Chapter 2

Rory sat in first class on the way to London figuring she could treat herself, this wasn't her on any normal occasion.

As she stared out the window all of her thoughts were on Logan and how he would react. Smiling for a brief second as she looked down at her non existent baby bump before her mind started thinking about what was going to happen.

Sleep would not come on that flight, making the hours tick by even slower that they already were

Touchdown finally, she got off the plane and headed to the airport for her bags before getting a taxi to her hotel. She washed up to remove some of the dirt from the flight before heading out for some food.

"Enough delaying its time to call Logan" she quietly said to herself

Picking up the phone she dialled his number. He picked up almost immediately which surprised her luckily she was sitting down!

"Hello Ace"

"Umm...Hey Logan" the words she needed to say weren't coming out so instead she took a deep breath to calm her thoughts

"Ace are you okay you called me" a worried tone could be detected in his voice

"Yeah... I think so listen I'm in London for a few days and I think we need to talk can you meet me for lunch?"

"Yes I can meet you for lunch where do you want to go though?"

"Winter garden sound good? Say 1pm? I will meet you there"

"Yes that sounds good 1pm is great I am already looking forward to it bye Ace"

"Bye Logan" she said before the phone went dead.

The next few hours flew by before it was time to get ready and go meet Logan

Walking in the door she spotted Logan already at a table, he had a drink in his hand she noticed as she walked over.

"Afternoon" smiling at the fact she had made in jump

"Hello Ace" damn that voice and those looks and stupid hormones I nearly melted to the floor in that moment.

"How have you been since...?" Her voice trailed off as she lost her courage

"I've been good though I have been better"

Yes! She quietly thought to herself as she spotted no wedding ring

"In case you are wandering I haven't married Odette yet we haven't even got a date"

"Why haven't you got a date yet?" This was intriguing

"We both don't really want to do it but we are for the sake of our families "

"Logan" she realised they were getting off topic

"So Ace how have you been?"

"I've been better" the breath she didn't realise she was holding suddenly came out "Mom and Luke got married" this made a smile form on her face

"Well done to your Mom and Luke! You said you've been better what's the matter Ace"

"Logan what I'm about to say may take you a little time to process..."

"Rory!" His voice was serious now

"You are going to be a Daddy"

"Really" he was shocked by that as anyone would be "How did you find out when did you find out?"

"Same way my Mom did when she thought she may be pregnant a few years back I ate an apple I got a doctors appointment before my Moms wedding it's been confirmed then I flew out the day after" she paused for a second "So far only my Mom knows I'm pregnant even Luke doesn't know yet I wanted to talk to you before telling anyone else"

"Thank you Ace"

"For what?"

"For telling me so soon after you found out" he took my hands as a smile formed on his face"

"I thought it was right so..."

"So...?" Logan's response was mimicking her own

"So... what do you think, I know you have Odette and it's your decision wether you even want to be involved but I'm not going to stop you. I saw what happened to Luke with April and I'm not going to make the same mistake" she was rambling now

"Ace" Logan stopped her thoughts in their tracks "I'm going to be there every step off the way. I love you Ace I have since Yale I never fully moved on"

Rory was brought to tears by what he was saying. Logan just cupped her face in his hands and gently wiped them off.

"Ever since Odette and I got engaged I've been looking for a sign to break it off this is the sign I wanted thank you Ace"

"That's okay"

"Opps" Logan said glancing down at his watch "my lunch break is over I should be getting back now can I come and see you tonight and then we can talk about the details"

"Yes I will text you where I am staying"

"Okay thank you Ace see you tonight"

"See you tonight"

After leaving the restaurant Rory chose to walk back to her hotel even though Logan offered her a lift back. It took a good few hours as she took a detour to go and see the park. Fall was her favourite time of the year so it's always so pretty with the changing colours on the leaves.

When she finally walked into the hotel lobby she left Logan's name at the front desk and told them to send him up whenever he arrives. She also said to give him a room key, just in case.

"Better safe than sorry" she thought before finally making her way to her room.

She texted Logan the details of the Hotel she was staying at before settling down on the bed to call her mother.

Ring ring ring

"Mom..."

"Hey kid"

A smile crossed her face

"Is Luke there? Just double checking"

"Nope he is at the diner. So spill how did it go?"

"Really well he's going to come to my hotel tonight"

Lorelai interrupted "Oooo"

"Mom! We are going to discuss what we are going to do next but he took the news really well"

"Awww...It's good it went well kid I'm glad"

"Thanks Mom"

"So when are you going to tell other people? Luke, Grandma..."

"I'm not sure we will probably talk about that too"

"Kay...Any of those pesky pregnancy symptoms?"

"Not yet 'touchwood'" Rory smiled "I'm going to take a shower before he arrives Bye Mom"

"Bye kid"
