Two hours earlier

"So this is the new realtor who has been buying up properties left and right for Contrapos locations. His name is Sydney White." Sergeant Bell posted a picture of a gray haired Caucasian man in his 70's on the bulletin board.

Elliot looked at the photo and instantly knew something about the man, but couldn't pinpoint it exactly. "I know this guy from somewhere." He pointed at the photo. "I know I know him from somewhere, but I can't remember how or where. When did he start buying up properties?" He looked over at Sergeant Bell.

"Two weeks ago. He must've just started working with the Wheatley's. Could he be a perp you collared in Italy?" She posed, picking up the man's file and handing it to Elliot.

"No, this is different. This feels older than Italy," said Elliot, staring at the photo intensely, now. Just then, he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. Olivia was finally returning his calls.

"Shit, Liv. Not right now. I'm trying to remember this asshole." He declined the call and set his phone down on his desk. As soon as he did, he remembered his connection to the man.

"I got it!" He exclaimed, excited at first, but then grew angry. "Oh shit, Liv." Sergeant Bell looked at Elliot, both curious and confused. "Got something you'd like to share with the class, Stabler?"

"This asshole was a perp Liv and I collared back in '99 when I worked in SVU. He raped and killed a girl, but not before stalking her, and then he started stalking Olivia. Fortunately ,he went to prison before he could do anything about it." Elliot started pacing now, trying to remember the details of that case.

"But he didn't go by Sydney back then. His name was—shit, what was it? Richard. Richard white was his name. This Sydney thing must be an alias because he's a convicted felon. God, I thought he'd die in Rikers before he got out. He must be almost 70 by now."

At this point, Sergeant Bell was writing the info Stabler was providing on the board. "Good, Stabler. Keep trying to remember. Anything you remember about him can help us find him. You said he tried stalking Olivia. Do you think he'd try that again?"

Elliots eyes widened. "Shit. He was locked on her sights and only on her all those years ago. I can only imagine how much he wants to get to her now." He started to grab his coat.

"Stabler, where are you going? Do you know where he might be?" Sergeant Bell asked.

"I gotta go warn Liv. If he's out here, she needs to know. He's a very dangerous man. I can't let him get to her this time." He started heading out of the office. "Dig up any information you can find on Richard White, and let me know what you find. I'll be back in a few hours."

With that, he closed the office door behind him and bolted to his car.

Olivia's home, Now:

"So why are you really here, El?" Liv asked, walking him into the living room so they could converse comfortably. "Other than to tell me how much you loved me, again."

Elliot chuckled at Olivia's joke, but I straightened up in his seat to show a sense of seriousness now. "Do you remember a perp we collared back in '99 named Richard White?"

"Now that's a name I haven't heard in a very long time." Olivia's eyes widened. "The same Richard White who stalked his victims and in turn, later stalked me, right? It's been what, 20, 22, 23 years since we heard from him? What's going on with him now?"

"He'a resurfaced. He just got out of Rikers two weeks ago. They let him out early on good behavior. I take it he hasn't reached out to you, then?"

Olivia shook her head. "Not at all. I definitely would've remembered my stalker, even if it was over 20 years ago. How did you find out about him?"

"Apparently he is working for Wheatley, now. He's doing low level work in real-estate for him, finding good locations for warehouses and such. But I thought you'd want to know in case he did reach out."

Olivia shook her head, almost in disbelief. "How did he manage that so quickly after getting out of Rikers?"

"All we know at the moment is Wheatley has people all over the state working for him. God only knows who found him. But with as persuasive as he is, it's only a matter of tome before he makes his way up the Wheatley ranks."

"Holy hell, Elliot. I just can't catch a break. Between Simon's death, you coming back and Kathy's death, the thing at Vanessa's, your 'intervention', and now this—what the hell?"

Elliot shook his head. "No idea, Liv. But if he reaches out, you won't have to deal with him alone. I'll be damned if I let him near you again. "
