Friday

Sam

Surprising himself, Sam was up refreshed just before 9am, leaving himself little over an hour to get to the airport, he was even more surprised at walking into the kitchen to see Brittany sitting there, with some random girl "Morning" he smiled, happy he'd made the decision to get dressed before venturing out for breakfast.

"Morning" Brittany smiled "This is Bree a friend of mine" she pointed at the girl sitting at the counter.

"I was hoping to see you in the raw" Bree laughed.

"Mm" he looked at her confused, grabbing a cup to get some strong coffee, turning at Mike entering the room.

"Santana is about to wake up, you better be making tracks" Brittany told him.

"I can't believe I overslept" Mike ran across the room still getting dressed "Britt, Bree" he stopped to look at them "Behave yourselves" he warned "Sam, kiss Mercy for me, safe journey" he called before disappearing out the door.

"We've got a few hours before the flight do you want to…party?" Bree held up a small transparent bag with tablets in it.

"I'm good" Sam laughed, shaking his head.

"For fuck sake Britt is there nothing off limits?" Matt came out of their bedroom, taking in the looks on the two women's faces.

"You maybe" she laughed "You walked right into that one sweetheart".

"Stop with all the sweetheart shit, Sam knows the score between us" he looked at Sam before looking back at her.

"Everything?" Bree looked at Sam with devilish eyes.

"Hey" Sam held his hand up "I'm a married man and as I told your friend years ago, I love my wife, that still stands" he looked at Matt "And we don't swing any which way except, together".

"You don't?" Brittany laughed.

"I'd kill her, right after she fucking killed me" Sam told them.

"Nobody actually knows what they do, or don't like, until after they've tried it" Brittany giggled.

"Leave Sam and Mercy alone" Matt warned.

"I guess we need to be at the airport in less than an hour, I better get ready" Sam slammed the mug in the sink and walked off, that situation felt so awkward, he didn't want to be alone with these people for any longer than he needed to be. Thirty minutes later he was ready to go, waiting for Brittany and Matt to make an entrance, surprised when Bree came as part of the package, and grabbed hold of his arm. "I don't think so" he dropped his arm for her to let go "Matt" he looked at his friend "I don't want to get vicious on your friend, just keep her away from me".

"You scared of little old me?" Bree cooed.

"I think you should be scared of Mercy" Matt told her, watching Sam walk out the door.

Two hours later he walked away from them, he was stood waiting for his VIP wrist band to board the ship, willing his wife to be on board already, he needed sleep.

Mercy

Mercy woke up late, feeling even more apprehensive than she had the night before, they had to rush to get dressed and get out of the hotel, she said goodbye to Rachel and Quinn and started her journey. Sam hadn't called like he said he would last night, and to her calculation there was probably just over an hour till he was on his flight. She sat in the waiting room at the airport, concerned about the ache in the pit of her stomach, convincing herself that something must have happened last night.

'What the hell!' she read the message from Tina on her phone, panicking for what might have happened to the children

Catch Up

Tina & Artie

Artie and Tina had moved into the realms of the untouchables, they were writers, directors, and producers, they'd both done that film they'd talked about and of course Mercy, Sam and Santana had been a part of it, smashing box office and coming in at number 2 in the new movie charts. They didn't wait long before they started their next musical, this time they were thinking of doing a series, everyone was interested but they were still putting some meat on the script, calling in a few more people for this epic project.

Junior was 15 years old now, joined by his 5 year old sister Nicole, whom he adored, he took her everywhere with him, that his parents would allow, she was spoilt in every way by him and her Dad, Junior was something of a free man now a days, he'd rebelled at an early age for being kept in, camping in the neighbours garden for nearly a week before his parent learned their lesson. He soon learned them that a child wasn't for keeping locked up and so ten years on they weren't about to make the same mistake with Nicole, in fact Junior wasn't allowing it.

