'Alright listen up' Harry instructed the eager first years in front of him 'There will be no messing about while you are in the air, first time I have to remind anyone of that, you will receive detention'

Muttered whispers could be heard among the students, they didn't want to risk getting detention or sent to Headmaster Snape, Harry heard one of them tell their friend. He chuckled to himself the big bad headmaster could still render a student frozen in fear.

'Everyone step up to your broom' Harry called 'Stand beside it Mr Walker not at the end of it'

'Now when I give the word I want you all to say 'Up' on the count of three, 1, 2, 3

A chorus of students instructing their brooms to rise into the air echoed around the courtyard, Harry watched on a several brooms flew up into the waiting hands of their owners, some trembled and jumped about, others patiently waited for the next step in the process.

Before he gave out the next instruction, Harry mounted his own broom, ready to assist any students who may get into trouble while hovering about. Images of the Neville soaring through the air on his rogue broom, during their very first flying lesson ran through Harry's mind. Better to be safe than sorry he mused.

Walking back to the castle after the first lesson had finished, Harry reflected that it hadn't gone that badly, most of the students handled hovering quite well, only two had to be rescued after getting over excited about lifting off the ground. Other than that, they had all enjoyed themselves and told Harry they couldn't wait for the next lesson.

Three weeks later the Quidditch trials had been scheduled, Katie had organised for the Gryffindor tryouts to be held on Thursday evening after dinner, Ron had asked Harry to come and cast his eye over them, see what he thought, maybe give him some tips. It wasn't unusual for the Flying Instructor to be present at the tryouts, Rolanda Hooch had often been there, she also refereed the games, which Harry would be doing come the start of the season.

Ginny got to the pitch early and dressed in her Quidditch uniform, looking around as she came out of the change rooms she spotted Harry standing near the edge of the grounds talking to Ron, waiting for her brother to leave, the ginger haired witch sauntered over to Harry.

'Wish me luck Harry' Ginny said in a sickly sweet voice 'Hope you will be cheering me on' she rubbed a finger down the length of his arm.

'Asking for a detention this early in the term are you Miss Weasley?' Harry said coldly 'Perhaps you had better join the rest of your classmates before you get into more trouble'

'You know you want me' Ginny whispered, her breath dangerously close to Harry's ear

'You have 30 seconds to be on that ground or I will personally see you are banned from Quidditch for the entirety of the year' Harry growled

'Going to tell hubby on me are we?' Ginny scoffed walking out onto the pitch

Harry drew in a few deep breaths to quell his temper from rising to a dangerous level, he would not let the silly brat goad him into reacting, it was exactly what she wanted from him, Harry wasn't about to give her the satisfaction. Finding a place in the grandstand he looked out over the pitch, watching as the team took to the air one by one, demonstrating their skill, as Katie and Ron watched from the ground. A familiar feeling went through Harry as the tryouts unfolded, it was the same feeling he used to get before a game.

Ginny walked into the common room a smug look on her face; she had made the team if only by the skin of her teeth, Katie had seen fit to reprimand her twice for not concentrating on what she was doing. Admittedly she had been watching Harry sitting in the grandstand with Professor McGonagall, and almost missed a goal because of it, apart from that it went exceptionally well. Katie would be eating her words right about now, tomorrow she would apologise to Ginny for misjudging her.

'How did the trials go?' Severus asked his husband, when Harry walked into their rooms

'Really well, I think each team will pose a challenge to other' Harry replied

'Miss Weasley secure a spot?' Severus ventured

'Yeah, Katie didn't want to but she had no choice in the end, although saying that she isn't the best chaser on the team this year' Harry countered 'Darius Hardwick will give her a run for her money'

'Minerva mentioned he was one to look out for' Severus answered

'She was all over me before the trials started' Harry said with an air of disgust

'What did you do?' Severus asked in an even tone

'Told her she had 30 seconds to get onto the pitch or risk being banned for the year' Harry replied

'Good, she does anything like it again, send her to me' Severus quirked a brow

'Yes Headmaster' Harry giggled

'Imp' Severus chided pouncing on his husband, emitting a squeak when he plundered his mouth.

Zacharias Smith watched the ginger haired witch from over the rim of his cauldron, she was quite good looking, if not a little plain, but beggars couldn't be choosers, she was certainly too good for I am the hero of the world Harry Potter, Mr I get everything handed to me because I married the headmaster.

