A.N: A quick warning, this story takes place in a different time from the cannon, when Harry and Naruto were born in 1995. Another thing that will undergo a temporal change and the war, where it begins in the late 70s and early 80s. In fact, you will find that many things here will be different from the cannon.
In a dark alley in Little Whinging, the sound of garbage cans falling and being thrown back and forth echoed. It looked like an animal was struggling to get food.
However, at the moment when the moon's rays illuminate the alley, it is revealed that it was not an animal, but a boy. Such a boy is none other than Naruto Potter, now six years old; however, the burn mark still existed on his face.
The most surprising thing is the fact that Naruto has a rat in his mouth and other doyuas in his hands. Not only that, drops of the little animal's blood dripped from the corners of its mouth, in which the redhead's teeth were embedded.
"It must be terrible not being able to quench your thirst, no matter how much small animal blood you drink." He speaks a voice, drawing the boy's attention.
"Who are you?" Spitting out the rat, already without a drop of blood and licking the blood that was on his lips, Naruto asks the tall, robust man, whose hair was a grayish black, who was standing at the entrance to the alley.
"It is not very polite to ask someone's name without introducing yourself as a boy." Retorts the man, of tall and robust construction and gray hair, with a sarcastic smile.
"My name is Naruto Potter." The redhead says, crossing his arms afterwards. "Now he answer me - Who are you and what are you doing here?
"I am Lt. Col. Maxwell Ericksen of the Royal Armed Forces, under Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II." replied the man. "But I'm also just like you, a vampire.
"How am I supposed to know you're telling the truth?" Naruto asked, in a demanding tone.
The answer to the question asked was given when Maxwell's canine teeth become larger, his eyes go completely black and the blood vessels around them start to jump and pulse.
"Is that enough evidence?" Question the man, before making his features return to normal.
"Yes, but that does not answer the second question I asked." Potter spoke. "What do you do here?"
"It's quite a simple boy, recently, an acquaintance of mine who works in a newspaper learned that the number of mice, rats and other small animals - mostly rodents - has decreased drastically in Little Whinging." Explained Maxwell. "However, animal control did not report the presence of any predators in the area, which has only two possible answers - the first: all cats and dogs in the city had a sudden appetite; and the second: there is at least one vampire in the area, which is alarming, because sooner or later such or such vampires will soon pass from small animals to humans. I think we both know which alternative I considered most plausible, which is why I'm here, boy. Now answer me something: how long have you been a vampire?
"A little over a year ago. - Naruto replied, being direct. - At first I was curious to know why I felt a growing desire to drink grape juice, even wine when Uncle Vernon bought to drink with Aunt Marge, and after seeing one of the boys that my cousin Dudley and his friends torment, to bleed. Only later did I discover that I was, in some way, a vampire. But why that question?
"It is just a protocol that I follow, and I must congratulate you boy, most vampires would have stopped feeding small animals and would have passed to humans, or would have already died, since apparently you never drank human blood; your thirst control and self-control are impeccable, not perfect." Praised Colonel Ericksen, leaving the boy confused. "You are different from all the other young vampires I have met, aside from the fact that you never drank a drop of human blood, you control your thirst very well; they, if they had the same time as you have as a vampire, would have already killed some drawings of people, because they would not have control of the thirst nor the correct technique to feed. Such vampires would have already drawn the attention of society to the existence of vampires, and in turn would attract the attention of hunters."
"Hunters?" Naruto asked confused.
"Yes, hunters." Answer Ericksen. "There are relatively few today, but they still exist, and your greatest ambition is to exterminate all vampires. It is to prevent them from being attracted to you, and then other vampires, that I will teach you how to eat properly - without having to kill your prey and without leaving a trace - and some other things that I think you need to learn."
"But how, sir?" Question Potter. "My uncles hardly let me leave the house. In order to hunt the animals I feed on, I need to wait for them and Dudley to sleep. Most of the time I am doing housework, at school or mowing the neighbors' lawn, which is what I have to do if I wanted to buy something for my own use.
