Iron Man Father and Son

This story takes place in an Alternate universe where Tony Stark had a kid who followed along with his adventures from the time that he graduated from M.I.T at 18. This story takes place post Endgame however the timeline got restored due to Tony's son making some changes.

Chapter 2: Peter comes to stay

It had been a few days since the plans for Peter to come and stay with the Starks in the Avenger's tower. Peter would be coming on a Saturday morning when his Aunt May would be leaving for her trip. Tony had originally said that he would help her get to the airport and pick up Peter however his plans had changed when he and Pepper had to go to a conference that weekend so he caught Tyler as he was coming in from his morning run, he had on his running foot which was a carbon fibre blade that he had glued the sole of his left running shoe to which was attached to a metal tube that connected to his socket that he wore with it, as good as the foot him and his dad had built for him it wasn't very good for running outside of his Iron Man suits. On his good foot, he had on a new balance running shoe. He also had on a pair of black Under Armour shorts with a pair of under Armour underwear on, he usually liked to wear boxers except when he worked out or went for a run, for his t-shirt he had on an M.I.T tank top that had a beaver on it which was the mascot for the school sports teams. Tony then said "oh good thing I caught you Pepper, and I have a conference to go to this weekend. Can you get underoos and his smoking hot aunt?"

Tyler replied, "um yeah I guess I can."

Just then Pepper came by and said, "so everything is all set to pick up Peter and take his Aunt May to the airport."

Tyler then said, "yeah dad just told me now what time do I need to be there?"

Pepper then said, "wait you only just found out now that you had to pick them up, I told Tony days ago."

Tony then said, "I've been busy."

Pepper rolled her eyes as she knew that most of the time in the last few days was spent with both Tyler and Peter and he could easily have said something then. She turned to Tyler and said "I honestly don't know what would happen to you guys if I wasn't around. Tyler you need to have Peter's Aunt May at the airport for 10."

Tyler nodded and asked J.A.R.V.I.S. as they had decided to make a new version of him because he and Tony missed him, plus they also just wanted to screw with everyone once they were used to F.R.I.D.A.Y. because they could, "what's the current change on my Tesla?" J.A.R.V.I.S. replied "80 percent recommend charge for the journey for optimum performance is 90 should I change it to that." Tyler replied, "yes also estimate my departure time from here." J.A.R.V.I.S replied, "estimated departure with current traffic between here and the Parker's apartment is 15 minutes. I have taken the liberty of preheating your shower for you."

Tyler replied "thanks J.A.R.V.I.S."

Pepper then said, "there's coffee in the kitchen I'll put some in a travel mug and put out some breakfast bars for you in the kitchen."

Tony and Pepper said goodbye as they were leaving with Happy soon and would see him on Monday morning.

After he showered and got dressed, he grabbed his wallet, key fob, and key card along with his coffee which Pepper had put out for him in one of his M.I.T. travel mugs (he liked to every now and then to pick things up from the M.I.T. campus store when he would make trips to Boston to meet with his business partner Jason who lived there with his family) and breakfast bars before heading down to the private garage. Once there J.A.R.V.I.S. had put in the information to his phone, and to his Tesla's onboard navigation as well as sent a message to Peter that he was on his way a robot arm also unplugged his Tesla model x from the charger in the garage.

Once he reached their apartment and parked in a visitor's spot, he sent a message to Peter as he also buzzed their apartment from the lobby so that they could let him in. He made his way up to Aunt May and Peter's apartment. Well, he was in the elevator a mom and her kid got in the elevator. The kid turned to the moon and said "hey mom I think that's one of the Iron Men in the elevator with us. Tyler smiled and looked at the Kid J.A.R.V.I.S. did a quick scan of them and showed him their names and birthdates on his glasses, which was something that the A.I. Program did anytime anyone was present it was something that Tony and Tyler were used to but anyone else who put on the glasses or an Iron Man suit had a hard time with the information overload at first, which was what lead to the failure of them being able to market it as google glass even in a simplified form.

