Chapter 2: Kill the Grudge
Tatsumi was shocked and to a degree amazed and partly angry. "Dorothea? What are you doing here?! And more importantly how are still alive!?" Tatsumi shouted, Dorothea held a neutral expression.
"How is that possible considering Leone literally smashed you?" Najenda asked.
"Very simple; Perfector, Dr. Stylish's Teigu I was wearing it at the time and Leone fell for the oldest survival trick in the book playing dead; and then when I saw the way everything was going I joined up with Suzuka, grabbed a few things during and after the battle and got out of there in all the confusion that followed that; it was easy from there to go to my family's castle, collect my servants wealth, and other assets and then flee to Soukai via a ship I contracted, I've since built my own private castle and laboratory in the mountains of Soukai, very remote and away from prying eyes, the perfect place to plot my vengeance" Dorothea answered.
"Against me?" Tatsumi asked, he didn't have his sword on hand, so if she wanted to fight him there wasn't much he could do short of using Incursio and he had no desire to feed that Tyrant anymore power over him then necessary.
"No don't be silly, petty vengeance against you and Night Raid? Beneath me and not worth my time; no my vengeance is against the tyrants that now rule over the Empire and desiring to spread their thrice damned ideology of madness to Eden: which is why I came to you I'd like to make an alliance with you; I have many skills but leadership isn't one of them, you however do have experience with that field in addition to name recognition and many other skills" Dorothea explained she shook her head at the start then assumed a reasonable expression and posture after.
"Why should I join with a war criminal? I can just as easily tell King Sotetsu about you" Tatsumi replied, Dorothea shrugged then chuckled.
"War Criminal? Tatsumi I'm as much a war criminal as you are for starters; I mean sure I've killed people as part of a shady government organization that had about two people that I actually had respect for and really weren't beyond redemption and I may note I was enforcing the laws as twisted as they were at the time; I might add the only reason I joined the group was to avoid them causing me any trouble either with my research or in general; also I didn't reconstitute the group after Syura and the others were killed off. Anyway, by comparison to you I'm rather clean I mean I can run down a list, vigilantism which equates to murder as you killed in cold blood people that could not fight back yes they were criminals by all rights however justice and murder are distinguished by following the law and I may add most of them couldn't fight back; I'd call that a war crime. Then we have the fact you have treason as you were in open revolt and trying to overthrow the government whether you considered it tyrannical or not or not it is still treason to rebel against your home nation, then there is destruction of property, killing surrendering enemies, I could go on but understand Tatsumi you have way more crimes on your plate then I do and even to a point where the people you thought were in the right decided to have you and your family killed because you were a loose end of a past they were running away from; I've not forgotten my mistakes and have come to terms with them" Dorothea replied.
"You forgot one, you and Suzuka did try to rape me before Esdeath showed up and beat you both up!" Tatsumi replied, Dorothea frowned.
"Attempted rape? Really that was your perception of the events? Suzuka and I were just trying to seduce you we had no intention of forcing you we were just at the time giving you an out to avoid punishment and you didn't take it, Esdeath drew her own conclusions; also, I still hold those same feelings for you, your just too handsome, smart, brave and well many other things not to mention powerful" Dorothea responded shaking her head.
"You didn't intend- I don't believe you" Tatsumi replied.
"Please I had no intentions of evil towards you; anyway, the past is in the past whether you believe we were attempting to rape you or just trying to seduce you the past is in the past and we aren't enemies, the war is over the Empire lost I've accepted that much; but what I cannot accept is that what replaced it is even worse; people of our nation are dying because of evil killing Honest didn't solve all the problems he was just replaced by another monster who is just as bad" Dorothea replied, those words cut thru him for Tatsumi being reminded that what he fought for had just brought about a worse fate for the people in the Empire's lands, something worse and just as senseless as the root of the Old Empire.
"Why do you care so much, you were quite indifferent with the old regime?" Tatsumi responded firmly.
"Because fact of the matter was that I didn't care who was in charge as long as it doesn't affect my research and efforts to make humanity's life better, my life was alright so why would I bother changing it when I had no issues during the regime; yes I joined the Wild Hunt but only to keep them off of my back: I took no joy in killing the people I did, but let's be fair what I did was a mercy by comparison to what other members of that group would do, what Enshin would do, what Champ would do, what that bastard Syura would do; nothing I did was like them, and before you bring up Cosmina that girl was insane she had no idea if she was doing evil or good if I had been the one to find her I'd have been a better influence on her then Syura was: hell I may have made her an assistant fact is though that didn't matter either; they are all of them dead and what did that get me; nothing because at the end of the day that war did nothing to improve the lives of people in the Empire in fact all it did was make their lives worse: you know that, I know that, everyone here knows it! But it completely changeable you just need to approach it from the right direction" Dorothea replied.
