Aureole sign: Hydra (I know Eclipsa is a Demon and she still is in this fic , it's possible, I know aureole signs are determined by your birthday , how it happened Is in a later chapter)

Nova pov

It's been a while since the Globgor incident , I'm now 13 , a lot has changed , I trained with mom all the time ,turns out being Solaria's child gives you a lot of talent with a sword, and speaking of swords

Me and mom were currently sparring or should I call it fighting , since we're using ACTUAL swords , well a wand sword and a rapier sword (second one is an actual sword)

I jump over a slash from mother and do a slash of my own

Mom blocks it with her sword and I recoil from it

"Is it possible that the great Solaria is getting rusty?" I asked mockingly

"Getting overconfident are we?" Said Solaria in enjoyment

I then dashed at her while parrying an attack from her and passed by her

Then I pointed my sword at her neck while her slash at me was too far away now

"My win!" I say proudly

"Ugh , you're too agile for me to hit normally" said Solaria grumbling at her loss "and short too"

"Hey!" I say in dissatisfaction

"Oh come on! You're shorter than Eclipsa! And she's pretty short herself!" Said Solaria frowning

"It's only 5 centimeters!" I say in annoyance

"Still the shortest in the family" said Eclipsa happily as she entered the room

"Ugh , can we at least get some snookers? I'm hungry" I said stretching

"Yeah I could go for some snookers" said Solaria happily

"Snookers!" Said Eclipsa excitedly

"Absolutely not!" Said the only sane person in the room

Jushtin the uncalculated!

"You three have been eating way too many snookers!" Said Jushtin firmly "this has to stop!

"Boo!" Said Eclipsa

"Oh come on" said Solaria in annoyance

"You're supposed to be clumsy and flamboyant! Not a responsible adult" I say rolling my eyes

"Well someone has to be!" Said Jushtin firmly "you three eat enough snookers to feed a decent village! You'll get sick!"

"Fine fine , we'll eat less snookers" said Solaria frowning "But speaking of villages , Nova you're coming with me to a fortress tomorrow, you have the skill ,so now you're ready to get the fighting experience"

"Ok?" I say feeling unprepared

"Great! See you tomorrow!" Said Solaria happily as she took off "I know you'll do greeeaaaat!"

"I don't think I'm ready for this" I say nervously

"Well , the only way to find out is to do it" said Jushtin encouragingly "so press on!"

"When did you become this mature?" Asked Eclipsa raising a brow

"When your mother labeled Snookers as an essential resource" said Jushtin frowning

Me and Eclipsa looked at each other for a second before shrugging

Me and mom took a carriage to the "fortress"

"Mom , I don't think I can do this" I say nervously

"It's fine ,don't worry , you'll be able to kill your first monster without a problem" said Solaria excitedly

"Kill is a big word" I say nervously "maybe just capture or_"

"Nope , you're getting rid of a monster for good" said Solaria happily

"Yeah" I say glumly "for good , at least we didn't bring Mina or any other Solarian warrior"

"Yeah , that'd just take away the point" said Solaria shrugging

I wasn't the most excited for this

In the "fortress" there were knights and warriors everywhere

Some fighting , some hanging out and some doing very random things

All in all , watching them was an interesting experience

That's until dear mother decided to gather everyone in one place to introduce me

"Everyone! This is my son Nova, he's here to finish becoming a knight by killing a monster" said Solaria excitedly

The knights and warriors cheered before seeing...me

"Ehhhh... isn't he a bit..small?" Asked one of the knights

Ok , I know I'm small , even a bit smaller than Eclipsa who's pretty small herself , and I'm pretty thin yeah

But you don't have to say it out loud damn it

"Well if you think that's the case" mom said excitedly "Who wants to duel my son!"