The Mom said to the kid "now Tyler remember it's rude to stare at people."

Tyler smiled and laughed as the kid shared his name the Kid then said, "mom do you think if I asked him would Iron Man come to my birthday party."

Tyler looked at him and said "The Iron Men are kind of busy sometimes, so we don't really promise to come to something like that. However, if you want, I can give you a business card and I'll have my assistant check my schedule and see if it works or not." He pulled out his wallet and a business card from it and handed it to the mom who had a surprised look on her face as she took it from him. She looked at it as she walked out of the elevator the card only said on it, Tyler Stark, Internet and Computer Security Division Stark Industries and a phone number and an email address.

After they had left Tyler still had a couple of floors and asked J.A.R.V.I.S. "how many business cards do I have?" The A.I replied through his hearing aids which it did when he didn't have his phone out to show someone something "Young master Stark you have exactly Fifty business cards left would you like me to order some more?" Tyler replied, "yes thanks in advance." J.A.R.V.I.S. replied, "no problem young master Stark. Two hundred business cards have been ordered is there anything else I can do for you?" Tyler used to try and correct him to call him Tyler or something other than young master Stark, but he had found that with every A.I. program his dad had programmed it as the only thing he couldn't do without him giving him access to it, so he just gave up on it. Tyler replied, "no thanks J.A.R.V.I.S. that will be all for now."

Tyler got off that the floor that Peter and his aunt May lived on J.A.R.V.I.S. provided directions for him just as he did anytime, he knew where either Tony or Tyler were going to. It was something that he had been programmed to do so that they would never aper to be lost. Tyler found it extremely easy to use especially when he was at M.I.T. as a teenager and didn't want to aper like he shouldn't be there by looking lost all the time. He went to the door and knocked on it. Peter's Aunt May answered it, she had never met Tyler before and had only seen him in pictures and passing through the offices where she worked, Aunt May worked in the communications department of Stark industries but other than when Tony had come to the apartment to talk with Peter about the internship program, she had never really met any of the Starks. Tyler put out his hand and said, "I'm Tyler Stark my dad had to go to a conference this weekend with Pepper, so he asked me to pick up Peter and take you to the airport."

Aunt Mary then said, "it's nice to actually meet you I'm not sure if you know but I do work for Stark industries."

Tyler then said, "yes of course you work in our communications department." He hadn't known it before but thanks to some help from J.A.R.V.I.S. he had gotten the information as soon as he had seen her face. Tyler then said, "so I hope I haven't come too late my dad can be a bit disorganized sometimes and only asked me this morning to come."

Aunt Mary replied, "don't worry you're just on time, Peter is just in the shower, can I get you anything?"

Tyler replied, "I'm good I've got some coffee and I'll get some breakfast when I get back to the Stark tower."

Aunt May then said "it's funny I sometimes forget that the three of you live there. I guess it makes getting to work easy."

Tyler replied, "yeah it's so much easier than when we were in Malibu and had to drive to the office when we needed to go in."

Peter came out of his room and asked, "how often was that?"

Tyler replied "um not a lot really dad mostly liked to avoid going in unless he actually had to which was one of the reasons why he made Pepper the C.E.O. and pretty much has her run everything. Although she was already doing most of it anyway, plus she helps look after my dad and me."

Aunt May replied, "well from what I can tell from meeting you today and what I hear at work about you I'm sure both Mr. Stark and Ms. Pots are very proud of you."

Tyler replied, "yes they are."

Peter then said "it's really neat to work with Tyler and Mr. Stark sometimes. I've learned a lot from them."

Tyler then said "that's great to hear. Now I think we should get going, does anyone need any help?"

Aunt May then said, "no I'm good with my luggage but I have been having a problem with my computer and I keep forgetting to get it looked at."

Peter then said, "Aunt May."

Tyler then said "don't worry about it I'll take it and see what I can do about it. It's no trouble at all."

