My Little AmuSphere
Chapter 1: The VMMO Veteran
Four Months Earlier...
The School Bus is being seen driving through the road. It slowly stops and Out comes the Kids. One of them is a Brown Haired Kid Derek with a Green Shirt with a Brown Backpack, jogging with his Blue Jeans and White Tennis shoes, glasses which doesn't help block out the sun, but help with his Poor Eyesight.
Derek is seen walking up to his House's Frontdoor, door lock mechanic heard unlocking when he noticed the hi-tech pad on the side of the front door.
"Hello, Derek. How was school." That voice has to be his Step Mother. Thank goodness the security was installed for the door in case some burglars tries to break in again. Derek had to hide his Gaming Consoles many times. And Derek's new School, Friendship High ran by Principal Twilight Sparkle.
"It was good, Miss." Derek responded, bowing like any japanese person though he isn't. "I met some good new friends who also plays on the AmuSphere."
"You did? That's sweet." she commented, "I told you this School is great for Forging Friendships." and clears her throat, "Now, aside from supper I sent for you, the internet should be working now. It will last us for a year until I need to renew it. What is today?"
"September the 4th, 2119, And it is Monday I believe." Derek answered,
"That is correct. So at 2120, at the Same Date," she explains, "this is where you should remind me."
"I understand, Miss." Derek nodded, "But now I got a Game to do."
"I know you do." she said, "Good luck with your VMMO, and play nice and fair."
Derek nodded in response and opened the door. 'I think she means good luck going back.' He smiles in his thoughts, 'They're gonna flip at the Current Level I have.' He took time to eat his bowl of spaghetti and cooked meat chunks, before washing up the dishes and going upstairs to his bedroom where his VR Console is still in tact. It is shaped like a book, inside is where the Game Card is inserted, Shaped like any play cards with enough size to fit the stuff.
And the controller itself. The Helmet. Consisting of two metal overlapping rings. These come in different sizes, especially for those with big heads. This one is perfect. Not XL size, but medium size for his head. He puts it on and lays himself on the bed, face up. Clock Ticking down, heart pumping slowly, inhaling and exhaling the air over and over, slowly, before letting out the phase.
"Link... Start!" The Visor lights up. Colorful Pillars showering through his vision. The Windows show all the stats signalling 'OK'. Touch, Sight, Hearing, Taste, and Smell. All light up green and goes away. Language shows up, followed by English. There, he sees plenty of game titles hovering. Derek counted four. The top showing which Game Card is inserted.
"Choose your Game."Derek does not hesitate, picking the one that says, 'Sixteen Elements online'. Now cutting to black before fading to the colorful and almost realistic 360 cinematic video, with a narrative voice explaining the story.
"In the 1800s Decades,
somewhere in the
Far-away Realm.
There are people
who are gifted on
birth with amazing
magic powers of the
Sixteen Elements.
This can be traced
to the Great Ancient
Dragon who controlled
all Sixteen Elements.
They call it Subehoko,
and it was Slain
by the Trusted Party
of Heroes.
Before it's death,
Subehoko vowed to
cursed the people
for not listening
to reason.
Those who were
Cursed, were deemed
too dangerous and
went under hiding
from the Kingdom,
preparing to resist
and fight back.
One of those Cursed
now at war against
the Heroes of the
Kingdom, influenced
by the Human King,
is you.
Welcome back, to
Sixteen Elements Online!"
Derek sees his avatar. Green Robed with Long Brown Hair, showing that his level is now Seventy. The Play Style reading: 'Two Phases', showing four Element Symbols. One that swirls mass amount of lines, another being a tree, other which are green flames, and last being purple megaphone. It only takes thirty seconds before he finds himself teleported to the forest.
He collects how he got here since he took a break from this game. But then looks up in the sky.
"Ahh! Now I remembered." Derek said, "I rested here after the Guild-on-Guild Warfar-" but stopped to remember, his Guild Title is no longer here. "Oh right. Because of the Order I am forced to disobey to help other comrades." He remembers being in the Guild known as 'Northern Mets'. While the Guild is nice, it is very strict on Following Orders. "Righto, time for a Refresher."
He heads deeper into the forest where zombie mobs are wandering around. "Just like before. Poison." The Magic aura fires up on his right hand. And then, "Mutagen," he thrust his palm into the air and his arms turn wyvern wings, with his claws in tact. He runs and takes flight, gliding and flying up to the clifftop. Before dispelling the magic, his wings shatters into pixel bits, reverting to his normal arms. "And now, Normal Poison." he aims his palm and fire fiery bolts of poison, which hits the Zombies left and right.