"That gives us the perfect chance boy!" Ericksen exclaims, already having an idea of what to do in this situation. "You just need to say you are going to mow my house, which is number 10 on Privet Drive ...
"It's the same street where my uncles' house is." Naruto speaks, interrupting the man.
"It makes it even more perfect, the grass in the house is very tall and you can tell them that I was very demanding about the size of the grass and the perfection of the service." Maxwell suggests, ignoring the fact that he was interrupted by the redhead. "This will give us the time needed for the lessons, and if they ask why you come to my house every day, you should tell them that I have a garden in the yard, and that the flowers should be watered every day, but i am too busy to do this myself. And of course, to corroborate this story, I will give you a fair weekly payment of one hundred pounds."
"My uncles will take every penny of that money when they hear about it." Argued Naruto, a little sad.
"Then get a place where you can keep that money, a place that only you can access or know where to look." The gray haired man answers, receiving a nod from Potter.
"In this case, when do we start?" Potter asked.
"Tomorrow, after school." Answer the eldest. "And for educational purposes, call me a colonel until we are close enough that we can call ourselves by our names, Potter."
'Yes sir, colonel." Speak Naruto.
"Now go home, the mess you made was very noisy, you might end up waking someone up." Colonel Maxwell warns, starting to walk.
Taking advantage of the cue, Naruto begins to follow the older vampire, wandering the deserted and dimly lit streets until he arrives at number 4 on Privet Drive. Arriving at his uncles' house, Naruto opens the door quietly, and slowly enters the house, taking care to make as little noise as possible while going to the cupboard on the stairs that served as his room. Once inside and lying on the old, moldy mattress on which he slept, Potter ended up seeing something that hadn't aroused his interest for a few weeks, due to the short time that the redhead had, his mother's chest.
Deciding to try to open it again, Naruto took a relatively long, thin and pointed object and said chest. Already with both items in his hands, the redhead places the rod in the lock of the chest, trying to pass through the internal slits of the lock, in order to open the object. However, each attempt failed, as every time Potter tried before tonight, but the boy would not give up, so he tore off part of the mattress and twisted one of the thin springs until it broke, however, in that his left index finger ends up sticking .
"Oh, what the fuck!" The boy scolds, taking his finger to his mouth, to stop the bleeding, but before he could do that, a drop of his blood falls in the chest, making him shine, and when the luminosity ended, the chest was open. "But what...?"
Looking inside the chest, Naruto could see several books and a piece of cylindrical and tapered wood measuring approximately six inches, at the top of the list of books, the redhead sees one with the cover labeled number 1. Curiosity took over tells of Potter, who takes the book 1, feeling the texture of the cover, bound with some type of leather. After analyzing the book's cover, Naruto opens it.
"July 2, 1981.
Today Sev and I received our letters from Hogwarts two days ago, and today we went to the magical shopping center - Diagon Alley - and it was so amazing to see all those new things, but the best thing was when I went to buy my wand - one of twenty-six centimeters, made of willow and unicorn hair - Mr. Olivaras said it was great for spells, and that I would have a bright future ahead of me, if I made use of the full potential of my wand. It will be so good to learn magic, meet other wizards and a whole new world. I am so looking forward to going to Hogwarts! The fact that Sev is finally away from that monster of his father is also something that makes us both more and more anxious for September to come soon. I think the only bad thing about all of this is Petunia, before we were so close, but since I started showing signs of magic, she treats me badly, calling me "weird" and "freak", it hurts. I don't understand why things have changed between us, I think maybe Sev is right when he says that she is jealous of me being a witch and she is not. She wanted it so badly that we could go together. "

'What an annoying boy this James Potter is !! Arrogant and retarded idiot! Can't he stop chasing me and torment Sev? What about his friend Sirius Black? It's just as bad, even worse! They are nothing more than two bullies who think they are too good. They are always making trouble, I think they have only accumulated at least thirty arrests so far !! I have no doubt that they will be expelled before the fifth year. In fact, I hope they will be expelled before the fourth year, so Hogwarts gains a little peace, because Peeves is enough of an irritating idiot. But moving on to more enjoyable topics, all classes have been interesting, from day one; but if I had to choose, my favorite would be Potions and Spells, Slughorn seems to have a preference for students who appear to be talented, and I always say that I have a bright future ahead of me, this is so cool! Prof. Flitwick is also really cool, he's funny, but he knows how to be serious at the right times, especially when he teaches - he doesn't like the students to divert their attention from the class, which Potter and Black do a lot - his explanations are very interactive and interesting and I can't wait to learn from him again. A few days ago I met a third year girl from Slytherin, she helped Sev when some sophomores, also from Slytherin, left him upside down at the entrance to their common room, her name is Annabeth Greengrass - the pure families blood has weird names. I thought she was very cold at first, but she is really nice and kind even. There is also a fourth year girl from Hufflepuff, Amélia Bones, she was really nice to help when Sev and I got lost on the way to the Defense Against the Dark Arts room, she is a little strict and serious at times, not to mention that it scares most kids - including Potter and Black - and I think she has a strong chance of becoming a prefect next year. The person I'm closest to is actually Sev, but I think those two could easily be my best friends.'