"I see- I- you were dragged into this like I was, thrust into a war that didn't amount to any real good being done, just- violence on both sides cruelty, killing, crimes from either side and just- vile acts" Tatsumi replied, he understood deep inside that fighting for the revolution had led him to do things that were wrong. "What do you want from me and what is your plan?" Tatsumi asked.
"For starters I want you to be my ally; the old maxim is that the enemy of my enemy is my friend, we share the same enemies that want us dead, I've not been idle in the past five years I've been building, experimenting and bidding my time for an opportunity; fact of the matter is that I'm only one person even with my years of experience in many fields of science and engineering; at the end of the day, I'm only human, a human with an obscenely powerful Teigu but at the end of day still human. I've many things to show you but that can wait for now I wanted simply to talk to you and get you on side; continue your plans as normal there is something specifically though that I need you to do; you need to win that tournament and wed Rinzu from there if Zuou declares war on Soukai and her allies we'll have to take over all of Wakoku; from there we'll have a place we can build as a main base and make allies along with plan to overthrow the those tyrants that oppress the people of our nation; I have no plans for what will replace that government but whatever it is it has to be at minimum better than the one currently in power; anything else is secondary to that Tatsumi hell you could even be the leader of that new government for all I know and care; I just want all this killing to stop I haven't seen this much wanton slaughter for a very long time in fact in the history of the Empire only during the War of Betrayal that the Empire fought against the Dwarves was the bloodshed greater" Dorothea replied.
"How do I know you aren't going to use me like the Revolutionary Army did?" Tatsumi replied.
"I'm not using you; you have your own free will to choose to help me or not; if you don't I've got back up plans, if you do well that's to both our benefits at the end of the day; though I will say that Suzuka and I will be trying our best to get into your good graces to marry you; I really want a legacy beyond my innovations; all this senseless killing makes me want to give something back to humanity and what better way than to have children of my own: as it stands Tatsumi you can join me or you can choose to live the life in hiding never actually able to set things right, you'd be letting the spirits of your friends down; I could bring them back" Dorothea replied, that last part intrigued Tatsumi to an extreme degree.
"How do you know about Sayo and Ieyasu and more importantly how would you go about bring the dead back to life?" Tatsumi asked in firm voice.
"As to how I knew about them I looked thru Esdeath's records on you when I had the time to back in the days and I still have them by the way sentimental reasons mainly; as for bringing the dead back to life I've- already discovered a way to do that, two ways actually and both are proven successful" Dorothea explained.
"How successful and what are they?" Tatsumi asked.
"If the person is still well preserved I've means to restart a person's heart and mind using a mixture of techniques involving electrical energy to restart the systems and surgery to replace parts of the body that aren't useable with those of a donor; the other way is thru cloning; I create a new living breathing copy of that person using their DNA; they aren't exactly the same person but the process is close enough the clones keep a decent amount of their old memories and their minds are there's to choose what path they want to take; have I peeked your interest if you join me I can bring them back their bodies would be too far gone at this point but if I had a single bone of their body I could extract DNA and clone them; it wouldn't be the exact same thing but would it be ok with you?" Dorothea asked.
"I- as long as they remember some things and can still be my friends I'd be ok with that; it wouldn't be the same but at least I'd get to see Sayo's smiling face again and have fun with Ieyasu" Tatsumi replied.
"Tatsumi tell me you aren't actually considering this" Najenda chimed in.
"Najenda I'm going to be honest I am you know why so what about the past as it stands like Dorothea we were just as much criminals as she is and if we followed what Boreth wanted we'd all be dead under his laws: also, we can't hide from our past sooner or later Boreth's Empire will invade Soukai and what do we do then? As it stands Najenda I want to make amends for my crimes regardless of whether they were against evil people I can't stand to be vilified by anyone least of all those people that I was willing to do the worst of acts for: also, Najenda I want peace and there can't be peace as long as those monsters still have power" Tatsumi replied passionately there was an aura of conviction to him. "Dorothea I'll agree to your offer on two conditions first off I want to know what you have planned and two I want your utter assurance that you won't betray me or my family" Tatsumi replied.
