*?'s Perspective*

I wake up and am greatly surprised.

(I'm alive!)

With the forest now bathed in the sun's bright light, I get up and stretch my muscles before continuing to search for an exit. But as I start out, once again in high hopes that I'll be able to leave this place, again those hopes are quickly dashed. Every turn I make seems to lead me deeper in the forest. I want the exact opposite to happen.

(Man...am I going deeper again?)

I hear the rustling come back.

(Oh no. I don't know what is making that sound, but I sure don't wanna find out.)

I speed up, and my leg starts throbbing again. Then I trip through some low branches, scratching my legs and arms up badly. Now I have many cuts all over my arms and legs. Some of them are even bleeding. I hightail it through the woods as fast as I can. But the woods seem to get darker and more dense the longer I run.

(Why does it feel like I'm going the complete wrong way?)

I decide to retrace my steps, but I suddenly realize that I've gotten myself lost AGAIN.

(Why does this keep happening?!)

I sigh in disappointment and proceed through the forest. Then the rustling comes again, this time very close to me. I give a sharp exclamation and run as fast as I can. Soon, the forest is so dense and dark that I can barely see my hand in front of my face. To make matters worse, a weird white shimmering mist has descended over the forest. The atmosphere has just gotten a lot creepier, causing goosebumps to appear on my arms and run up and down my spine.

(What is this fog? Creepy...)

I then see the silhouette of a strange figure flying in the fog. I freeze in place until it vanishes.

(Phew! It's gone now!)

I shakily move forward through the trees, sticking to the shadows. Then, I hear the rustling close by yet again. A loud buzzing sound suddenly starts up. I jump and land on my rump before backing up to a tree. Then, a very angry giant bee with narrowed red eyes, long stingers for arms, and an extended stinger on its butt flies out from the fog. I shrink back, afraid for my life.

(Please don't kill me.)

It flies closer to me. I start to whimper in fear.

"P-please! Please don't kill me! I don't know what I did! Please! D-don't!"

It still approaches. As I start to close my eyes in acceptance of my fate, I hear a loud cry.

"BULBA!"

I open my eyes to see a small, green, four-pawed lizard with a plant bulb on its back jump in between me and the bee.

"SAUR!"

Then, seeds are shot out of the bulb on its back, and they hit the bee in the face.

"Drill!"

The bee retaliates by firing some darts from its stinger, and the lizard dodges them. Said creature used a vine that came out of the bulb and whipping the bee, slamming it into a tree. The giant angry bee gets back up and attempts to stab the plant lizard with one of the long sharp stingers it has for arms. The plant lizard then narrows its eyes.

"Bulba!"

I watch in amazement as another vine shoots out of the bulb. This one wraps around the bee before flinging it far away. I then shrink back and whimper as the lizard plant creature turns to face me.

"Bulba?"

It walks up to me. I whimper again.

"D-dont hurt me..."

It goes right up to me, and I'm whimpering, cringing, and bracing for death. Then it nuzzles my chest. I open my eyes in shock.

"Y- you're not gonna...kill me?"

It then looks up at me and suddenly uses one of its paws to give me a yellow seed with a golden glow to it. I take it and put it in my pocket quickly.

"W-what is this? For me?"

It nods and then uses a vine to point in a direction.

"Bulba Bulba."

I look in disbelief.

"Th-that's the way out?"

It nods.

"B-but that's deeper into the fog...I'm scared..."

The lizard plant creature nods again, and wraps a vine around one of my arms. Then it helps me to my feet, and begins gently pulling me towards the direction it pointed. We walk together into the scary mist. I make sure to stay close as I can to it. Like it or not, it DID save me from the bee.

(I guess I can trust this thing? At least for now...)

Then, suddenly the loud buzzing returns. The creature removes the vine and sprints off after the bee.

"BULBASAUR!"

"W-wait!"

It's gone into the foggy forest already. I sigh and continue walking in the direction I was guided to...on my own. As I'm walking through, I see it's starting to get darker somehow. That can only mean it's about to turn night. As I'm starting to give up on leaving the forest, I see a young boy, dressed all in green, running ahead of me. I call out to him.

"Hey! Can you help me out?!"

He doesn't seem to hear me and keeps on running through the forest. I start to run after him.

(Finally! Another person! Surely if I follow him I can find my way out!)

"Wait!"

He keeps running. Then he just vanishes in the fog. Like he wasn't ever there...I start to wonder if I'm losing my mind. I mean...I technically already lost my mind in one aspect, since I lost all my memories.

(Man...I need to get out of this forest fast. I'm seeing things. First that bee, then that lizard plant...thing, now a boy dressed in all green.)

I trudge onward. Then, finally my right leg gives out. I stumble forward.

"WOAH!"

Then I rolled down a hill and hit a tree, dazing me. As I shake off the dizziness, I hear a sound next to me. This causes me to panic. I quickly back up as best I can with only one working leg. Then I bump into something behind me. I turn around and jump back as I see someone is there. When I look at the someone, it is eyeing me curiously. This 'someone' is a fair skinned girl with long green hair and a short grey dress. She appears to have just woken up. She doesn't just eye me, she glares at me.

"U-um...hello?"

She glares harder at me. I immediately start shrinking back. Then she speaks in a soft yet powerful voice.

"Did you kidnap me and bring me here to Kanto? All the way from Unova?!"

I am scared, and stammer.

"N-n-no. W-who are y-you? W-what is...what is Kanto? A-and Unova?"

The girl then stops glaring upon hearing me start to whimper in fear. Then she slowly approaches me.

"Hey...it's alright. I didn't mean to scare you. I thought you kidnapped me from my home and brought me into Kanto's Viridian Forest. But I see that you couldn't have. You wouldn't have the emotional strength to do something like that."

I still am whimpering as I'm afraid she may attack me at any moment.

"D-don't...don't hurt me...please...I don't know who I am. I don't know WHERE I am. I don't know WHO YOU ARE. P-please..."

The green haired girl then looks shocked.

"Sorry...did I hear you correctly? You said you don't know who you are?!"

I nod, still trembling. The girl then gets up to her feet and walks over and hugs me.

"I'm...I'm sorry that I scared you by accusing you of kidnapping me...you were just the first one I saw so..."

I slowly nod.

"Woah...human...you're trembling violently. It's ok. Calm down."

I suddenly realized that I was trembling so hard that I was shaking her slightly. I try to calm down by taking deep breaths, but I end up hyperventilating. The girl strokes my back gently.

"It's ok. It's ok. You look really young, but you don't seem like a bad guy. Don't cry. I won't hurt you."

I realized I was starting to sniff. The girl starts singing softly, and I calm down soon after.

"There we go."

She stands up again.

"Here. Let's get out of Viridian Forest together."

She holds out her hand, and I grab it. She helps me to my feet, and then I look at her.

"Who...who are you?"

She starts, then laughs.

"Oh right. I have yet to introduce myself. I'm the Mythical Pokémon Meloetta!"

She starts leading me through the forest...