The half term holidays were coming up, Sam and Mercy had promised their 13 year olds, Hanny and Becky they could have their God cousins over to spend some time with them, Sam was getting the week off because Mercy was starting her movie and school was out. It just so happened that now it was falling on the same weekend they all got Leon's invite, which threatened to wipe out their plans for a mini holiday before Mercy went off for three weeks. Artie and Tina came in saving the day, agreeing to have the girls, with them for the weekend instead seeing how important it was for Mercy to support her brother. So, the plan was Mercy would bring them over to Tina and Artie the night before then grab a flight over to Florida to meet the cruise ship.

End of Catch Up

She gasped at how quickly the girls had burned their bridge with Artie, opening the message, shocked to see Sam and Mike flaked out on a couch with girls laying all over them, they obviously had no clue what was going on, but nevertheless, the picture was on social media, there for anyone to see, even their children, she as fuming. She closed her phone and sat quietly bubbling, she knew this had something to do with Brittany, there was no other connection, Santana wouldn't let them get away with that shit, that bitch was still messing with her.

She was grateful for not having travel buddies, because the bitch had just told her she was coming on the cruise in doing that, and she needed time to get her game plan set up, if this bitch was coming at her, she was about to hit back hard. She got to sunny Miami, got tagged up and boarded the ship, music pumping from every orifice, setting the tone for their stay. There was a pre-party tonight, a sort of a massive meet and greet party for everyone on the ship, unfortunately for her, although it sounded fun, it wasn't an option, they were going to the VIP party on board while the rest of the family enjoyed the fun.

Mercy got to their suite and flopped on the bed, she was tired for sure, but there was a much bigger thing about to unfold, and she needed to be on her a game for that. She managed to fall asleep, waking up with a smile as she felt Sam wrap himself around her "Hi" she moaned clinging onto his arm to pull herself into him, seconds before she remembered she was supposed to be mad at him. She lay trying to figure out her best move right now, she hadn't heard his side of the story, and her sensible mind knew it was nothing on his part, but of course it was the Brittany of it all.

"Hi babe" he rubbed his cheek against her face "I missed you" he squeezed her into him "I got four hours sleep last night, I'm fucked, Matt's and his wife are totally fucked up" and just like that she knew it was a game Matt and Brittany were playing, but why?

"What did they do?" she asked, wondering why she'd asked, after her logical self, had just confirmed to her emotional self that this was none of his doing.

"Can I just grab some shuteye, wake me up when you're up" his head got heavier and heavier on hers, then he was asleep.

They were woken by knocking at their door "Expecting anyone?" Mercy jumped out of her sleep asking.

"Parents, siblings, Bob Marley's brother, one of his sons" Sam smiled pulling her back to him, "Stay here with me, we need some us time" rolling his eyes at the door knocking again, "I'll get it" he got up, dragged his joggers on and went to the door "Stevie" his voice surprised for some reason "How did you find us?".

"I just guessed, we're on deck 11, there are what, 6 cabins?" he laughed.

"I don't know how much of a privilege that is, all the artists are above us" Sam looked up.

"Can I come in for a second?" Stevie asked.

Sam looked back at Mercy already sat up on the bed "Sure" she smiled "Great to see you" she took Stevie's kiss on the cheek.

"I don't know how great it's going to be after you hear this bit of news" he sat on the couch looking at the two of them "Mom's here".

"As in, on the ship?" Mercy sat up asking.

"Yeah" his sorry eyes looked at them "I thought it was a good idea at the time, she seemed so genuine, to build her relationship with Anthea and…"

"You do know it was exactly fifteen years ago tomorrow that woman tried to ruin us?" Sam asked him.

"That's why I'm sort of pissed at myself, it all just came out before I thought it through" he huffed "I'm sorry".

"It's done now, there's nothing she can do to hurt us, we're in a good place" Mercy told him, stroking Sam's back.

"But is Anthea in a good place with Mom?" Stevie looked at her hoping for a positive response.

"You know you've just given them both the ammunition to start world war 3?" Mercy asked.