'June 29, 1982.
Quite frankly! How could James Potter come first among first-year students ?! He's James Potter! THE BLOODY JAMES POTTER !! The buffoon idiot can't go a week without getting detention, doesn't make an effort in class, and doesn't even pay attention to the explanation of most teachers! So how the hell did he manage to stay on top? Ah, but I don't accept that. Not even!! Next year I will overtake him, I will be the best of the year, or I'm not Lily Aster Evans !! Moving from this to other more pleasant subjects, I managed to find a very interesting book in the library, one of the first editions of a book of wizarding children's stories, Tales by Beedle the Bardo, it will be a very interesting read, even if they are just children's stories.'
So, Naruto was reading his mother's diary, and when the first was over, he moved on to the second and started reading the third. Within two and a half hours, Naruto found that as the years passed by his mother's opinion of James Potter - who was obviously his father - at best, it hadn't changed, and at worst, worsened - which led to the boy wondering how the two ended up together. Eventually, he discovered that, in his fifth year at Hogwarts, his mother ceased to be friends with the "Sev", Severus Snape - whom his father and his friends called Snivellus - when he called her a mudblood - in a footnote, Lily explained that bad blood was the worst insult you could make to someone with non-magical parents, because it meant dirty blood. Another thing that happened after the fifth year, was the maturing of Naruto's father, which became noticeable when Lily finally accepted his invitation to go to Hogsmead.
However, among the things the redhead discovered, the most interesting in his opinion was the existence of The Connectors, a well-known group at Hogwarts, as well as The Marauders - a group formed by his father, Sirius Black and another two friends of the two , Remus Lupine and Petter Pettigrew; however, as the name explained, the group was made up of girls. Perhaps what caught the attention of young Potter was the fact that he was formed by his mother, the two oldest students together with another girl from the same year as his mother - Alice Diggory - and aimed to promote the end of barriers between the two. four Hogwarts houses - Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Hufllepuff. The four helped younger students to adapt to the new lifestyle, to move around the school without getting lost, and especially to escape or defend themselves from bullying; moreover, they acted as a "limiter" for the Marauders' actions.
Another thing that caught Naruto's attention a lot was his mother's notes about the strange piece of wood that was next to the diaries and books, it was a wand. According to the diary notes, his mother spent much of the fourth and fifth year secretly studying the art of wand making in order to create a wand that she could use without worrying about the tracker - and thus review the spells she learned over the holidays. throughout the semester, and, in the summers, practice the spells of the following year, so that you could not only have better results in your NOM's, but also show everyone that the blood status does not interfere in the potential of a wizard or witch.
The more he read his mother's reports, the more the redhead was proud of the woman who brought him into the world, she had done her best to achieve the best in herself, always striving for excellence in learning. Such feeling, gave the motivation for Naruto to do the same, to seek to be the best he can be, to achieve excellence, no matter the attempts.
So, with that motivation, Naruto kept his mother's belongings, and shortly afterwards, fell asleep.