Aunt May showed him the desktop computer, Tyler unhooked it and carried it down with him. He put it in the back seat next to where Peter was sitting well they drove to the airport, Aunt May rode upfront with Tyler.

When they were on their way Tyler got a call from Pepper who wanted to check that he had picked them up. In the background, he heard his dad say something that he was glad that only he had heard. He figured that Pepper would deal with him. He just told them that his dad said hi and that Pepper wanted to check that everything was going well.

When they got to the airport, they went in with Aunt May, Tyler gave her his number and put hers in his phone and said that she could get in touch with him anytime. She thanked him for that. Tyler also gave her Pepper's number too and said, "if you want to speak with an adult call her."

After she had checked in and cleared security they left to head to Stark tower.

Once they pulled into Tyler's parking space a robotic arm plugged in his Tesla to change when he set it to. Peter commented, "wow do you actually do anything around here."

Tyler laughed as he replied, "yeah I know it is kind of crazy to have something like that." He then grabbed Aunt May's computer from the back seat and said, "ok two stops before we head up to the family floor, security and then my office."

Peter looked at him and asked, "why do we need to go to security?"

Tyler replied "we need to get you a new pass. From now on you are going to have access to all of the building, so basically if you want to come to the private lab you don't have to wait for me or my dad to bring you up and you also need access to the family floor too."

Peter nodded as he grabbed his bag and backpack and followed Tyler to the elevator. J.A.R.V.I.S immediately asked if Tyler wanted the family floor. Tyler replied, "we need to go to security first."

J.A.R.V.I.S. replied, "understood young Mister Stark."

Tyler rolled his eyes at that. Peter then said, "you really don't like that do you?"

Tyler replied "not really I wish I could change it but apparently, I don't have the authorization to do it. I've tried every password in the system even ones for Nick Fury and they didn't work."

Peter then said, "wait that sounds insane."

Tyler replied, "yeah I think it's just my dad getting back from me for the time I had J.A.R.V.I.S address him as Mrs. Stark."

Peter replied, "how long ago was that?"

Tyler replied, "about five years ago."

Peter then said, "wow so was he mad at you."

Tyler replied, "yeah a little bit but he doesn't usually stay mad at me long."

The elevator stopped at the main lobby level. Tyler and Peter stepped out of the elevator and walked over to the desk, there was a different person there than Peter usually saw. Peter then asked, "where's Jane?"

Tyler replied "she has weekends off, so security guards are at the desk then and overnight. He walked over and said, "Hey Andrew how are things today."

Andrew the security guard replied "not bad things are slow which is good. You don't usually come in this way Tyler."

Tyler replied, "no but I need to swing by the security office and get Peter here a new pass plus I need to drop something in my office."

Andrew nodded and said "ok we just need to sign him in. Ok, Peter just scan your card for me." Peter scanned his card as he usually did when he came in to do his internship program. Andrew looked at the information on the screen and said, "Peter Parker I see that you're in the internship program right now."

Peter nodded and said, "yeah but I'm going to be staying here for a few weeks well my aunt is out of town."

Tyler added, "which is why I need to update his security clearance."

Andrew nodded and said "I see everything is in order with the order from both Ms. Pots and Mr. Stark. I just need you to scan your card to clear him." Tyler did so and the main door unlocked as another security guard came in, Andrew said "James will take you to the security office."

Tyler and Peter went with him. Once in the office, Peter was asked to hand over his pass. It was a green one much like his aunt's. He was then given a new one that was Green and Pink, Tyler explained that green was for general access whereas green and pink were access to the whole building. Tyler then said when they left the security office for his office that a pink pass was for access to the family floor and the Avenger's floors too. Peter nodded as they went into Tyler's office, his assistant wasn't there but he figured that he had the day off, Peter had only met him once or twice when he had gone to Tyler's office as most of the time, he saw him in the lab. Tyler left Aunt May's computer in his office and said he'd look at it on Monday.