"That's the thing, I think it's already started" Stevie looked at them "They just blessed eyes… that might be the wrong word" he laughed "They just sent daggers across the bar at each other and I've just realised Mom lied".

"Fucking great" Sam run his hand through his hair "So much for a peaceful holiday".

"I thought we could keep them apart, it's sort of blown our plans too".

"Sorry, but you sort of knew how your holiday was going to be when you invited her" Sam told him "And that's fine for you guys, you live in an empty house".

"We might be alright for tonight, my parents are going to the street party, so we can take Gail to the VIP with us" Mercy looked at Sam "That should give us some leeway tonight" she told them.

"We were going to take you two, but you just forfeited your spot" Sam told him.

"You know none of them are going to have any of this shit, now they've seen each other?" Stevie warned.

"What cabin are you guys in?" Mercy asked Stevie.

"Two down".

"I might go visit Kate, leave you two to catch up" she got off the bed and went to the bathroom, grabbing a dress on the way through.

Catch Up

Kate & Stevie

Kate and Stevie had nothing but free time, when the girls hit 19, every business trip turned into an opportunity to spend time in another hotel room, trying to find their youth again. Chole and April had gone off to college, for two years, and seemed to wonder home with a different male friend every holiday, it was hard to keep up, at the end of all that they had a massive 21st birthday party at home, resulting in them ruining the pool and breaking the banister.

Then the girls were home again, and it was like a tornado had hit the house, cleaning, washing, cooking and noise, adult style became their life for just over a year, on their 22nd birthday the girls met two cousins Nick and Chad, they quickly became permanent fixtures to their home. There was no surprise nearly a year later when they announced their engagement and within that year there was a double wedding.

The guys came from England and had a large family, so it made sense for the Evan's to travel to them, the wedding took place in a local Castle, it was all very traditional, very English with 11 Evans' and around 110 Richardson's, the drinking started well before the speeches and was still going on while men slept on their chairs, it was all very comical but natural, at midnight Chloe and Nick, April and Chad left, parting company for maybe the first time in their lives to their honeymoon destinations

There was a short space of freedom for Kate and Stevie again, life was good, they returned from a business weekend to find the girls and their husbands in their home "Hi" Kate smiled at seeing her girls.

"Mom, Dad" Chloe; the talkative one, giggled walking towards them "You guys didn't say you were going away for the weekend"..

"Didn't know we had to" Stevie looked at his wife smiling.

"What's up?" Kate asked evading his playful eyes.

"We have news" Chloe looked at her sister "We're pregnant".

"Congratulations" Kate screamed hugging Chloe "When are you due?".

"7th February" Chloe giggled holding her hand out for Nick to join her.

"28th January" April whispered

"What you too" Stevie walked across the room to his other daughter "You guys have never done anything by halves" he laughed.

The months that followed made them feel like they were the ones that were pregnant, attending hospital appointments, grabbing cravings as they did their shopping, babysitting the girls when their husbands were away on business, it was overpowering. Sam called them to give them the news about Leon and they jumped in and invited themselves to the party, because once those babies were here they weren't getting a let up.

They sat watching the virtual tour of the magnificent cruise ship "Fun?" Kate looked at her husband with a sparkle in her eyes.

"Absolute fun" he moved his hips to the beat of the music accompanying the views.

End of Catch Up

Sam and Stevie were deep in pending Grandparent feelings by the time she came out "In a bit" she pecked Sam's lips and left.

Sam & Stevie

"You two alright?" Stevie asked, watching the door close.

"Yeah, she's just in her feeling about that Brittany girl I told you about".

"That girl from the christening?" Stevie looked at him "That was nearly 10 years ago".

"Yeah, but she's on the cruise with Matt, and dude you would not believe Matt, last night he's sat telling me about these threesomes they have, we went to a bar and he's partying like he's a single man, obviously their marriage is on the rocks, and I'm puzzled that he's having difficulties understanding why, if he's allowing that shit" he chuckled to himself.

"I've heard about his type, can't say I've never been envious, but Kate would cut my fucking balls off".