(Flashback on)
"Very good children, for today I planned something different for our class." The young teacher spoke. "Me and the other three science teachers, we reached a consensus and decided to take all classes for a tour-class to the London Zoo. So guys and girls, pack your things and go to one of the two buses that we rent specially for this.
Upon hearing this, all eight boys and ten girls in the class let out a cry of excitement, with the exception of the redhead who was sitting at the back of the room, isolated from everyone else.
"Keep calm!" Rachel scolded sternly, opening a gentle smile when she is obeyed. "Now put away your books and notebooks, and calmly leave the room. Wait for me in the courtyard."
In this way, everyone does what was asked by the teacher, only Naruto stayed behind. Seeing this, the teacher went to the little boy who was crestfallen.
"What happened Naruto, why didn't you go out with the others?" Asked the woman gently, bending down to look the boy in the eye.
"I can't go Miss. Scott." Naruto said, sad, it would be so cool to see personally the animals they studied in the classroom.
"But why can't you little?" Questioned the teacher.
"My teacher uncles," Explains Potter, turning on a warning signal in the woman's mind. "they would never let me go on that tour.
"This tour is part of a Naruto class, so your uncles do not need to give you permission to go with us." Scott said, making the redhead's eyes shine when he understood what that means. "That's right, you do not have to worry about your uncles preventing you from going, as you will be in a school activity. So, pack your things and come with me.
"Yeah!" The boy replied excited and happy, opening a smile.
Perhaps the trip to the zoo would have been monotonous for Naruto, if he hadn't been reading. Potter was an avid reader, after all the library was the only place in the school where he and Harry - it was hard for the redhead not to want to cry about missing his twin, the only person who understood him, loved him and that he could call family - they could hide from Dudley, who almost always hurt them; and he always received praise from Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon - Naruto thought - in doing so. In this way, both learned to read before all the other children, as curious as they were, the twins took the books and leafed through them, seeing the pictures and drawings, other than that they sometimes saw some teachers in the library teaching the children older women reading the alphabet, forming syllables and reading words, besides counting of course.
Naruto liked almost all types of books - the ones that were suitable for his age, of course - and his favorites were undoubtedly those of fantasy - C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien were his favorite authors of the genre. But at the moment, Naruto was reading The Little Prince, for the fifth time in less than two months. This was a book that captivated Potter a lot, mainly due to the fact that he felt like the Aviator at the end of the book, even though he wasn't sad all the time, Harry's lack was a constant, something that maybe could never be filled. . Finishing reading the best-known work by French writer and aviator Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Naruto guided his thoughts to other things, such as meeting with Lieutenant Colonel Ericksen and what the older vampire would teach him.
"Do you know that I am now somewhat interested in hearing people's views on vampires?" Naruto commented thoughts, looking at the trees on the road near the entrance to London. "I think I'm going to look for books about vampires, it's an interesting project."
After completing this thought, Naruto decided to read some more of the third diary of Lily, his mother and guide in his possible pre-return to the world in which he was probably born, but which was still a new world.
'August 21st, 1986.
Today, when we were buying our supplies for school, Alice told me something terribly absurd. There are classes at Hogwarts that only pure-blooded students can attend !! Can you believe that? But what an injustice, bunch of prejudiced ignorant! Wizard law: study on the laws of magic? Foreign and magical languages? Negotiation and Administration Tactics? How many mestizos and Muggle-borns could have better training, to get better job opportunities and thus contribute to the development of the magical world? Then these conservative purists come to say that we Muggle-born do not serve the wizarding world !! BUT THAT DISGUSTING HYPOCRITES !!! RIDICULOUS ALL OF THEM! I CANNOT EVEN PPR IN WORDS HOW REVOLTED I AM FEELING AT THIS TIME !! And how could Amelia and Annie hide this from me? I can't believe they never told me about it !! Just them, who I had as my older sisters, those who inspired me to go against this nonsense that is the social division between the four houses. I expected this from anyone but them !! But apparently, I was in trouble. Very daily, I'm going to sleep now, all this anger and feeling of revolt and betrayal made me unusually tired, I'll think about it better tomorrow, when I'm calmer.'
