So I'm going to describe what type of reanimated Naruto and Sasuke are, because, well, I Don't know if anyone has tried it like this. Their souls, ideas are formed by the purest form of energy, chakra, or magic, in this case, their element on their hand. Naruto being a Hell-fire because that's the closest dragon to sun magic. Since Atlas is made from the fire he creates, while Sasuke is born and shaped under the very moonlight of Selena, the Moonlight Dragon God.
Who is canon, by the way? If I ever get there, this story will have characters and arks around the 100-year quest Natsu and gang are on currently. So they suddenly were given life, not as a newborn, without parents; their soul and powers created a body from these elements. However, that does not mean they're the same person to the dot.
For example, Sasuke is introduced in this chapter, and he took these dreams of another not as a dream but a memory he should hold on to.
Anyway, I own nothing.
Trains, fuck trains. Grumbling those two words, a child emerged looking terrible. Sickly and tired, the Hell Dragon Slayer dragged himself from that metal hell cage. Demons and monsters forge everything about the metal trap. Those poor fools watching him in such pity have no idea just what they're encountering. Mumbling to himself, the Dragonslayer tugged the caller of his clothing while he appreciated those weird ladies buying him clothing and haircut, but damn, they were strange.
His clothing is too; he had to get used to these damn things again, seeing how everyone around him is wearing something similar. He wanted to be shirtless also, but no! People don't take kindly to people like him.
Scratching his stomach, the boy hummed, what the hell is his plan again? Oh, yeah! He's hunting down dark mages! Or dark guides, or whatever they call themselves. So why is he here, though? Where is he? Damn, the amount of questions he has is ridiculous; every step and every breath left him having no understanding at all.
That doesn't matter, though! All that does is his quest to free the world from evil!
"Halt! You are under arrest by the Magic council for impersonating a legal guild!" Naruto blinked, once, twice, three times now, noting the not-so-small force of men and women, in weird outfits, pointing different weapons and ready with magic.
"Ha!" He laughed, "I have no clue what any of those words mean! That means whatever you said doesn't matter!" He yelled every so smug, even using his fingers to line his chin and the side of his cheek. Bottom teeth over his top lip, he truly believed the words he spoke.
Even the guards stared dumbfounded, hearing the strangest reasoning and even watching the boy start walking off. Only for a spell to be said and the boy to begin flouting. Mouth sealed shut, arms behind his back and staring at the masked uniformed soldier.
"Name?" She spoke with nothing but a professional demeanor. Another standing by her side with magic words and photos glowing.
"Uzumaki Naruto! Strongest Fire mage that will ever live!" The child roared, fire-spewing from his mouth. In a non-threatening way, even the mage holding him hostage could tell.
As the boy poured fire endlessly through his mouth, the woman watched her second scroll through whatever magic he used. Only for her head to stop at the boy. The blank square of magi showing this child is not natural.
"You're not in the database; that's impossible." Mumbling to herself, the two checked time and time again. All those with the ability to use magic being recorded. Date of birth, city, witchcraft, crimes, and what they're a faction allied. However, this is just an I.D. Nothing more; they couldn't track anyone through this system.
And the boy before her didn't have one. She was staring at the boy with yellow eyes shifting between yellow and orange.
A what? The female guard stared at the strange boy. Releasing her magic, he landed gracefully on his feet. He was still standing before her without knowing much about what's happening.
"So, like, what's your name?" The Knight stared at the golden-eyed boy. She couldn't believe it; the rumors of dragon slayers seeming to be from another time are accurate.
"Jaune. Where are you from, Naruto?" This is a child, whether the rumors and eye-witnessed told the truth or not. She couldn't see such a young person destroy a known dark guild.
"I'm not too sure; Atlas found me when I was younger, and uh, that's as far back as I remember." It's the truth; he didn't remember a damn thing for the past ten or so years. That's all, no childhood besides training and learning along-side a beast dedicated to a flame.
"Atlas?"
"Nope, I get to ask a question now!" He yelled as the knight let out a breath, waving to her troops; they all relaxed. Shoulders lowering, weapons away, they stood to their sides talking and chit-chatting with one another. The boy before them is no treat, and you didn't need to be a commander to know this.
"What do you wish to know?"
"Why yall dressed the same. Those weirdos at that dark guild had matching outfits." This boy is strange, which was evident by his overall reactions and ignoring just who they are. However, now she knew why. This boy knows nothing but his magic, deaf to the world.
"We're officers serving the magic consul of the country's governing body; it's to show everyone who we are." Naruto smiled, hearing her voice raise with pride and joy in her work. He still has no clue what that meant, though.
