Joseph walked down the street as fast as he could. Shizuka snored softly in his arms, she had fallen asleep shortly after they left the shop.

His heart couldn't stop racing. He hadn't pulled the World in years!

Not since Egypt.

This could only mean one thing, and he was horrified, but he needed to double-check. It'd be bad if he called everyone and freaked them out only to find out it was a false alarm.

He needed to find a camera.

Joseph turned the corner and smiled as he spotted a man standing next to a few suitcases with a camera on the top. The exact model he needed. The man was too busy reading a map to notice as Joseph walked past, taking the camera off the suitcase using Hermit Purple.

Joseph turned another corner and sat at an outdoor table at a closed cafe. Lucky for him, no one was around. He wrapped his hand in Hermit Purple, glancing at the baby. Hopefully, this wouldn't wake her up. He slammed his hand down on the camera and as it shattered it took a picture. He looked at the baby again, still soundly asleep.

He picked up the picture, shaking the debris off it.

"...What?" He whispered, holding the picture in the light. In the picture, it was just him! No one else there, no DIO, not even a glimpse!

...Except, Shizuka wasn't in the photo either?

He let out a sigh, he had no idea what this meant, he was even more confused than he was before!

He set the photo down and-

-The photo changed.

His breath caught in his throat. Where he stood in the photo, now stood DIO.

DIO was wearing his clothes, smirking at the camera like he knew something Joseph didn't.

Joseph stood up sharply, leaving the wrecked camera on the table. Shizuka somehow stayed asleep through this, her snores soft in his ear. He sprinted to the nearest payphone and put it to his ear. He noticed Hermit Purple was coiled around the phone receiver, but he didn't care. His hand shook as he went to dial Jotaro's number-

A hushed voice came through the phone's speaker.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, Joseph."

He let go of the phone in horror, but Hermit Purple remained wrapped around it keeping it in place. "It can't be. You're dead." Joseph whispered, trying not to startle the sleeping baby as he tried to recall his stand.

"And yet I'm not, thanks to you and your dear grandson," DIO said with a laugh. "That little prank of yours that day was quite funny… but also quite ironic if you ask me."

"What do you mean? Thanks to us?" Joseph asked, now pulling on his stand with his hand. It just wouldn't listen!

"I'm sure you've noticed by now that your Stand has stopped listening to you." He remarked, "Now, you watch closely."

Joseph watched in horror as Hermit Purple took his hat off and tossed it outside.

"...It can't be." He whispered, watching the hat blow away in the breeze. "You…"

"I believe I have your full attention now, not going to try and get away anymore?" DIO paused for a moment and chuckled, "Not as if you'd be able to."

Everything was silent for a moment, even Shizuka wasn't making a sound.

"Let's get to the point. Your body will soon be mine, not quite unlike how Jonathan's was mine. However, I won't need to put any effort into attaching myself or even adjusting to your body." DIO stated, the breeze seeming to pick up as he said this. "It has been only 10 years, but us having exchanged our blood must've sped up the process."

Joseph's heart sank farther than ever.

"It will take only about 24 hours for you to become a vampire, and for me to take full control over your body," DIO said, "And as such if you attempt to contact anyone about this…"

Joseph felt his blood boil. "If you touch a single hair on my family's heads I'll-"

"-When did I ever say I would be the one to kill them?" DIO laughed, "It'd be your face they'd stare into as they draw their final breaths, of course!"

As quickly as his blood boiled, it froze over.

Yet another silence.

"I-I'll still be able to stop you, DIO." He managed to choke out.

"Of course you will," DIO said cooly, "and I'm a velociraptor."

Joseph cringed as Hermit Purple shattered the phone right next to his head, he tried his best to shield Shizuka from the broken pieces flying around the room. Pieces of the plastic sliced open his face- and to his utter horror, the slices on his face closed as quickly as they opened.
