Present (Snowflake ball)

To say that Jenny felt betrayed was an understatement. Not only did Vanessa get with the boy she knew Jenny liked, she also stole the letter said guy wrote to her only so they wouldn't contact each other. She knew it was wrong of her to embarrass her like that but she was so mad! She tried to stop them, to make it right but she was too late. She tried explaining it but HE didn't even want to hear her out! The hypocrite! She ran after him trying to apologize only to see him kiss Vanessa and get in a cab with her. She turned around fuming and heartbroken.

Past

The night she put on the show she tried to go after Vanessa but once she was outside Vanessa was already gone. After the guerilla fashion show Jenny left her house and stayed with Agnes (which was a bad idea). She waited for a call or even a text from Nate. She had contemplated of contacting him herself but she was scared he was mad because she left him standing.
So once she got home she knew she wouldn't expect Nate to be there, she knew they would've kicked him out, but still she couldn't help but feel disappointed when he wasn't there. She remembered making up with her family and them telling her she had mail, she was gonna check it out later, there wouldn't be anything important. Oh how wrong she was. That day everything was good, she made amends with her family and Vanessa and she couldn't be more happier. That was a lie, she could if a certain guy was there. She shook those thoughts away and tried to focus on her family and work.

The weeks after were dull, everything was a blur, she was at home, went to school, designed, just the usual things but Nate was always on her mind. She had so many questions. Did he ever think of her? Did he miss her? Why hadn't he tried contacting her? Did he lie? Did he not want her anymore? Was he mad that she left? Is that why he hasn't reached out? Maybe something bad happened?

A few days later all her questions were answered when she saw the post of Nate and Vanessa on Gossip Girl. She was mad, no fuming! She was mad at herself for not contacting him. She was mad at Nate for playing with her heart like that, he was a liar, he said he would be with her no matter what and here he is dating Vanessa.

But her anger towards Nate was nothing towards her anger towards Vanessa. Vanessa who was supposed to be her best friend. She listened to Jenny talk about how she missed Nate and how she hasn't heard anything from him, and she just sat there listening to her, comforting her while going after Nate behind her back! How dare she! How dare they?! Jenny felt like she couldn't breathe, she had to get out of the loft, she grabbed her jacket and went for a walk. She tried to clear her head but the picture of Nate and Vanessa kept popping up in her head.

She wasn't paying attention when all of the sudden she bumped into someone, before she had the chance to hit the floor 2 strong arms wrap around her and pull her up against the person she bumped into. She quietly opens her eyes and sees no other than Carter Baizen! Jenny didn't really know him that well, she met him once but apparently he had done some bad things.

"Woah there." He said with a laugh. This pulled her back to reality. She rubbed her head, it hurt more than she realized. How hard did they collapse?

"I am so so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going. Omg I feel so bad." She gushed out. He let out a laugh.

"Don't worry haha it's my fault, I wasn't looking out. Do I know you?" he questioned. Carter looked at her, he recognized her.

"Aren't you Jenny Humphrey?" Carter Baizen knew who she was?

"Uhm yeah, how did you know?"

"We met if I'm correct. And I've seen you on Gossip Girl." A little ah left her mouth.

"Yeah makes sense." She says. "So what brings you back to NY?"

"I have some business to attend." He replied, an okay left Jenny's mouth. Jenny wanted to leave. It wasn't that she felt uncomfortable, she just wanted to rest, this day did not go how she imagined.

"Well I'm sorry again, but I really should get going now. It was nice meeting you Carter." She started to back away a little.

"Wait? Would you like to get some coffee? To make up for almost breaking your skull." He said. She let out a small laugh.

"Maybe some other time. I really have to go now." She says and turns around and leaves.

"It was nice meeting you too Jenny Humphrey." She heard him yell, this made her smile. Jenny was already gone and that's when Carter realized he didn't even get her number.

Not even 2 seconds later everyone's phones started buzzing.

Spotted: Little J and Carter Baizen have a little encounter. Looks like they ran into each other, literally. What is so funny Little J? Already forgetting Golden boy? Maybe it's for the best because he already found another.

Jenny read the post and just sighed. 'I can't even talk to a boy and GG already thinks I am trying to move on with the first man I see.' She rubbed her head. How could a chest be so hard? But her mind immediately wandered to Nate when she ran into him.