Needless to say a lot of people volunteered to be my opponent

"Hah! What're you gonna do with that tooth pick" Said my opponent mockingly "clean some monster teeth"

Safe to say, the duel was pretty fast, yeah , not fair i know , I was trained by Solaria herself for years and beat her ,although barely

"Not a good insult" I say before charging at him

He tried to attack , I parried and used the force of the parry to spin quickly before stopping my rapier right before it could cut of his head directly next to his neck

He dropped his sword signaling that he gives up

Safe to say ,I earned everyone's approval after that , though , a lot of them still wanted to fight me and after I fought most of them

"Now that every_" mom said but was cut off by the sound of a horn

"A raid! A monster raid!" Yelled someone from a watchtower

"Perfect timing" said mom excitedly "Nova , it's time for you to experience a real battlefield , and kill your first monster"

"Yeah" i say unenthusiastically "kill a monster"

"Let's go!" Said Mom as she ran towards the walls

And I followed her , then she and the soldiers left the fortress to kill the monsters

Mom didn't want to just protect the fort , she also wanted to exterminate all the monsters

And I followed her onto the battlefield , then I saw the corpses , the blood , I got scared

Then I encountered a monster

I easily knocked it down , I just need to kill him

Just kill...him...a monster

I hesitated , and another monster attacked me

I was knocked down and my sword was out of my hand

I was going to die again

Then someone took the hit for me

My eyes widen as I see who it is , it was the first person to challenge me out of the knights ,

His blood fell on my face , I was paralyzed , I heard him scream

He was going to die because of me

Then I felt an unknown power course through me , I saw white everywhere

Then I passed out

Solaria pov

I heard a mewman scream , I know where it came from , it came from Nova's direction

Don't let it be

"No no no no" I say as I run towards the scream

I saw Nova being shielded from the monsters by a knight

I was about to jump there but then

A white light erupted from Nova and what I saw

"That form" I say in confusion

Nova was in the butterfly form or an odd version of it , the wings were different from what it's supposed to be (they're pointy dragonfly wings not a butterfly's , because a butterfly feels weird for him) It was definitely that form, but he never even touched the wand , let alone dip down , the one thing that he knew that was magic was the whispering spell

So why was he in that form?!

The transformed Nova , with eyes so black they looked like the abyss , odd wings that were black on the outer part and grey on the inside

He extended his hand towards his sword and it flew towards him

Then the sword started glowing white , all turned to the direction of the light

Nova swung the sword and an arch of magic was fired from it

The arch sliced through everything it hit

Seeing this , the monsters ran away

And Nova collapsed

3rd person pov

Nova woke up on a bed in a room he couldn't recognize

"What , what happened?" Asked Nova before the remembering "the knight!"

"You're awake" said Solaria Glumly

"What happened to the knight who saved me?" Nova asked in concern

All Solaria gave him was a sad frown

"It's my fault" Nova said as tears spilled from his eyes

"No, he w_" said Solaria before Nova cut her off

"Don't try to make me feel better" yelled Nova sadly

"The monster who killed him was captured and is going to be executed in front of everyone" said Solaria calmly "you c_"

"I'll do it" said Nova

"What?" Asked Solaria

"I'll be the executioner" said Nova frowning

"What?! No! You don't have to kill if you're not rea_" said Solaria but Nova cut her off

"No , I have to do it , it's not vengeance or anything like that , I'm responsible for this problem, someone had to pay for my mistakes , I have to be the one to do it" said Nova frowning

Solaria nodded

And Nova went to the execution grounds

Solaria announced that Nova will be the executioner

And they brought the monster

Nova held his sword tightly and it started glowing , Nova saw this and took a guess about what it was , magic

The monster in front of him looked down at the ground

'is it regret or is he accepting his fate?" Nova thought to himself 'doesn't matter , I can't back out now'

"I'm sorry" whispered Nova before decapitating the monster in one slash

Everyone cheered at the death of the monster

But Nova just ran away to an empty

He puked into an empty bucket

And sat with his back to the wall

Solaria joined him

"You ok?" Asked Solaria with concern

"Yeah" said Nova glumly

"So , what are you gonna do now?" Asked Solaria "you can choose to be a knight or maybe help the kingdom the same way as your uncle , with politics and stuff like that you know, I think you should go for po_"

"I'll do both" said Nova curling into a ball "I want to help mewni , but I don't want to go around killing monsters everywhere , not all monsters are bad , I probably sound stupid to you ,but I will never go attack a monster just because they're a monster, though I'll protect mewni even if it means I'll have to kill again, I don't people to die and if I don't do this , mewmans will die , I don't want either side to die but..but_"

"I don't agree with everything you just said , yes some of what you said was stupid to me" said Solaria hugging her son "but no matter how stupid it is , I'm proud of you Nova"

"Thanks mom" said Nova crying