He never understood what she saw in the arrogant prat, rumour had it she was obsessed with him, had even been trying to break up his marriage with Snape. Might have to see if he couldn't get her to changer her mind focus her energy on him.

'Looks like Zacharias Smith has the hots for Weasley' Seamus whispered to Draco, they were sitting in Potions class while Professor Slughorn prattled on at the front of the room.

'He'll be sorry' Draco snorted, following his lover's eye over to the sandy haired Hufflepuff

'Hasn't got a chance in hell' Vincent Crabbe chimed in

'I'm sure Harry would be more than happy for him to take her off his hands' Greg Goyle chortled

'That he would' Draco agreed, chopping his slugs and tipping them into his cauldron

'Right everyone you should be near to completing your potions, remember to turn the heat off as soon as it starts to boil, not a second later or they will be ruined' Horace addressed the room

One by one the students carefully monitored their potions, poised to turn the heat of at the exact right moment, Professor Slughorn may not have been as strict as Professor Snape, but he was still a task master in his own right, he didn't tolerate sloppy brewing or failure to understand and follow instructions.

Harry walked into his classroom 3 days later to find a folded piece of paper on his desk. Picking it up and first checking it for any spells, charms or potions, he opened it. Anger boiled in his veins, as he read the form to file for divorce, it had already been filled out.

He hurried from his rooms and straight up to Severus' office. This was because he had stupidly smiled at her a few days ago, he was walking back to the castle lost in his own thoughts, and bumped into someone, without realising who it was, Harry gave them a smile and apologised for not watching where he was going. It was too late by the time he noticed just whom he had smiled at. Ginny had all but skipped her way along the corridors.

'Enter' Severus called, hearing an urgent knock at his door.

'Harry what's wrong love' he exclaimed, when his husband entered his office face aflame with fury

'I found this on my desk' he seethed slamming the document down on Severus' desk

Severus picked it up and read over the page, his frown deepened and the vein in his neck pulsated, he looked over at his distressed husband and gathered him into his arms.

'It's a fake love, but I will send it to Kingsley just to be sure' Severus assured him

'I know it was her' Harry mumbled into his husband's chest 'God I wish she would just leave me alone'

'Me too, darling, why don't you go and rest on the couch, while I call Kingsley' he kissed him gently before moving to the fireplace.

Kingsley looked over the document carefully, his brows furrowed in concentration, it had been that way for the past 10 minutes. Waving his wand over it a final time, he set the paper down on Severus' desk and faced the pair.

'The good news is it's a fake, delivered by owl order, we had an influx of them at the Ministry a few years ago, someone's ideas of a practical joke, the bad news is the writing has been cleverly masked, it's play into the whole anonymity of who sent the form' Kingsley explained

'I know who it was' Harry said tersely 'Just can't prove it'

'Care to elaborate Harry?' Kingsley answered

'Ginerva bloody Weasley' Harry said through clenched teeth

'Oh I see' Kingsley shook his head 'didn't take kindly to you and Sev getting married I take it?'

'Not in the slightest' Severus replied 'She has been making a nuisance of herself where Harry is concerned of late'

'What triggered this then?' Kingsley asked pointing the offending document

'I bumped into her a few days ago, didn't know who it was at the time I apologised and smiled, before I could react she was skipping off down the hallway' Harry said dryly

'What do you want to do Harry, I can take question her, but it might be hard to prove anything, and it isn't like she will freely admit to sending you that' Kingsley said sombrely

'I will keep an eye on her, speak to her teachers and Minerva' Severus interjected 'I'm sure there's something she has done to warrant a detention with Argus'

'You are an evil man Sev' Kingsley chuckled 'Don't worry Harry the big bad headmaster won't let anything happen to you, neither will I, anyway I better go and meet my husband before he sends me one of these'

'Say hello to Blaise for us' Harry smiled weakly

'Will do Harry' Kingsley chortled before stepping into the fireplace.

Ginny was anxiously waiting the arrival of Severus and Harry the next morning in the Great Hall, the look on Harry's face was like thunder yesterday when he found the paper on his desk, it was sure to have caused a massive argument between him and the dungeon bat, which means she was one step closer to making Harry hers.

It had seemed the logical choice, after the rumour she had attempted to start fizzled out before it even got going, no one seemed interested that Severus was having sordid affairs all over the place. Everyone content to leave he and Harry to their business, well she wasn't, one way or another Harry James Potter would be hers come the end of the school year.

