Jaune was now in a bullhead, he is heading to Beacon, thanks to his father's contact, he was able to get accepted in Beacon, the family reunion happened about a month ago, it was a very heart-warming reunion, Jaune was able to meet his older sisters and his new younger siblings, he was happy that he was no longer the youngest, all in all, it was a happy reunion.
Until Jaune had to explain what happened to him, he told them about ending up in a different dimension, at first, they did not believe him, they thought he was making it up, he showed his Panther Habit Suit and White Panther Aircraft, in the beginning, they believed that he probably just got the tech from Atlas, but one of his sisters who has a connection to Atlas denied such a tech, then as a last resort, Jaune challenged his father to a spar.
Needless to say, that was a quick fight, his father was an okay fighter but he relied on his aura to tank hits, Jaune with his superhuman reflex and flexibility was easily able to dodge each hit from his father, and a hit from Jaune was so hard that it took more than twenty per cent of his Aura and Arc's are known to have incredibly high Aura Capacity.
In the end, they thought that Jaune already had his Aura unlocked, they tried to use a scroll to measure it, but it was not detecting it, that was when Jaune's father realises that he fought Jaune with everything he had without realising that his son did not have Aura, he apologised to Jaune, but Jaune just shrugged at it.
A few weeks later, Jaune's parents asked him what he plans to do in the future, he quickly answered bu telling them that now that he was back on Remnant, he plans to continue his dream of being a huntsman, Jaune's father reluctantly agreed and so did his Mom, they did not want to lose their son again, but they also knew that Jaune could take care of himself, so as support, Jaune's father unlocked his Aura for him, this caused his already superhuman abilities to skyrocket, especially his Regenerative Healing Factor.
While he was thinking about things that happened in the past month, he heard to girls talking, one of them was enthusiastic while the other seemed to be quite reserved, she seemed too not be very social.
"Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!" The blondie said in a very exciting way.
"Please stop." The red-haired said while gasping for air.
"But I'm so proud of you!" the Blondie said.
"Sis, it was nothing." The red-haired said in a shy manner.
"What do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knees." The blondie said in a very energetic way.
"I don't want to be the bee's knees, okay? I don't want to be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees." the red-haired said.
"What's with you? Aren't you excited?" the blondie questioned.
"Of course, I'm excited... I just...I got moved ahead two years. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything." The red-haired said.
"But you are special." The blondie said.
Jaune decided to tune them out, he looked outside and he was slightly surprised that Beacon Academy was a castle, but he was not impressed, after all, he lived in a castle as well, but the difference was the castle that he lived on was made from Vibranium, nonetheless, Jaune still used his Kimoyo beads to take pictures, it took him a few days to find a way to use his Kimoyo beads to connect to a scroll but now it was fully functional, he doesn't need a scroll, he can just use his Kimoyo beads to do what scrolls can do.
When the Bullhead landed, Jaune kept taking pictures of the surroundings, he even went to the edge of the landing area to get a better picture of the castle and the forest area, it was also at this moment that he heard a loud bang, which happens to be an explosion caused by to people, one of them was the red-haired one that he heard speaking in the bullhead, the other was a white-haired girl who looks like she lived in luxury her whole life due to the way she was speaking and the butlers in the background.
Jaune watched as a raven-haired girl approach the two people responsible for the explosion, she said something that the white-haired girl did not like, and after that, she just left, all that remains was the red-haired girl who is now very dejected and decided to lay down on the crater that she co-created.
"Hey... I'm Jaune." Jaune said while offering her a hand.
"Ruby," the now-named Ruby said.
"Nice explosion by the way," Jaune said with a chuckle.
"Hey! That was an accident, I tripped over some crabby girl's luggage, and then she yelled at me, and then I sneezed, and then I exploded, and then she yelled at me again, and I felt bad, and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me! Then there was another girl who helped me, but she disappeared, then I felt dejected and just wanted to crawl into a hole!" Ruby shouted.
"And since there were no holes, you decided to crawl into the crater that you made," Jaune said jokingly while laughing.
"Hey! That's just mean!" Ruby shouted but she knew that Jaune was just joking so she played along.
"Sorry, sorry," Jaune said.
