The second chapter is here. Enjoy.
The little exceed lost track of time and had stayed at the frog pond for hours.
Frosch picked up a frog. "Fro will call you Froggy,"
Frosch named one after the other: "You'll be Hoppy! You'll be Spots! Fro will name you Lily! And you're going to be Jumpy!"
"It's leading me this way!" Rogue followed the direction of the signal.
"It's coming from the frog pond!" Sting exclaimed. "Why didn't we check there earlier?"
"Because the poles needed to die," answered the Shadow Dragon Slayer.
"That doesn't make any sense but okay..."
"Oh no," Frosch pouted sadly, but adorably. She held a grumpy-looking frog in her paws. "Fro doesn't know what to name this frog. Hmm... Maybe..."
"I told you I'd work! There's Frosch!"
"Rogue!" Frosch looked up.
"Found you Frosch!" Rogue panted, he was out of breath from running. He put down the metal detector.
"Fro was playing with the frogs! They're my friends now!"
"It's good to know you've made more friends,"
Frosch climbed onto Rogue's shoulder. "Want to know what Fro named her friends?"
"Sure,"
Frosch pointed to each one as she introduced them. "That one is Froggy, that's Hoppy, that's Lily, that's Spots, that's Jumpy, and that's..."
""I'm here too...!" Sting called from a distance. Rogue had run so fast Sting couldn't catch up. The White Dragon Slayer complained, "Can't you run a little slower? My feet hurt so much it feels like they fell off!"
"I thought I'd be good exercise for you," Rogue snickered.
"Are you calling me fat?"
The answer to the question was "yes".
But Rogue decided to ignore his question and ask Frosch, "Those are creative names. But did you name the sixth frog?"
Frosch tipped her head. "The one that looks super-duper grumpy?"
"Yes,"
"Fro named it Rogue!"
Rogue was speechless. "..."
A moment of awkward silence passed.
Then Rogue broke the silence. "Are you calling me super-duper grumpy-looking?"
Sting burst out laughing uncontrollably. "Ha ha! The tables have turned!"
"Fro thinks so too,"
Hmm.
Would you rather have a grumpy-looking frog named after you by an innocent little exceed or run until you feel your feet are going to fall off only for your smug friend to call you fat?
Tell me in a review.
See you next time.