'October 31, 1986.
Alice showed me a letter that Amelia sent her, saying that she never told me about these secret electives because of a binding magic contract, which prevented both she and Annie from telling "unauthorized" people - just another way , not so pejorative, to refer to those who are the first of their family to have magic - about the existence of these disciplines. I'm still hurt by the two, but I know it wasn't their fault. I know that magic contracts have, in most cases, loopholes in their terms; but I could never ask the two of them to risk losing their magic by trying to find such a breach, in order to be able to speak to me on this subject. What should I do? I think that, many times, my desire for changes in the magical society here in the United Kingdom cloud my vision, it drives me crazy. I can't cut ties with two of my best friends just because they didn't tell me something they couldn't, it's just hurt pride. I think I am a little bit like James in that regard, I am very proud. Speaking of that rebellious-haired idiot of mine, I have to meet with him to go to Hogmeade. Seriously, a year ago, if someone told me that before summer vacation I would start dating James Potter, I would call that person crazy and ask him to go to Saint Mungus, to the mental ward - or to a psychiatrist Muggle really. Well I think I said that to Alice, and Marlene, especially when the last one took it out with my face when she started dating Sirius. But that was because I said that she "put a collar" on the Gryffindor dog.'
'June 28, 1987.
The sixth school year is almost over, things are going to get even more difficult from now on. Not only because the seventh year begins in September, and with it come the N.I.E.M's - Incredibly Exhaustive Levels in Magic; no, even if I take the exams seriously, what worries me is the increasingly dark times that are approaching. These disappearances, attacks and kidnappings are becoming more and more serious, it is not just an insurgency of the blood supremacist extremists, we are practically in a civil war. I intended to make a master in Spells and Potions, maybe I still do, but I have to find a way to keep my family safe, maybe I should even leave the house, so as not to put my parents and Petunia in danger. James, Alice and Sirius told me that they intend to join the Corps of Aurors, so that they can fight in this war, maybe I should do the same, or accept the invitation from Mrs. Euphemia and Mrs. Dorea, James' grandmother and mother . Both work in a very important sector of the British Ministry of Magic, and said that my notes and history of "extracurricular research", as they called it, make me eligible to work in the Department of Mysteries. It is very likely that I would accept their invitation, I could learn more, and honestly, being an Auror is not very much to my face, even being good at dueling spells does not suit me very much, but apparently I will have to do that, if want to fight in this war. You know what, I'm going to leave the action part of things to Alice, James and Sirius and accept the offer they made me over the Easter break.'
"Was there a war in the wizarding world?" Naruto, surprised, asks in thoughts, as the bus starts to slow down, which means they were almost arriving at the zoo. "What would an auror be? It sounds a lot like a policeman, or a soldier in the armed forces. I think it's best to think about it and continue reading the diary later."
"Very good children, we arrived." Rachel said, getting up from her seat. "Now everybody get off the bus, calmly, and wait for the other classes to leave so we can all get in together.
As ordered by the teacher, students get off the bus as calmly as they got on, and as soon as the other four classes get off their buses, the teachers responsible for them drive them into the zoo.
"It's the following children, we are not here for just a walk, but for a more interactive and fluid class." Explains Rachel. "Each teacher will take his class to an area of the zoo, where are the animals that each year studies. It will be like a small review of the subjects, before the tests that will happen in a few days."
"You must remember that if you want to spend more time watching the animals, you need to notify your responsible teacher;" The fifth year teacher continued; a man of Asian descent, bald, of short stature and slightly overweight. "and as soon as they are finished, they will have to come to the food court, where we will all get together before we return to Little Whinging."
"Another thing you need to know, is that giving anything for animals to eat is strictly prohibited." Said the teacher responsible for the first year, a black woman with a stern and kind look, and also the oldest of the five teachers. "This can not only give more trouble to the caretakers, but also do some harm to the animals."