The next few minutes Ruby and Jaune made their way somewhere, they just kept walking in silence, in awkward silence, for some reason Ruby looked nervous, but she was able to gather the courage to speak to Jaune and end the awkward silence.
"So, I got this thing!" Ruby shouted while showcasing her Scythe.
"Whoa! Is that a scythe? Damn! It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle!" Jaune said in excitement.
"H-How did you know?!" Ruby asked.
"I may not look it, but I am very good with nerdy things," Jaune said.
"With the way you look, those toned muscles, and I bet you have some amazing abs…Sorry!" Ruby said, she apologised since she was staring at his body.
"Ha-ha-ha, don't sweat it, Ruby, you were not the first to stare at me that way," Jaune said, this just made Ruby hide in her cloak's hood, but Jaune pulled her hood back down and told her that she did not need to be embarrassed, what was Ruby to do to get out of the embarrassment, she asked him what his weapon was.
"So, what weapon you got?" Ruby asked.
"Well, I got this sword and shield, the shield can get smaller to make sure that it isn't cumbersome to carry, and according to my dad it was a family heirloom," Jaune said.
"I like it! Not many people have an appreciation for the classics these days. But do you have any other things, you did say that you are good with the nerdy stuff," Ruby said.
"Ah! That would be a secret until I show it later, I want to be a bit mysterious, to keep you intrigued!" Jaune said.
"Oh, come on, just a little hint, please," Ruby pleaded.
"Nope!" Jaune said.
"Fine! So, Jaune, why'd you help me out back there? In the courtyard?" Ruby asked.
"Because I saw that you needed help, and I knew that helping you would be the right thing to do…plus you are cute, and I couldn't just leave you on the ground," Jaune said no knowing that what he said just caused Ruby to blush the same colour as her cloak.
"C-cute, he just called me cute," Ruby mumbled to herself thinking that Jaune did not hear her.
"That's right you're cute, is that a problem?" Jaune said.
"Not at all! Sorry, it's just that no one outside my family has called me that…Hey, where are we going?" Ruby asked.
"I don't know, I was just following you…give me a second," Jaune said while he used his super senses to listen to a location with the most noise and activity.
"Jaune, what are you doing?" Ruby asked.
"Aha! I found where we are supposed to go," Jaune said.
"Really! How did you do that? You were just standing there," Ruby asked.
"I used my hearing to find the please with the most noise, therefore the place with the most activity," Jaune said.
"That's so cool! I wish I could do that!" Ruby said.
"Come on, Ruby! We need to get going, apparently, the headmaster is going to make a speech, I don't think we should miss it," Jaune said while he started running.
"Hey! Wait for me, I don't know where the place we are going too!" Ruby said.
Jaune and Ruby ran all the wait to the auditorium, when they got there the place was packed with all the new students that are going to go through the initiation, and from the crowd, they recognized a blonde set of hair that looks more like mane in the crowd, she was wave at their location.
"Oh! Hey, I-I got to go! I'll see you after the ceremony!" Ruby said why she ran towards the blondie.
"Ah, great. Where am I supposed to find another nice, quirky girl to talk to?" Jaune asked himself.
Jaune proceeded to enter the auditorium to look for a place he can stand to listen to the speech of the headmaster.
The next morning, Jaune was sleeping in the ballroom just like everyone else, then a loud girl started shouting.
"Wake up, lazy butt! It's morning! It's morning! It's morning! It's morning!" a red-haired girl shouted in a sing-song way.
"Ugh…" the boy with a magenta streak grunted.
"I can't believe we've been at Beacon for a full twenty-four hours! Not that I thought we'd get kicked out or anything, I mean, you're the perfect student and I'm... well, I'm me! But it's just crazy, you know?" the red-haired girl said.
You would think this would have woken Jaune up, but it did not, what woke Jaune up was the fact that he heard a voice in his head.
"It's time to wake up, sir," the voice said, this immediately got Jaune to sit up, he started looking around but no one was near him.
"What was that voice?" Jaune asked himself.
"That would be me, sir, I was designed by lead engineer Shuri, to be of aid to you, I am N'lix, A.I. within the Panther-Habit Suit," N'lix said.
"What, but I have been using the Panther-Habit suit for a while now, why only show yourself now?" Jaune questioned.
