four and a half years have passed since the birth of Gohan Goku and Bardock are teaching Gohan how to fish with his tail "Remember Kakarot you and Chi-Chi have a reunion with master Roshi I would go with but I want to take your mother out for dinner tonight so her and I will be getting ready" Bardock says Goku responds "Oh yeah I forgot about the reunion OK Gohan let's go get your mom and go meet my friends" Gohan smiles and goes with Goku the two grab Chi-Chi and head for master Roshi's house

Goku Chi-Chi and Gohan arrive at master Roshi's island home Goku shouts "Hey is anybody home it's been nearly five years" Krillin master Roshi and Bulma run outside to see their friend Krillin asks "who's the kid are you two babysitting for someone" Goku responds "Nope this is my son Gohan I named him after the old man who saved me and my mother" "Wait you guys have a kid now he's so adorable" Bulma says Goku and the group tell stories about their adventures to Gohan but then a long haired man with a tail named Raditz arrives "Kakarot join me and take over this planet brother" Raditz says Goku responds "if we are brothers we can be a family again" Raditz punches Goku and tries to take Gohan away Goku punches Raditz away Raditz then tries to fire an energy blast at Chi-Chi and Gohan but Goku blocks it "I gave you a chance and you blew it we could have been a family mom and dad would like to see you again but you just tried to kill my wife and son but if mom and dad want you to be brought back to life we will use the dragonballs Chi-Chi cover Gohan's eyes he shouldn't see this" Goku says powering up to super saiyan and firing an energy blast straight through Raditz '"A super saiyan dragonballs thanks for the information two more saiyans will be here in about a year they are far stronger than I am" Raditz says before dying "I'm sorry you guys had to see that" Goku says powering down and firing another energy blast at Raditz completely incinerating his corpse there is nothing left but a pile of ash Goku Gohan and Chi-Chi go home Goku tells Bardock and Gine about what just happened and about the two saiyans on their way to Earth they are disappointed that Raditz would try to hurt Gohan but are proud of Goku for protecting his family

After about a year of training the sayains arrive Goku Gine Bardock Gohan Krillin and Kami approach the Saiyans Vegeta and Nappa when the fighting starts Nappa tries to kill Gohan but Kami gets in the way and dies instead Goku quickly kills Nappa then looks at Vegeta and says "If you were here for the dragonballs you should leave now with Kami dead the dragonballs don't exist I'm giving you one chance leave or die" Vegeta quickly leaves and tells his boss Frieza about everything
eventually the group learns about the dragonballs on planet Namek Kami's home world Bulma makes a ship Bardock and Goku are the only ones going

After six days Goku and Bardock arrive on Namek but quickly run into the Frieza force Bardock interrogates them they explain that they are looking for the dragonballs after a while Bardock and Goku find Vegeta they team up and find some of the dragonballs they eventually run into Frieza Vegeta challenged Frieza but dies Frieza recognizes Bardock and says "I thought I killed you oh well I can fix that" Bardock responds "You did kill me but about twelve years after that day my son Kakarot and wife Gine used the dragonballs on our planet" Goku then says "My name may be Kakarot but you can call me Goku Frieza only saiyans can call me by my true name" Frieza just laughs at the saiyans but that laughter is turned into fear when Bardock and Goku transform into their super saiyan forms the saiyans then launch a combined Kamehameha wave sending Frieza into space badly injured but not dead Bardock and Goku use the dragonballs to revive anyone that was killed by Frieza and his men this includes Kami and Vegeta Goku offers Vegeta to come back to Earth saying he will teach him super saiyan Vegeta agrees and when they get back to Earth he starts a strange relationship with Bulma Vegeta finally learns super saiyan Goku trains him helping him master the super saiyan form
