The night had fallen upon the knight, Bruno Bucciarati, and his now father-in-law King Diavolo. They would have to spend another night in the wilderness and make a camp.
They had built a fire and were resting after a long day of hunting which mostly consisted of following around King Diavolo waiting for his "perfect kill". As for the knight, he was happy to wake up early and fish for an underwater beast to bring home. The longer he waited, the fresher the catch would be. He was excited to impress the princess with his unparalleled fishing skills.
By the fire they ate in silence the squirrel meat they had cooked, King Diavolo only spoke to his younger brother Doppio and Bucciarati was left alone with his own thoughts. He laid down on the trunk of wood he was currently sitting on, he was close enough to the fire to keep cozy and decided to look at the stars for a bit. It was one of his favorite pastimes. Anyone in the world regardless of status could look up at the sky and see the same beautiful stars.
He couldn't stop thinking of his Princess. All of a sudden his whole world revolved around her and he didn't mind at all. He liked everything about her and was anxious to get to know her more. He thought about the poems he had always loved to read and now that he was in love, he saw them with a fresh perspective. They described his feelings for the Princess perfectly, love poems and ballads suddenly made perfect sense. He wanted to share with the princess his feelings for her and read her his favorite poems. "You'll never understand how I feel." He had told King Diavolo when he asked why he'd fallen in love with his bratty daughter all of a sudden.
--
"The Princess is nothing but a spoiled brat, Sir Bruno. You have your hands full… I did my best to keep her in line... but she is still wild." King Diavolo lamented as he walked slowly across the wilderness and spotted an animal.
"I don't mind that at all." Said the Knight following behind the King's footsteps.
'You're completely smitten by her aren't you?" King Diavolo asked as he was aiming his rifle at the small creature, ever so carefully. "Such a fool…" He said in a lower tone.
"Is it really that strange to have fallen in love with my own wife?" Sir Bruno asked, feeling irritated he needed to clarify something that felt so natural to him.
"I'm just surprised… There's nothing special about my daughter and... " King Diavolo answered. "I've never seen anyone fall in love so quickly…"
Sir Bruno raised an eyebrow in disapproval. "Paris and Helen? Romeo and Juliet?" He said, recalling the songs and poetry he was so fond of.
"You mean foolish tales of love?" Diavolo asked, truly baffled by Bruno's soft heart.
"You'll never understand how I feel." He smiled. He'd married her, it was all the validation he needed.
--
As Bruno looked at the stars he kept thinking about the beautiful Princess, an exotic beauty if there ever was one. Her luscious long pink hair was something he would constantly daydream about, her porcelain skin was on another level, and as for her lips… He couldn't wait to kiss her lips. He wanted to be with her and kiss every inch of her, day and night if she'd let him. His heart dancing in his chest excitedly, simply thinking about being with the princess and seeing her pretty face again. He smiled. "Trish..." He called her name and continued looking up at the stars too excited to sleep.
--
The next morning in the castle the Princess was more than ready to welcome back the Knight. She kept walking to the courtyard waiting for the announcement of the Knight and King Diavolo's return.
She'd already changed outfits four times and had brushed her hair so many times she was practically electrical. "It's taking father way too long to return." She walked back and forth from The Queen's balcony.
"Father is very selfish, keeping my husband away from me like this." Said The Princess, annoyed that her father had sequestered her Knight.
The Queen mother smiled, "Be patient they'll be here soon enough. Why don't you paint or draw? Distract yourself for a bit, my sweet?"
"Mother I'm not going to welcome my husband with dirty hands." The Princess sassed, not moving her gaze from the window, her nose swiftly pointed up to get a better view out the valley. "I want to look perfect."
The Queen smiled, her daughter had fallen in love with the knight so quickly it was endearing.
"Then why don't we pay a visit to the tailor and see our dresses for tonight? We have Prince Giorno's coming of age ball. The seamstress said she would be here by noon to help you get ready, I'm sure she wouldn't mind."