Blinking, the woman stared at the boy, surprised and shocked, to be quite honest. She always met children wanting to become them, well. With the guild rising with popularity, that number has lowered, but for the boy to blatantly say 'I'm joining.' took her by surprise.
"You don't just say you're joining; it's a long process of study and commitment." The badge on her sleeve swelled her with pride. Her achievement, while common, is a testament to her dedication. She wished to be what she is now, something minimal could claim.
"Don't care. Doing it!" He deemed with a smile so bright. The woman hid a blush under her mask; her men and women in arms didn't say a word. Many laughed and cheered this type of behavior!
"David!" She roared, watching one of them give the kid his helmet.
"Hey, the kid took down a dark guild we couldn't, by himself." He chose to ignore the snort the boy had. "He can be an unofficial member." They've seen worse before, far worse in fact.
"That's not how any of this works!"
"Well, yeah, but it wouldn't be the first child in the ruin knights. Having someone like the kid can give us a boost." Mages are becoming more and more dangerous, many guilds falling unable to gather jobs besides thievery and assassinations. There is only so much a sword wielder could do against a mage.
"I'll just follow you." With a toothy grin, the woman wanted to yell in frustration and annoyance. However, she lost, and she knew it. This boy wasn't saying he's part of a guild; he is just a child with a gift of talented magic.
"Fine! Let's go." Turning on her heels, she made her way back, her missions a somewhat success. With Naruto coming with him, the fake guild member in her custody, she could easily explain what truly happened.
"Anyway," Drawn out of her thoughts, back on his feet, the blond smiled toothly. Hands locked behind his head like he won a prize. "Atlas is my father, I suppose. The closest thing to a parent anyway, he taught me everything I know. He vanished a few days ago, but he always said how I would be a great pillar of light destroying the darkness of the world."
That's why he fought that dark guild; no matter what guild he came across, he would have fought out-classed or not. He just happened to pick the Unicorns.
"He had great respect and hope for you; I'm sure he left for you." It's common for parents to vanish, sadly—many orphans belonging to guilds and the Rune Knights.
"I know he did," Naruto wasn't brilliant, but picking things up wasn't out of his reach. He knew very well that telling people he's been raised by damn dragons wouldn't be something to brag about. So, Atlas, for now, is a human.
"Your magic was described strangely, Hell Fire Dragon Slaying magic?" No one, to her knowledge, knew about dragon-slaying magic within the ranks of the Rune Knights.
"Yep, well, I know a ton of magic based around fire and light, but it's mainly Hell Fire Dragon Slaying Magic. Atlas taught me the magic, said I have such a natural talent in all things light and fire it would be a crime not to learn." Of course, another lie, his talent came through with interest and ongoing training. His arms and legs had burn scars to prove this.
"What's a Rune Knight?" Smiling upon hearing such a question, she spoke from her heart and soul. To her, the Rune Knight force is what keeps this Kingdom Balanced. In comparison, Guilds brought the opportunity for mages far and wide to practice magic freely. It's the Rune Knights that kept the kingdoms held together.
However, The wealthy and powerful can shatter the law, be bent, abused, and taken advantage of, and those who find ways to bend those rules couldn't be touched by heroes or by the likes of Rune Knights. Those that remain in shadows can only be dealt with by shadows, and that's what he is—saving a world and those within with the cover of shadows and moonlight.
For he is Narutos' own shadow. This idea of self-worth is who Sasuke Uchiha is. The dimension traveling Moon Dragon-Slayer is on a self-made quest. One of his teachers and the woman she surrounded herself with never understood.
All that matters to the moon is finding the sun. To find Uzumaki Naruto and achieve his goals is his purpose. For he is the one that rescued him from the darkness. However, it's more complicated. He does not know Uzumaki Naruto. However, he wants to. This dream of a blond man with Hokage written on his back drove him a sense of purpose.
Something his trainer, self-proclaimed mother never gave, then the news came forth of a fire-user by the name of Uzumaki Naruto saving an entire city from a dark guild. Smiling the Raven-haired teenager with one eye black as coal and another strange and demonic. A purple metal color, multiple black circles surrounding his Iris. Strange marks across his entire eye were making a quirky design.
However, he found himself having company he couldn't escape.
"What!" An annoying roar so loudly. He was staring at the pink-haired dragon slayer with a face filled with excitement. Natsu Dragneel is the Fire Dragon Slayer, the boy who seemed, acted, looked so much like the person he wishes to follow.
He is not, however, close, but he's not yet standing beside Uzumaki.