"However," pointed out the third-year teacher, the youngest among them, with his curly hair and a thin beard, which made him look older than he was. "in some areas, there are small kiosks where you can get small portions of feed or food from the zoo staff to give to some animals."
"Warnings given and observations made, now we can start our class." The fourth year teacher speaks.
Just half an hour before the tour ended, Naruto was in the zoo's snake wing, watching two coral snakes perform their mating ritual; when something behind you happens, taking your attention away from the couple of animals.
"Go gecko without paws, do something!" shouted a blond boy with green eyes, two or three years older than Naruto, to a large snake that was behind a glass plate.
"It's not working like that Andrew, try to hit the glass." Asks a girl, very similar to Andrew, just a little smaller and maybe a year younger.
"Go on, move!!" Andrew scolded, doing what his sister asked.
"She's sleeping Richards." Naruto said, making the two brothers look at him. "You should stop bothering her."
"Ah, she's just Naruto's strange nerd. - Retorts the girl, looking at the redhead as if she is looking at nothing." Come on Andrew, I don't want his weird nerd to pass on to us.
"Of course Charlotte, you don't have to worry about that." Andrew agreed, leaving the place, followed by his sister.
"Sorry for them." Said Naruto, seeing the snake open his eyes, after being taken out of his sleep. "They are just stupid bullies."
"Okay, it happens a lot, you don't have to worry about it." A female and hissing voice replied, it was from the snake, which rose a little to look at Potter. "I had never met a speaker before."
"How can you understand me?" He questioned the redhead, confused. "And what would a speaker be?"
"I do not know how to explain, it is as if something in me knew, but could not say." Also confused, the snake replied. "I just know that I can understand you, the speaker."
"I understand. Murmured the boy, looking at a sign below the glass sign." You are a good constrictor. Do you miss Brazil by any chance? Did you have family there?"
"I don't know, I was never in Brazil, I was born in captivity." Says the snake, sad.
"I know how it is." Naruto spoke, in an empathetic tone. "I was also separated from my parents, I hardly remember them."
"I'm sorry." Regrets the Boa constrictor.
"Thanks." Potter thanked, opening a smile.
"You're welcome." Responds the snake, returning the smile, with a meaningless hiss and a flick of his tongue.
"Hey Dudley, come see what the weird Naruto is doing!" Shouted Malcolm, one of Dudley's friends. "Pyers, Gordon, come too!!"
"Get out of the way!" Dudley scolds, pushing Naruto aside, making him fall to the floor.
"What do you think this thing can do?" Pyers asks, looking at the snake.
"I don't know, does anyone here remember what the teacher said?" Gordon asked in response.
"I don't." Malcolm replied. "Do you know what to do Dudley?"
"Leave it to me, I had an idea." Said Dursley, before he started hitting the glass with his big fist for his age. "Come on, move! Do something your slimy thing!"
"They don't get tired of pestering others, do they?" Already getting irritated, Naruto wonders in thought, watching the four boys hit the glass, just bothering the innocent snake. "Someone needs to put this little walrus and the three idlers in place."
At this point, before Dudley and his friends could hit the glass again, it breaks completely, and the fragments fly as if the plate has exploded. This fact shocks both the four child offenders and Naruto, who was still trying to understand what had happened.
Expectedly, the huge Brazilian boa comes out of its "prison", making mention of lashing out at the four boys who were bothering her, which leads them to run and scream.
"Thank you, speaker!" The snake thanks you, staring at Naruto.
"You're welcome." Potter replied, watching the magnificent boa turn and start to crawl out of the place.
"Brazil, here I come!" Boa constrictor hissed excitedly.
Still stunned, Naruto gets up and heads towards the exit of the reptile wing, before going to the food court, knowing that the boa constrictor must have already managed to escape, or - more likely - was captured by the zoo staff. . After a few minutes, all the students were already assembled by the teachers.
"I will ask only once, what happened to that boa constrictor to escape?" Asks Ralph Leonard, the professor responsible for the third year, with a severe tone.
"It was Dudley and his friends, Mr. Leonard." Naruto replied, accusing the four. "They kept hitting the glass, and ended up breaking it."
