back underwater. Soon the river calmed down and the surface became still. Nothing moved. Simba stood where he was , looking at the place his brother was standing a few minutes ago before joining the others who were all in shock by what happened. Nuru was crying as she looked at the river "Kibwe ! You idiot why did you do that ?!" she was yelling loudly as she was being hugged by Nala who was equally in tears.
Jelani , Furaha and Kiara were equally crying the loss of their father/Uncle. Their mates were comforting them as best as they could but they were shocked themselves by what they just witnessed. Then Simba appeared. The King was in tears and he didn't tried to hide them but instead let them out. He just lost his most loyal friend...He had lost his brother... Nala approached her husband and the two shared a tearful hug as they remembered all the good times they had with the White Lion. Timon and Pumbaa were crying as well. In fact everyone in the Pride were heartbroken. Kibwe was loved by everyone so it wasn't a surprise.
They stood there for a moment before Simba announced it was time to go home "Kovu I was wrong ! You belong here ! Let's go home... All of us.." the Red Maned Lion said as he looked at the ex-Outsiders who smiled as the King leaded them toward Priderock but this time, without his brother.
The Pride celebrated the union of Kiara and Kovu as well as those of Furaha and Jelani with Nyota and Ayana respectively. Despise the joy, everyone were still thinking about the White Lion who should have been here to see this moment. Simba was still deeply affected by the loss of his brother and it was the same with the rest of the family, especially Jelani , Furaha and Nuru who was inconsolable.
Its been 4 days since Kibwe's death and the Brown-Orange Lioness stopped eating, too depressed to do so. They tried to call for Rafiki but strangely the Mandrill never came nor answered the King's call. Jelani and his sister were trying their best to comfort their Mother but they understood why she was like this. They remembered all the moments they passed with their father and it was heart-breaking to think he wouldn't be there anymore.
Kiara as well as inconsolable. She always loved her Uncle and to lose him like this...it broke her. Kovu tried to cheer her up but it never worked. Beside the sad atmosphere , there were some good news : the Outsiders-turned-Pridelanders grew quickly accustomed to their life in the Pridelands. They respected the Circle of Life and grew attached of their new Pride even Vitani who became close friend with Kiara. The life was returning to normal but at a strong cost...
At least that what they thought...
A week passed since the fight near the gorge and the entire Pride was at the Watering Hole. Nuru was laying beside her children and her daughters-in-laws while Simba was laying with Nala , Kiara and Kovu. All of them were chatting happily but deep down they still missed the White Lion.
Suddenly the grasses near them rustled, causing everyone to tense only to calm down when Rafiki appeared "Rafiki where have you been ?! You had been called like 20 times already !" Nala shouted to the Mandrill who didn't seemed fazed by the Outburst because he laughed " I was busy with a patient your Majesty ! That's why !" "Which patient was more important that a member of the Royal Family ?" Vitani asked the Mandrill with a frown . The Mandrill smiled crazily before stepping aside.
Everyone gasped in shock when a familiar muscular White Lion with blue eyes appeared. Simba got up and approached the newcomer with wide eyes "Kibwe ? Not it can be " "Do you all really think you can get rid of me THAT easily ? Come on you know me better than that !" Kibwe responded with a laugh when suddenly he looked at Nuru who was looking back at him with tearful eyes. Then she rushed toward him and the two shared a big hug "Oh Kibwe I thought I lost you..." "I'm here my love I'm here~" the Snow-Furred Male whispered to his wife as the Pride started to surround him.
"DAD !" Jelani and Furaha shouted joyously as they hugged their father tightly with tearful eyes "Uncle Kibwe !" Kiara said happily as she looked at her Uncle who smiled at her. Nala then approached "How did you survive ?" The Pride was waiting for the White Lion answer before he explained to them how he managed to grad a rock tightly so he wouldn't got carried away by the stream and when the river calmed down he swam toward the shores as he was far away from the gorge. He received many injuries during his fall but he managed to walk toward Rafiki's tree where the Mandrill treated him. He asked the Shaman to not tell anyone about him being alive yet as he wanted to surprise the Pride.
When he finished, the Pride was looking at him in shock. Simba then hugged his brother "Its good to see you again Kibwe" "Its good to see you again brother" The White Lion responded gently and then he looked at his family warmly "I know I miss your weddings and I am sorry for that...But now I'm back for good !" Nuru then punched him on the shoulder "Scare me like that again and I kill you !" she told him sternly earning a chorus of laugh from the entire Pride "I promise my love~" The White Lion said softy as he nuzzled her cheek earning a purr from her as she nuzzled him back.
With Kibwe back to the Pride, the Life in the Pridelands had finally returned to normal. The Circle of Life was restored and the Lions , two Prides who were once enemies , were finally one thanks to the future rulers of the Pridelands.