"I swear by my many doctorates, by my Hippocratic oath and on my honor as noble of the great family Carstein that I shall be your ally and friend to my dying breath or yours depending on who dies first either way I will not betray you or your family, second I'll show you more of my operations soon enough right now though I'd like for you to put a word in with the royal family; also you'll note I'm actually respected in the area near my abode I've cleared out a good chunk of the bandit population it's in the more mountainous part of the island anyway once we've established some cordial relations I'll show you what I've got in works by the way I've not let my companions introduce themselves" Dorothea replied and those with her who had been wearing hooded cloaks remove their hoods. Tatsumi recognized one face as that of the Rakshasa Demon Mez, which couldn't have been possible as she was killed by Lubbock, this was a clone of Mez completely identical to the original and with a decent chunk of the original's memories but not the same person. The Other two were children both girls, 13 years of age one had black hair and the other a deep blue green both however had the same shade of peridot eyes as he did.
"Hi- I'm Koko" the blue haired girl greeted.
"I'm Lin; we're twin sisters and used to be princesses" the black haired girl replied.
"Until the Empire stopped existing; the bad people wanted to kill Makoto-nii, Dorothea wouldn't let that happen she- swapped him with someone else and took us and fled; she sad the bad people would've killed us just for being Princesses" Koko explained.
"And I'm Mez; or rather a clone of her but I'm just as strong and smart as the original albeit not as overconfident and foolish" The clone of Mez or as she will be referred to from now on Mez greeted.
"But both of you are children you can't have been more than nine at the time why would anyone want you dead" Tatsumi asked.
"One word: power, keeping power if one member of the royal family survived they could serve as a symbol against the evil government that is now in power; I've managed to keep them, and their brother hidden" Dorothea explained.
"How did you pull that off, I mean their brother I can easily see you getting them out of the palace before the army took it over and escaping in the confusion of battle" Tatsumi asked.
"I took him before that fight even commenced I had a body double and hooked said body double up the Imperator Makoto controlled it remotely and- well the whole thing has him traumatized I've done my best to raise the three of them; being a mother was not easy for me but Suzuka helped a lot; Tatsumi let me be honest with you is any government that would want to harm innocent children like these good, could you bring yourself to harm them and I ask you the same question Najenda because either of them could be your own children that those monsters wanted dead: would you have followed them even then?!" Dorothea explained and asked, both Tatsumi and Najenda shed tears, their faces alone let Dorothea know how they felt about the prospect of killing children, neither of them as parents could bare to stoop that low hell no human being with a heart and a basic grasp of morality could do that.
"Alright Dorothea you win; I'd never be able to do that; I know Tatsumi couldn't and I'm sure nobody in our home could either: its just- evil" Najenda answered sobbing as she did so.
"I'm glad we are at an understanding; now I've taken a good day traveling here with my companion and my adopted children may I stay the night and tomorrow morning you can introduce me to court, the local leaders of where I live know about me living there and I have legal ownership to my lands and citizenship; granted I had to pay money for the land but that's enough under the kingdom's law; but I've not made contact with anyone in charge of Soukai; I wanted to keep a low profile" Dorothea explained and asked.
"Sure; I've got a few guest rooms; Najenda go and tell the others what's going on so that none of them decides to start a fight" Tatsumi replied.
"Sure; though Mine and Leone aren't going to like this" Najenda responded.
"I know it isn't ideal but we can't just live here in hiding forever we need to do something, is this the right choice morally, no but we can't afford to be self-righteous when we've got our own sins besides the whole world is fucked up as is and we're in part to blame for all of it and it's our responsibility to make it right; we've sinned and brought our home under a worse tyrant then the one we fought to overthrow and to find our redemption we need to make things right or die trying" Tatsumi replied, Dorothea smiled and to his surprise teared up.
"Thank you Tatsumi, I wasn't sure you'd accept I thought you'd turn me away or kill me; this is the best possible outcome, and you won't regret it; we need to make a difference or no one else will" Dorothea replied. "Can I give you a hug?" Dorothea asked, Tatsumi saw no problems with that and she did so it was quite affectionate she then kissed him on the cheek unexpectedly. "That's for doing the right thing and more importantly for making me wait five years to see you again and to do so on reasonable terms" Dorothea explained.