"We know that" Sam laughed "And Mercy would keep me alive long enough for her to boil them and shove them down my damn throat".

"They put up with enough from us as it is".

"We're lucky" Sam laughed "Except on the Mother front" he looked around the room "Is she close?.

"She's on deck 5" Stevie laughed "It was all they had".

"Mercy's parents didn't want to see the water, they're on 2".

"Shit" Stevie laughed "If it happens, it happens".

"As long as I'm not there" Sam laughed "I'm still torn" he laughed harder at Stevie's face "What?, it's the truth".

"If I'm going to get through this weekend I need strong liquids, lots of it" Stevie stood up "Come on" they went off to collect their wives and find a bar. They had just got to Stevie's cabin door when it burst open "What the…?" Stevie fell onto Sam with the force Kate pushed him to get out the door, shocked at her actions. Sam stood watching Mercy walk behind her, the look on her face telling him she was angry with him too. The brothers stood wondering "What the fuck just happened?" Stevie asked him while they stood watching the two women walk towards the escalators.

"I was thinking the same thing" Sam laughed "It's been a while since mad Mercy's made a fucking appearance" they watched the escalator doors open and close taking their wives wherever it was they fancied "Bar?" he asked his brother not wanting to deal with whatever that was right now and knowing better.

"Bar" Stevie agreed, making for the stairs to get to the nearest bar.

Sam made the journey remembering the last time they'd had an argument at the front door, back at a time when they both thought things had gone way past far enough.

Flashback

The pregnancy with the boys had been tough, they knew it was going to be, they knew they'd have to wait until the third trimester before anything near normal would rear its head for them. They'd taken to Sam walking out the room instead of performing because the girls were around, slept in separate bedrooms, and hardly shared living space in the house, everything was that tense.

Tina had been up this particular weekend, and rightly noticed the tension, they hadn't told anyone except Stevie about the problems they'd had with the girls, or even losing the first baby, everything was just building tension for them "I'll take the children to the theme park, give you guy some space" Tina suggested after breakfast that Saturday morning. The children cheered so hard it was hard for them to say no, plus Hanny and Becky had been in the middle of their shit for so long they deserved a bit of fun, so they packed them off.

They stood at the front door seeing them off the door closed, and the house went cold again "Mercy" he jumped at the chance to have a conversation, clear some air, they both wanted these babies, but the price was so high.

"Not now Sam" she turned and walked away.

"So, when?"

"When I'm not so stressed".

"Stressed" he gasped "We haven't said a word to each other for nearly two damn weeks".

"We're talking now" she turned telling him.

"Don't be so fucking sarcastic" his frustration bursting out "I mean talk, tell me what's going on for you".

"A baby's going on for me Sam" she snapped at him.

"There's a baby, we both know that, but…"

"There are no buts Sam, I'm not in the mood to talk".

"Well, I am, and you need to listen" he wasn't even prepared for what came next, she looked at him, he could tell something had hit a spot, and for a second he was pleased about finally getting a reaction, and then it all went south.

"You want to talk" she was so angry it was almost a hiss "Well, I think you should move out; I don't want you here anymore".

"What?".

"I don't want this anymore Sam, you can come see the children whenever you want, but I need you to leave".

"What?" he couldn't wrap his head around what she was saying "Mercy" he stepped towards her.

"Sam" she screamed "You wanted a fucking conversation, and now it's here, you don't want to hear it, just go" she was screaming at him like someone who'd lost it.

"This isn't a conversation" he gasped.

"Sam, just go, now, please" she seemed exhausted, he stood looking at her for a second before he grabbed his jacket, keys and left, she needed time to calm down, he could hear her crying through the door, it was breaking his heart, but he wasn't in a loving place just then, she'd have to make her mind up this time, he wasn't running after her anymore. That feeling had come from a dark place, they were sharing the same living space but living completely different lives, what made things worse, was that she had all the time in the world for friends and colleagues, but for whatever reason he was the only one suffering, and he'd had enough. In the second it had taken him to walk out the door, he'd come to terms with being a part time Dad, if that's what she wanted, he wanted it too, there were only so many times a man could be knocked back before he got the hint.