The staff entrance opened and Harry walked in followed closely by Severus, who gave his hand a squeeze before sitting in their respective seats. Ron came in not long after and sat down beside Harry, spooning porridge into his bowl. Ginny scowled as she sipped her pumpkin juice, maybe it hadn't worked as well as she thought, she would wait and see if the greasy git, gave Harry his usual goodbye kiss before parting ways.

Half an hour later, true to form Severus kissed his husband goodbye at the staff door, before holding it open for him and leaving to start the day. It made her want to be violently ill. Now she had to come up with another plan to make Harry realise he belonged with her, leaving the table, Ginny went back to Gryffindor Tower, she had a letter to write before class.

'You're late Miss Weasley' Minerva said sternly, when the ginger haired witch raced into the transfiguration room 20 minutes after the bell had sounded.

'Sorry Professor overslept' Ginny lied, taking her seat.

'As I saw you leaving the hall after breakfast Miss Weasley I don't see how that's possible' Minerva snapped '20 points from Gryffindor and detention with Mr Filch'

'Damn it' Ginny muttered under breath, slamming her book onto the table, her day wasn't getting off to a very good start, she had written the letter and rushed to the owlery to get it delivered right away, by the time she did that, class had started and she was late, the thought of skipping altogether crossed her mind, but old McGonagall would have come looking for her, so she settled for being late.

Hermione stood at the front of the room with Professor McGonagall, she was responsible for the lesson that day, as Minerva had some work that needed to be finished, Ginny glowered at her looking all prissy and important. No doubt she would get a real laugh out of her being given detention. Hopefully the person she had written the letter to would come through for her and Ginny could rub it in their faces when she and Harry was a couple.

When class had finished, Minerva asked Ginny to remain behind, she was given her instructions for detention, Mr Filch was helping Hagrid clean out the Hippogriff paddock that evening, Ginny was to be the extra pair of hands, if that wasn't bad enough, she then had to help milk the flobberworms for their mucus, Professor Slughorn used it in some of his potions. Minerva gave her a note, to give to Mr Filch and Hagrid.

'But I have Quidditch training tonight Professor' Ginny complained

'Should have thought of that before you were late to class Miss Weasley' Minerva replied in her strict tone

'Feel like I haven't seen you for ages' Ron mumbled as he kissed Katie gently

'I know, but we have time now' Katie smiled

'Mmm let's not waste it then' Ron grinned, pulling her closer

'Please get a room' a voice snipped

'What do you want Ginerva?' Ron snapped

'I have to talk to your girlfriend, do you think you can refrain from shoving your tongue down her throat long enough for me to say what I need to?' Ginny quipped

'Make it fast' Ron glared at his sister

'What is it Ginny?' Katie asked in a cold tone

'Won't be able to make training tonight, have detention' she huffed

'You don't train tonight you can't play on Saturday' Katie replied

'Talk to McGonagall then, she gave me the detention, and I hardly think missing one session calls for me to be benched' Ginny snarled

'I don't make the rules Ginerva, you know that's the way it's always been, you miss a session you sit out' Katie retorted 'if one of the other chasers gets injured then you can replace them'

'Whatever' Ginny shot back, turning on her heel and storming away

'Now where were we?' Ron smirked, once his sister was out of sight

'Somewhere around here' Katie giggled making a circle over her face

'Think it was somewhere about here' Ron purred running his hand up her thigh and between her legs

'Do you now?' Katie whispered

'Definitely Miss Bell' Ron husked

'Ginny I want you to take that shovel there and go to the far corner and start there' Hagrid instructed the sulking ginger haired witch

'Yes Hagrid' Ginny muttered, stomping over to the place Hagrid pointed out. He had given her a disappointing look when Filch had turned up to help the giant with her in tow.

She didn't think he'd ever been overly fond of her, preferring her brother, Harry and Hermione's company. All that would change when she and Harry became official, they would treat her as the girlfriend of the Saviour should be treated.

Casting a smelling charm over her nose, she got to work; the sooner she got started the sooner she could leave. An hour later the paddock was clean and ready for the hippogriffs to move back into. While Hagrid saw to that, Filch led her back to the giants hut, where the container of flobberworms were ready and waiting to be milked.

Her stomach turned at the mere thought of having to touch the disgusting slimy things with their two faces and strange bodies, she could see the thick green coloured mucus gathering at what supposed were their mouths, although it was anyone's guess.
