After picking up Spencer and speaking with him and the rest of the teens tonight made him think of her even more. Roman is a lot like her and not in a good way but in the self destructive way he still felt like her death was his fault.

As he thought about her and the time they spent together drinking his drink as he stared off the terrace deep in thought. This was just so wrong burying her but he would get to the bottom of it really soon he had make that call.

Flashback

There was a rapid knocking at the door. He sent all the staff away when he rushed to answer it."Hey what are you doing here? Where are the kids?" he asked.

She looked out of it "I didn't know who else to go to" she says. Soaking wet as he ushered her inside "they are fine Nikolas they are with Emy and her boyfriend in the city" she replied.

As he got her a blanket in front of the fire that's when he noticed it but he didn't say anything. Bringing her a drink as she stared off into the fire sitting next to her"Elena what happened what's going on" he asked as she laughed dryly, taking a sip of her drink" you know I would have done anything for that man.

But can't he lied to me and I should have seen it I was naive not too he almost killed our child because he was to fucking high to pay attention.

And the sad part is I still want to help him and I can't" she says with tears in her eyes, "did you speak to Sam or Drew Elle you can't do this by yourself"Nikolas says.

As she finished the drink passing him the cup to refill shaking her head as she shivered "did you not hear me properly I can't and I won't do that to them. Putting my problems in them Nikolas they have enough of their own shit going on with Drew's stalker breaking into their house and almost taking Maddy.

That would make me a selfish bitch and I'm not. It's why I came to you and before you say anything it's being handled and everything else for me.

I just needed to get away. He followed me to Emy's begging me to come back so that he could fix it but I don't believe him. I can't let him do this to me again. I'm a mother first before I was his whatever it doesn't even matter, " Elle said.

That's when he stopped and looked at her when she got up and picked up the whole bottle of vodka and drank it. "Elena tell me you didn't "he says pleadingly but she didn't even look at him which let him know that she did. "If you want gloat go ahead Nicky say it , say I told you so because I didn't pick you right"she says making him turn to her.

Seeing the hurt and the hollowness in her eyes as the tears slid down her face "I would never do that to you ever "Nikolas says, wiping her tears away. "Why would I and you know part of me knew but hoped he loved us more and he didn't so whatever" Elle says while downing the rest of the bottle.

As she shivered from the cold as he took the bottle from her"Clearly he did you said he followed you right so that has to count for something Elena come on" he says.

Shaking her head "he may have followed me Nikolas but if I go back he will tell me whatever I want to hear but it won't change he will just hide it better. And I can't do that to myself or my kids. It's not fair to us at all" she says with the tears coming down more when he hugged her as she cried into his chest.

All he could do was hold her "shush come with me let me get you in something dry and when's the last time you slept" he asked. And just looking at her he knew it was maybe a day or so "I'm fine Nikolas" Elena said. "Will you just humor me?" Nikolas says, helping her up by walking her upstairs.

Putting her in the guest bedroom next to his and a change of clothes and got her into bed begrudgingly. "Try and sleep" he said kissing her on top of her head then going to leave"Nikolas can you stay with me please" she says.

Grabbing his hand, stopping him, "I shouldn't" he replies when she gets up, pulling him closer. Then kissing him"please i need to feel something" Elle says as her tongue caressed his. Wrapping her arms around his neck "I won't take advantage of you" Nikolas replies he says pulling back.

"You're not and I know you want to," Elena says, using one hand to run down his chest. To his manhood as he breathed heavily watching her with his dark eyes. Before grabbing her face, kissing her hard, making her smile.

As he pulled his shirt off of her body then picked her up and laid her down. Kissing everywhere he could then stop tossing his shirt aside as used her feet. To push his pants down as he rushed entering her in one fast thrust making both of them gasp.

Nikolas tried to slow his pace as she gripped his back sucking on his earlobe"Mihi opus est ut citius placere Nikolas" she whispered in latin. Making him unravel as he began to slam into with brute force "ohhhh fuckkk Elle shiittt wait" he groaned.

