Chapter 2: Sensei
When Liza Marie was released from the hospital. Noah had Blaine bring her to a warehouse outside of town. Blaine saw Rick's truck outside and when Noah walks up to his car he asks, "What are we doing here, Puck?" Noah doesn't say a word and takes Liza Marie out of her car seat before saying, "Time to watch Uncle Hulk kick some ass."
As soon as they enter the building, they heard a bunch of men chanting, "Puck!" over and over. Before Blaine and Liza Marie are watching Noah use skills, he learned while being in the Air Force to kick over fifty men's asses. After this, Noah takes them to a boys and girls club run by his buddy Eric Johnson and Noah taught Liza Marie how to box. This made Blaine feel a little bad that he didn't do that.
A week later, Blaine was asked to come to Liza Marie's school and Noah went with him. This time it was Rick's son that was the one that was bullying Liza Marie and when the two saw him. They noticed that he had a busted lip and two black eyes. The two men just smirked at each other and after the meeting, Rick says to Noah, " So, Puck are you a fag now or what because this is the third time I've seen you with this faggot." Noah doesn't say a word and just punches Rick in the face. Then he says, "I'm the Uncle Hulk his daughter keeps talking about."
This made Rick say, "Puck, man, what's happened to you? I thought once you got away from those singing geeks. That you would wise up and go back to being the Puck i remember. But you are nothing but a pussy whipped pansy." Noah punches Rick in the face again before saying, "You're the one that needs to wise up here! My niece is very sick and doesn't need your homophobic son harassing her." Rick just says, "Puck, did you ever think the reason that she is sick is because God doesn't like that she is the daughter of fags?!"
Noah punches Rick again as Burt comes in the room then looks at Blaine before saying, "That little girl is my best friend, you son of a bitch, and her getting cancer is not a goddamn punishment from God! Now, if I hear that your son is messing with her again. You will be the one paying for it! Got it?!" Rick doesn't say a word this time and just leaves before Noah storms out of the room with an angry look on his face.
Blaine and Burt find Noah standing in front of Elizabeth Hummel's grave crying. When he calmed down he says, "My dad said she deserved to die for having Kurt as a son the night he left. Now, Liza Marie is sick and could die. I know she is Blaine's daughter, but like I said earlier she's my best friend. I never got to bond with Beth the way I have with Liza Marie and I'm sorry if I made you or Kurt feel like shit, Blaine." Noah doesn't give Blaine a chance to speak and just leaves.
Liza Marie was back in the hospital by now and when the men enter her room. They see Noah lying next to her asleep and Kurt talking to Quinn at a table in the room saying, "I hate that he never got to bond with Beth too, Quinn, but I feel like I'm being replaced by Puck sometimes." Which makes Burt say, "She is still your daughter son and I can tell Puck is just helping her deal with all this. He doesn't want to replace you or Blaine, he just wants to be her friend. She is his best friend and he is just afraid to lose another best friend."
This time Noah didn't leave her side and was there every day. Helping her when she had to go through chemotherapy and trying to keep her spirits up. He even let her shave his head after he shaved her's. Everybody could tell that Noah was the best thing for Liza Marie and that she was the best thing for him. Even the guys in Fight Club could see the change in him and see that she was the motivation for him to continue winning every fight. He taught her how to be brave and she taught him how to be a better man.