"Boys, you guys made a huge mess," scolds Rachel, harshly and conscientiously. "Put their lives and Naruto's lives at risk. That snake could have attacked you."
"But we didn't miss you. Scott!" The four argued.
"Did you hit the glass?" She asked.
"Yes, but it was Na..." Dudley replied.
"How could your cousin have been, if you admitted that you were hitting the glass?" Ralph asks. "We will communicate to the principal, and he will contact your parents."
"I will go to the zoo administration, give them their parents' names," said Anna Jendayi, the responsible for the first year. "so that they can charge you the fine for replacing the glass that you foolishly and dangerously broke."
"You will also receive two weeks of detention, boys, and nothing to complain about!" Scott speaks, scolding when the four would protest. "Come on, we need to report this incident to the director, and it was time to go back."
After being punished by Vernon, with the usual beatings with the belt, for "putting adorable Dudders and his friends in troubles, and we made him spend money because of his freak stuff", in the words of his uncle; Naruto went to make lunch for his uncles and cousin. Of course, while doing it, the redhead set aside a part for himself, and ate hidden while his relatives did the same in the dining room.
As soon as he finished washing the dishes, Naruto took the lawn mower and went out to do his gardening services for the new resident of Privet Drive, who from now on would become his teacher in vampirism.
"Looks like you're really excited." Maxwell commented when he saw the boy arrive at his house, while reading the hours on a pocket watch. "Punctual as a stereotyped Brit.
"I like to be punctual, Colonel." Naruto replied, winding the lawn mower. "Besides, the more time I spend away from the presence of those three, the better.
- In this case, it can take as long as you want to mow the lawn, I will prepare some necessary things for the first lesson. - Said the lieutenant colonel, returning to the house.
Half an hour later, Naruto was almost finished mowing the lawn at Ericksen's house, when he stopped and turned to the man, who was watching him.
"Colonel, can I ask you a question?" Ask the redhead.
"You're already doing it, but go ahead." Maxwell agrees.
"There are two questions in one, sir; How long have you been a vampire?" Asked Potter. "And do you, as a vampire, know anything about the existence of wizards?"
"I was born before the Victorian era, in 1816, and I became a vampire in 1849." Ericksen responds in a direct and objective tone. "And yes, I know a lot about wizards. An old friend of mine, Kendra Saint-John went to Hogwarts, the British Isles' school of magic, and married a wizard after graduating, Percival Dumbledore, a great man himself. They both made me godfather to Albus — his eldest son — and Ariana — the youngest daughter. But around 1858 or 1859 I ended up losing contact with them, when something happened to Ariana and Percival was arrested for killing some children in a fit of rage. But why did you ask me that question?
"I have had some cases of accidental magic, and I thought it was good to tell you, so that you do not think I am abnormal if there is an incident." Explained Naruto.
"I understand, but in this case, you are a heretic, but it has nothing to do with the inquisition of the Catholic Church, it is completely different." Says the adult vampire. "Heretic vampires are anomalies, vampires capable of using magic with as much or more potential than normal wizards. People like you are considered anomalies because, of course, it is not possible for someone to maintain their magical abilities when they become a vampire; either by transformation or activation of the dormant gene. You being a heretic may be due to the fact that you are not a wizard, but a sorcerer."
"Before you ask, there is a difference between wizards and sorcerers, both are terms that the magic community uses as synonyms, but they are different in essence. Wizards are people who draw their magic from the environment that surrounds it, from nature in the general, or creatures with inherent magic, fairies for example. Wizards are individuals who learn magic and improve their skills through years of study and research. Sorcerers are those who are born with the ability to generate their own magic. , channel it and absorb the magic of the medium. But "wizard" was adopted as a conventional term. Do you understand?"
"Yes sir. Naruto nodded." I finished, we can start with the lessons.
"They started from the moment you asked me that question, Potter." The lieutenant colonel says, entering the house again. "Come."
Thus, Naruto follows Ericksen to the kitchen, where — by order of the eldest — he sits in a chair at the dinner table. Maxwell goes to the fridge and takes out a bag of O negative blood, and puts the contents of it in two glasses, filling them completely.