The zombies being 20 levels lower, giving Derek minimal experience points, but plenty of know-to basis to refresh.
"Wind! Gas!" His Palms fire a cone-shaped steam of gas. All being white, knocking the whole mob to sleep. "Next. Wood! Mana!" A Magic Circle opens from both palms of Derek's, before twenty missiles launched onto the Zombies each, being fragged equals exploding into blocky pixel dusts. "And lastly, Sound! Pressure!" Derek slides down the opposite side of the hill, and lunges his feet onto the water, simply standing on it. "In this game, Magic are my only weapons."
This VMMO has unique rules in Derek's minds. There are no weapons or fighting skills. The only way to fight is by Magic Spells of the Sixteen Elements.
But now, noticing the Gauge floating on top left corner, stuck to his frontal head. Life and Mana. "I'm very glad that I'm using the AmuSphere and not the NerveGear." Derek shuddered saying the word. Knowing that if a Player dies when using a NerveGear, it dies in real life. The incident which happened involving the Public Release of 'Sword Art Online'. His step-brother who went to japan hinted about trying out Sword Art Online, only to find out it's a Trap. He cannot log out, and the only way is to defeat the final boss. He did not make it, nor did most the players that were rumored. But the bright side is the Developer of this game got arrested. Derek have not touched a single VMMO until the launch of AmuSphere, and the Launch Games.
"Excuse me!" Derek turns around to find a two-legged horse creature in a similar clothing of the players who got those from that previous town. But the humanized horse person, AKA pony in their tongue.
"Yeah, that's right." Derek said, knowing he is one of the nickel to be human, and resistant ot the Ponification or Creaturefication. But that means Derek is considered a Creature as a Pure Human, while the rest is humanized.
"Hi, I'm looking for the Mob of Zombies." he said, "I'm suppose to go there for the Quest."
Derek decides to be helpful for this random player, "Oh, it is this way." he pointed with his thumb behind him, "Though you'll have to wait a bit until they fully respawn."
"What do you mean res- Wait, you kill them all?" he asked in shocked face, and Derek nodded,
"But there are more Zombie Mobs than this one." Derek assured,
"But, you're Level 80." he said, "Why'd you go kill that Mob?"
"Apologies if I did so." Derek does a Japanese bowing, "I need to refresh what I can do in this game. It's been long."
"AH-HA! THE DISGRACER OF NORTHERN METS!"
Derek turns around to find a pony in this Orange/Brown outfit, with a golen yellow headwear. A british cap it is wearing. And it is looking mad. It jumps and lands, leaving seisimic quakes, but Derek kept his feet. He looks at the random player, "You better Run. This might get rough." he nodded and makes a sprint for it. "Earth and Fire..." he reads the aura, being a gradient of brown and yellow. "Great with Smoke, Clay, and Lava. It had to be you, Gravel Club." He is a Grayish Brown pony with dark crimson mane, and yellow eyes. His outfit suits a Cowboy Outlaw. Long Sleeve with a black vest, and a black pants. He looks very beefy.
"That I am!" he said, "Our Northern Mets are now destroyed because of you! You exposed our friend Ricky Privateer!"
Ahh, Ricky. Derek shook his head, A Former friend who turned out to be a Jerk. "Well it's for the greater good then." he begins to speak, "Your guild fell from the Grace when you guys" he pointed at Gravel Club as to accuse someone, "abused your power by bribing and threatening in secret."
"You will pay for all of this!" he threatened, before a Magic Spear Flag falls from the sky, stapling onto the ground, red flag showing swords clashing, with a shield on the back.
"He's issuing a Duel." Derek turns to inspect. Level 81. "My Level is very close, so I should do well on this." then turns to the Request menu and clicks accept.
"Elementalists Ready?!" Derek raises his finger, magic aura coating, consisting of nature and magic. Gravel's ground shakes, cracks come follow by hot lava, shaped as a holy cross. "En Garde!"
Gravel Club going first, a Stomp firing a stream of cracks follow by geysers of fire.
"Poison! Mutagen!" Derek quickly shouted before turning his legs into the Kangaroo Legs, jumping to left and then right when Gravel fires again. Then Gravel lunges his fist, shooting a ball of fire. "I know that Spell." Derek jumps super front over Gravel Club. Behind him is where the Fireball lands and explodes, ruining most of the trees. Derek turns around and raise his unconverted palms, "Pure Wind!" pull and lunge, heavy blast of wind punching Gravel Club into the chest and sending him flying, straight to the untorn tree. A nice hit for Derek, as Gravel's Life Gauge drops by two dimes.
