three days later*

"I don't want you there anymore" Sean announced out of the blue, with a concerned expression upon his face. "You boys should be here where its safe." Walter was thrown, while he knew his mother was worried about his well-being (she'd made it clear Cabe was no longer welcome on her property dispite Tim explaining that it was Walter's company- resulting in Tim's expulsion too) Sean rarely showed any indication he was concerned about Walter.

Sean lowered his voice as he continued "That Timothy character told me before he left that you have a stalker- a stalker Walter! That isn't normal!" It took Walter longer than he cared to admit that Sean was talking about Collins. "I wouldn't be happy here father" Walter started "and I doubt you'd be happy with me here"

There! An expression Walter immediately recognised upon his father's face, a common expression from Walters childhood- anger. "You'd be safe! Alive! Do you have any idea how your mother and me have been feeling these past few days?? What's been going through our heads?! You hold a gun in fear of your own life for gods sake! No! Your mother and I have decided- you are moving here and working on the farm. End of discussion!"

Walter had problems respecting authority but standing up to his father was something he always struggled with. Not for the first time he desperately wished for his sister to be there to help guide him through the minefield that was his relationship with his parents. "I-I n-need t-to think" he finally stuttered as he walked away.

He needed Paige.

"Whoah you aren't gunna shoot me are you big man!" Thomas laughed, holding his arms up in mock surrender. For the first time he could remember doing in Thomas' presence Walter chuckled. "Nah not just yet" he joked before frowning and flopping to the grass next to Thomas.

"Whats eating you brainiac?" Thomas asked noisily. Walter knew Thomas was just after gossip that he could possibly use for ammunition later, but at that moment he didn't care. Paige appeared to have gone back to the hotel with Tim and he needed someone to talk to.

"My Father wants me to return to the farm. I'm struggling to say no" Walter admitted. "you want to return?" Thomas asked confused "you're sick of the LA high life? The sun, sand and beautiful ladies?" He laughed "or do you miss the rain and the mud?" Walter shook his head "No. If anything returning is the last thing I want-and I know it's the last thing you want. But I've always had trouble saying no to my father and don't want to worry my mother. This feeling of guilt is new to me and it seems to be all that I'm feeling recently" Thomas snickered "Maybe you should stop banging your secretary then" he replied jokingly as he shoulder bumped Walter. "I'm-I'm-I'm me and Paige haven't and-and she's- she's not" Walter sputtered as Thomas leaned back on the grass laughing.

Walter frowned as he stood up. Opening up to Thomas was clearly a mistake. But as Walter went to walk away Thomas stood up and for the first time Thomas shocked Walter with something that was (in Walter's opinion) a brilliant idea "Why don't you bring him on a job? Show him it's not as bad as they're thinking."

Walter had to admit the idea had merit.

A/N So what kind of job do you think Walter is going to take him on? Or do you think Sean will say no? Do you think Walter and Sly will end up living in Ireland? Let me know what you think :)