"That is because I was not ready yet, I was still decrypting all data within my database, it needed time before I was fully activated," N'lix said.
"Cool, so, what are your capabilities?" Jaune asked.
"I am capable of aiding you in combat, I can easily activate the weaponry within the Panther-Habit suit, such as the Vibranium Strike Gauntlet, and the Vibranium Vambrace, I can also communicate with your Kimoyo beads to send data to peoples scroll or computers, and many other similar capabilities," N'lix said.
"Wait…did you say that my Panther-Habit suit has a Vibranium Strike Gauntlet?" Jaune asked.
"That's right, Lady Shuri saw that you were eyeing the Strike Gauntlets, so, she installed them in your suit," N'lix said.
"What exactly is in your database, N'lix?" Jaune asked.
"I have multiple blueprints that Lady Shuri has made, along with other incomplete creation that she said you would be able to complete on your own, and she also left you a message…would you like me to play you the message," N'lix asked.
"Go on and play the message for me, N'lix," Jaune said, then he heard the voice of Shuri.
"Hey there, Jaune. I hope you like the A.I. that I created for you, I also installed different weapons and shield within your Panther suit, but I just wanted to tell you that as much as you love training your body and spirit, it is best that you also train your mind, that is why I gave N'lix blueprints that I believe you will find useful, and I know you will think that you won't have the materials to make them, that is why I snuck a tonne of Vibranium into the White Panther Aircraft, by the way, I named the ship 'The Dagger', from there, you should be able to use it to aid you in your upcoming battles, you do not have to worry about people being able to steal the Vibranium, it is locked with your DNA, only you would be able to access it or even know what it is, as others will perceive it as nothing more than a rock, I wish you luck, Jaune, I may be reprimanded for giving you such a huge amount of Vibranium," Shuri said in her message.
"Damn it, Shuri! If you knew that you will be badly reprimanded, why did you have to do it, and I know for a fact that you will be punished harshly for this, I just hope that they don't punish her too much, other people were already questioning her as a chief weapon designer," Jaune said to himself.
"Sir, you don't have to worry, she was just being dramatic, according to my database, the amount of Vibranium that was given to you was authorised by the king himself, King T'Challa," N'lix said.
"If that is the case, thank god, because now I don't have to worry, does she know how much I worry about her safety and she jokes about this," Jaune said, he got up and headed to the locker room to have a shower, then he headed into the cafeteria to have breakfast, he then headed back to the locker room to take his sword and shield.
"So, you seem awfully chipper this morning!" the blondie said.
"Yep! No more awkward small talk or "getting-to-know-you" stuff. Today, I get to let my sweetheart do the talking." Ruby said excitedly.
"Well, remember, Ruby, you're not the only one going through initiation. If you want to grow up, you're going to have to meet new people and learn to work together." The blondie said.
"You sound like Dad! Okay, first of all, what does meeting new people have to do with fighting? And secondly, I don't need people to help me grow up! I drink milk!" Ruby stated.
"But what about when we form teams?" the Blondie asked.
"Um, I don't know, I... I'll just be on your team or something...maybe Jaune will be a good partner and not just as a teammate," Ruby said while stuttering and muttering the last bit.
Maybe you should try being on someone else's team? And would you repeat the last thing that you said, I couldn't understand you," Blondie said.
"My dear sister Yang, are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me? And I am not repeating what I just said earlier," Ruby said.
Yang the now-named blondie and Ruby continued talking, Jaune heard everything they were talking about, he was searching for his locker, when he found it, he saw that two people were in front of it.
"Excuse me, do you mind moving a bit?" Jaune asked.
"Excuse me! Do you know who I am or the person I was talking to?" the white-haired girl asked.
"With that kind of attitude, I don't want to know who you are," Jaune said.
"I am Weiss Schnee! Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company! And this is Pyrrha Nikos, a four-time Mistral Tournament Champion, after hearing all of this, do you think you're in a position to speak with us in that tone," Weiss said.
"What tone, I just politely asked you to move since you are blocking my locker," Jaune said in a deadpan face and voice. This made Weiss embarrassed so she just 'Hmph' and left.
"It was nice meeting you!" Pyrrha said.
"Likewise," Jaune replied, then he proceeded to take his sword and shield, and a few seconds later the PA system sounded.