Princess Trish folded her arms and rested them against the window and continued looking out across the kingdom, "No mother, I don't want to miss their arrival."
"Then I'll get the maid to make you some chamomile tea. You are driving me crazy, child." She scolded her impatient daughter.
"That's fine mother." Princess Trish turned to face her mother. "Ask her for lemon cakes as well, please? They're my favorite." The Princess asked.
"That's fine darling, I'll be right back." She kissed her daughter on the forehead and headed to the dining hall to speak to a maid about her daughter's sweet tooth.
A few minutes went by and then she finally saw them, across the hills his father's banners and entourage. They were almost home. The Princess smiled from ear to ear and quickly rushed down the stairs of her mother's chamber and into the courtyard. She waited by the gate and tried her best to be ladylike, but her heart couldn't be contained.
"Trish it's not ladylike to wait by the door!" The Queen shouted at her daughter. But it was too late, Princess Trish had ordered the guards to open the gates for her and, then lifted the front of her dress and ran into the field of poppies to cut across the hills and meet her Kight as quickly as possible.
Sir Bruno, tired from the journey, quickly perked up as soon as he saw her running to him from a mile away. His own smile grew from ear to ear. She was just as eager to see him as he was to see her. He quickly commanded Sticky Fingers to gallop and cut through the field of poppies to meet the princess, when he was close enough he jumped off of the horse and tried to embrace her but the princess was running so fast she knocked him back into the grass.
"Sir Bruno!" She shouted in glee and hugged him as strongly as she possibly could.
"Princess!" Bruno said laughing from being ambushed. "I have missed you…"
Princess Trish let go of his arms so she could take a better look at the face she'd long been waiting for, "I missed you too."
Sir Bruno then gently caressed her face and kissed her softly on the lips. But Princess Trish wanted much more than Sir Bruno's kisses. She had been daydreaming about the passionate kiss they'd exchanged, she wanted to continue. She quickly got up and pulled Sir Bruno up by the sleeve. "Let's go home!"
The Knight was embarrassed by his filthy clothes and hunter's smell, "My Princes… I'm filthy from the trip. I smell of nothing but wilderness and sweat."
Princess Trish looked back at Sir Bruno and gave him a sheepish smile, "Then we will have to give you a bath." And continued marching towards Sticky Fingers anxious to get home and continue kissing the Knight in the privacy of her chambers.
--
After greeting the family from their return and storing away Sticky Fingers, Sir Bruno found himself alone with the princess in her bath chamber. "Where is the shy maiden I left?" Bruno teased the princess between desperate rushed kisses.
"We don't have much time Sir Bruno, soon we'll have to start getting ready for the ball… And frankly… I haven't stopped thinking about you since you left."
She informed the Knight as she used one hand to test the delicious floral bath the maids had prepared in the tub for the Knight.
"...I haven't stopped thinking about you either." Sir Bruno said to the Princess, locking eyes with her. It didn't seem possible but she was even more beautiful than he remembered her. He cupped her face with his large hands and kissed her over and over, slowly savoring her plump lips tasting hints of lemon.
Princess Trish then started to help undress him. Last time she was too shy to even look at him naked, but not this time. This time she wanted to get to know him, all of him. She wanted to learn everything about Sir Bruno, her husband.
As for the Knight he couldn't stop kissing her, it was never enough, kiss after kiss. He'd never felt that way before about anyone. He felt lucky and excited and wanted to devour her, kissing and sucking every surface of her body.
"Get in the water…" She said gently commanded, observing him as he stepped away from her and into the tub. She saw his aroused manhood, and she swallowed hard and felt her inner thighs tingle. She wasn't scared anymore, she was curious and excited to be with him.
The Knight sat on the tub and splashed water on his face and slicked his hair back then looked back at The Princess. She'd begun to undress. "I'm going to join you... "
Sir Bruno watched the Princess undress as she worked on unraveling herself in front of him.