"Woah sorry, omg Jenny." "oh sorry." They said after bumping into each other
"Did you do something with your hair?"
"Yeah, shorter, blonder I was bored."
"I like it, it looks good." "Thanks."
"Go ahead use the bathroom. I didn't mean to."
"Oh no no no I'm just gonna go, it's fine, I'll just pee at work."
"Okay." She heard him and then she was gone

She wanted to cry. How could he just play with her like that? She wasn't interested in anyone other than Nate and he just got back together with Vanessa. She was lost in her thoughts when her phone buzzed. It was a text from Blair.

Come to Chuck's right now J. -B.

To say Jenny was shocked was an understatement. Like sure Blair and her got along but what was so important that she needed to rush over there. She quickly put her hand out and got in the cab. She didn't realize that when she started walking she was already going that way. She told the driver the address and once she got there she went up.

"Blair?" She yelled out waiting by the elevator. She then heard Blair.

"Ah finally you're here!" Blair said while reaching Jenny.

"Finally? Blair I came over the moment I saw your text. What happened? What was so important that I had to rush over?"

"Come sit down with me Jenny." And Blair led her to the living room where she saw Chuck and Serena.

"Uhm what's going on?" She asked obviously confused.

"Jennifer take a seat." Chuck said while pointing to the sofa. Jenny just looked at them as if they grew an extra head but sat down anyway.

"Can you guys tell me what's wrong? Did I do something wrong?"

"No, I don't think so we just need to have a talk." Serena said while she sat down next to Jenny, Blair sat on her other side and Chuck across from them.

"Okay you guys are kind of scaring me right now. Please tell me what's wrong." The tree of them looked at each other and Chuck decided to speak up.

"So Jennifer what is going on with you and Baizen?" Jenny looked at him in disbelief and suddenly started laughing.

"You guys called me over because of Carter Baizen? I thought something terrible happened."

"Something did happen, you ran into Carter Baizen." Blair said. Ah Blair always the dramatic one.

"Jenny how do you know Carter? What did you guys talk about?" Serena asked.

"Guys I don't know what you are worried about. I don't know Carter except for the Debutante Ball. I just ran into him, like literally. We apologized, talked a little and I wanted to go on with my day until I had to rush over here. You have nothing to worry about."

"Little J you need to stay away from Carter Baizen. He is bad news."

"I don't know what is so bad about him, he was really nice."

"Jenny-" Serena started to speak up.

"Listen Serena, I don't plan to become friends with Carter Baizen or anything. We just talked and moved on, he is only here for business, I probably won't even see him anymore."

"Jennifer do you know anything about this business?" Chuck asked. "No I don't."
"Jennifer I know you don't like it when people tell you what to do, but we are looking out for you. Staying away from Carter Baizen is the best thing all of us can do. Do not get involved with him. He is not as sweet as he might seem." He looked her hard in the eyes.

"Yeah he wouldn't be the first." She said as she slowly started to get up. The three exchanged looks, they knew who she was talking about

"Guys thank you so much for the concern, but there really is nothing to worry about." She said as she heard the elevator door open Nate walked in looking surprised. "Thank you for the talk and I'll see you guys later." She said quickly and rushed into the elevator before Nate could say a single word. Nate turned around to look at her but the door closed, he only saw her with her head down.

"What's going on here?" He asked them.

"Nothing for you to worry about Nathaniel, we were just having a talk. Clearing some things up." Chuck answered. Serena cleared her throat. She and Blair stood up.

"Well Chuck thanks for the help. We will speak to each other later." The girls greeted Nate and left. Nate was on his way to Chuck's to talk about the recent Gossip Girl blast about Jenny and Carter. Nate stood there very confused and after a minute he finally started moving again.

"Did I miss something?" He asked flabbergasted.

"As said before Nathaniel nothing to worry about. Just a friendly talk, catching up." He said with a smirk while taking a sip of the scotch.

"Chuck Bass doesn't catch up and he definitely doesn't have 'friendly' talks. So tell me. What are you guys scheming this time?" He needed answers

"Don't worry that pretty head of yours too much, no plans were made. We only talked." Chuck said while standing up and making his way toward his room.

"About Jenny and Carter?" He asked, he didn't want to know the answer. Who knows what was said. Maybe they were together? Is that why she hadn't replied to his letter? He could see that Chuck stopped in his tracks for a second and he turned around.