"Sam" the door flew open, just as he was about to step down the front steps "I.." she broke down crying, he dropped his coat and grabbed her, holding her tight, finding it hard to let go, she tiptoed up and kissed his lips "This is so hard" she looked into his eyes. He went in for another kiss, backing her into the house, he just about shut the door before he took his wife, right there at the front door, they were both hungry for each other's touch, and right then any thought of babies went out the window, masked by the urgency to save their marriage.

"Am I a bad person?" he hugged her asking.

"Why?"

"Because I just chose us over our babies".

"I chose us too" she looked up at him "I think that's what I want to say, I choose us".

"Then there's us" he smiled, kissing her again "That was an emergency, we still need to be careful, and you need to go lay down".

End of Flashback

"I'm sure they'll let us know when they're ready" Stevie opened the door smiling at The Lime & Coconut Bar in front of them, he looked at Sam laughing they both bursting out in song.

Put the lime in the coconut, drink them both together, Put the lime in the coconut, then you feel better,
Put the lime in the coconut, drink them both up, Put the lime in the coconut, and call me in the morning..

'Put the Lime in the Coconut' by Harry Nilsson

"You used to sing that all the time when we were little" Sam laughed. "Hi" he smiled at the barman "I like that colour" he pointed at the lime green drink "Can we get two of those please" he offered his wrist band for scanning.

"Make that three" Grace walked up to them smiling for seeing her brother-in-law "Sam" her arms open to greet him, he jumped off the stool and hugged her.

"Big woman now" he looked at her, all the puppy fat had long gone, she was tall, forming a shape not quite as thick as Mercy's, and mature in the face "Who's this?" he asked of the boy stopping behind her.

"Oh, this is Spence, he's a…"

"Artists, yeah" Sam got up "Leon talks about you all the time" he held his fist up for knocking "Nice to meet you".

"Grace and Leon didn't tell me you were the Sam Evans" he laughed.

"I'm honoured you know me" Sam laughed.

"Nobody walks around with a dope wife like Mercedes Evans and not get noticed".

"I think I accept that compliment on behalf of my wife" he laughed "This is my brother Stevie" he watched them fist bump.

"Nice to meet you Stevie, I'm sure I'll get to meet your wife at some point over the weekend" he looked past Sam, taking the drinks being offered by the barman.

"I'm sure you will" Sam smiled, watching Grace, take the drink from the man, before dragging him off by his arm, she was already too familiar for Sam's liking.

"That's a protective big brother look if I ever saw it" Stevie laughed.

"Whatever's going down, isn't going down on my watch" Sam laughed.

"Fair enough" Stevie picked his drink up, impressed with the strong taste of rum "That's what I'm talking about" he held the drink up, they were ready to be boys again.

Mercy & Kate

Kate and Mercy were always thick as thieves when they got together always cooking up new things to trend, they loved spa time together and seemed to use their time together for destressing and truths. This time was no different, if you didn't count the fact that Mercy had something to get off her chest, she saw her opportunity when the guys looked set to have a man session, she made her excuses and left.

"Kate" she knocked the door "It's me" smiling at Kate swinging the door open ready for her hug.

"Girl" Kate hugged her "You look like you got the weight of the world on your damn shoulders, let's talk" she pulled away from her sister-in-law concerned.

"I've just got that knot in my tummy".

"Oooh the knot" Kate's eyebrows went up and met in the middle of her brow "You know shit is going down" she shut the door for privacy "Spill" she grabbed some Appleton from the cabinet and two glasses "This doesn't deserve to be ruined" she set the glasses down and halved them with the liquid "So, what are we dealing with?" she sat next to her sister.

Kate sat listening to Mercy's gut feeling, the emergence of this Brittany girl she barely remembered from the Christening of the boys and the warning Santana had given her, everything ending with the presentation of the picture on Facebook, Tina had sent her.