"Would all first-year students please report to Beacon Cliff for initiation? Again, all first-year students report to Beacon Cliff immediately." The Voice in the PA sounded which happens to be Glynda Goodwitch, he recognized the voice from the speech the other day.
Jaune headed to the Beacon Cliff just like he was instructed, there he saw all his fellow initiate, which includes the haughty heiress Weiss, the four-time Mistral Champion, Ruby and her sister Yang, the loud girl from the morning, and the boy with the magenta streak.
"For years, you have trained to become warriors, and today, your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." The headmaster said, which Jaune remembers as Ozpin.
"Now, I'm sure many of you have heard rumours about the assignment of 'teams'. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates... today." The deputy headmistress said name Glynda Goodwitch said.
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon. So, it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." Ozpin said.
"What! You got to be kidding right!" Ruby shouted.
"I am not, and please remain quiet until after I speak. After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path... or you will die." Ozpin said.
This got other students to chatter among themselves, they don't know what to expect, but they are going to do everything they can to get accepted into Beacon, one of the most prestigious academies in Remnant.
"You will be monitored and graded through the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Are there any questions?" Ozpin said, this relaxed most of the students, they were relieved that there will be professors monitoring them.
One by one, Ozpin launched the students into the Emerald Forest, they each flew with style, whether it be Ruby, Yang, Weiss, Pyrrha, the loud girl, or the boy who has a magenta streak, they all had fun being launched, but Ozpin did not launch Jaune just yet.
"Young man, why do you not have your armour on?" Ozpin asked
"It's fine, what I am wearing is a protective gear although it may not look like it," Jaune said, the clothes he was wearing is the few essential things that Shuri packed for him, it was a shirt, trouser, and underwear that is woven with some Vibranium mesh, it may not be as protective as the Panther-Habit suit, but it will still be able to block .50 calibre bullets.
"All right, if you are sure, then good luck with the initiation, young man," Ozpin said.
Jaune was hurled by the catapult into the Emerald Forest, he jumped from tree to tree when he landed, then he saw the girl named Pyrrha Nikos fighting a bunch of Beowolves and Ursai, she did not need help as she was doing quite well but Jaune decided to join in, he jumped down without her hearing anything from Jaune, this was due to the shoes that Jaune was wearing, the sneakers that Shuri made, he proceeded to beat down the Beowolves and Ursai by hitting them hard enough in their neck, it was hard enough to snap it.
"Thank you for the assist…and I am sorry for what happened earlier in the lockers, I would like to reintroduce myself, I am Pyrrha Nikos," Pyrrha said.
"Names Jaune Arc, you can just call me Jaune," Jaune said.
"Uhm, Jaune, do you happen to already have a partner?" Pyrrha asked.
"I do not...the headmaster launched me later than everyone since he wanted to ask me where my armour was," Jaune said.
"I see…that makes us partners then?" Pyrrha asked.
"Yup! Now let's go and look for those Relics," Jaune said.
"That would be grand!" Pyrrha said happily since she got a partner that doesn't know her as 'The Invincible Girl', she was determined to keep him as her partner.
Jaune and Pyrrha walked throughout the Emerald Forest for a few minutes, they did not find anything, so, while searching Pyrrha made small talk with Jaune to pass the time.
"So, Jaune. Can I ask? How did you drop from the trees without making any noise?" Pyrrha asked.
"That would be due to my shoes, a genius and friend named Shuri made them, it is completely sound absorbent, no matter how much I run, stomp, kick, jump, it would not make any noise," Jaune said.
"That is amazing! Do you think that friend of yours will be able to sell them to me? I would like one of them, my current set is not quiet in the least," Pyrrha asked.
"Unfortunately, I can't visit her at the moment, the distance between us is tremendous, but if there is a time that I can meet her, I will ask for you," Jaune said before they arrived at a cave.
"Jaune, do you think this is it?" Pyrrha asked.
"I don't think so, I can smell a very powerful scent inside, and it smells the same as the Grimm that we just fought, but it is stronger," Jaune said.
"Wait! You can smell Grimm?" Pyrrha asked.
"I can, they smell like burnt body, but the stench is worst the stronger they are, their smell makes the hair in the back of my neck raise," Jaune said.