Before he was on his back as she rode him fast chasing her end gripping his chest as his eyes rolled back. With him holding her waist tighter then sitting up capturing her lips then her neck. "OOOoooo shit Nikolas Yessss, Yess just like that ohhh fuck Immma bout to ahhh" she chanted.

As they climaxed together, clinging to each other while they tried to catch their breath. Running his hands through her hair that he clinched in his hand as he kissed her . They both knew but ignored it when he pulled her into his arms letting her rest on his chest until she fell asleep.

When he took a deep breath, closing his eyes with a sigh, what was he gonna do now. He needed to get through to Roman and fast or Elena's sacrifice would have been in vain; he owed her that much. Not just for her but for their family "Nikolas what happened with Spencer and the kids" Emily says breaking him from his thoughts.

Waving it off "Nothing much Emily just more Roman pushing every boundary and button people have. Don't worry about it I told Sam I would talk to him and I will he's hurt, angry and wants to. To punish himself for her choosing his life over hers" he replies, "she had unimaginable decisions to make.

I didn't know you guys were that close anymore. I knew the two of you got into an argument a few months ago. You never said why and you guys didn't speak until she was on her deathbed"she replies.

Making him sigh"I found out she did something and I called her on it is all. I would rather not talk about it because it wasn't my choice to make. Now I could make things right for Elena but I can do that for Roman would you help me" Nikolas said.

Hoping to get her attention off of Elle "Of course you don't even have to ask me I'm your wife" she says kissing then hugging him. He knew Helena was there he would deal with her really soon for everyone's sake.

Somewhere In Port Charles

"So who is this Les kid? "How do you know him?" Oscar asked, trying not to sound jealous. But it was hard not to because he would watch her light up when she asked Spencer about him. "He's just a friend. Him, Starr , Roman are old friends. His mom knew my dad.

Through Alexis and Julian oldest daughter Sam who i believe is Starr's godmother. But anyway we're all friends but I haven't seen them since like 2015. When Uncle Sonny got shot And my time with my dad got extended.

The last time I talked to him was after the accident that injured him and killed his mom. I don't push because he hates it. It's not a really big deal" she said with a shrug. Gritting his teeth as he nods his head"okay good because I saw them at the park the other day.

That girl smokes and not cigarettes either Joss real drugs and they were drinking. Why would you or Skylar want to hangout with people like their Losers" he said indignantly, making her groan. "Not that it's for you to know But i heard she smokes weed for anxiety Oscar Sam and Drew.

Knew that their mother would want them on pills so pot helps what part of they were in an accident. That you don't get that accident injured them and killed their mom. Curtis's apartment

Rubbing his head as he went over everything it was all hazy but he kept seeing her face vaguely. But he couldn't remember where he knew her from. It's what stopped him from starting anything with Jordan.

He felt like he was forgetting something major, something that meant everything. All he kept hearing was a voice in his head. He closed his eyes and sighed when the doorbell rang, breaking him from his thoughts looking from his board that he had worked on for the last 9 months.

Answering the door"Jordan it's not a good time I'm kinda in the middle of something "he says looking over at his board that sprawled across his wall Drew being the epicenter of it. "What's this " she asked as he gritted his teeth "it doesn't matter now isn't a good time like I said before'' he says curtly, "look I've put this off enough now you're gonna listen I saw a teenager who is the spitting image of you.

With long straight hair that he had down Curtis this could be what you're looking for Curtis. Are you even listening to me? "she said. As he spaced out "Now you're going to listen to me Curtis Byron Ashford I love you and we are going to get through this I promise you that because you are my husband.

And I am determined to see you beat this"she says. When he blinked covering his mouth as he moved from the door picking up the marker writing wife on the board with a question mark. All the while Jordan watched him suspiciously "you had a wife Curtis did you hear me what is this" she said again.

"I…...I… don't I dunno I keep hearing her voice in my head I have these vague memories of her. But I can never get a full look at her face and I know I'm forgetting something and it's important. I feel it in my heart just like I did nine months ago it hurt Jordan like Hell.