"So, I'm at this place now, where I don't know whether to call this bitch out before anything happens or leave it and let shit play out".

"I think we need to see what we're dealing with first" Kate advised "Let's go find this bitch, see what she'd about, then we can make a plan".

"Okay" Mercy giggled "We're just two fine ladies taking a stroll" they finished their drinks and made for the door, shocked to see Sam and Stevie stood there, they walked off wondering how much of their conversation they actually heard, refusing to give them the opportunity to stop them from executing their plan.

They got in the elevator and giggled "I hate the way they always look so freaking fine" Kate shared.

"I love the way they belong to us" Mercy laughed "They'll be happy for the free afternoon".

"Stevie doesn't get much free time either".

They went down to deck 2 to look around the entire ship, taking the stairs back up to make sure they visited every deck, looking for this woman who was trying to be a threat, three hours, and several drinks later they hadn't seen any one and they were back on deck 11 taking in the views from the deck chairs.

"I think this is telling us we need to let this shit play out" Mercy told Kate.

"If we do something we do it together, we don't let them stop us, deal?"

"Deal" Mercy knocked glasses, knowing in her heart that Sam would never stop her, unless he saw danger, this bitch deserved everything she was about to get if she messed with her or hers. The spent the rest of the afternoon tucked away on the deckchairs they'd found at the edge of the ship, just outside the fitness centre, they'd topped up on Appleton and sat sipping, letting the sea take the effects "I guess we better get dressed for dinner" she frowned "Sushi" she smiled.

"I guess I can put on my happy face now" Kate laughed.

"I guess" they walked back through the fitness centre their cabins were just outside it.

Sam & Mercy

Sam was flat out across the bed, obviously he'd over done it on the drink, Mercy smiled, it wasn't often she saw her man in that state and she had a good mind to take full advantage "Babe" she nudged him.

"What?" he jumped out of his sleep.

"Are you drunk?"

"A bit, more tired, that sun's burning" he opened his eyes again "Where you been?"

"On the ship" she laughed.

"Obviously" he smiled wiping his eyes "What was up earlier?"

"Nothing" she smiled "Kate and I just wanted you two to keep thinking you were in trouble and be on your best behaviour" she laughed.

"Worked for about a minute" he smiled pulling her onto the bed "It's feels like forever since I touched you" he hugged her into him "You know where my mind is, but we've got dinner in about half an hour".

"Everyone knows what time we're meeting, don't they?"

"Yeah" he kissed her neck "Come on let's get dressed" he poured himself a drink.

"Don't you think you've had enough?" she watched him walking towards the bathroom.

"Excuse me" he laughed "That was half empty when I got back" he opened the bathroom door "We need to talk when we get out of here" he closed the door behind him.

He'd just about got his shirt on when the door knocked again, they never had this many visitors at home, he answered the door ready for whoever it was "Hi" Grace stepped in "Where's Mercy?"

"She's in the bathroom, everything alright?"

"Yeah I just need to talk to her" Grace told him

"Get in line" he laughed.

"I'll leave it till dinner then" she grabbed the door handle.

"No" he stepped towards her "Mercy wouldn't let me live that down, wait, she'll be out in a minute".

Catch Up

Grace

Grace; who'd graduated top of her class in Biochemistry, was now 22, had joined her parents in Jamaica for two weeks and had taken that opportunity to spend time with her cousins, but here real reason was because of Spencer, they'd met because he was a regular visitor with Leon, when he was at University, he was three years older than her but they'd gelled quickly. Their first conversation had been awkward to say the least with Leon monitoring

Spencer walked into Leon's dorm while she was visiting, she'd been thinking about colleges and passed by on her way back from Michigan, that was her first choice and she was buzzing so much only Leon would understand her joy "Who's this?" Spencer asked looking her up and down.

"Dude" he stood up on the defence "This is my little sister"

"Sorry Dude, no offence" Spencer calmed him down, Best behaviour, scouts honour"

"Could I get some water?" Grace asked her brother.