"Hey, don't push it; I'll give you a chance, but we aren't friends yet" Tatsumi replied.
"Trust me we will be soon enough; also, Tatsumi a bit of a warning, I know for a fact that Tenrou is being more militant and expansionist; expect Zuou to show up at the tournament if he does and he loses war will follow and he needs to be stopped if we are to have even a shot at being able to take on Falkland" Dorothea replied.
"Why do you assume I'll be in charge of Wakoku?" Tatsumi asked.
"You'll be marrying Rinzu, her father has no other children and if he dies she'll become queen and you her king you'll be a leader regardless Zuou wants Rinzu and he'll do whatever it takes to steal her from you and he wants these lands; as it stands you as her husband will have way more knowledge of how the world works then she does and with that in mind you'll be in charge of so much and who will rule Tenrou when Zuou is beaten who will rule Wakoku as it stands the islands will be united into a single nation by the end of this war who better to rule it then you; I know you don't want that responsibility Tatsumi but that's what makes you most qualified, the best leaders are those that never wanted to lead" Dorothea explained.
"You do have a valid point, I'm just hoping that I'll live up to your hopes, and if I become a leader don't assume to be my puppet master like Honest was to the Emperor" Tatsumi expressed and warned.
"Makoto, he has a name, Makoto please address him as such he is not an Emperor anymore and doesn't want to be one again, and no I've no intentions of being your puppet master; being in charge of scientific innovations and other pursuits of learning yes but I'm no politician or leader, my skills are in science, inventing and innovation, the work of the mind and the scholar, I'm not a politician I do know how to fight and am a skilled fighter but I'm no tactician or leader of man: you've studied war in the five years you've been here you've led Soukai's forces against outlaws, pirates and raiders from other kingdoms, you've trained people in the way of the sword; you have the makings of a leader whether you acknowledge it or not" Dorothea responded, her face smiling a hopeful smile.
"Ok; I'm glad to hear it. Now I'm going to introduce you to my family, I know it's big but I'm glad to have one just the same" Tatsumi explained and they went indoors from there it was merely a matter of getting others on side, then having a good dinner and getting to know each other followed by going to sleep.
Meanwhile in Tenrou the following morning… Zuou sat on his throne looking once more over the spoils of victory brought to him by his Ten Star Yomihime; the Kingdom of Getsu was now under his control his eastern flank was secure, it had been an easy affair as the armies of Getsu proved to be misguided and led by lords who had more bravado and heritage then skill; conquest was easy and his new spoils their Princesses and Queen made a fine addition to his harem; along with their ladies in waiting whom also served as insurance against them trying to escape. The door to his throne room opened and in walked his Eleventh star; she removed her helmet and mask to reveal a young woman in her early 20s about 22; with long blonde hair that was tied back but also a hairband with a blue ball on the side, her face was beautiful but Zuou knew better then to court her, she was extremely dangerous and obsessed with another man, both lust and revenge directed at said man.
"General Grundel please what have you brought me" Zuou asked, she grinned and planted a basket at his feet; in it was the head of a dead Daimyo who had been foolish enough to defy him.
"Lord Katsumora should have known better, making war on Tenrou is to invite death and risk your own head; I removed his from his body after my army took his castle, I've taken the liberty of bringing his family here to you for you to decide their fates" she responded.
"Excellent; let them know for now that they are to be put under house arrest while I decide their fates; now I must see that you are rewarded for your service; how about I give his castle to you" Zuou replied.
"That would be fine, I'm all for new castles, new lands, new people to rule over all for me General Aria Layael Grundel, you know I do this less out of a sense of loyalty and more out of a sense of purpose and meaning for my life; not like I have much else to live for; all I have left is my fortune or rather a mix of what's left of my old family's fortune and the new wealth I've earned in your service, new lands and new place to call home, my dignity, my self-esteem, my looks apart from the scar across my midsection where I was nearly cut in half and barely survived thanks to sheer luck adrenaline and the failure of Night Raid to dispose of my body afterwards if they had been smart they would have made sure I didn't have my head; they didn't and thanks to my medical knowledge and supplies I survived; living with the knowledge that my parents are dead and all the people I knew and cared for in my family's home are likewise dead; all I had was my money and a death mark from Night Raid the best option was to leave and leave I did; you took me in and using my knowledge of warfare I learned from my father became your general that and my family's treasure Noctis Wave" Aria replied.