"Would you stop yelling for three seconds?" The Uchiha spoke with annoyance rising ever so much. This guild, this place, Fairy Tail. He couldn't describe this place. The strange characters, the redhead girl that always stared his way. The funny minor brawls between guild members, drinking, random quest, and mission end in wild encounters.
IT's home; it's something he couldn't describe any differently. However, it's missing a brother; he couldn't express the empty feeling any differently.
"You said there's another Dragon Slayer?" He yelled again.
"Moon, Hell Fire, Iron, Air, Light and Dark, another hunting us all. There's a guild filled with people that devoured dragon flesh and formed dragon slayer magic from it." This damn brat couldn't understand how more than a single dragon could live.
The boy counted to spaz out about another Dragon slayer using fire as an element. To a point, he never notest his dragon-slaying guild member seemed to vanish. Appearing besides the old master Makarov, the older man barely stepping outside the city limits stared up at the latest mystery member of his guild.
Sasukes' power is fascinating. Able to replace himself with anything, even a pebble. Feeling the magic power of Fairy Tails' guild master, the boy performed a spell many would call perfect. His strange eyes are meeting his master in a long silence.
"That boy is important to you; how so?" Makarov knew more than many or instead picked apart the essential parts.
"I'm not too sure myself. Selene spoke that I was born under the stars and moonlight, how I was never a crying child, how I knew forms of magic that resembled her own." Staring at the birthmark, he constantly questioned and heard how this boy his mind still drifted to hold the sun's mark. His mind only made a single idea.
"However, I have memories of childhood, memories of a boy with blond, a girl with pink, and a man with silver hair. At the center stands Uzumaki Naruto. He is a sun, someone I would never flinch when given an order, someone whose dreams are mine. Someone who saved my life physically and mentally." Sasuke holds so much loyalty for this person, for this single child he never met before.
"You hold more loyalty to a single person you've never met before than the people behind you?" This child, there is something so incredibly wrong with him.
"Uzumaki Naruto, the boy with embers for eyes and a yellow sun on his palm." That single statement left the guild master silent. He was staring at the black crescent moon, that birthmark. Letting out a long, defeated breath, the older man made his way back.
"I will follow, no matter where."
"I'm meeting with Bob, an old friend of mine. He is the guild master of Blue Penguin." The two walked side-by-side, the master not worried. He knew he would beat the young boy in a fight, but he still needed to be careful, with words, not actions.
"Naruto beat a dark guild that claimed rivalry with his guild, strange seeing how his guild isn't like ours. While filled with mages that can hold their own, Bob enjoys the beauty of oneself, physically, mentally, and magically. More models than anything."
"They took rivalry for similar names, not strength or purpose. Both being color and magical horses." Sasuke spoke, already holding a form of thought; he wasn't a fool. He knew full well what the sun had done.
"Yes, you're right. The kingdom has strict laws against personating as a member of a guild, legal or not. Currently, they most likely have sent a team of Rune Knights to arrest and put him on a jury. However, seeing how you both have similar stories, I'm sure they'll drop the majority of charges."
It didn't matter if they did or not; Sasuke will have this meeting and rescue his savior.
"Remind me, what will you do once you meet?" This is something important that he will answer with an honest heart.
"Fight him,"
"Why, seeing this trouble you're going through? Why fight this self-proclaimed savior?" He didn't see the point in this, battling someone you claim so highly where his dream is your own.
"When two mages of equal might and skill first meet on the battlefield, they hide no secrets; all is known from one to another." He believed this little saying so much; one Makarov has never heard of.
"In a fight, you believe you two will understand one another truly?"
"Yes, and then I will know if these thoughts and visions are my own." To fully understand who they are, he will discover everything Sasuke wishes to know within this fight. The traveling became silent since that sentence, leaving only the guild master in thought.
Uchiha Sasuke is different from any other. Hell, Erza was a slave; she watched Rob, his friend, die before her eyes. Yet Sasuke is someone who shouldn't be alive. Biting the inside of his lip, the master closed his eyes.
There have been attempts of resurrection, Erza is proof, records are within his reach, and the thought of Sasuke worries him. Could he be what they all feared? The hair, eyes, personality, and his thoughts differentiating remind him of the dark mage.
Could he be? Is that why a dragon Goddess took an interest in it? Is that why he tracked down the Fairy Tail guild?
Questions rocked his brain. However, he had no answer. At the moment, all he could do is have this conversation with Bob. Stepping through the train doors, the two walked in utter silence. Sasuke, cold and distant, didn't bat an eye at the strange guild. Not even Bob's eccentric personality as the two sat/stood before his bar.