"Sorry, I didn't get your name?" Spencer asked

"Grace" she smiled.

"Actually I knew that Leon talks about his brain box sister all the time" he laughed.

"Me a brain box, he's a musical genius" she turned to watch Leon pouring her water.

"Next you're going to be telling me he's the best brother ever" Spencer rolled his eyes.

"Oh" she laughed "He is, and if you don't think he's the best person you'v e ever met I'll be asking him to cut you loose".

"Of course he is" Spencer laughed "But I bet you could be a better friend".

"Are you hitting on your best friends little sister?"

"Yeah" he laughed, the conversation going back to general when Leon returned, that day she left campus having passed on her contact details to Spencer, a could of weeks later they were talking regularly, and things spiralled from there.

Leon had a rather strange conversation with her about a man like Spencer who was his best friend and how they should leave him out of things when they go sour, but he respected her choice and if he was it, as long as he treated her right, he had nothing to say. They hadn't plucked up enough courage to tell her parents what was going on so, for three years he'd been Leon's friend to the family, but somehow Grace knew her Mother knew more than she was letting on.

So this time around they had the freedom to visit a few beach parties, flirt, drink, and swim the days away, but by the end of the holiday, she was more than fed up with the men stood on top of the hill near her aunts hollaing profanities at her, wanting to see her face, or maybe something else. She was looking forward to the change of environment, these two weeks had been the most time she'd spent with Spencer alone in a while, and of course they'd decided it was time everyone knew about their relationship.

End Of Cath Up

"I like that" Grace touched the jacket to his shimmering black suit hanging up "Soft" she rubbed it against her cheek.

"We're going straight to the party afterwards" he smiled looking at the suit Mercy had it made for him "You sister has great taste".

"I know that" she giggled, watching the bathroom door open, and Mercy's head pop out.

"I thought I heard you talking" she smiled at her sister "What can I do for you?" she came out with a towel wrapped around her.

"I need to book in to talk about that yucky love stuff" she grinned.

"First thing in the morning" Mercy told her sternly "And do nothing until we've had that chat, you promised".

"I remember" she giggled getting up to leave.

"What did you want to talk about?" she turned to Sam asking when the door shut behind Grace.

"We need a bigger window than this, let's get tonight over with, Grace's talk in the morning, and we can get back to us after that".

"If you're sure" she walked up to him for a kiss before getting dressed, he put his tie on and sat watching her get dressed humming with a smile on his face, he was happy content, in love.

Sam (Mercy): If we met in another life (Met in another life) if we met on a different street (Oh)
Would you still be walking this direction?, would we still be walking at the same speed?
Would we still put up a fight? would you still make time for me?
I hope so (I hope so) I hope so, (oh, oh, oh, oh)

Both: I don't want to leave your mind to wander, I'll surround you, make you feel sure
Got desire to make this right, cause every single night I want to feel your soul
I want to grow old with you make the most with you (Oh) that's the goal
I want to grow old with you make the most with you (Oh) Mercy: I want to see your soul, Both: that's the goal

'Make the Most' by Lonr & H.E.R.

"Another memory of the happy times".

"If they weren't happy, they all brought us closer together".

"True, how do I look?" she got up flashing off her black evening gown touching every curve on its way down to her knees before it kicked off to do its own thing, being careful not to touch the floor.

"Come on let's go" he walked towards her laughing, grabbing her arm, and making for the door.

"Who's at the dinner?" she giggled at him not taking the bait as they made their way to the elevator.

"Just the family, Leon said he'd try, I don't know if Stevie invited Mom".

"Shit" she looked down at her shoes "I need to change these".

"But I brought you those especially for tonight" they looked down at the Stuart Weitzman Platinum's beautifully decorated with diamonds "What's wrong with them?"

"Nothing" she looked up at him "It's just, if I have to step on one of the Mom's necks, I don't want to pierce the skin".

"Are you serious?" he laughed "That's not going to happen, come on" he pulled her with him.
