Vytas has been clenching his eyes shut for awhile now. He felt a cold breeze blow across him. His eyes bolted open and he stood up with a fighting stance. His eyes frantically darted around- looking for danger. His eyes didn't find anything though, he was just in the middle of a field next to the shore. Vytas's eyes lazily went over his surroundings. The grass was a perfect yellow-green colour but the sky was breathtaking. Its was populated with a few fluffy clouds and had an orange tinge to it, with purple creeping down from the heavens. He stood there gazing at it for what seemed like hours. "Where .. Am I?", Vytas said. He turned his back from the scenery and started going towards a barn he could see in the distance. "Civilisation", He muttered.
He stared at the barn blankly while he trudged toward it, looking like a zombie- void of emotion. He was thinking about his family, where he was and what the blue figure did to him. Suddenly his foot hit something and he was jerked back to reality- while he was thinking about what happened he failed to notice a blue and white creature laying spread out on the ground. Its eyes were closed and it had quite a few bruises and scratches. Vytas's eyes moved over it so slowly it looked like he was scanning it. While he was doing that, the gears in his head started turning. He recognised it. "Latios", He said- sounding breathless.
What did this mean? Is he in the Pokémon world? The excitement boiling up inside him was muffled by the sense of how alone and how little he knew about this place- plus the worry that was overpowering his senses. "My parents", Vytas said quietly. He felt like shedding tears but he didn't feel any sadness. Instead he just stared at the creature. He didn't feel anything- no anger, no sadness, just empty.
He looked ahead of him, towards the barn. "Shelter", He mumbled- and Vytas walked on, disregarding Latios and making a beeline for the barn. "Help .. Me", Vytas heard a voice in his head. He ignored it, not even sparing a look at Latios, he knew it was him. "Please, I- I beg ..", Latios's voice was cut off by Vytas suddenly turning around violently. "Wha- What're you doing?" Latios inquired. "Shutting you up", Vytas said. Latios was wide eyed, what's going to happen to him? "W-What do you mean?" Latios managed to say. Vytas roughly handled Latios and held onto him using both hands, then he resumed his march towards the barn. Latios inwardly sighed 'Phew, I thought he was going to hurt me, he said that so menacingly '
Vytas settled Latios's limp body onto a wall in the barn, then he got some hay and laid Latios down gently. "What happened to you?", Vytas said in a baritone. "Well, I- We went through some- portal and .. I don't know- I crash landed here ..", Latios explained, "No, how did you end up in my .. World, and why did you tackle me", Vytas droned on. Latios's eyes shook as he stared at Vytas "I used teleport .. Just to- get ice cream in my world- and uhm .. Well I ended up in your world and your- house. Thats when I heard you call to your parents- I was already invisible then, so I watched you in silence and thats when the storm came. The thunder scared me and I rushed forward and tackled you into- your television", Latios said shakily. Vytas stared into Latios's ruby eyes, presumably thinking. Latios stared back with a faint blush ' Why is he staring at me, it's like he's staring right through me ' So then Latios started looking away at other things from time to time. It looked like he was trying to look away but couldn't. Vytas finally came to a conclusion and looked behind him, then faced Latios again "You're a pretty wimpy ledgendary then-" Vytas smiled slightly. Latios's brain was going slow motion because of all the staring, so when Vytas looked away, he inwardly thanks Arceus. Then he once again panics when Vytas turns his head back towards him and looks at him smiling- its a genuine smile.
"Latios, do you know where we are?", Vytas asked "O-oh haha, uhm .. We're in Sinnoh, I think", Latios ended with a nervous laugh. "Oh, thank god for that", Vytas said aloud. "Are you okay?", Vytas questioned "Oh m-me? Im fine- I just need to charge up my psychic powers", Latios answered. Vytas started pacing around the barn "How far away are we from civilisation?", He said, facing Latios. "I- I don't know, Sinnoh is an island, so its- relatively simple to traverse it" Vytas then walked over to Latios and sat down next to him. He crossed his legs and put his hands on the ground next to him. "I guess we have to wait until your powers come back", Vytas acknowledged. "I guess so ..", Latios agreed.
The silence was deafening, it was quiet- exept for the occasional breeze and buckling of the barn's wood. Latios slowly regained his strength and was able to sit up independently now, he looked over at Vytas- he was staring at the opposite side of the barn wall. Latios looked at his face, then hastily looked at his paws and fidgeted with them when Vytas slowly turned his head to look at Latios. "You okay? You look a little red there, do you have a cold?", Vytas asked- a concerned look on his face. "N-no! Its nothing!", Latios blurted out. "Are you sure?", Vytas looked at him "Y-yeah, don't worry about me, haha .. uhm .." Vytas resumed looking at the barn wall and Latios resumed staring at him. It was like a never-ending cycle.
With his new found acquaintance Latios and his knowledge of atleast something, Vytas felt reassured about their predicament- he was confident he'd make his way back home.