Once fully naked, she then stepped into the tub of warm water, her long pink mane now expanding away from her like a mermaid in the ocean. Bruno smiled, his whole life he'd dreamed about beautiful mermaids and often thought of them out in the sea as if preparing to meet her, the love of his life.
"Come here, darling." He said in a burly low tone, eager to feel her skin under his fingertips, and placed her on his lap. "I missed you." And then kissed lips, then her neck over and over, traveling down to her shoulders.
"I missed you too Sir Bruno, I never want to be away from you ever again." She responded and swayed her head sideways to better enjoy his kissing on her.
Sir Bruno smiled and responded, "You don't have to call me that when we're alone …I'm yours. We're married." And continued kissing more and more south of her collar bone enjoying the saltiness of her skin.
"Oh…" She moaned, "Bruno…" His tongue thrusting on her breasts had excited areas of her body that had never been excited before. "Darling... I-I love you…" She confessed. "The ache my heartfelt from your absence… I've never felt like this before… I-I love you… do you believe me?"
Bruno was happy and surprised to hear her confession and had stopped kissing her. When he looked her in the eyes, she was looking back at him completely worried, her soft-sculpted eyebrows kneading, waiting for his response as if he wouldn't reciprocate her feelings. He gently caressed her nose with his own. He would ease her heart in a few moments, but for now, he would relish in the sweet tone of her 'I love you'.
"Do you believe me when I say that I love you?" She said, once more.
Bruno gently kissed her and nodded. "Yes, for I love you too."
Princess Trish looked at him wide-eyed. "Do you mean it?!"
He nodded once more. "I swear it. From the moment I laid eyes on you… I loved you." He said, easing her worries, kissing her lips then going back to kissing her neck and chest. "You have my heart and soul."
The Princess smiled and hugged his head against her chest in pure bliss, knowing he felt the same way about her. "I never want to be away from you Bruno… I've never been so happy in my life, as I am now in your arms."
Sir Bruno wanted to continue his kisses, but he was inspired to say something he truly felt.
"My Princess… I'm not … good with words… But I will do anything and everything in my power for your happiness. I would lay my life for you." He said bearing his heart and soul to the young girl in his arms.
"I never want to be away from you, Bruno. I love you." She said and expressed all her love for him in a feverish kiss.
"We'll never be apart. I promise." Bruno said.
Then the door knocked.
"Princess Trish! We have to start getting you ready for the ball!" One of her maids called.
Princess Trish's smile disappeared and then she looked back at Bruno who was still kissing her chest. "I told you we didn't have much time…"
Bruno wrapped his kissing, then put his arms around her waist and embraced her tightly. "We have all the time in the world. We can continue tonight."
"You won't be tired from dancing?" She asked.
"PRINCESS WE ARE RUNNING LATE!!!" The maid continued to shout.
"I'm not much of a dancer…" Bruno confessed, ignoring the distress in the maid's voice.
The Princess smiled, another piece of information about her husband. "What else darling? Tell me one more thing about you to get me through the night."
"I read poetry… I would like to read some when we get home." He said to her.
"That sounds lovely darling…" She said excitedly. "Just lovely…"
"What about you Princess? Tell me something about you?" He said, also wanting to know everything about his wife.
"I love lemon cakes…" She smiled.
He smiled and kissed her shoulder. "Is that what I've been tasting?"
"I like to sing as well..." She said caressing his neck. She was perfect for him. Every word she spoke The Knight became more and more smitten by her.
"TRISH BEATRICE DONATELLA UNA!!!! Open the door or I'll have the guards open it for you!" The Queen's was now knocking outside the chamber.
"I'm coming, mother!!!" Princess Trish shouted in total annoyment then looked back at the gorgeous naked Knight between her legs and smiled.
"Do not sass me, young lady, you might be married now but you still have duties!" The Queen-mother yelled from behind the door.
"I love you, Trish." Sir Bruno said.
"I love you too, Bruno." Princess Trish answered.
