Chat was stunned by the information the teen before him was saying. Marc -Hugo- knew about things that only his mother would know, occurrences that no one else would have knowledge of: like the time when Adrien threw three whole eggs into the cake mix and never said anything, meaning that the sponge was crunchy in parts. He mentioned how the blonde had chewed the handbag strap of his mother's favourite purse when he was teething along with a story about the time his mother had walked in on him putting lipstick in his hair: that was something his father had most definitely not been made aware of.

The last bit of information was something which Adrien had buried deep. The night before his mother's disappearance, the words she had spoken to him:

"I love you my kitten, no matter what happens, know that I will always be thinking of you… and please remember to always wear clean underwear."

Adrien had to wonder if she already knew what was going to happen, as the comment about the underwear was something which had never been discussed before… 'and 'kitten'… did she know who I would end up being?'

The blonde hero shook his head as he wrapped his head around the possibility that Hugo was in fact his son. "Wh-why now… why n-not, sooner?"

Chat chanced a glance to Ladybug, who had started to dangle her legs where she perched on the edge of a beam. The heroine was clearly in deep thought as she stared out over the city, and Chat had to wonder why the lad before him had gone to her first. Hugo brought Chat's attention back to him by clearing his throat, and the black clad hero noticed Hugo's knowing smirk before his cheeks flushed when he realised he had been caught. The dark haired teen offered an answer to the blonde, awkwardly rubbing at the back of his neck.

"Because I was told to wait until Ma-Maman, Ladybug, had only you." His head shook slightly, "I just, came back a little earlier than-" he gulped, "-I was meant to."

Chat spluttered incoherently. The revelation that Marc was actually his son, Hugo, from the future had been a shock and a half, but the fact that Ladybug was his mother had the blonde wanting to jump for joy; there was this thing about the lad's grandparents however...

"Maman," Marc called over to Ladybug, "I've uh, told him."

Chat watched with a mixture of excitement and anticipation as his lady made her way back to them. Here he was, looking at the mother of his future child… and he still had no idea who the hell she was. Well, he knew who she was, she was a beautiful person, inside and out. A person who he had declared his love to the instant she had defied Hawkmoth and vowed to protect Paris. The teen who had exceeded her own expectations after that first battle, to become the courageous and strong leader that she was now. Chat knew that whoever was hidden beneath the mask was the person he would continue to love for the rest of his days, even when he was trying to move on. This new information however, told him that he was not required to do that, because he was destined to be with her: Hugo was living proof of that.

Chat almost could not contain his glee.

Ladybug's big blue eyes looked into Chat's green for reassurance, "thoughts?"

The black clad hero shook his head quickly in disbelief at what he was saying and swallowed. "I believe him."

Ladybug smiled softly up at him, "I do too, Marc-I mean, Hugo?" She turned to their future son, "I don't even know where you live, do you, live in this time?"

The teen smiled widely, "I most certainly do," he gestured towards Chat, "my papa gave me keys to a place that wasn't used in this time."

Ladybug blushed, "this is so strange." A nervous chuckle escaped her as she glanced to the future father of her child, "so… what now?"

"Su-Han said that once I had contacted you, we were to find his past-self to bring him up to speed."

The heroes nodded, Ladybug tapped her chin in thought, "he didn't give me a way to contact him, he just said that he would be watching."

Chat remembered that he had left Kagami covering for him, "uh, do you mind if I just go and sort something out in my civilian life?" He winced apologetically, "it's just, I asked someone to cover for me an-"

"Of course Kitty," the red and black heroine smiled understandingly, "do what you need to and send me a message when everything's sorted."

Hugo's eyebrows furrowed, "but you don't know who each other is yet… sh-shouldn't you like-"

Ladybug and Chat both placed their hand on either of the teen's shoulders and shared a coy smile before Chat gestured for Ladybug to take the lead.

"We can do that later, I think it's more important for Chat to sort things out so he doesn't raise suspicion in his civilian life and we can meet him shortly."

Hugo did not look convinced as he searched between his parents' younger selves. "But you all told me to make sure you revealed yourselves. Something about getting things over and done with as soon as possible."

Chat smiled understandingly, "believe me Hugo, I want to know who your mother is more than anything-"

The dark haired heroine chuckled as Hugo rolled his eyes good naturedly, "yeah you've told me more then a few times papa!"

"-but, there are things I need to address first before your mother-"

"Maman-"

"-and I can go forward."

Their future son chuckled as the heroes smiled fondly at each other, "I always wanted to know what you guys were like growing up, it's strange to see that you're just as in tune now as you were-will be-are?"

Ladybug grinned, "it's confusing but we know what you mean."

Hugo wrapped an arm around each hero and squeezed them tightly, his voice was muffled due to his face being burrowed between them. "I'm so glad I was the one you asked to do this."

Chat leaned away slightly to look at Hugo with an excited toothy grin, "wait, we have more kids?"

Ladybug laughed, "if I have my way, we've got at least three-"

"And a hamster!" Hugo smiled at them both, "I swear you guys are obsessed with them, and it's not like you don't already have two hamster sized beings to keep you company. Gabrielle-"

A white ovoid opened next to where they were standing and the familiar head of Bunnix popped out. She gave him a friendly but chastising glare.

"Not. Another. Word." She raised her eyebrows at him as Hugo curled in on himself sheepishly, "I let it go about you coming back for Nathaniel but I'm drawing the line at what you're doing now." With those words spoken, the blue and white heroine disappeared once more, and both of the Parisian heroes gave their future child a levelling look.

Ladybug cocked a brow disapprovingly, "I'm guessing you've had the talk about saying too much."

Hugo deflated, "yes Maman."

"So you know that anything else regarding the future is not to be shared unless it's on a need to know basis."

"Yes Maman."

So... Thoughts?

They still have not revealed, but Chat has something really important that cannot wait any longer... I wonder what that could be? And why did he need to come back for Nathaniel?
