Jason:

Jason woke to the sound of screaming. He hastily pulled on his trousers and t-shirt and dashed into the corridor. He almost ran into Percy who was stumbling around drowsily in the dark muttering, "Annabeth? Where's Annabeth?"

Someone appeared next to them.

"It's OK Percy. I'm right here. Go back to bed. "

Annabeth, Hazel and Leo had been on nightshift and were fully awake (mostly) so went around telling the others to go back to bed. Frank was so tired, he turned into a pit bull puppy and fell asleep halfway back to his cabin. Hazel picked the small dog up, tickled him behind the ears and gently put him down on his bed.

Jason suddenly stiffened.

"Where's Reyna?" he asked nervously. There was no reply. He rushed to her cabin and knocked frantically on the door.

"Come in," was the shaky reply. Jason rushed to her side.

"I heard screaming. Are you Ok? What happened?" he asked hysterically.

"I'm fine, it was just a dream." She smiled weakly. Reyna put her hand to the side of her head and winced. She was still recovering from the head wound he remembered. He felt like it was his personal duty to throttle the person responsible for it. Jason pulled her, almost roughly, into an embrace and kissed Reyna's forehead. He looked up as he saw a figure appear at the door. Piper stood there with a sour expression, not one that suited a daughter of Aphrodite in the least. Jason felt a pang of guilt. He knew that Piper had a crush on him from the moment they'd met but he just didn't like her like that. Sure she was cute and all but in his mind, nothing could come close to Reyna's beauty. Not even Aphrodite (obviously he'd never say this out loud for fear of being brutally murdered by the goddess herself).

"Hi Piper," said Reyna coolly. Ever since the two met, Jason felt nervous when they were alone in a room together, let alone with him too.

"Hey Reyna, I heard you had a nightmare so I just wanted to check if you were Ok,"

Jason felt Reyna stiffen. He knew she felt embarrassed if people tried to look after her or ask if she was Ok- apart from him of course.

"I'm fine," she said coldly," It's late. You should be getting to bed,"

Piper's expression turned even more sour.

'If that was even possible,' thought Jason. She frowned at Reyna and stalked out of the room, slamming the door behind her.

He knelt on the floor and rested his head on Reyna's bed. She began stroke his head, which ceased when she fell asleep. Her hand fell limp at the side of the bed and Jason left quietly, so as not to wake her. As he got to the door, he heard Reyna behind him.

"Jason,"

"Yeah?"

"Will you stay with me?" (A bit Hunger Games-ish I know)

Jason turned around so fast he felt light-headed.

"What?" He breathed. Reyna smiled awkwardly,

"I said, will you stay with me?" Jason just managed to keep a wide smile under control. He'd kinda been looking for an opportunity to take their relationship to the next level but he could never find the right time. He didn't even know what to say but he was glad she'd said something anyway.

"Uh, sure," he walked back over to her and slipped into the bed next to her. He stretched out his arm and she rested her head on it. She put her hand on his chest and went to sleep.

As she was drifting off she murmured,

"Thanks Sparky,"

"No problem. Why did you want me to stay anyway?"

She looked up at him with transfixing eyes. Full of love for him but just a hint of pain beyond imagining.

"I need you, Sparky."she replied. And Jason could not argue that the feeling was mutual.

"Great, now I need to come up with a cute little nickname for you!" He grumbled. Reyna grinned.

"And what comes to mind?"

"I dunno, Rey-Rey?" he suggested as Reyna erupted into a giggling fit.

"Seriously! Is that the best you can think of," she laughed.

"Ok then. How about just 'Rey'?" He asked. Reyna paused for a moment.

"I could work with that," she smiled, curling up next to him.

"Right, so how do you like it on the ship 'just Rey'?" Jason inquired. But Reyna was fast asleep.