"That and you provide weapons; now Aria what do I need to have you do next; I know, I'll have you accompany me to Soukai for the tournament they are holding next month; for now I want you and your army to relax, you've fought enough and I need time to plot the next campaign and conquest; with Getsu gone we have no enemies at the moment so a brief time of peace is needed; also see to raising up and training new troops I want to continue the yearly rotation of troops less Tenrou's people tire of war" Zuou replied.
"Thank you my lord; anything else you need of me?" Aria asked.
"Yes there is one thing; fetch Kuriaya I've need of my spymaster to begin gather intelligence on Saryuu and Soukai but also on the tournament opponents I need to know whom I'm up against after all. Forewarned is forearmed and the knowledge known and applied is wisdom, other than that you are free to do as you wish" Zuou explained.
"Yes My king Kuriaya will meet with you shortly" Aria replied and left the room Zuou thought a good deal and praised Bishamonten that he had been blessed with brilliant minds in his Eleven Stars: all that was needed now was to plan his next moves and enjoy the peace while it lasted as much as he loved war he loved peace a good deal to as it meant his responsibilities weren't as pressing and he could relax more; with that in mind he needed to meet with his new captives and get to know them and then decide their fates, mercy would be shown where he felt it was warranted, but for those that could not be reconciled to the reality of their situation there was only the mercy of death.
In Soukai… Tatsumi approached the royal palace with Dorothea accompanying him, the guards at the gate had no problems with him but they did want to know about Dorothea; Tatsumi told them what they needed to know and left out what they didn't and what they needed to know was that she wasn't an enemy and on their side, they didn't need to know her past. As Tatsumi and Dorothea entered the castle Tatsumi again marveled at the splendor, Dorothea was well travelled and had visited the isles before but even she could be impressed less by the luxury but more by the culture and history that such places offered to learn about; Tatsumi shared a similar view with regards to history and learning but liked to look at stuff that just looked cool and even though he'd been living in Soukai for five years the sights were still amazing compared to what he saw growing up in the Empire and Dorothea could tell that by his body language, his face and his eyes. Soon after going by the scenic route as to show Dorothea most of the castle they arrived at the throne room doors which the Hatamoto standing guard opened for him; dressed in his best attire for his job the King Sotetsu noticed him immediately as did Princess Rinzu both of him smiled but looked confused to see him being there and Dorothea who was unfamiliar to them.
"General Tatsumi Hatayama this is unexpected you told me that you were going to take time off to spend with your family and here you are and in the company of someone unknown" King Sotetsu greeted.
"Yes your majesty, I know I'm taking time off, but something just came up that is rather important and require your urgent attention" Tatsumi responded.
"I see; is this a fiancé of yours that I'm unaware of have you come asking for me to host wedding I've no problems doing so" King Sotetsu asked.
"No, we aren't dating, we're old acquaintances; we haven't seen each other in five years; this is Dorothea and I'll let her introduce herself" Tatsumi replied.
"Greeting your majesty, I am Dr. and Lady Dorothea of the noble house of Carstein formerly of the Empire but I'm now an expatriate who has been living in Soukai for about five years now; don't worry I've been doing so legally I have citizenship and hold land that I received from your vassal Lord Shinji Ito I believe his name is" Dorothea greeted.
"I see, I've not heard of you which means you must live in a remote part of the islands and live a quiet life; any reason that may be, actually don't I'd rather not know about your past as long as you pay your taxes, follow my laws and those of your Daimyo your past is none of my concern; I know too well from migrants over the years that the Empire is in dire straits and no longer exists as it did when I was younger" King Sotetsu replied, the man was in his late forties though his black hair had yet to grey and his eyes were gray in color, his daughter with her long pink hair, blue eyes and graceful youth beauty and figure was a contrast to him, his gout also pained him.
"Indeed; I used to be quite a well-known and respected scientist and doctor in the Empire; well nowadays I'd be wanted as a criminal intellectual under the insane rule of those people that now rule it; as such I'd like to offer my services to you as your head of research and science I've made many innovations though they are still very much in experimental phases and I wanted to make sure they were safe before being released to the public; I actually wanted to approach you to offer my services for some time but I wasn't sure you'd accept me without an advocate, so when I heard that an acquaintance of mine was your chief general from some associates of mine I decided he'd be the best person to seek out to get an audience with you" Dorothea explained sincerely, she was telling the truth though not all of it as he didn't want to know about her past and she was willing to keep those details to herself.