"That is amazing! I don't think anyone has ever been able to smell Grimm, Jaune you are amazing!" Pyrrha shouted in excitement, but this was a bad move, due to her shout, the Grimm that was living in the cave woke up and busted through the cave entrance.
"That was my bad… I'm sorry! We need to run!" Pyrrha shouted, and they both proceeded to run away from the cave. Jaune could take on the Deathstalker quite easily but he decided to follow his partner instead.
While running, Jaune and Pyrrha met with the raven-haired girl from the other day and Yang, Ruby's sister, if what Jaune heard in the locker room was correct, then he heard Ruby's Voice.
"Heads up!" Ruby shouted.
Jaune quickens his pace, he used the trees around to jump high enough to catch the falling Ruby from the sky.
"Are you alright there, Ruby?" Jaune asked.
"I'm alright, I didn't break anything," Ruby said.
"Did your sister just fall from the sky?" the raven-haired girl said. Yang did not have words for that, not a second later they hear something coming from the dense forest.
"YEEEE-HAAAAW! Awwww…It's broken," the loud girl from earlier said.
"Nora! Please... Don't ever do that again." The magenta streak boy said, but the loud girl now named Nora, was not listening, instead, she was intrigued by one of the chess pieces in the temple.
"Ooooooh, I'm queen of the castle! I'm queen of the castle!" Nora said in sing-song.
"Nora!" the magenta streak boy said.
"Coming, Ren!" Nora said.
"Did that girl just ride in on an Ursa?" the raven-haired girl asked, and again Yang did not have any words for it.
"Jaune!" Pyrrha shouted while still being chased by a Deathstalker.
"Did she just run all the way here with a Death Stalker on her tail?" the raven-haired girl once again asked her partner.
"I can't take it anymore! Can everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again?!" Yang shouted.
"Umm, Yang?" Ruby asked while tugging at her sister's sleeve and pointing at her falling partner.
"How could you leave me?!" Weiss said.
"I said 'jump'!" Ruby shouted.
Weiss fell from the Nevermore, nobody did anything about it, so Jaune jumped in the air using the trees again to catch her, yet even after Jaune saved her she was still acting like she was a queen.
"Great! The gang's all here! Now we can die together!" Yang shouted with her eyes turning red as she talked.
"Not if I can help it!" Ruby shouted while she charged at the Deathstalker.
Ruby screaming while firing her Scythe Crescent Rose and charging at the oncoming Death Stalker. When the two meets, the Grimm swipes Ruby away and she is knocked back.
"D-Do-Don't worry! Totally fine!" Ruby said while getting up from the ground, she turns back to the Deathstalker and fires a round at its head before running away from it and towards Yang.
While heading in Yang's direction, Ruby did not see the Nevermore fire a feather at her, Yang tries to help Ruby but she couldn't as her path was blocked with feather projectiles, it was at this point that Jaune ran towards Ruby, he ran past her, he then jumped in the air, grabbed one of the feathers mid-flight that was used as a projectile and toss it back at the Nevermore, completely obliterating its entire head, and letting it disintegrate in the air.
"Are you okay, Ruby?" Jaune asked.
"That was so cool! You were so fast, like swoosh then bam, you grabbed the feather and tossed it at the Grimm and killed it!" Ruby shouted.
"Holy shit! Hey P-money, do you think you can do that?" Yang asked Pyrrha, she recognised her in some of her tournament fights.
"I can't move that fast, let alone catch a projectile in mid-flight and toss it back," Pyrrha said.
"Umm, guys, we still have a Deathstalker to worry about." The raven-haired girl said.
"Blake's right! We have to deal with the Deathstalker," Yang said.
"That isn't very hard…Yang right," Jaune asked.
"That's right, but how did you know my name?" Yang asked.
"I heard Ruby call you multiple times," Jaune said.
"Ooooooh, so, what's your plan, if you say that it is easy to take care of the Deathstalker?" Yang asked.
"You, Pyrrha, and Ruby fire at its stinger, it should be able to make enough damage to break it off, from there the loud girl should be able to use her hammer to smash the stinger on to the Deathstalker, and she can use either me and my shield to boost her in the air for more power, or Pyrrha and her shield," Jaune said.
"That actually doesn't sound like a bad plan," Yang said.