"WHY YOU!" Gravel yelled in rage, "SMOKE SCREEN!" a puff on the ground unleashing a screen of grayish fog.
"Oh please." Derek scoffs, "I still have Wind." and he demonstrates by using both palms, swinging and blasting wind, repelling all the smokeness only to find no Gravel Club in his sight. He looks around, turning to make sure he doesn't get backstabbed. He then looks up to find Gravel Club with a Hard Clay Hammer.
"I WILL SMASH YOU APART!" Gravel shouts his action, before Derek jumps forward and does a three-sixty turn.
"My turn!" Derek called out, "Pure Sound!" he rasies his head and lunge with his mouth open, letting loose of the Dragon Screech, forcing Gravel to cover his ears while gritting his teeth. "Now! Poison, Mutagen!" Derek's arms turning wyvern wings, jumping up and flapping his wings, flying up and then diving down before delivering a Football Punt with his Kangaroo Legs. A powerful blow that knocks Gravel over three trees before just laying on top.
In frustration, Gravel bangs on the tree with both fists, and gets up on his hooves.
"Congrats. You've just finally PEEVED ME OFF!" Gravel stated, "SUPER ELEMENT ARMOR!" elemental aura explodes and grows into a big fire, as he is coated in this red fiery energy, before unshrouding to show his Red Armor with a Demonic Axe.
"Ahh, so that's the Super Element Power." Derek points with a smile, "I never thought those exist in the last updates." his arms and legs revert to his humanoid form.
"Well NOW YOU DO!" Gravel Club shouted, with rage still burning inside him, "AND THAT MEANS I'M GONNA HUMILIATE YOU OVER AND OVER AND OVER!" before letting out a warcry.
"Well, you showed your Super Element Power, Gravel Club." Derek nodded, "Now I can show you my Super Element Pet." he brushes his hands, "Pure Sound!" he lets out the Echoing Call voice into the air, and then waits for thirty seconds.
"Wha- That's all?!" Gravel Club asked, and then laughs, "Oh this is rich! You STILL lack a Super Element Attack! This is gonna be-" Derek stops with a raised 'one-moment' finger, before coming are the beastly thumps. Coming behind is a Wyvern in Golden Armor, shining great aura of the heroics. Derek jumps on top of it.
"This is great for those wanting to call an army too." Derek smirked,
"An Army?!" Gravel Club gulped, before looking to find two more Wyvern in heroic armors, this time silverly. Gravel Club grunts and raised his Axe, "B-BIG DEAL! I Can still kill those Bucks!"
"Then you're asking for a Suicide." the voice came not from Derek this time. She fires a bolt that incinerates the duel flag, getting rid of the barrier. "I am aborting this Duel." and revealed to be in a princess robe with purple mane, and purple eyes, bright lavender wings flapping before landing in front of Gravel Club. "Apologies, my Student. But I need to bring this guy to justice."
"Principal Twilight?" Derek said, "You play here too?"
"More than that. I'm one of the VMMO Officials, who has the authority to judge and execute." she turns to Gravel Club with a Stern Look, "Now Gravel. I believe I am not done dishing out punishment to you. You are being charged for abusing other players, aiding the criminals of this Guild, and barging into multiple private houses." magic chains bind Gravel Club, the Hexagonic window appears on top of him. It blinks 'Sentence' repeatedly, before shifting to 'Permanent Ban'. "And that means your Game Card will be incinerated, and other Store Clerks will refuse to let you buy that same game. And to make sure you will not try again, the Cops will come to pick you up." and Derek watches as Gravel Club flashes blindly to red color before shatters into pieces of glass, all dissolving ti pixels afterwards.
"Kinda Harsh," Derek said, "But Gravel got what he deserved."
"I'd like to Thank you for Exposing the Northern Mets." Principal Twilight turns around, "They think it's the wrong thing to do, but I believe you did it the correct way."
"You're welcome," Derek nodded, "But what about Ricky Privateer?" followed by his question.
"We've no idea where he is hiding." she answered, "But we'll need to stay on Guard. He has plenty of tricks to ruin the friendship within VMMO. Now, should you get to bed Soon? You'll need to study serious for the pop quiz."
'Well', Dereks sighed and keep his thoughts, 'At least I know they also play VMMOs'.
