A couple of minutes later, Amity was placing a wet towel on Luz's forehead as she laid on the couch.
"She's been training hard the last few days, trying to find new glyphs and practicing them every minute of the day," said Lilith who sat in a chair drinking some coffee.
"That's Luz for you, putting everything she has in what she does," said Amity with a smile while stroking some hair out of Luz's face. Amity was sitting on the coffee table as she did this.
"You really care for this human, don't you?" asked Lilith who had a smile of her own.
"Honestly, I think I have had a crush on her for a while now, I think I started to fall for her back when we were trapped in the library one night by my siblings," said Amity as she stood up with the help of her crutches.
"Have you told her?" asked Lilith.
"I tried to ask her to Grom, but that didn't go so well; I'll probably never get the courage to tell her," said Amity as she headed for the door.
"I have to get home before anyone finds out that I snuck out, tell Luz that I said hi and that I hope she gets better," she said before leaving.
"You can stop pretending to be asleep now, kid," said Eda as she looked down at Luz after a few seconds.
"Just for the record, I was asleep for a few minutes," said Luz as she sat up while holding the rag to her forehead.
"But how much of our conversation did you hear?" asked Lilith who gave the human a quizzical raise of her eyebrows.
"I heard everything from the moment that she said she has a crush on me," said Luz who was blushing. Meanwhile, as Amity was leaving the Owl House.
"You should just give up on her," said King, who was standing by a tree on the path that led away from the house.
"What do you mean?" asked Amity.
"Luz likes boys, not girls," said King as he passed by her while heading back to the house and not looking at the green haired witch.
"Oh," said Amity who had a saddened expression as she limped back home.