"The main thing you need to know as a vampire, is that you should start eating gradually, drink it." Maxwell said, putting one of the glasses in front of Naruto, while raising the other to his lips. "But go slowly, it will help you keep control of the thirst."
"Okay." Naruto replied, taking the glass and sipping some of its contents, feeling a metallic flavor with a sweet and soft touch, before taking a more generous sip, feeling his blood capillaries dilate around his eyes; before turning the glass over, accelerating the pace of his sips.
"Slow down boy!" Says the colonel, reinforcing what he said before, putting his hand over the redhead's. "Control has to be acquired from the first sip, and this is your first time feeding on something other than small rodents."
"Understood, sorry." Regretted the redhead, drinking more slowly.
"Another thing you need to know, is how we, the Homo sapiens hematophagous, are classified, because believe me, there are differences between vampires." Maxwell introduces the explanation. "There are two main groups of vampires, the "living vampires" and the "dead" vampires. The magical community has more knowledge about dead vampires, they have this name because most of the time they are small in size and look cadaverous and putrid; the Ghouls and Wendigos are part of that group. They are irrational, generally living solitary in areas of forest or forest, peeking and attacking animals and humans that live in the surroundings. currently, they are not a serious threat, due to their low numbers resulting from the action of hunters with common sense. Any questions?"
"No, the name is kind of self-explanatory." Answered the boy. "I suppose the living vampires are completely different from the dead."
"Living vampires are the most numerous group, and least known by the magical community and parents by the sleeping, people with no latent ability to use magic, because we are very present in their literature. And as you deduced, they are very different from the dead; unlike them, we are as rational as humans; and like these, we live in social groups, at least the majority of good people live." The man continues. "There are three subclasses of live vampires; Móroi, Dhampir and Strigoi. Móroi are the complete vampires, descendants of the first vampires, called Progenitors; Dhampires are vampires with 25 to 50% human DNA, children of a Moro with a human or two Dhampires, but there are also cases like mine, where a human receives large amounts of a vampire's blood in his system; lastly we have the Strigoi, they are similar to the Móroi, but they have completely surrendered to the negative side of vampire nature, giving up control of their thirst and ferocity completely, so they cannot leave in daylight. Of the three groups, the one with the most representatives in the literature of the sleeping people is that of the Strigoi."
"Which of these races do I fit into?" Asked Naruto, curious, after drying his glass.
"You are between a Dhampir or Móroi, but I can't say for sure." Ericksen replied. "There was never a case of a vampire awake, so maybe one of his parents, or both, has the gene, only asleep. Have you had any near-death experience?"
"About two months before I started to thirst for blood, I think; my uncle, drunk, set fire to the house, "explained Potter, in a sad tone, for remembering what he was talking about. "my twin brother burned to death and I survived for unknown reasons, until the firefighters found me. Apparently I had inhaled a lot of smoke, as well as having several broken bones, including some ribs. Apparently it was at that moment that my vampire gene awoke, and, together with my magic, it kept me alive and healed me."
"In this case, there is a strong chance that you are a Moroi," said the older vampire. "only a vampire gene from a Moroi can survive many generations asleep. This makes it more necessary for you to learn how to eat properly."
That said, Ericksen takes another bag of blood from the refrigerator, refilling Potter's glass.
"Focus on how the blood flows into your throat, feel it supply your need and believe that it is not necessary for you to fight to be able to quench your thirst and hunger, because you already have your own to quench them." Instructed the man, watching the boy do as he was told. "Stay calm, don't let the sensation take you over; you control your instincts, not the other way around. Breathe slowly and deeply."
Just like before, the arteries around the redhead's eyes widened and his pulse became faster, but the boy kept concentrating on controlling himself, breathing deeply, calmly and continuing while he drank the blood that was in his glass, sip through sip, allowing each drop to make your will be quenched.
(Flashback off)
"I keep wondering what other things I will still discover." Mutters Naruto, before closing his eyes, finally getting to sleep.
