Zuko looked over at Sailor Mars.
She had just crowned him Fire Lord, and been appointed as the primary advisor.
Zuko knew he was pouting, not smiling at his people, but he couldn't help it.
He would much rather have the beautiful Mars as his queen, but she changed the subject whenever he tried his hand at awkward romance.
Toph had informed him that the guardian hated men. Well if she hated men so much, why was she helping him?
Why did everyone think he needed help? That he couldn't do this? His father, sister, everyone had always told him he wasn't good enough.
Even his friends doubted him.
Not her too!
Mars put a hand on his shoulder. "Cheer up! Smile and wave at your people! You brought them peace! You did good!"
As usual, she seemed to read his mind. Zuko smiled and waved, then got determined.
"Rei." He said as they headed inside. "I have something to ask you. No dodging."
"Zuko, I can't—"
"Listen to me!" Flames shot from his fingers but went behind him and not towards her, though he doubted she would burn. "I want to go on a date with you. I want you as my bride."
Rei looked shocked, changing back.
"I hate men." Rei confirmed his suspicions, then kissed him. "But I don't hate you."
She walked off.
"What was your answer?!" Zuko asked after her desperately.
Rei just laughed. "Figure it out."
Augh. Girls.