"There is nothing to worry about Nathaniel when it comes down to Jennifer. She doesn't need your concern. Why don't you worry on your relationship instead?" He said with a casual tone but there was some snarkiness hidden under there. With that Chuck continued his way to his room and left Nate there. Nate sighed and went to the Chuck's bar to get a drink, he knew he wouldn't mind after a few drinks he left to clear his head. What in God's name had Jenny to do with that piece of shit Baizen?

A week passed when Carter ran into Jenny again.

"We meet again." He said with a smile. She smiled back sure Carter was nice but she wasn't interested.

"I think you might be following me. So tell me Baizen are you?" She joked.

"I have. Well not really I have just been trying to check Gossip Girl in the hopes of running into you again. Look I still owe you a coffee." He laughed. Jenny didn't know what to think. He didn't like her right? She hoped not.

"Uhm I have time right now but not that much if you don't mind." She said. She didn't mind, she wasn't interested and didn't want to have that much contact with him, sure he was nice but she had other problems and another guy that was on her mind 24/7. She was actually on her way to buy fabrics for some designs.

"No that's fine." He said and led her to a café. They ordered and sat down, they talked about nothing, just getting to know each other a little.

She felt her phone buzz and she already knew it would be Gossip Girl.

Spotted Little J getting coffee with Carter Baizen. Well well looks like Little J and Carter Baizen are closer than we though. What will lonely boy think of this?

She had a fun time with Carter but after 40 minutes Jenny felt like she had enough.

"Well thanks for the coffee but I really should get going I still have a lot to do." She said while standing up.

"Already?" He asked confused and followed her movement, also standing up.

"Yes, I am already running behind but thanks for the talk. Goodbye Carter." She said as she was already making her way out. He followed her out.

"Jenny wait up. Can I have your number?" He asked her. She looked at him unsure. Sure he was nice but she didn't feel the need to really stay in contact with him.

"Look Carter you are great and I had fun but I really need to go now. Maybe some other time." She said in the hope he would catch on. He smiled.

"Of course. No problem." He said. She gave him a small smile and left. Everyone their phones went off again.

Little J you sure know how to make them chase you. Who would've thought you would be able to have Golden boy and Baizen chase you within a year. You are one lucky girl.

On her way to the fabric shop she called Blair to explain before Blair would look for something that wasn't there.

"Jenny Humphrey you better have a good explanation for those blasts. I thought I made things clear?" Blair half screamed at her. Why did she know she would react like that?

"Blair calm down I can explain and trust me there is nothing to explain actually. I was supposed to get fabrics today and he saw the blast where I was today so he came. He wanted to get coffee to make up for the bumping into each other incident. He owed me he said. Look Blair I don't really like him, I didn't plan to go out with him and I have no interest in doing so. Trust me. There is nothing between me and Carter and there never will be. I could never see him again and I wouldn't mind. So can you calm down already?" She finished.

"Look I believe you Little J and as hard as it might seem to believe I am trying to look out for you. But I will tell the rest not to worry." Jenny laughed.

"Please do, I don't want Chuck to go all crazy for no reason. But thanks Blair, I care about you too."

"I never said that I-" Blair began. "You didn't have to." I cut her off.

"Blair I really need to go if I still want to find what I'm looking for. But thanks for concern. Bye Blair."

"Bye Little J." Jenny smiled. She quickly went into a shop and quickly found the fabric she was looking for. This would be perfect for the Snowflake ball. She only had 3 days to make the dress which was enough but she did not expect Vanessa to show up one day before the ball. She said some really hurtful things. How could Vanessa, she used to be her friend. And then things just happened so fast, the minions gave her the dress, she gave it to Vanessa. The ball arrived and then Vanessa told her she was going to break up with Nate. Jenny wanted to stop them, she really did but she was too late. What happened next broke her heart. The words he said will taunt her forever.

"I'm glad you didn't." "You're not who I thought you were." And then he chased after Vanessa! She stood there heartbroken in the middle of the room but quickly dashed out, people couldn't see that she was sad. She ran after him in the hope he would listen but then she broke completely. Vanessa and Nate were talking and then they were kissing. She watched them get in the cab together and she turned the other way. She was furious and heartbroken, not a good combination. She never wanted to have anything to do with either of them and with that in mind she quickly made her way home to put an end to all of this.

Oh Carter is back, oh no, will he cause trouble?