Tyler and Peter then took the elevator up to the main family floor. Tyler showed him to a guest room that was across the hall from his. After that, they went to the kitchen where Tyler said, "do you want anything for breakfast?"

Peter then said, "yeah sure what do you guys have."

Tyler opened the fridge and said, "we have eggs, some ground sausage and peppers." He then said, "do you feel like omelets or scrambled eggs, or we can do something else."

Peter replied, "I'm not really big on omelets but all of that in scrambled eggs sounds good."

Tyler replied, "perfect sounds good to me too."

Peter then said "I'm glad you suggested that we have breakfast as I was thinking that I was getting hungry. Ever since I got bitten by the spider my metabolism has been pretty crazy."

Tyler replied, "yeah mine has always been too, I never really put on much fat and I'm mostly muscle so I'm always looking for food too."

Peter then said, "that's cool and explains why I see you with snacks a lot."

Tyler replied as he started cooking the food "yeah pretty much I tend to munch on stuff I try to have healthy snacks like fruit and nuts though."

Peter replied, "yeah I try to too, but I know sometimes when I'm on patrol I tend to grab things that aren't though."

Tyler replied "I have no idea how you do that sometimes. I've watched some of the footage that your suit A.I. sends in and it's pretty crazy."

Peter then said "wait you watch that? Was it you who put the training wheels program in it?"

Tyler replied, "dad made me do it that's one of the reasons it was easy to hack into because I thought it wasn't fair to limit you."

Pert then said, "wait so you knew that Ned and I would hack into it?"

Tyler replied, "not exactly but I left it open to you being able to do, if I had really wanted to block you, I would have."

Peter then said, "can I ask you something about the suit?"

Tyler replied, "yeah sure I'll answer it if I can."

Peer then asked, "what does kill mode do?"

Tyler replied, "It's something we have in the iron man suits it creates an electrical disgorge although we have never used it or tested it so I'm not exactly sure what it would do to someone."

Tyler had finished making them breakfast and asked Peter if he wanted coffee or juice. Peter said he was fine with Juice and helped himself to some orange juice in the fridge. Tyler grabbed another cup of coffee. Perter then said, "how much coffee do you drink in a day?"

Tyler riled "Um sometimes too much I try to keep it to somewhere between two and three in a day at most. One time when Pepper was away my dad and I stayed awake for most of the time drinking coffee working on things and ordering pizza. Pepper came home to us on almost no sleep and plies of pizza boxes all over the house along with every coffee cup in the house dirty. After that, she pretty much never leaves us alone for longer than 72 hours."

Peter then said "wow that sounds pretty crazy. So, is that the craziest thing you've ever done?"

Tyler replied, "yeah probably other than building a particle accelerator in the lab and garage to make a new element."

Peter then said "wow ok that's definitely crazy. Did it work?"

Tyler replied "yeah we were able to produce two pieces of a medal that my dad wanted to call badassem but unfortunately you can't trademark a metal name. We needed a metal to replacer palladium and somehow grandpa stark knew what that was and hid the atom for it in the original stark expo."

Peter replied, "wow that's cool I actually remember at the last stark expo you and your dad saving people when the other robots attacked."

Tyler then said, "really were you there or did you see it on tv?"

Peter replied, "I was there and one of you saved me."

Tyler then said, "oh wow that's crazy." Tyler then said out loud to J.A.R.V.I.S "hey J.A.R.V.I.S can you tell me which one of us saved Peter and his Uncle Ben at the stark expo?"

J.A.R.V.I.S replied, "accessing the video records from that night and compiling them will take some time."

Tyler replied "thanks J.A.R.V.I.S."

A few moments later J.A.R.V.I.S. altered Tyler that he had found the images and was able to play them. Tyler pulled out his phone and the images came up on his phone. First J.A.R.V.I.S. played the footage from the security cameras that showed a young boy with an iron man mask on almost being killed by one of the rogue robots before one of the iron man suits landed beside him the voice from it was unmistakably Tony's. Next J.A.R.V.I.S. showed a video taken from Tony's iron man suit.

