I took a late flight to California for the recording. I got checked in at my hotel and got settled in my room and got ready for bed. My phone rung on the bed and I quickly answered it. "Hi. I just checked in. I know that we're filming tomorrow, but what exactly will I be reacting to," I asked, looking out of the large window in my room. "You're reacting to a reaction video that caught our eye, but you'll also be reacting to Monsta X and there's a surprise near the end," Benny explained. "Sounds fun. Can't wait. I'll see you tomorrow then." I hung up the phone and sat on the bed.
I wasn't tired yet so I decided to get on Instagram and start a random live stream. Soon enough, hundreds of people started joining and blowing up the chat. "Hey everyone! Wanna hang out with me for a while," I greeted the fans and started reading comments. "I don't know how long I'm going to stream, but I'll stay on to chat with you guys." I grabbed my tablet and went to my playlist and started playing music.
Changkyun POV:
Changkyun scrolled through his phone as he looked through social media. Jooheon leaned over and looked at his screen. "Why are you looking through Ashley's Instagram," he blurted out loud, causing the other members to look at him. "Is he really on her Instagram," Wonho asked and Jooheon nodded. Changkyun cleared his throat as all eyes were on him. "I just wanted to see what she's like before we meet her," he said, trying to cover up what he was doing. "I think there's something more than that," Kihyun pointed out, smirking as everyone took out their phones. "I think those two are the same age, if I'm not mistaken," Minhyuk said, looking up information on Ashley.
"They are! I think someone has a crush," Hyungwon said and Kihyun nodded in agreement as Shownu chuckled. "No, I don't! I was just seeing what she's like. I was curious. That's all," Changkyun said, covering his face from embarrassment. "She is cute. You might have a chance," Kihyun said, holding up his phone, showing a picture of Ashley, "She's a wrestler, model, and gamer. She's definitely your type." "She could be my type too," Jooheon said as Changkyun rolled his eyes. "I think someone disagrees," Shownu pointed out.
"Anyways, we're meeting her tomorrow for a video so this should be kind of fun," Changkyun said, changing the subject. "She's live right now," Minhyuk said and Changkyun looked at his phone to see that she was live. "I think we should check it out," Kihyun said. "No. That'll be a little weird," Changkyun said, "she might figure out that we're in town." "No, she won't. She'll just think we're hanging out. She won't suspect anything." Changkyun looked down at his phone, his thumb hovering over the button to join. "Don't be scared. Do it," Jooheon said and pushed his thumb down. "Wait!"
Ashley popped up on the screen, smiling and talking away to her viewers as she ran her fingers through her long black and red hair. Music was playing and she hummed in between talking to her fans. Changkyun couldn't take his eyes off of her as he watched her. "Yep. Crush confirmed," Minhyuk teased and Kihyun agreed. Changkyun ignored the teasing as he kept watching her. Soon, they heard their song, Trespass, started to play and viewers asked her to sing it. "Okay. I'll sing it," she giggled before she started singing and dancing in her chair. "Wow. She's good," Wonho said and everyone hummed in agreement. "I wonder if she would entertain the idea of singing with us," Minhyuk said. "Who knows? She might. That would be kind of cool," Hyungwon said as they listened. "I think we should join from our accounts," Kihyun said. Before Changkyun could say anything, he looked at the chat and froze. "I think I've been caught. The viewers are trying to get her attention and tell her I'm on here," he said as viewers spammed the chat as she wrapped up. Ashley finished the song and started looking at the chat. "Let the fun begin," Kihyun chuckled.
Ashley's POV:
I finished singing and changed the song to something else as I looked at the chat. "I'm is here? Huh? I know that you're here because you're in the chat," I giggled, reading the chat, wondering what was going on. Everyone kept saying the same thing which was confusing me. "Did I miss something? What is going on? Im is here? What?" I mulled over what everyone was repeating, trying to figure it out. One comment caught my attention and I froze as it finally hit me.
"Wait. Are you talking about Changkyun? From Monsta X?" Everyone started spamming Yes and I covered my blushing cheeks. "No way! You guys are messing with me, right? There's no way," I said, shaking my head. Soon, I noticed five new viewers joining, each with blue checks by their names. One of the names sent a message in the chat. "Changkyun is watching and so are the rest of Monsta X," I read out loud before letting out a tiny squeak and quickly covered my mouth. I looked at one of the names and recognized it as Wonho. "Are you serious? Monsta X is watching right now? I'm so happy, embarrassed, and shocked all at once. That is so cool! Um hi guys. How are you," I said, greeting them in Korean. "We're fine. Just wanted to say hello." I smiled and waved at the camera as I stretched in my chair. "Best stream ever! I just want to say that I love you guys. I'm such a huge fan of you guys. I think that you're awesome and I just love your music," I said in Korean, "I wish I could stop blushing." I covered my cheeks as viewers commented on my adorable reactions. "Thank you for the support and we loved your singing," Wonho commented, making me blush even more. "You heard me sing? That's embarrassing. How long was Changkyun watching me," I asked, running my fingers through my hair to settle down my nerves. "Since you were talking about tattoos," Kihyun commented. I blushed, not believing that I was caught singing their song.