And with that, they proceeded to go with the plan, and just like Jaune said, after continuous fire from Yang, Pyrrha and Ruby, they were able to break the stinger off and drop it on top of the Deathstalker, from there, Nora jumped on top of Jaune's shield, and he proceeded to send her into the air, Jaune was able to send her high enough without her having to use her hammers grenades, from there she proceeded to smash the stinger into the Deathstalker, killing it.
From there, they headed back to the auditorium of Beacon, but not without first taking a relic with them. When they got back, they saw other initiates already done with the mission to collect a relic.
"Russel Thrush, Cardin Winchester, Dove Bronzewing, Sky Lark. The four of you retrieved the black bishop pieces… From this day forward, you will work together as Team CRDL, led by...Cardin Winchester!" Ozpin announced.
The audience gives waves of applause, while four students walk up to the stage to take their places in front of the headmaster as their faces fill the screen.
"Jaune Arc, Lie Ren, Pyrrha Nikos, Nora Valkyrie. The four of you retrieved the white rook pieces…From this day forward, you will work together as Team JNPR, Led by…Jaune Arc!" Ozpin announced.
Pyrrha congratulated Jaune for being announced as a leader, Nora was hugging Ren in excitement, then Pyrrha bumped Jaune in the shoulders, they all smiled at each other then proceeded to get off the stage.
"And finally, Blake Belladonna, Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Yang Xiao Long…The four of you retrieved the white knight pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as Team RWBY, Led by...Ruby Rose!" Ozpin once again announced.
The whole group was happy for Ruby, except for one, she was angry that she wasn't chosen as a team leader, in her mind she was thinking that all her life she studied to be a leader, worked hard to be a leader, and now the appointment was given to some brat, who somehow snuck into Beacon.
"It looks like things are shaping up to be an... interesting year," Ozpin said, not knowing how right he was.
After the ceremony, all the teams that passed was shown to their dorm room, as it turns out, RWBY and JNPR are just neighbours across from each other, this made Ruby happy, she was glad that Jaune was just a door away, although she would never admit that she was glad that Jaune was so close to her dorm.
"Jaune! Can you teach me the thing that you did, you know the thing that made you go swoosh, then woah, then Bam, the thing that you did in the Emerald Forest!" Ruby said.
"Sure, but are you up to training with me, I am quite strict when it comes to training," Jaune said.
"If it makes me look as cool as it made you look…then it doesn't matter how hard the training is," Ruby said. 'With this, I can spend some time with him, maybe I will even see him shirtless when he gets too sweaty while training,' Ruby thought.
"Alright then, you can't complain if you are struggling," Jaune said, and Ruby just nodded at him before proceeding to enter her dorm and Jaune his.
When he entered, Jaune saw that his team started to unpack, and he decided to unpack as well, Jaune set-up his research station on a table close to his bed, most of Jaune's things seemed to look foreign, and this caught his team's attention and they started to ask him about it.
"Hey, fearless leader, what are those!?" Nora shouted while pointing at an item that looked like the sole of a shoe.
"Oh…those are my sneakers, I have multiple pairs of them," Jaune said.
"Wait! Those are shoes, but I thought that they were the thing that goes in the shoes, you know, the one that makes sure that your feet are comfortable?" Nora said in question.
"Just watch my feet…I am wearing one of them, and I am planning to take them off anyway, this way you will see how they work," Jaune said, then he proceeded to make the sneakers deactivate.
"Woah! That's amazing, I wish that I have one of those, can you imagine, I don't have to struggle to tie my boots," Nora said.
"Just like I told Pyrrha, if I have a chance to meet with my friend, I will ask her to make some for you as well," Jaune said.
"That's awesome! Thanks, fearless leader! Ren did you hear that, if he meets with his friend, I can have some awesome shoes that I don't have to bend over and tie," Nora said enthusiastically.
"I heard, Nora," Ren said.
"Hey, Jaune, can I ask, why do you wear those beads?" Pyrrha asked.
"That's because these beads replace my scroll, it can do everything a scroll does and more," Jaune said and he proceeded to activate it, a hologram was shown, then Jaune showed then that he could take pictures with it, or play music, search the web, etc…
After that, they all completely unpacked and decorated the room the way they liked, Jaune looked at the time and it was already midnight, they all agreed that they should all go to bed since their first class was going to be nine in the morning.