Tyler then said, "looks like my dad saved your life."

Peter replied, "wow that's kind of cool to see."

Tyler replied, "yeah it is kind of cool when J.A.R.V.I.S. can pull up archived footage of things."

After Breakfast Tyler started to clean things up Peter stepped in to help a little bit. Well, they were cleaning up Tyler's phone rang he looked at it and it was a video call from his business partner Jason. Tyler put it on video and pulled the image up so that it was a hologram. Jason then said, "oh cool I'm a hologram right now."

Tyler laughed and said, "yeah you are so how are things with you."

Jason then said "not bad same old. I wanted to talk to you about some of the applicants that we have for the new positions that we are creating."

Tyler replied "yeah I was thinking of it too. Do you want to meet up in Boston?"

Just then Peter asked Tyler where something went in the kitchen as he was putting away the dishes. Jason asked, "who's the kid?"

Tyler replied, "he's my dad's intern his name is Peter and he's staying with us for a bit well his Aunt is out of town."

Jason then asked, "that's cool how old is he?"

Tyler then turned to Peter and asked, "Hey Pete how old are you again?"

Peter replied, "I'm 15 but I'll be 16 in August."

Jason replied, "that's cool my oldest is 14 now and is in his third term at M.I.T. now."

Tyler replied, "wow I remember when we started there he was born and your girlfriend at the time would come by on weekends to your parent's house or you would go to hers."

Jason replied, "yeah I remember having you spend the weekend with us sometimes too."

Peter then replied, "wow he must be really smart."

Jason replied "yeah he is. If he weren't at M.I.T. or some other school, I don't know what I would do with him."

Tyler replied, "Does Dr. Adams have him in his neurology study?"

Jason replied, "yeah oh and he was asking about you and if you plan on coming to Boston anytime so he can do some follow-up stuff with you."

Tyler replied, "maybe I can squeeze him in this weekend too and maybe we can give Pete her a tour of our old stomping grounds." He then turned to Peter and said, "do you feel like a quick trip to Boston?"

Peter then said "um yeah, I guess. Wow's this Dr, Adamas that you mentioned?"

Tyler then told him that he was a guy he met when he did some English classes at Harvard because you could take cross courses with Harvard and M.I.T. because they were really close together and he was doing his thesis in neurology and looking at if people who are smart than average have different brains, then regular people do. Tyler then said "I remember when he was telling me about it, I was about 16 at the time and he was about 10 years older than me he said that he would want me to take an IQ test as he wanted to compare what my number was to others. I told him it was fine, but IO didn't want to know the number."

Peter then said, "that's interesting is there any reason why you don't want to know it?"

Tyler then said "the same reason why my dad doesn't want to It's just a number that people label you with and judge you based on it. Genius isn't a competition." Tyler then added "it's just like how at M.I.T. unlike how they say in movies and tv there are no Valedictorians or Latin honours for people who graduate. Academics isn't a competition and shouldn't be one."

Peter then said, "that's interesting."

Jason then said, "I need to go right now so I'll see you guys later today?"

Tyler replied, "yeah I'll book a hotel and send you the information."

Jason replied, "that's good I'll see if Conor wants to join us and maybe he can let us into our old dorm building as he lives there during the week."

Tyler then said, "yeah that would be cool." Tyler then said, "see you soon Jason." He then turned to Peter and said, "ok so let's get packed for the night."

Tyler went to his room to pack some stuff up as did Peter. Peter called over to him "should I bring my spider suit?"

Tyler replied, "um maybe just in case, I'm going to bring a nanobot suit with me just in case too." Tyler and his Dad had developed Iron Man suits that could go onto them with the help of nanobot technology from the arc reactor they wore in the center of the suit.

Well, they were packing Tyler had J.A.R.V.I.S. book them a hotel room and charge his credit card. Once they were packed up, they went down to the garage and headed out to Boston.