And for the life of me I can't figure it out but how can I have a wife a whole life that I can't for the life of me remember. I know her some how through Drew but for the life of me I don't know how. The thing is I feel her and something is wrong ughhh" Curtis said, banging his hand against his head.

When she grabbed him"Curtis stop you would know if you were married and maybe this kid like I was saying. A few days ago I had a run in with a boy who looks exactly like Curtis, spitting images about 6'2. With straight long hair with really light brown eyes I would say a hazel color.

But they weren't. It was just kind of hard to explain" Jordan says, "Now you want to add a child. I would never forget that Jordan at all. I need to dig deeper. There's something I'm missing and I'm gonna figure it out one way or another" he said.

Staring at the board"Okay let me help i'm the police Commissioner Curtis we can do this together" she pleads. "No Jordan we can't yeah you have a little pull but nothing that is gonna get me what I need. I'm gonna have to go into places that you as Police Commissioner shouldn't be.

Jordan we are just not meant to be and If I have a wife out there somewhere I need to find her. Were family but we can never be an item now you need to go" he said as she left when her phone rang. Calling her into work just as she left that's when Sam knocked on the door. "Hey you must be the infamous Curtis Ashford long time no see" she says, hugging him.

"Wow it's been a long time sorry I didn't make the funeral I didn't know you guys were stateside" Curtis says. She sighed "we weren't but my best friend passed away and she made Drew and I the guardian to her kids.

So we were in Florida then Drew was killed a few months ago" Sam says," I'm sorry Sam I should have been there" he said solemnly. Crossing her arms "why weren't you"she says, putting his hands in his pockets"chasing ghosts I guess I've been obsessed with trying to figure out how I'm missing a big chunk of my life"Curtis says.

When she got a good look at him that's when it hit her, the shock ran through her trying to keep her face neutral. How did she not see it but she needed to be sure "what do you mean" Sam asked with her mind racing the only person that could do that was Mona. She was gonna get to the bottom of this.

He sighed"a few months ago I had an episode I don't even know how to explain. It was like my heart exploded and I mean I hurt and I couldn't explain it. I have never felt pain like that; it was like part of me was taken from me. But I heard a voice telling me that they needed me then I started having these flashes of a woman I was married too.

The thing is I don't remember any of it at all. And I hear her voice clear as day but I can't make out her face anyway. It's kinda why I wanted to talk to you" he says, All the while she listened "why is that"she asked.

"Because I know I met this person through Drew somehow I just don't know and I wanted to know if you knew anything"he says as she nods her head. "I can look into it for you and I will help you anyway I can"Sam says, he shook his head" how are you holding up? I'm really sorry I should have been there. But you have me now anything you need" Curtis says" thank you Curtis I appreciate that and we are holding on.

Just take it one day at a time you know hey can I ask you something "she replies , "yeah go ahead shoot what's up" he answered sitting down on the sofa. "You said that you had some kind of episode when did that happen exactly do you remember" she questioned, "yes I do I remember like it just happened it was a few days straight. It was last August the 15th through the 19th why"Curtis responded trying to stay calm"I don't know I was just trying to understand what may have led to it,"Sam said.

She couldn't believe it those were the same days Elle was fighting for her life from their accident to her death. It wasn't a coincidence either he was definitely the triplets father and Drew would know but the fact that neither him or Curtis remember she knew something was up.

"I should go. I have a house full of kids but you should stop by and see them" she said, getting up and embracing him, "yeah definitely you guys will be seeing a lot of me"he said. As she left she stopped to breathe then pulled out her phone "Mona you need to call me back you and I need to talk I know what you did I need to know.

Why ,and did Elle know I know you Ramona this is right up your alley if you don't call me I will come to you love you bye"she said hanging up this was going to be bad. With a sigh then rushing off and she didn't need proof Roman was the proof that they were his kids.

I know i said it would be a two shot but it was too much to break it in two so one more chapter