In team RWBY's dorm, they were talking, well… Yang was teasing her sister, Ruby, about having a crush on Jaune, which she vehemently denies. Weiss was wallowing in her anger at not being the team leader and Blake was reading her book.
This went on until two in the morning, they reluctantly went to sleep since they knew that they had class in a few hours, this was the reason that they would be late for Grimm studies.
The next morning, Jaune woke up, did his normal routine of running to keep his stamina up, then he took a shower, change to his Beacon uniform, then he proceeded to wake those who were still asleep, which was everyone. He tried to wake them up normally, but it was not working, he started waking them up at seven am, and it was now seven-thirty.
"Pyrrha, Nora, Ren, it's time to wake up! We have class at nine, and it is already eight-forty-five!" Jaune said.
Hearing this everyone woke up in a hurry, they started putting their uniform on, then they saw Jaune, standing in front of them laughing, it was then that they looked at the time, it was seven-thirty-seven.
"Jaune! Why would you do that? You could have woken us up normally," Pyrrha said.
"I tried! But nothing was working, so I resorted to this," Jaune said.
"I'm sorry!" Pyrrha said.
With that, they all took a shower, and change to their Beacon uniform, after all that, they headed to the cafeteria to eat breakfast. Nora ordered a huge stack of pancake, Ren ordered the same but a lot less, Pyrrha ordered salad, just salad no meat, no dressing, just salad, Jaune ordered some chicken nuggets and salad with some Caesar dressing.
"What do you think Grimm studies is like? I bet it's going to be the most exciting class besides combat class!" Nora said.
"Well, I have read that Beacon only hires the best there is, so, I'm hoping to learn a lot about Grimm from…Ah, here it is, his name is Peter Port," Pyrrha said while looking for who the Grimm studies professor was in her scroll.
"I agree with Pyrrha, learning about the Grimm will help us less the casualty of huntsman by understanding the behaviour of our enemy, their weakness and habits, therefore helping huntsman prepare for the worst," Ren said stoically.
After eating they headed to class, Jaune was wondering where Ruby and her team was, it was already nine and they were still not in class, Port arrived and they were still not there, Port started to speak about the content of the class and that was when team RWBY burst into class, Port tells them that they are off the hook since it was the first day of class but if it happens again, they will be sent to detention.
"Monsters! Deeeemons... Prowlers of the night! Yes, the creatures of Grimm have many names, but I merely refer to them as prey! Ha-ha!" Port states.
"And you shall too, upon graduating from this prestigious academy! Now, as I was saying, Vale, as well as the other three kingdoms, are safe havens in an otherwise treacherous world! Our planet is teeming with creatures that would love nothing more than to tear us to pieces! And that's where we come in, Huntsmen! Huntresses...Individuals who have sworn to protect those who cannot protect themselves! From what, you ask? Why, the very world!" Port says dramatically.
Port told the tales of his youth, of his grandfather's adventures and whatnot, all in all, it was boring as hell, Ruby was even just making a sketch of Port that says stinky, Ren was asleep, Pyrrha was trying hard to listen but would dose off from time to time, Weiss would try taking notes but there was nothing to write about, Yang was listen, NOT! She was trying to mess with her partner that was reading a book.
"The moral of this story? A true Huntsman must be honourable! A true Huntsman must be dependable! A true Huntsman must be strategic, well-educated, and wise! So, who among you believes themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?" Port asked while looking around the whole class.
"I do, sir!" Weiss shouted, still angry that Ruby was chosen as team leader when she has shown no quality of being a team leader.
"Well, then, let's find out! Step forward, and face your opponent!" Port said while showing a cage to everyone, a cage that no one even realises was there, besides Jaune, his sense of smell was able to detect that it was Grimm that was inside the cage when he entered the room.
Weiss headed to the locker room to change her uniform for her combat outfit, which was a skirt, well…a combat skirt.
"Goooo, Weiss!" Yang shouted.
"Fight well!" Blake said while waving a flag that says 'RWBY'.
"Yeah, represent Teeeeam RWBY!" Ruby shouted
"Ruby! I'm trying to focus!" Weiss shouted even though it was all of team RWBY that was cheering for her.