Bob smiled ever so softly, staring at his old friend and the guest he brought. With welcoming news and other not-so, he expected this to happen.
"Strange how these dragon slayers have been popping up out of the bloom." He hummed, amazed at everything happening. First, Natsu, a child he discovered running around like a wild child. A Fire Dragon Slayer, then the Iron Dragon Slayer, along with the rumors of a Moon Dragon Slayer, left so many damn questions.
"Something in the world has changed, that's obvious. The sudden appearance of lost and rare magic now becoming common is something rather disturbing." Makarov spoke, expecting the child to say something, but he didn't say a word.
"Could God Serena know something?" Bob is not a member of the Ten Wizard Saints, but all masters know the frightful power of a man with eight different Dragon Slayer elements.
"Pst, never. He's just a rich child." Insulting the name, Bob was left humming.
"The boy is believed to be part of my guild. He turned down reward money when he was in that town, you know. The town Mayor sent a messenger here with the money." Makarov started laughing, hearing this. "I couldn't turn down the reward money, of course; the cute boy spent days getting here and everything." They may be guild masters, but they are no role models.
"What's your plan then? Can't have a random mage without your mark running around." Whether he would bring fame upon his guild didn't matter. There's still someone running around being mistaken for being a Blue Pegasus.
"Offer him a position, of course; that boy gave me some information. His name is Naruto Uzumaki; he wore nothing but rags and unkempt hair. He refused their money but didn't refuse new clothing and a haircut. He cannot read, write in any known languages yet speaks ours. At the same time, knowing nothing of any history, current events, or even modern technology. The boy has no idea what a train is."
"Natsu is the same. He has no understanding of anything; they also claimed a dragon raised him. Sasuke, however, he's different." Makarov stumbled upon two Dragon Slayers, whether chance or destiny is something to consider. One loud and with no knowledge of how the world works, the other is different entirely. Knowing almost any written and spoken language, clear concept and understanding how the world works, even bordering kingdoms.
He spoke about how someone is hunting him and traveling to different worlds. How he must seek the sun, or this world will be devoured by the end, by Acnologia. Words he saved, after all. Sasuke is a child with a magic eye; what does he know of the future?
"Does Sasuke wish to speak?" Staring at the brooding teenager seeming to not care about this meeting.
"Dragons, they're in hiding." Is all they were given, something mighty like a dragon shouldn't hide.
"Do you think maybe dragons had a predator? The reason these Dragon Slayers are just showing up throughout the land?"
"Only time will tell." Makarov rubbed his birth, imagining Dragon Slayers' reasons started to appear with no rhyme or reason.
"I suppose time will tell, however. That Naruto boy is heading for Era, it seems he has an interest in the Rune Knight. " Bob smiled at that; letting his old friend go, he started his world for the day. Phasing through the wall and bar of his guild, he must find a small team to see this boy.
The glaring problem of his guild became apparent with just this task alone. While holding maybe more members than Fairy Tail, Blue Pegasus lacks any mages that take jobs. His guild is about the beauty of body and soul. From one person's looks to one's personality, of course, some waver in a single direction. He held no S-rank Mages, nothing close; no one even had near half that power.
They need a Dragon Slayer, having someone within this guild that could stand for them all. To show the others and the world they may care for beauty, they still hold might. This child is something he needs every so much.
However, who can he trust for a mission like this?
xxxxxxxx
So a shorter chapter, more building up into the before the start of the show. However, the problem I am facing is what to do with Naruto. I don't want him to be part of Fairy Tail; I don't. I think it would be far more interesting to have him join far later, mean after the time skips further and be part of a different group while Sasuke is part of Fairy Tail and struggling to obey the rules.
The idea is having Naruto be part of the Ten Wizard Saints, part of the Rune Knights, and Magic Council having that government body and speaker of different guilds. You must remember Hokage is not the same as a Master of a guild. It's much different, sounds the same, but a Hokage is part of an entire country's governing body. A guild master is not.
Or I have Naruto, a member of the Blue Pegasus unit later in the series, leaving early, after the whole phantom lord arc.
As for Sasuke, I don't want him looming in the shadows. Hidden under the lies within dark guilds as a spy. I want Sasuke to be part of Fairy Tail, a loud family of any type of character. Forcing the nearly cold and static Uchiha into a position he hasn't felt since childhood.
Anyway, I haven't designed it, but I am leaning towards the first choice, as for how pairing, Naruto and Levy will be working a lot together from the guild and Rune Knight request.
Have a good life-Kurama