"I see; well, you're more than welcome to serve me as a both a vassal and head of my scholars and scientists and I welcome your innovations that will help better the lives of my people I do have some questions about your relationship to Tatsumi how long have you two known each other?" King Sotetsu asked.
"Well, that depends on when it comes to having known of him about five years, personally I've known him personally for about a weak when he was under my care as a doctor and scientist for medical reasons and to run some tests due to his Imperial Arm Incursio, I've not known him personally though and he's changed since then, when I last met him personally it wasn't under the best terms and well let's just say I've decided to give him space since then" Dorothea explained.
"And your relationship with him?" the King asked, Tatsumi was about comment what does that have to do with anything, but Dorothea gave her answer before he could say anything.
"We're essentially having a fresh start, but I do harbor feelings for him if that's what you're asking and hope to become friends at least perhaps more" Dorothea answered, Tatsumi blushed.
"Glad to hear it, I appreciate your honesty; welcome to my court do you have a means of getting here and back?" King Sotetsu asked.
"I've got a private carriage I've got some other ideas for alternative methods of transportation but those are in the early development stage; I've got some other ideas too; just I'll bring my inventions that are pretty much done bar a few final tests next time I visit; other than that, unless there is anything else you need I'll take my leave" Dorothea replied.
"No that is all; I'm looking forward to meeting you also I never formally introduced myself I'm King Sotetsu and this is my beloved and only child and daughter Princess Rinzu; I'll be holding a tournament from her suggestion next month; her request to marry someone whom was good warrior was the best option as there aren't any political marriages externally that will insure Soukai's safety from Tenrou save one that both of us are against: the tournament will be an interesting event and many have decided to compete though I did allow people from all over the islands; General Tatsumi is among the competitors which is a surprise but a welcome one; if you want my opinion I'm very much hoping he wins" Sotetsu replied.
"Dad" Rinzu commented slyly.
"Rinzu he'd be good choice but I'm sure your wanting to give the others a chance and with that I agree" Sotetsu responded.
"If that is all we'll take our leave" Tatsumi replied and both him and Dorothea left, once they were good distance from the palace Tatsumi looked at Dorothea. "So, when will you show me your experiments and your new place?" Tatsumi asked.
"Soon enough; preferably after I've had some time to get to establish myself and to know you and earn your trust and you mine: call me cautious but I'm being realistic as it stands I want to make sure you are prepared to handle what you find out; now I've not done anything crazy to other people beyond some outlaws but to be honest the less of them plaguing society the better and if they can advance scientific knowhow in doing even better, no it's a matter of restraint I'm not sure I can trust you to show restraint with Suzuka or Makoto or my other residents and my household servants as it stands we're going to start our relationship fresh I'll show you my abode when I'm good and ready to and can trust you not to cause any harm to anyone in my care" Dorothea explained.
"I see; I can understand alright we'll give it time like say a couple weeks or a month" Tatsumi replied.
"Exactly; also, can I- go on a date with you?" Dorothea replied.
"Your serious about being love with me? And I thought Esdeath was obsessed with me" Tatsumi replied.
"You certainly are attractive and possess many treats women would want in a husband and mate: yes I'm still in love with you and no I've never felt that way for ANYONE else I- can't afford to be attached its- part of my past" Dorothea explained.
"What do you mean?" Tatsumi asked.
"I'd rather not discuss that you might take my answer the wrong way and you may think I'm insane; fact is I'm older then you and older then I look but I'm not going to tell you how old I am, just- I can't afford to make attachments because I keep outliving those I get attached to: I've lived as long as I have for one goal to use my mind to make the world a better place for people and to do that I've had to sacrifice attachments but I can't let go of you; I feel drawn to you like- I don't know I've known you since I was born and knew you in a past life as absurd as that may sound we may have even been married at some point in said life; whatever it is call it love, call it attraction, call it obsession whatever: I just can't live without you in my life anymore I love you and that won't change even if you don't love me back and even if I have to be one of many you love: I still love you" Dorothea replied.
"Alright I'll give you a chance, we'll have our first date and dinner together two days from now that's a promise if you love me that much I have to give you a chance regardless of the past" Tatsumi replied, she then gave him hug and kiss on the lips.
"Thank you" Dorothea said simply, with that Tatsumi and Dorothea returned to his home; unaware that they had been married in a past life and that the world they lived in itself was a lie; another reality where something went wrong.