"Oh, um... Sorry..." Ruby apologised not knowing why Weiss was angry at her.
"Let the match... begin!" Port announced while cutting the cage lock with his blunderbuss-axe combo.
The Boarbatusk charged at Weiss and this slightly caught her off guard but she was able to use her sword to deflect its charge and she rolled to the side while readying herself for the next attack of the Grimm.
"Hang in there, Weiss! Come on, Weiss, show it who's boss!" these were the words that Ruby used to encourage Weiss but to no avail.
Weiss is now speeding towards the oncoming Boarbatusk, sticking her blade straight at its skull until they meet and Myrtenaster is trapped in the beast's tusks. Weiss is still hanging on to the hilt and is tossed around as she struggles to get the rapier back.
Weiss lost concentration due to her anger at Ruby, the Boarbatusk used this distraction to turn its head and rip the sword from her grip, Myrtenaster lands far away from Weiss, who is knocked back by the creature's tusks.
Weiss looks up just in time to see the Boarbatusk charge again, rolling out of the way just in time to avoid getting trampled and make it crash into a desk. Weiss rushes at her sword and slides to get it back in her hand.
"Weiss! Go for its belly! There's no armour underneath-" Ruby was giving her a suggestion to end the fight quicker but was ignored and she was berated for her effort.
"Stop telling me what to do!" Weiss shouted to Ruby, this hurt er a lot, Ruby just wanted to help her.
The Boarbatusk leaps into the air and rolls into a ball, spinning rapidly in the air and landing on the ground, consistently gaining speed until it launches itself at Weiss. It comes closer and closer, Weiss activates one of her glyphs and blocks the roll, leaping up into her black glyph symbol and turning it blue again so she can drive the blade of her rapier into the Boarbatusk's stomach. It squeals and falls silent while Weiss gasps in relief.
"Bravo! Bra-vo! It appears we are indeed in the presence of a true Huntress-in-training! I'm afraid that's all the time we have for today, be sure to cover the assigned readings and stay vigilant! Class dismissed!" Port announces.
Everyone looks at Weiss who was breathing heavily.
"Sheesh, what's with her?" Nora asks, this very question was being asked by multiple people, mainly team RWBY and JNPR.
Weiss storms of the class and onto the hallway, but Ruby was able to catch up to her, Jaune was also nearby as he wanted to help the first friend that he got after returning to Remnant.
"Weiss!" Ruby shouted to get her attention.
"What?!" Weiss shouted in anger.
"What's wrong with you? Why are you being-?" Ruby was trying to speak before she was interrupted by Weiss.
"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? You're supposed to be a leader,
and all you've been so far is a nuisance!" Weiss said once again in anger.
"What did I do?" Ruby asked.
"That's just it! You've done nothing to earn your position! Back in the forest, you acted like a child, and you've only continued to do so!" Weiss stated.
"Weiss, where is this coming from? What happened to all the talk about 'working together'? I thought you believed in acting as a team," Ruby questioned her.
"Not a team led by you. I've studied and trained. And quite frankly, I deserve better! Ozpin made a mistake." Weiss says before she leaves again.
"Hey, Ruby. Are you alright?" Jaune asks her.
"Do you think she's right, that Ozpin made a mistake making me team leader?" Ruby asked.
"Ha-ha-ha!" Jaune laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" Ruby asked.
"Ruby, you have only been a team leader for less than a day, do you expect to be the best leader in a few hours, hell no! it takes time to be a leader, just as it takes time to be a good teammate, you have to give her some space, she believes that you are not fit to be a leader because you have yet to show such quality, and you were not giving a chance to prove yourself as a good leader, these things don't happen in a single day, just like training to be a huntsman and huntress does not happen in a single day," Jaune said.
"Thanks, Jaune. That helped," Ruby said.
"Come on, let's go, we still have the rest of the day to go through," Jaune said.
The two went to their next class which happens to be dust application, this was a class that Jaune was truly interested in, he was hoping to be able to use dust with some of the blueprints that Shuri input into N'lix.
When Weiss arrived for Dust studies, she was in a better mood, Jaune was wondering if she talked to someone that was able to help her out with her issue about Ruby being the team leader.
