Well, good news! So am I! How about we get into it then?
Our story begins like many others. With our heroine waking up and discovering she is late for class.
You know, if it wasn't because of the late night akumas maybe Marinette would have a better sleep schedule, but sadly, we can't decide when Hawkmoth decides to be a whiny geezer. So Marinette is late for school, with her blazer backwards as she runs out of her house and towards the school doors with all the speed her legs can muster. The one thing missing would be a croissant in her mouth but we are not going to jump into anime clichés so soon.
Although, let's backtrack a few minutes here, because we already know how this goes, Marinette runs, she stumbles into class almost out of breath and arrives to her seat to be chided by Alya with a laugh and an excuse about her oversleeping. What we want to know is how our first (and fourth) contestant for Marinette's heart is doing. Because he's the closest we have at the moment.
Adrien was sitting on his place, tapping his fingers with the rhythm of a song he was sure no one else in his class would know (unless they wanted to admit their taste in anime) and letting his thoughts drift away.
He too had missed hours of sleep, but unlike Marinette, he was a little more accustomed thanks to his father's lack of a healthy work schedule involving minors. Needless to say, a tired mind brings out the rawest thoughts and as he kept tapping, he couldn't help but think of his classmate Marinette.
He had taken to heart Plagg's words, not like he was ever going to admit it to the cat kwami, and wondered about how much of 'she's just a good friend' was his way of hiding his blossoming emotions towards the girl.
He was not that dense, despite what he has heard behind closed doors, he had a feeling Marinette had some sort of attraction towards him, but he didn't have a way to confirm or deny said thing.
Now, his heart belonged first and foremost to his lady, the heroine of Paris, the girl that caught his heart when she stood ground against a maniac to protect everyone. Just to think of the fierceness in her eyes, the brightness in her smile, the way her posture held confidence, he was swooning all over again.
But! And this is where we come back to one Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Adrien had seen the exact same pose in his classmate Marinette. When she stood up to Chloe, when she stood up to Lila, when she protected her classmates. Over and over Marinette emulated things he had fallen for in Ladybug to the point where he had to consider how his own emotions even worked.
Adrien had called her their every day Ladybug for crying out loud! How was it that until now he was realizing Marinette was so similar to his lady it was bound to happen it would develop feelings towards her. Like a small rosebud about to blossom next to the red rose that was Ladybug's love.
And ugh, he shouldn't have watched Sailor Moon the previous day. Too late for that now.
Back to issue at hand, Marinette. Devoted, selfless, caring Marinette. Who would move the sky and earth for anyone in the class and would offer her hand to anyone in need and fight for justice and temperance, that Marinette.
But how exactly did this all start to formulate in Adrien's head? How did he give in to his kwami's teasing and started to think about Marinette, dear, sweet Marinette, in a romantic light? Why, with a group chat of course!
You know group chats, love them, hate them but the bane of our existence. Adrien has several group chats in his phone. For his friends of the school, fencing classmates, Chinese classmates, models, closer friend groups, and now there was a new one added to the list. The title of the group? 'The Fight for Courtship of one Marinette Dupain-Cheng.'
The full name adds drama to it, just roll with it. Adrien is not an admin on the group he did not put that kind of name.
Adrien was added to this group a day before. And in the said group, there were two people he knew, Kagami and Luka, and one that while he technically knew (as it was himself) he was confused as to how they got that number. Because right there, in the contact info, was Chat Noir.
How in the world did Kagami or Luka got his contact info as Chat Noir?
If his Lady were to find out he'd be in so much trouble.
The details of the group were simple. A group chat to state that there was a game to happen. A competition in fairness and equality. A fight, to be Marinette's romantic someone.
Why hasn't any of these teens considered polyamorous relationship yet you ask? Because if they did the story would have been over by now and we all know you are here for the shenanigans and maybe a little drama…?
Yeah right, this is the wildest love life, not the saddest love life. Let them run around a while first. Maybe one of these suitors will discover that hey, Marinette has two hands (and two feet).

Adrien had been in denial about his feelings for Marinette far too long. It wasn't until the prospect of not one, but two (or three but he was not sleep-deprived enough to count himself yet) others going after Marinette that he realized, he didn't want to lose her. A slight grin showed up on his face, covered by his mouth because Adrien Agreste did not grin.
They didn't know he was Chat Noir, so he had double the opportunities to win this game.
As if on cue from destiny, a new notification popped up in the group. A set of rules written by Kagami.
The rules behind the fight for Marinette's romantic privileges:
1. Each contestant will have one opportunity per day to bring the lady a small gift.
2. Because Adrien gets to spend the most time as they are classmates, that leaves Luka, Kagami and Chat Noir one day each for the weekend.
3. All is fair in texting, but one cannot tell Marinette of this agreement, she must decide by herself.
Adrien frowned at the rules. Well, that took away one chance as Adrien but still, he had the advantage as Chat Noir.

Well damn, there goes his extra advantage.
He kept reading the rules, which were mostly how they could all get a fair and square time to be around Marinette. Kagami and Adrien would even have a chance to partner up whenever they were practicing and Marinette just happened to be around, but because she also helped around with Kitty Section that gave plenty of time for Luka to be present.
Adrien sent his agreement, careful not to let anyone see the other phone that he had as Chat to reply perhaps a little later, he didn't want to make it too obvious he was both after all.
At that moment Marinette arrived at the classroom, like we said, apologizing for being late and being chided by Alya. What the girl failed to notice was the smile on Adrien's face when he saw her made her way to her seat.
The game for Marinette's affection was on and he was not going to lose.
Next I'm thinking Luka or Kagami pov who knows, depends how bored I am in the morning.