"I think my viewers set me up," I giggled, "but why didn't he say anything? I'm friendly, I promise. Ignore the wrestling thing. I'm completely nice until you make me mad." "I.M. is very shy so he doesn't talk much," Wonho commented. "He is? I watched the first season of Monsta X-ray. If anything, I thought Shownu was the only quiet one. Plus Changkyun and I are the same age, although he's a January baby and I'm an October baby, so he shouldn't be shy around me. None of you should, honestly. I can get along with any and everyone." "Who would you instantly connect with out of all of us," Kihyun asked.
"Don't put me on the spot like that," I giggled, playing with my hair. I thought about each member carefully and thought about how well I would get along with them. "Well, I think I could get along with all of you guys. Changkyun and I would get along naturally because of our age. I think Jooheon and I would get along because of our adorably cute nature. Wonho and I would bond over workouts. Shownu and I would bond over pictures because his skills are amazing. Kihyun and I would bond over cooking because I love to cook and I know he does as well. Minhyuk, Hyungwon, and I would bond over probably fashion and design." The viewers agreed with me and even added their own thoughts into the matter. "Wow. It's almost like we've been friends for years," Minhyuk said. "I study personalities a lot so I just did it based off of that. Plus Wonho is the easiest because he's built like a bodybuilder." Some of the viewers were laughing and agreeing with me after my comment. "Thank you. We should hit the gym one day," Wonho said. "Don't let my tiny self fool you. I have a very intense workout routine that a lot of people can't handle." "Challenge accepted," Wonho said, making me laugh.
I looked at the clock and realized that it was really late. I was having fun, but I really had to go to bed to get plenty of rest for tomorrow. "As much as I love chatting with everyone, I have a busy day tomorrow so I'm going to end my stream. Thank you everyone for hanging out with me. Special thanks to Monsta X for hanging out. This was the most fun I've had in a while. I'll probably stream again soon and it'll be longer and maybe I'll play a game next time. Good night everyone. I love you all. And remember, stay weird." I winked and blew a kiss as everyone said goodnight before I ended the stream.
I braided my hair and put my tablet and phone on the charger as I got ready for bed. I still couldn't believe that I actually had Monsta X in my stream and actually talked to them. My phone buzzed on the bed as I turned off the lights and laid down. I picked it up and saw a message for a group chat on Instagram. I opened it and was shocked to see that I was added to a group chat with Monsta X.
"Hope you don't mind, but I decided to start a group chat with all of us," was the message sent from Kihyun. "I don't mind at all. It's a good thing I can type in Korean as well," I replied with a laughing emoji. "Thanks for having us in your stream," Shownu said. "No. Thank you for joining. It was awesome and fun chatting with you all." "I.M., don't you have something to say," Hyungwon asked. Everyone put the eye emoji as if they were waiting for him to say something. After what seemed like forever, Changkyun finally started typing. "Hey, Ashley," he wrote as everyone sent the clapping hands emoji. "Hi, Changkyun. Thank you for spying on me tonight. It was fun," I teased. "I wasn't spying! Jooheon made me click on your live and I was more focused on you...I mean your singing." I laughed to myself and shook my head. "Relax. You're fine. I was just teasing. Speaking of which, does Jooheon not have Instagram? I would love to chat with him as well." "No. He doesn't have one yet. Maybe one day," Hyungwon said. "Well, as much as I love chatting with you guys, I have to go to bed. Busy day tomorrow, but I'll have my phone on me if you guys want to chat." "We don't want to keep you up, so we'll chat tomorrow," Shownu said. "Awesome. Good night guys. Tell Jooheon that I said goodnight." Everyone said their goodnights and I placed my phone down and drifted off to sleep.
Changkyun POV:
Changkyun sighed as he laid in bed. He couldn't believe that that just happened. Out of everything he could've said, all he said was hey. He shook his head as he looked at his phone. If he couldn't talk to her through messages, then how would he be able to handle talking to her face for the video? He looked up different videos of her and tried to think of scenarios in his head and practice what he would say to her. He didn't want things to be awkward between them so he did what he thought would be right. He opened Instagram once more and went to Ashley's profile. He took a deep breath as he thought for a moment before typing out a private message, being completely honest and open with her. He looked at the message once again and sent it, tossing his phone and went to sleep.
